Have you ever ran through brief videos in a social media platform? If you have, then you probably have also seen memes. Some of my favorite ones are those that are titled "He had one Job" or something similar. For instance, the meme shows a set of stairs that were built and lead to a wall, instead to a proper floor opening. I think one time I imagined a potential meme in line with this where the picture shows ice-cream cones without their critical holes. And today I think I caught one of these moments in the wild at this place. As the pictures I attached show there are three steps to ordering at On+On. The first step is to "Chose your Portion." In simpler terms, this is where you select the size you which to indulge, either regular or mini. I think most people should go for Regular. Like most people will buy a regular shirt or regular skirt, and others, for a specific reason, select a mini. The next step is add protein. Meaning that from choosing your size you chose your protein, either chicken, salmon, shrimp and pork meatball, with the list continuing to some other options. Then the third step is to add the base either brown rice, or white rice, or salad, kimchi rice or buckwheat noodles or a mix, of your preference. Step 2 and 3 are clearly wrogn. If you were to literally follow the steps you would chose 1) size, then chicken (for example, then put rice on top. Or maybe I am the one who is wrong, and that is the appropriate place to put rice or needles, atop of the chicken like a blanket instead of resting the chicken on the rice like a bed. Do the other places in this chain make this mistake? I went today with my phone to capture the small absurdity that I am hoping is meme worthy. I also met Ali today, a server from the join. I confirmed that her name was Ali, like Alissa, not like Alley, as in bowling, crime, or bubble gum. As I was ordering, I gave gestures and points before I said words. I was slightly impressed because she understood my points clearly and knew that when I tapped the glasses with two fingers, I wanted the sweet potatoes and the brussel sprouts. When I tapped the glass, I knew she wanted the peanut sauce. I did not mean to write this section to highlight my rude mime like behavior, but rather that she had developed an intuitive nature to finger points. She explained that a customer comes in, on the regular basis and communicates with her hands, only. She learned to attuned her serving to her language. Another example of how work spaces can be classrooms without chalk or professors. I am required to make the following obligatory observation: this place is the Korean relative of Chipotle I love this place. I wish there was one closer to my home. But then I may not love it as much. You know cause having to travel a bit for the treat keeps it a treat, having it too nearby might make me not appreciate its luster. You know how the story goes, novelty wear offs.

This place is a heathy alternative to things out there. Great Korean build your own bowl kind of place. The small is just enough food. Good proteins and good toppings as well. Stop by if you're in the area.

I'm a huge fan of ON + ON! It's healthy, fresh, and super delicious. Here, you can customize your meal by building your own bowl, or you can pick one of their House Favorite bowls. Whenever I come, I order one of their House Favorites. My favorite is the Kimchi Pork Bowl, which is very tasty and also very colorful/beautiful and filling. Their guava honey drink is nice and refreshing, so I'd definitely recommend ordering that as well! I always appreciate how quick and friendly the service is, so I'm able to order quickly and eat right away. This location is in a plaza, so there's always plenty of parking. The restaurant is also pretty spacious with several tables, so I've always been able to easily get seating inside during dinnertime.

Except for the carrots, 2 completely different bowls. Fresh and very tasty!

So glad there's one in Torrance. I've been to the one in Compton near the bus station which I absolutely loved. It was near closing time and the guys behind the counter were really cool about it. Not rushing us. You choose your meat, side veggies and sauces. DH and I ordered two completely different bowls. Both were amazingly delicious. Most importantly, very fresh, tasty and healthy ingredients. Definitely recommend if you like Asian bowls and want something healthy. Will definitely come back.

I love the food here, so good and refreshing. Usually order the bbq beef bowl, whenever I'm hungry but want a whole food healthier choice I choose this. So filling but the good kind. Big portions of food also. Tried the lemonades for the first time. Mango is by far my favorite but the banana ginger is tasty as well. Also the customer service here form the man in the front, not sure if his name but he is delightful to come across. Not many people give customer service the way he does.

This is my favorite fast casual restaurant in Torrance. I came to this location because the other Torrance location is closed on Sunday. This is a relatively new location, and I just wish this franchise would open a location in Glendale/Pasadena/Burbank. For me, this chain of restaurants are worth the drive to the South Bay.

Fresh and delicious! The hubby and I love On + On. Whenever we are feeling fresh veggies, this is our spot. I usually choose a mini bowl without a protein. For my base, I go with buckwheat noodles. The next items I get are the sweet potatoes, tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchini, and shredded carrots topped with their delicious peanut sauce. On top of that, I get the sesame seeds. The hubby gets a regular sized bowl with similar veggies but with meatballs, kimchee, and topped w/nori sauce. The service here is always pleasant and the dining area is clean. The different types of lemonade are yummy. We are regulars and due for another visit. :)

I love On + On! It gives me Chipotle vibes but with an Asian twist. You enter and you go down the line to pick and choose the items you want to include in your bowl, similar to chipotle. You pick your base, protein, vegetables, toppings, sauce, and garnishes. You make it uniquely to your liking. So, if you don't like it, that's kind of your fault. Lol I kind of went a little crazy with my bowl. Everything looked good so I wanted it all. My bowl had a little bit of everything and it was actually really good! The food was light and not heavy or oily. It tasted fresh and healthy is what I'm trying to say. haha The restaurant itself is basic. You know, they have regular indoor seating which is fine. Nothing extravagant but that's ok. The staff was friendly and helpful considering this was my first time. I will be back for more!

Got food delivered from here. It's not bad! Pretty healthy and flavors are a bit toned down. The sauces do taste a bit different than what you'd expect. Not a bad thing, just different. My sister and I both got the bibimbap inspired beef bowl. Delicious! It was pretty hard to finish the food. Maybe because the rice was a lot. We both had leftovers for the next day. It's a good option around here!

The panko crumbs on the chicken was nice and light. It was perfectly fried and not too hard/over crispy. The meat was also juicy. My toddler ate 3 large pieces of it and kept complimenting how tasty it was. The kim chi fried rice had a great fried egg in it and had great flavor. Even the side of rice was delicious! It was moist and sticky without being overcooked. The bad: I didn't get to experience the food court dining in the grocery store. The interesting: The dishes came with a side salad with orange dressing, pickled yellow radish, and some citrus wedges. The dishes came with 3 pickled side dishes (including kim chi). and a soup.

So we scoured its food court for a quick meal and found this stall with a large selection of Korean dishes. After browsing through their wall mount menu, we ordered the following dishes: A1 Galbi Tang: Do you like juicy pork ribs in clear broth? Then this dish is for you. It came with 2 huge pieces of super tender short rib simmered in a light but flavorful broth with some soft texture glass noodles. It also came with a small set of traditional Korean Banchan side dishes (with kimchi, preserved turnip and seaweed salad) and a bowl of steamed rice. A16 Hot Stone Bibimbap: This dish is for those who like veggies. Inside the hot stone bowl, there were lettuce, bean sprouts, carrots, turnips, mushrooms, and zucchini. Nicely arranged and topped with seaweed, fried egg, and slices of soft beef. On the bottom of the bowl, it had slightly burnt steam rice dabbed with sesame oil. Mixing them all together, it created a kaleidoscope of colors, and delicious blending of flavors and textures. This dish also came with one set of Banchan. For those who like spiciness, it provided Korean chili sauce in a sealed condiment cup. The portions were great and the prices were reasonable. Another great spot for casual Korean food in South Bay.

Additionally, you get side dishes, a choice of a stew (kimchi or fermented soybean), corn cheese, steamed egg, and salad. We also ordered the beef tartare, since they had posters of it around the restaurant. The beef tartare is definitely in the top 3 of the ones I've tried around OC and SD.
