Took my family who were visiting out of town to look through the shop. I mentioned they had lobster rolls and my sister was very excited. We ordered three and sat outside and waited. Love how they have updated the outdoor area. Love that they have free cups of lemon water. We loved the lobster rolls! Not too mushy/juicy like they were last time. What a cool little place! It's a boutique, it's an eatery of sorts, it has a full bar and the folks working here are hilarious. I got a carry out; ordered the lobster roll with pasta salad. The roll was awesome; a fluffy soft bread that could still hold up to the lobster. The lobster was delicious and in large chunks which made it even better. The roll got a little soggy on the bottom from the oil and the pasta salad was not my favorite. It was extremely oily and nothing really stood out. But I'm looking forward to coming back for some more amazing food and bringing some folks with me. I got to sample a rum runner and it was as good as they said it would be. We have seen reviews for this unique place and really wanted to check it out! We were so happy we did. This place started off as a cute boutique with very unique gifts and eventually expanded to include coffee. Then a full bar. And eventually a full kitchen. We weren't really sure what to expect walking in. But when we went to sit at the bar, an igloo was offered. We didn't want to make anything very difficult for them but they seemed like they wanted us to sit out there. So they fired up the heater and our fun began. They have an awesome out door patio that looks super fun in the summer. The Wonder... Several igloos of all different sizes. All heated. They off you blankets. It was cozy and romantic in there. We just loved it. We ordered some cocktails and then the lobster flatbread. I highly recommend trying the flatbread. Omg. It was so delicious!! We enjoyed our time there and would go out of the way to come back! I feel like we neglect this area and it's only about 20 min from me. Sadly we didn't have as great of an experience as others here. Our food came out in two rounds, about 10 minutes apart, and it was a hot dog and lobster bisque that was part of the second round (meaning, why would that take longer?) . The hot dog was burned as was my roll on my lobster roll. My dad's bacon jam hamburger was smothered in far too much sauce. The server was not very pleasant nor great at keeping us informed on the delays either. She had to be told by the very nice and efficient hostess/manager to come wait on us. One of the quirkiest and most unique boutique/restaurant/bar I've ever seen. Located a mere block from Lake St. Clair in beautiful old downtown New Baltimore, this shop/bar/restaurant has year 'round outdoor seating out back and two bars and tables inside. They keep a water theme for Michigan while having a tropical vibe mixed in. Everyone is amazingly friendly and helpful too! We stopped in for dessert since the ice cream parlor a few doors down was closed for the season and WOW! The smells of garlic and lobster (yes, lobster!) waft through the air, enticing your stomach to demand food! We ended up getting lunch and got the Bay Platter and a lobster roll! OMG! This is the BEST BBQ! And the lobster roll? Felt like I was in Maine! The milk shake and tiramisu for dessert made us lazy enough to go home and take a nap! Lol! One thing: NO FRIED FOODS! NEVER, EVER will I return to ON THE BAY BOUTIQUE in New Baltimore!!! I purchased a mirror back in Sept and ordered another matching one. It should be in in Oct. PERFECT! Contacted them in Oct., Nope, no mirror. Dec: no mirror. Due in January. January: mirror is in!!! They rec'd 2 mirrors in their shipment to their store. I sent them pics AND dimensions of my original purchase. Yep, its the one! We'll send it to you NO CHARGE. I said I have no problem paying for something that I purchased. Today: Owner reaches out to me--again--saying that this is NOT the mirror, but they have 2 of another mirror. I'll give them to you --at a discounted rate for both mirrors--just give the one you originally bought away. So basically, I'd be paying for 3 mirrors. I'll have the girls from my store wrap them and ship them to you. Now, the owner says they're being shipped from New Jersey. What the actual hell??? Customer service is EVERYTHING. Thankfully discovered it by accident (Sept 03, 2022. The best mistake the family ever made. Their smoothies were worth waiting for. Labor day weekend and all the help was as fresh and refreshing as if it was their first day of the summer. I am now a strong believer in their smoothies and will no longer avoid them. The smiles, the happiness, and the cheerful attitude is contagious. We sat inside, at the bar and most people thought we were related to the help because we were so deep in conversation with each one employee. Just went here today and wanted to say the stars are not based on the waitress. They were very short staffed saying many people quit today. Instead of the manager helping out the staff she walked around and talked with customers instead of helping the very stressed out wait staff. Great little restaurant in the area, especially with the newer renovations. We come here for the vibes more than anything (and the fact that they have a multitude of items with lobster). The drinks are yummy. Everything we've had food-wise has been great (mac&cheese, lobster flatbread, giant pretzel). Only complaint that makes us give this 4 stars - the prices. I know that it's lobster. I'm aware it's expensive. However, for the quantity that comes on something like the flatbread, it just doesn't seem worth it all the way. Will I come back? Absolutely! But, do I consider what I order and whether or not I also get a drink more than I do at other restaurants? For sure. Before anyone comes at me, I understand that restaurants are experiencing staff shortages but the waitress was extremely rude and short with us. What an adorable little bistro with great food and yummy drinks! The front is a boutique store with a variety of cute things and a tiny 3 seat counter. We were taken through the store to the patio in the back. It transported you to a cute little vacation spot with its tropical decor. We all had slushy drinks and really enjoyed them. The only problem we had were with the bees that were attracted to our beverages. The bistro really can not control what Mother Nature does. One bee died by alcohol. The waitress replaced the drink with no problem at all. I had the burnt tips platter. Everything on it was great and made perfectly. My husband had the lobster roll and is still in love. They "don't have sections" so no one has any idea what table has been sitting there forever and who's been helped. We waited forever and then forever again just to get all of our food at once (appetizer and entree at the same time..) The lobster roll was so dry! The lobster Mac and cheese was okay, but nothing special. We waited forever again for the bill but we had to go so we went inside and asked someone for it. While we waited for that, I watched a guy make a plate with a side of chips. He dug his whole bare hand into a huge bag and plated the meal with no gloves!! So gross! read more

Eaten here thrice since COVID & they are doing a wonderful job following precautions while providing quality food. Big fan of the soups & even bigger fan of the breakfast sandwiches. Their bagel/egg/bacon/cheese breakfast sandwich provides definite motivation to get there before 11am on a Saturday! My only feedback is it would be cool if they provided real plates/silverware when you choose to dine in their outdoor courtyard! I know with COVID, disposable is safer & easier.
