I chose to wfh here in a Friday and the space is small and cozy. The sandwich I had was very good and I'd definitely come back to work again. I enjoyed being able to sit at the window and watch folks walking around the neighborhood. The employees were so nice and willing to chat in down time. I asked for suggestions and they all have me their faves on the menu and I went with the tuna melt!

I ordered my food through DoorDash and when I received it, it was still warm which I appreciated it. The bacon is thick cut and salty, just how I like it. That made the sandwich even better because the bacon was thick cut and not the regular bacon others serve. The croissant was soft and flaky and I appreciate how the cheese was melted to perfection. I really enjoyed my sandwich and would order it again. The hash browns unfortunately were not seasoned at all. Very bland! I had to add salt and pepper, reheat it and then add ketchup. They gave me a big portion but they weren't good. I can make them better at home. Over all I would order the breakfast sandwich again. Maybe I'll try something else at another time.

    SO MUCH CHEESE EW

Ordered the capaches on Grubhub. It arrived cold and covered with a TON of nasty cheese, like probably 6 slices of cheese. Soaked in oil completely gross

OMG Baltimore!!! What the flip is going on On this Hill Cafe! Yes it's cute, trendy and has all the artsy type coming in and out. I swear I'm on a movie set. But then I tasted the food! And it's even better than the great and fast service and the cool aesthetic! I thought I was coming for waffles but I didn't see them on the menu (my bad). So I opted for morning cachapas w scrambled eggs and plant based chorizo! My mouth was singing - don't ya know!? It was sweet, savory, buttery goodness in my mouth! The corn cake took away any waffles craving I could have started off with and the chorizo is nothing I ever tasted- I just wanted more! I want another breakfast ASAP- I can't wait to try their other items and this place is my new BMore fav

I've worked at MICA for 15 years and have always loved On the Hill! In fact when I first started, I would go almost everyday and then realized that wasn't healthy for my budget. I had the tacos Asada with steak and they were delicious! Meat was flavorful and juicy. Only thing is that there were so many juices that by the time I got to my second and third taco, the tortilla had fallen apart. On the Hill closed during the pandemic and re-opened a few weeks ago with a brand new look and menu (it's now a full-Latinx menu). I have to say that I miss the personal touch and being able to talk with the workers; everything is now electronic/computer but it's also limited with custom options. I ate there today and my coworker doesn't like avocado, made a note in her order, but it wasn't followed and still got avocado. I just hope their able to move the needle to be a little more personable and customer-oriented.

I stopped in for a quick luck. I ordered online so my sandwich was hot and ready when I arrived. I got the Zola Chicken Sandwich and it was so good. Would definitely go back.

On the Hill (OTH) was my 'go to' spot for many years (nearly a decade). I could always count on this spot to provide delicious treats/ meals, without fail. Once the pandemic hit, things changed drastically. They shut down for quite some time. Then reopened as a Latin 'to go' eatery. That didn't last long. They shut back down and stayed down for a while. Now OTH is back. The menu has been pared down quite a bit and some of my fave offerings are no longer available. That aside, I'm still loyal so I decided to try the... Everything Bagel & Lox: Toasted Everything Bagel, Cream Cheese, Tomato, Bermuda Onion, Cucumber. Capers. This preparation came chock full of delicious ingredients. The onion used was red onion and not Bermuda... but aside from that, the bagel was stacked nicely. I was excited to destroy this once I got to my destination. Once unwrapped and I took my 1st bite, I couldn't bite all the way thru the bagel. I thought it was a 'fluke' so I tried a different area. NOPE! The ENTIRE bagel was inedible. The inside was soft like dough and the crust (top/bottom) was hard as a rock. Not even crispy pretzel hard but ROCK HARD. Evidently, this bagel is stale and/freezer burned. I couldn't bite through. I tried scraping the toppings and it was incredibly messy. I ended up dropping pieces and just got frustrated. As u can see in the pics, the entire bagel is till there, petrified for the earth to never be able to breakdown. What a shame. What a waste. What a disappointment. And what makes matters worse, is I can't even contact them. They have no working phone. I don't understand how such a formerly well oiled machine has missed the mark on so many levels.

I found this restaurant on YELP. Ordered through YELP and got a refund through YELP or whatever ordering system they have. ONE STAR because not only is the restaurant CLOSED CLOSED, THEY STILL TOOK MY ORDER, TOOK MY MONEY, GAVE ME A PICKUP TIME AND NOBODY CONTACTED ME ABOUT ANYTHING. So of course when I pull up to the location I am confused to as why there's a closed sign on the door, the chairs are turned upside down on the tables and no one is inside. I call customer support and they refund my money, but of course it is going to take 3 to 7 business days to return. Someone had to except the order and start the process for me to get any of those notifications. They could've easily cancelled the order without me having to go through this process of waiting to get my money back when they knew they had been closed for a while now.

Thankfully, we didn't have a long wait at all (for 2 people). Selections: 1) Large lemonades - Generous size and nice flavor. My buddy had a flavored lemonade and mentioned it didn't have much of the other flavor. Otherwise, they were decent lemonades. 2) As a native NYer, I love a messy burger. These were not that. They were neatly layered and the condiments used, yielded minimal flavor. These burgers required some doctoring up. 2a) The Bean: Vegetarian chipotle black bean burger w/ cheese & bacon w/ blue cheese, pickles, red onions, caramelized onions, jalapeños, mayonnaise, BBQ sauce. One would think with everything listed here, this would be one juicy veggie burger PACKED w/ flavor. Nope. Not the case. It wasn't a bad burger but it needed a lil more attention. The patty itself was ... DRYYYY *cough cough*. Don't need another black bean burger here. 2b) The Chicken: Crispy (or grilled) w/ cheese, lettuce & tomato. The bestie enjoyed his sandwich. It was a decent size and he enjoyed the flavor profile so... SCORE!!! We also split an other of the Large Tater Tots. It was a generous sizing and did what they needed to do. Nothing bad. Nothing great. Just flavorless tater tots - crispy outside, pillow like inside. They weren't even dusted w/ salt but... I digress. Overall, I can say I've been. For the price paid, I can't say if I'd return. Maybe other locations season/ flavor their dishes a little more. I dunno...

I was recently feeling like a late night burger, typically when most burger spots are closing up. With their late hours and short drive, BB made sense. The place itself is simple and no-frills, just like the menu items. My dining friend had a burger and I opted for the crispy chicken sandwich with a large order of tots to share. The sandwiches were okay- not great not awful. Both required some doctoring up to elevate them lol. The tots, however, were the star of the show- crispy with good flavor. Summed up, you can't go wrong for a decent late night meal at a reasonable price.

I felt very dismissed, he expressed that the rock probably came from the potato, honestly I was understanding that things like this happen as I also work in service. It was the way he responded to me, as he said "ok and what do you want me to do about it" there was no apologies or I'm sorry this happened. I wasn't asking for him to comp my entire meal, but the least he could have done was apologize and or discount the meal or one beverage. I mainly addressed this issue to make them aware, and I honestly wouldn't have written this review if Dan the general manager was one, polite and two the least bit apologetic. Slutty Vegan Baltimore, It's Worth the Hype!!…read more Took a trip to the Black Owned Slutty Vegan Baltimore for my Big Sis's birthday, she's been dying to try it and finally got to see what all the buzz is about! The location is everything! Right in downtown Baltimore's up and coming Peninsula area, directly across from the Sagamore Rye Distillery. It's a fresh, developing spot that's definitely on the rise. The exterior is sleek and minimal, but once you step inside, boom!!! It's loud, lively, and unapologetically bold. Think vibrant colors, massive wall graphics, and a staff that greets you with energy and personality. They literally call you out as you walk in and it's hilarious and welcoming. Special shoutout to Zaneka (hope I'm spelling that right!) she was amazing. Patient, fun, and super helpful with all our first-timer questions. We were the first ones at the door when they opened, so we had the place to ourselves for a bit! We wanted to try EVERYTHING, but settled on: - The infamous One Night Stand - The Slutty Chicken Caesar Wrap - Both with Slutty Fries - And of course, the Oreo Cookie Milkshake to top it off Everything was flavorful and fun, definitely a unique twist on plant-based comfort food. My only drawback on my One Night Stand was that the Baltimore locations menu indicates that they add in chili on the burger which is not indicated on the online versions of the menu. I'm not a spicy food eater and I THINK that's what put the spice in this burger, I'll have it removed when I come back, but overall everything was pretty good. We ate in so our fries were hot and extra crispy. The milkshake was on point as well. I tried the pomegranate slutty ORGANIC lemonade on the go out and I have no regrets, very robust in flavor and really good. I am definitely a fan. Will be back to try other items on the menu. It seems every few years a new vegan casual chain is attempted and they all disappear because frankly they're just not good enough and this is no exception. The temporary item The big meat was okay but there was nowhere enough of the pulled "meat" it wasn't even as thick as one side of the bun, never mind both. The quality of food for $20 per item is frankly outrageous. I want vegan restaurants to succeed but this isn't going to be the way to do it and there is 0 chance we'll be returning.
