I'm a huge custom bowl fan. Chipotle, Cava... and now add On On to the rotation with Korean-style custom "super" bowls. This place hits a lot of the right notes. Very flavorful, generous portions, and it actually feels like you're getting fed, not "artistically under-served." I went with the beef, my son got the chicken, both half rice and half salad. Solid call. What really stood out was the number of topping options that didn't come with an upcharge. That alone earns points. Tons of fresh add-ins and a big lineup of sauces too. Teriyaki, cilantro, and several others. You can mix and match, grab more than one, and make it as fun or as safe as you want. Everything tasted fresh and well-prepped. I'm not a big cabbage fan, so I skipped the kimchi option, but there were plenty of other toppings to keep things interesting. Service was good, staff was friendly, and bonus points for the self-serve soda machine. Simple things, but they matter. Also worth noting the location. We were coming from the forum, and this was a perfect stop. Quick hop off the freeway, just about half a block away, eat, and you're right back on the road. Super convenient. Overall, really enjoyed the experience. Custom bowls continue their world tour--Mexican, Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, and now Korean. I'm officially waiting to see what's next. Now please open one of these in Huntington Beach so I don't have to drive for my bowl fix.

First timer here! I loved the options here to create your own bowl. Everything was fresh. I appreciated that the server allowed me to taste the proteins and sauces before making my decision. He was very kind. The restaurant was empty when I arrived which made it a quiet visit. Simple. Fresh and tasty! I'll be back!

Have you ever ran through brief videos in a social media platform? If you have, then you probably have also seen memes. Some of my favorite ones are those that are titled "He had one Job" or something similar. For instance, the meme shows a set of stairs that were built and lead to a wall, instead to a proper floor opening. I think one time I imagined a potential meme in line with this where the picture shows ice-cream cones without their critical holes. And today I think I caught one of these moments in the wild at this place. As the pictures I attached show there are three steps to ordering at On+On. The first step is to "Chose your Portion." In simpler terms, this is where you select the size you which to indulge, either regular or mini. I think most people should go for Regular. Like most people will buy a regular shirt or regular skirt, and others, for a specific reason, select a mini. The next step is add protein. Meaning that from choosing your size you chose your protein, either chicken, salmon, shrimp and pork meatball, with the list continuing to some other options. Then the third step is to add the base either brown rice, or white rice, or salad, kimchi rice or buckwheat noodles or a mix, of your preference. Step 2 and 3 are clearly wrogn. If you were to literally follow the steps you would chose 1) size, then chicken (for example, then put rice on top. Or maybe I am the one who is wrong, and that is the appropriate place to put rice or needles, atop of the chicken like a blanket instead of resting the chicken on the rice like a bed. Do the other places in this chain make this mistake? I went today with my phone to capture the small absurdity that I am hoping is meme worthy. I also met Ali today, a server from the join. I confirmed that her name was Ali, like Alissa, not like Alley, as in bowling, crime, or bubble gum. As I was ordering, I gave gestures and points before I said words. I was slightly impressed because she understood my points clearly and knew that when I tapped the glasses with two fingers, I wanted the sweet potatoes and the brussel sprouts. When I tapped the glass, I knew she wanted the peanut sauce. I did not mean to write this section to highlight my rude mime like behavior, but rather that she had developed an intuitive nature to finger points. She explained that a customer comes in, on the regular basis and communicates with her hands, only. She learned to attuned her serving to her language. Another example of how work spaces can be classrooms without chalk or professors. I am required to make the following obligatory observation: this place is the Korean relative of Chipotle I love this place. I wish there was one closer to my home. But then I may not love it as much. You know cause having to travel a bit for the treat keeps it a treat, having it too nearby might make me not appreciate its luster. You know how the story goes, novelty wear offs.

This place is a heathy alternative to things out there. Great Korean build your own bowl kind of place. The small is just enough food. Good proteins and good toppings as well. Stop by if you're in the area.

I'm a huge fan of ON + ON! It's healthy, fresh, and super delicious. Here, you can customize your meal by building your own bowl, or you can pick one of their House Favorite bowls. Whenever I come, I order one of their House Favorites. My favorite is the Kimchi Pork Bowl, which is very tasty and also very colorful/beautiful and filling. Their guava honey drink is nice and refreshing, so I'd definitely recommend ordering that as well! I always appreciate how quick and friendly the service is, so I'm able to order quickly and eat right away. This location is in a plaza, so there's always plenty of parking. The restaurant is also pretty spacious with several tables, so I've always been able to easily get seating inside during dinnertime.

Except for the carrots, 2 completely different bowls. Fresh and very tasty!

So glad there's one in Torrance. I've been to the one in Compton near the bus station which I absolutely loved. It was near closing time and the guys behind the counter were really cool about it. Not rushing us. You choose your meat, side veggies and sauces. DH and I ordered two completely different bowls. Both were amazingly delicious. Most importantly, very fresh, tasty and healthy ingredients. Definitely recommend if you like Asian bowls and want something healthy. Will definitely come back.

I love the food here, so good and refreshing. Usually order the bbq beef bowl, whenever I'm hungry but want a whole food healthier choice I choose this. So filling but the good kind. Big portions of food also. Tried the lemonades for the first time. Mango is by far my favorite but the banana ginger is tasty as well. Also the customer service here form the man in the front, not sure if his name but he is delightful to come across. Not many people give customer service the way he does.

This is my favorite fast casual restaurant in Torrance. I came to this location because the other Torrance location is closed on Sunday. This is a relatively new location, and I just wish this franchise would open a location in Glendale/Pasadena/Burbank. For me, this chain of restaurants are worth the drive to the South Bay.

Recently stopped by here about a year after trying it for the first time…read more I have to say, Pasta Stories really stepped up their game in terms of serving time! The first time I ate here, it took maybe 20-25 minutes for me to get my food. This time, I had my food in around 10 minutes. I was very impressed with this big decrease in wait time. This time I tried the new Hokkaido cream pasta, which tasted super fresh and made to order. The cream was warm and rich without feeling over the top like some other cream-based pasta sauces from Italian/American places. I liked the addition of spinach and mushrooms as well. The restaurant is in a food court with a few other options, and a decent amount of seating. It's also inside of a grocery store, so if you're with a picky group, everyone could theoretically order something different and eat together. I remember I was a little put off by the anime branding of the restaurant at first (it seemed a little childish to me) but Pasta Stories is really a solid wafu pasta place, and I love that they focus on different regional flavors of Japan. Prices are very affordable as well, with most pastas being around $15 and under.

For a cost friendly meal, the expectation in quality generally tends to be low but Pasta Stories is…read morethe exception. With meals ranging from $10-$17, there is something for everyone. I personally have tried the following: Hokkaido Cream Pasta (newest addition as of late) Fukuoka Mentaiko Butter Pasta Kyoto Matcha Cream Pasta (one of my favorite dishes here - pair with salmon for a strong, umami flavor profile) Iwate Triple Mushroom Pasta Okinawa Pork Ragu Spaghetti (THE number 1 pick, however was not on the menu when I visited last) Osaka American Wagyu Meat Sauce There is a strong attention to Japanese flavors fusing with traditional Italian pasta dishes and are all made with love and care. I always recommend this place to friends and family, I can't get enough of it!

I stopped in on a Tuesday for lunch and knew I was going to get the curry puffs. The last time I ordered these I was with a friend and had to share but not this time. I was on a solo lunch and looking forward to the puffs! To say they are "perfect" seems insufficient. They were fried incredibly well, hot, crunchy, tasty, but never greasy. And these little puffs were filled with minced beef, potatoes, and seasoning! For my main dish, I chose the dragon noodles (pad thai) with chicken. All the veggies in the dish were cooked perfectly, nothing too mushy, just the right amount of crunch/bite to the cabbage, broccoli, and carrots. And the chicken was chunky! And while I loved everything about the dish, the sprinkling of the crushed peanuts was *chef's kiss*. There's no skimping on those peanuts here. As I write this I'm excited for the leftover noodles waiting for me. When you walk into Sausalido you really do feel welcomed. The space is unassuming in the best way possible. Posters of the drinks they offer (coffee, smoothies, boba) adorn the walls, along with pictures of the various food items they have. My only gripe was that it had a bit too much rice which could have been better balanced with a thicker slice of spam. Regardless, it was solid. Now the star was the chicken combo.
