I chose to wfh here in a Friday and the space is small and cozy. The sandwich I had was very good and I'd definitely come back to work again. I enjoyed being able to sit at the window and watch folks walking around the neighborhood. The employees were so nice and willing to chat in down time. I asked for suggestions and they all have me their faves on the menu and I went with the tuna melt!

I ordered my food through DoorDash and when I received it, it was still warm which I appreciated it. The bacon is thick cut and salty, just how I like it. That made the sandwich even better because the bacon was thick cut and not the regular bacon others serve. The croissant was soft and flaky and I appreciate how the cheese was melted to perfection. I really enjoyed my sandwich and would order it again. The hash browns unfortunately were not seasoned at all. Very bland! I had to add salt and pepper, reheat it and then add ketchup. They gave me a big portion but they weren't good. I can make them better at home. Over all I would order the breakfast sandwich again. Maybe I'll try something else at another time.

    Cute local spot!

OMG Baltimore!!! What the flip is going on On this Hill Cafe! Yes it's cute, trendy and has all the artsy type coming in and out. I swear I'm on a movie set. But then I tasted the food! And it's even better than the great and fast service and the cool aesthetic! I thought I was coming for waffles but I didn't see them on the menu (my bad). So I opted for morning cachapas w scrambled eggs and plant based chorizo! My mouth was singing - don't ya know!? It was sweet, savory, buttery goodness in my mouth! The corn cake took away any waffles craving I could have started off with and the chorizo is nothing I ever tasted- I just wanted more! I want another breakfast ASAP- I can't wait to try their other items and this place is my new BMore fav

    SO MUCH CHEESE EW

Ordered the capaches on Grubhub. It arrived cold and covered with a TON of nasty cheese, like probably 6 slices of cheese. Soaked in oil completely gross

I've worked at MICA for 15 years and have always loved On the Hill! In fact when I first started, I would go almost everyday and then realized that wasn't healthy for my budget. I had the tacos Asada with steak and they were delicious! Meat was flavorful and juicy. Only thing is that there were so many juices that by the time I got to my second and third taco, the tortilla had fallen apart. On the Hill closed during the pandemic and re-opened a few weeks ago with a brand new look and menu (it's now a full-Latinx menu). I have to say that I miss the personal touch and being able to talk with the workers; everything is now electronic/computer but it's also limited with custom options. I ate there today and my coworker doesn't like avocado, made a note in her order, but it wasn't followed and still got avocado. I just hope their able to move the needle to be a little more personable and customer-oriented.

I stopped in for a quick luck. I ordered online so my sandwich was hot and ready when I arrived. I got the Zola Chicken Sandwich and it was so good. Would definitely go back.

On the Hill (OTH) was my 'go to' spot for many years (nearly a decade). I could always count on this spot to provide delicious treats/ meals, without fail. Once the pandemic hit, things changed drastically. They shut down for quite some time. Then reopened as a Latin 'to go' eatery. That didn't last long. They shut back down and stayed down for a while. Now OTH is back. The menu has been pared down quite a bit and some of my fave offerings are no longer available. That aside, I'm still loyal so I decided to try the... Everything Bagel & Lox: Toasted Everything Bagel, Cream Cheese, Tomato, Bermuda Onion, Cucumber. Capers. This preparation came chock full of delicious ingredients. The onion used was red onion and not Bermuda... but aside from that, the bagel was stacked nicely. I was excited to destroy this once I got to my destination. Once unwrapped and I took my 1st bite, I couldn't bite all the way thru the bagel. I thought it was a 'fluke' so I tried a different area. NOPE! The ENTIRE bagel was inedible. The inside was soft like dough and the crust (top/bottom) was hard as a rock. Not even crispy pretzel hard but ROCK HARD. Evidently, this bagel is stale and/freezer burned. I couldn't bite through. I tried scraping the toppings and it was incredibly messy. I ended up dropping pieces and just got frustrated. As u can see in the pics, the entire bagel is till there, petrified for the earth to never be able to breakdown. What a shame. What a waste. What a disappointment. And what makes matters worse, is I can't even contact them. They have no working phone. I don't understand how such a formerly well oiled machine has missed the mark on so many levels.

I found this restaurant on YELP. Ordered through YELP and got a refund through YELP or whatever ordering system they have. ONE STAR because not only is the restaurant CLOSED CLOSED, THEY STILL TOOK MY ORDER, TOOK MY MONEY, GAVE ME A PICKUP TIME AND NOBODY CONTACTED ME ABOUT ANYTHING. So of course when I pull up to the location I am confused to as why there's a closed sign on the door, the chairs are turned upside down on the tables and no one is inside. I call customer support and they refund my money, but of course it is going to take 3 to 7 business days to return. Someone had to except the order and start the process for me to get any of those notifications. They could've easily cancelled the order without me having to go through this process of waiting to get my money back when they knew they had been closed for a while now.

I loved the selection of pastries they offered--the pandan pastry was definitely my favorite. My husband ordered the drip coffee over ice, and I got the Vietnamese iced coffee. Both coffees were excellent. The Vietnamese coffee was a bit too sweet for my taste, and it was served in a very small glass. I think it would have been even better with a little more coffee to balance the sweetness. For lunch, we ordered the kimbap and the egg bowl, and both dishes were outstanding. The only downside was that it took about 35 minutes for our food to arrive. However, the cafe was extremely busy and clearly backed up, so we didn't mind the wait too much--especially since the food was so delicious. The indoor space is quite small, but they do offer outdoor seating. I can't wait to come back and try more of their Asian-inspired pastries and dishes. What a fantastic addition to the neighborhood!

Anyone can show up, any time. Everyone's welcomed. You can have a good convo w/o having to scream thru it. MASSIVE PLUS *smile*!!! From a musical perspective, all sorts of genres pump thru the system and the ability to make selections is much better than other bars, which is great. It's even better when your selections are getting other people to enjoy the music and their time there, as well. Always a crowd pleaser. Aside from a fully stocked bar, there's a great beer selection. I happen to LOVE ciders and there's always an excellent choice available. The bartenders are always welcoming and accommodating. People come to unwind and have a good time w/o any pretense. I really enjoy the Tavern for that reason.

[Disclaimer: this is a comprehensive review so buckle in and let's go!]…read more I used to frequent Hopkins Market (HM) when it was a tiny cafe that had good food. Always friendly staff. Good space. I was sad to see that they left. The replacement, however, has truly impressed me. The new & improved current location has nearly 'quadrupled' in size with its redesign/ buildout. The location is well lit and has morphed from a small neighborhood cafe into a full service vendor. Aside from a menu offering an impressive myriad of options, HM is also a massive grocer/ wine & cafe. They offer wine tastings and a very clean space. I believe they openEd in 2025. On to the stats: STAFF: Everyone is friendly & helpful. SUNDRIES: An expansive selection of liquor, beer & wine; snacks; candy; soda; coffee; household goods; grocer goods; Knick knacks. LIQUOR PURCHASES: A GREAT perk is liquor can be purchased until close (11 or 12). CAFE FEEDBACK [This is an amalgamation of dishes based on numerous visits. Didn't want to come across like a serious 'BIG BACK' LOL - On To The Vittles: 1. Chicken salad sub (recommended). Freshly made. Simple recipe [Mayo, S&P, celery, a few spices] (which I really enjoy, when done well) and sizable portions. SCORE! 2. French fries (recommended). Toasty/ crispy of the outside, fluffy inside w/ very good flavor. SCORE! 3. Yellow cake w/ choc icing. A tasty sheet cake / good grocery store offering. Moist cake, thick flavorful icing. DELISH! SCORE! 4. Dolmas - Stuffed Grape Leaves. I absolutely love these. Unsure if they're made in house or brought in but they're tasty. Not always in stock but when they are - SCORE! 5. Guava nectar - Absolutely delicious! Give me more. 6. Pear Nectar - Absolutely delicious! Give me more. 7. Pastrami sandwich - DEEEELISHIOUS. Tastes like it came straight from a NY deli counter. I added Swiss & deli mustard (heated). Perfect recipe. Don't overdo it. TRIPLE WORD SCORE!! 8. Western Fries - Crunchy exterior and fluffy interior. Seasoned well. SCORE!! 9. Onion Rings - I wished they were beer battered instead of being super crunchy. They also lacked ANY flavor. Breading wasn't seasoned at all. A little salt in the batter or at the end would've made a world of difference. CRIME! 10. Marble Chocolate Cake: Delicious chocolate frosting. Cake was drier than I like. I enjoy a moist cake. That wasn't one. I do think, however, that the deserts are shipped in - so I can't hold it against them (TIP: Change your baker) 11. Egg & Cheese Sandwich: on toasted Rye w/ mayo, mustard, S&P. THIS is my 'GO TO'. When I don't want meat but I'm hungry, this always satiates me. I'm a big fan of this addition to the area.
