I really enjoyed ON + ON at Haven City Market. I've been to Haven City several times but never ordered a bowl from here until now. I decided to get a house favorite bowl - the Fiesta Chicken Bowl and it was delish. Ingredients were fresh and portions were generous! I love the combination of ingredients in this bowl - all things i love like brussel sprouts, chicken, corn, and Kim chi in a bowl. Or as my kids would call it - mom food. You also have the option of doing a "Build your own Bowl" experience - very much like a Chipotle but with Korean based ingredients. Customers really get a good value from here which probably explains the long lines at this counter vs. the one next door. This will definitely be one of my go-tos when I'm at Haven City! read more

My husband and I shared the BBQ combo plate, which had galbi and bbq chicken. The meats were pretty good, but everything else was lackluster. We subbed white rice for kimchi rice, which I didn't enjoy much. However, the meats were pretty good for a quick service spot. First time at this Heaven City location. The location is a busy area. I ordered the chicken combo plate. It came with katsu and grilled chicken, macaroni salad, noodles, rice and two sides. I wasn't very impressed with the food. The two stars is because the chicken was good and staff were very friendly and helpful. The macaroni salad and noodles were only about a ounce each. It was a very small amount. The macaroni salad was swimming in the mayonnaise. It overpowered the salad. I also expected to have katsu sauce or teriyaki sauce based on the types of chicken I got. The sauces were what tasted like ketchup (confusing) and what I think was meant to be a spicy or seasoned mayo. Unfortunately it didn't have enough of the spice to tell what it was. Again, the chicken itself was very good but that was it. The macaroni salad and random sauces kind of ruined the meal. I would not eat here again. read more

Felt like I had higher expectations, but it's just really me realizing that I don't like brussels sprouts that much. It tasted a bit bitter. Maybe it could have been cooked better? Also, some pieces were too charred including the chicken. I expected more flavor too. Not enough chicken, there were way more brussels sprouts than chicken. Love the ambiance of Haven City Market. ON+ON Fresh Korean Kitchen is located inside the Haven City Market. This is one of those food stalls that will serve you Korean style food with a few twists to it. Immediately as I was looking at the menu, I was drawn towards the garlic shrimp and short ribs, and I knew that was what I would be getting. It comes with brussels sprouts, and greens and the proteins are served over steamed rice. You place your order and you are given a buzzer for when your food is ready. The food looked great! The flavor was good, just the freshness of it was not there. Everything was lukewarm at best. Not that I expected the freshest dish at a food court, but I believe they could've maybe given it a little bit more freshness by cooking it a few minutes longer. We ordered the bbq combo and the food was good. We asked for two cups of water and they gave us two cups of water. I came back and asked for a third cup of water and the guy responded with he already gave us two cups of water. I didn't know there was a limit on water cups. The cup itself is also pretty small which isn't the problem but I just haven't been denied before a cup of water. Especially after ordering from the establishment. Also the way person went about speaking in a tone of manner the worker, wasn't very polite. They food was good, although the bowls were smaller than I had expected. The employees do weigh the amount of protein each bowl gets, so it should be consistent. The chicken was diced up into small pieces. The bowls were good, but was not great. I would come back if I was craving fresh/healthy options. Side note - not reflecting the rating of On + On - The parking for Haevn City is HORRIBLE. There's too many vendors for that tiny parking lot. Parking is rough, this place is located in Haven City there are too many shops per parking spaces prepared for a search. Food court style food, the service is quick and efficient. The food was average, overall the chicken was salty and more salty, you really have to get a bunch of other more bland toppings to level it out. I was at Haven City Market West Covina once again the day after Grand Opening Day. I wanted to offer my patronage and support on 5 more different food vendors. ON + ON Fresh Korean looked interesting. Concept is you build your own bowl with base of rice or salad, protein of choice, and veggies as the toppings. It's almost like an Asian Chipotle. Thought I try them out. I didn't get a full bowl because I had already eaten at another food vendor. Instead I got a side order of brussel sprouts. It looked good in hopes it tastes good. And it was good. Yay! It had a charred taste which I like on grilled vegetables. Flavor was nice. Tenderness was perfect. I've only gotten a liking of brussel sprouts due to another restaurant. Now I get brussel sprouts whenever I see them. The lady who helped me was super sweet. Price for the side was very reasonable. I'll be back to try their full bowl next time. The food is always tasty, but the service recently has declined. I had a rude experience with the server Aylin where she honestly just rushed my mom and I. She was very rude and did not really let me complete my order. It made me really sad because this was a place I always went to for comfort because the staff was friendly in the past. Next decide on the vegetable include , roasted Brussels sprouts, mixed zucchini etc. lastly toppings and sauces. Too indecisive? Pick from their classic house specials. I opted for original bowl size I was feeling hangry, if you know,you know , when I am starving my eyes are bigger than my stomach. The bowl size portion was huge 32 oz. , I didn't finish my meal, hubby finished the rest. We both thought our food was delicious and fresh. Overall I love the concepts, Not many fast foods eateries offer many varieties of vegetables & healthy options selections to choose from. You get to choose two bases, one protein, two veggies, unlimited toppings, and two sauces. We got brown rice and salad with bbq beef. Picked sweet potato and Brussels kimchi for veggies. The ingredients were all so fresh and the meat was so flavorful. The bowl was heavy and filling! We shared one between two people and it was definitely more than enough! Similar to chipotle, the bowl pricing is based on the meat of choice. The server will weigh the base and protein to a specific amount on a scale. You can do half and half for the bases. I got half salad and half rice! The BBQ beef was flavorful but requires a bit of chewing. Due to the marinade, I could go without the dressing, but for the grilled meats, I would probably add the dressing for more flavor. The toppings were more of a fusion of items. I got pickled carrots, Brussels sprouts, and broccoli and mushroom. For the dressing, the honey teriyaki and cilantro dressing was super good! Loved that I could just pick and choose what I wanted and didn't have a wait for it to be ready. I did half buckwheat and half kimchi fried rice with beef and a variety of veggies on top. My only complaint was that the beef and fried rice weren't very warm from sitting out. Loved the flavors and ability to create a fun bowl on each visit. I was only able to try the beef and I want to try the spicy pork next! Service is was what made me knock off one star. It was really slow for having everything already prepped. This is one of the only places in haven market where I can get salad that's why I go, but I won't anymore. I've endured rude customer service most of the time m, except for the first time I went and she was a sweet young girl, not sure if hispanic or white but she's the only one who spoke good english that I've encountered. The last time I was there, the server dropped a Brussel sprout on the counter while making my bowl and I thought she's throw it out but instead she put it back in the container. Highly unhygienic. Also when I paid and she saw that I did not tip when she basically said I could pick options, I took it as she was expecting a tip but didn't get any, she walked away looking disappointed. It is located within an indoor/outdoor food court, which I think is fairly new (opened within the last few months?). There are countless options for various Asian food spots - bbq, hotpot, ramen, etc. The place is quite lively, with a lot of lights and a beautiful Christmas tree. It was nighttime and I didn't see anybody outside in what looks like a beer garden, but I would imagine that when the sun comes out it is buzzing with activity. My bowl was excellent! I mixed bases - rice and greens. I was tempted to try the Kimchi rice, but I will check it out next time. I usually don't complain about the saltiness of my food when eating out because the overwhelming majority of restaurants are within acceptable levels, but this On+On is just too salty! The bowls here are delicious. I got the 32 oz regular bowl. You get choice two based on the Kimchi Rice and buckwheat noodles. You can choose between grilled chicken, BBQ beef, spicy pork, grilled salmon, shrimp & pork meatballs, and veggies for protein. I got the spicy pork. The pork was incredible and seasoned well. For veggies, I got the roasted mushrooms and broccoli and sautéed zucchini. It was sautéed to perfection. For toppings, I got cucumber and carrot & radish. For sauce, I got hot.
