I really think the food here is just terrible... i was there may 28th 2022 I ordered a hamburger and it was like biting into a salt shaker... the staff was very nice except the OLD LADY with the round glasses was a RUDE B-t-ch.. don't plan on ever going back May 23... I went back to the bistro for another awful meal... We celebrated our anniversary tonight at One Bistro. Where to Start? I checked in to a local dining group as I had only been for brunch and that was a few years ago and ended up connecting with Chef Paul Acosta. Upon arrival, we were immediately escorted through a full house to the Chef's Table, where our server Nina made us comfortable. Chef Paul Acosta came out to welcome us. Talk about feeling like royalty. We ordered a salad and the calamari appetizer. The salad was fantastic and served with a proper amount of dressing. The calamari had a sweet chili taste that was accented by the remoulade sauce that accompanied it. Main course for my wife was the chicken thighs with whipped potatoes and baby carrots, which she loved. I opted for the short ribs, with root vegetables and gnocchi. Talk about delicious. I have made and tasted gnocchi in the USA and Italy and nothing compares to these. Perfect texture and firmness while being light as can be. (Not an easy thing to achieve) Both dinners were served by our new friend Jemo, who was as gracious a host as I have ever seen. The e evening was topped of with the special and incredible dessert in the picture, personally delivered by Chef Acosta. Everything was picture perfect from the greetings at the door to the atmosphere along with the exceptional food and beverages. I also can't say enough good things about the service. I am not used to being treated like a king, however I feel this team of fantastic people treat everyone as royalty and we were happy to be a part of the magic. Made a reservation here for Mother's Day and specifically noted we would need a high chair on the reservation. When we arrived the hostess said they had put our reservation at a high top so couldn't accommodate a high chair and didn't offer any alternative to switch so we were forced to cancel. Ordered a chicken parm and they put no sauce on the chicken cutlets. When I asked the waitress she said they ran out of sauce and the chef got lazy and just gave it to me without sauce? I am not a particular fan of hotel restaurants, but I have to give the Devil his due. One Bistro lived up to its billing. A little pricey but - but everything was well executed. From the classic vodka martini with big-ass stuffed blue cheese olives, to a caesar salad loaded with anchovies (as requested) , warm delicious bread, and the coup de gras- a 14oz bone in veal chop stuffed with pear and Gorgonzola with crispy Prosciutto and sage and pumpkin purée - this meal rocked. Restaurant was informed the day before. When my family arrived they said they didn't get message one person would be missing & charged for me anyway. The cocktails were fantastically delicious!!!(we had the espresso martinis and the piquant margarita-perfection!! I ordered the salmon entree and forgot to request medium rare(it was cooked perfectly-unlike many other establishments that cook their fish to death so often) and the seafood chowder had a lovely flavor left on a Sunday night at 6:09 and the restaraunt was almost full!!! Came here during the first month of outdoor dine-in opening back up due to COVID, so take this review with that in mind, as I know it's impacted some restaurants quality and services. But overall, I found One Bistro to be over-priced for what it offered, which was decent American cuisine. We had the Seared Shrimp Scampi and the Beef Medallions. Good portion size for pasta, but the beef was less than desired. The outdoor dining area was really nice though, and we enjoyed finally eating out after months of not doing so. Our waitress was very accommodating and made us feel safe during our dining experience. Overall, I don't think we will return because the food didn't blow us away for the price point, but it was a nice enough place. read more

I've been here many times before with good experiences. Today was not so good. The creative manner of the food reduces the taste. Not sure anyone in our party enjoyed the brunch. I had omelette and haven't experienced a egg cooked then stuffed with shredded ham. Kind of like crepe. Potato side was awful as it was cooked with some very weird sauce. I am foodie and couldn't determine what it was. Nobody in party ate them. It was disappointing for first time. Actually feel bad for staff. Real nice place but food preparation below average. Went for brunch with my (picky) aunt on a Sunday. Immediately we were impressed with the interior design - much nicer than you'd expect in a hotel restaurant. Auntie got french toast and almost licked the plate, seriously. I had eggs Benny, which is my go-to, and it was really good! Hollandaise had a good consistency and was flavored well. I shared this review on OpenTable and thought it is only right to share it on here as well. One Bistro is really a gem. We have lived in Norwood for about five years now and had only been to One Bistro once for brunch. It was good, but seemed a little pricey. We definitely had a negative impression about the restaurant from afar - Who expects a great meal at a restaurant attached to a hotel? We decided to give One Bistro a chance after we saw the team compete and win at Guy's Grocery Games on Food Network, and WE WERE BLOWN AWAY BY THE FOOD. The food was amazing, all of it. Drinks were great too and the atmosphere definitely transports you away from a "hotel restaurant" on a highway. We will definitely be back - my steak was cooked to perfection and the potatoes and crab crake were so good. My wife had the steak frites and her steak was also spot on. The French fries were so addictively good (she could not finish them and I definitely ate too many). Dessert was awesome - the gelato had really good flavors especially the cinnamon and the chocolate had such a rich dark chocolate flavor. It was really, really worth it. We have to make an apology to everyone at One Bistro. Sorry for judging you as a hotel restaurant. We were very wrong and look forward to eating there again soon! read more

We just had a catered affair in their private dining area that One Bistro catered. Absolutely delicious, plenty of food for people to have seconds or third helpings. With 26 people eating, not one complaint re, 2 salads, entrees (salmon, primevara, and beef tips), seasoned and sautéed small potatoes, mixed fresh steamed and seasoned vegetables, rolls that melted in your mouth as well as a fresh fruit tray, and two pies (tiramisu and cheesecake). The server, John was fantastic (always filling our water glasses, removing dirty plates and making sure everyone had what they needed). The catering manager was phenomenal, in making sure everything was in order and arranged the way we discussed. Prices were excellent as I would have had to pay a great deal more for what we had. The food and service are both pretty good here. We all had red meat, the menu has your standard American dishes. The steaks were all pretty good and not overpriced which was nice. Enjoyed dinner at One Bistro in Norwood Friday night. I am not normally a fan of hotel restaurants, but One Bistro was an impressive spot within the Four Points by Sheraton hotel. The restaurant was not overly crowded, but the bar was lively with most seats occupied when we arrived. Upon being seated in a comfortable booth, we decided against appetizers only due to the food coma coming out of Christmas, but did order entrees off their daily menu. I had the swordfish which was advertised as a chef's specialty. The portion size was perfect and the fish expertly grilled and flaky served on a roasted pumpkin puree that surprisingly complimented the dish without overpowering it. The parmesan encrusted chicken was nicely presented and accompanied by parmesan and herb risotto and roasted baby vegetables in season which were served al dente. Both dishes satisfied our appetites and didn't leave room for dessert on this night. Our waitress was professional, knowledgeable of the menu and wine list, and courteous which added to our pleasant night out. We will certainly be back soon. read more
