We just moved to Yonkers and love this place. The food, service and ambience were great. My husband had the rigatoni Bolognese and I had the poached pear and arugula salad and the charred octopus appetizer. My octopus was fantastic. We ended the dinner with the espresso chip ice cream and the bread pudding, which was also delicious. We highly recommend this place-the servers and the staff were super friendly and attentive. We are definitely going back.

Great and fast service. Food came out quick and made well. Very quiet and intimate. I'm happy that I stopped by!

I really enjoyed my time here! My boyfriend's schedule fluctuates so finding a restaurant last minute during this weekend was difficult (Easter weekend). I literally made a dinner reservation for 9 p.m. at 8:37 p.m. I enjoy quiet locations when eating out and this place was perfect. All the booths were occupied and I didn't want to sit at a table so we decided to sit and order at the bar. The bartender was amazing. We ordered the Agent 47(sweet), Lychee martini (a bit strong if you're looking for that), and Naughty Girl. The octopus appetizer was cooked perfectly. This was the first time I've enjoyed octopus that wasn't overcooked. My boyfriend stated his steak was buttery, delicious, and cooked perfectly to medium rare. The mashed potatoes were smooth and he enjoyed the garlic flavor he tasted on the broccoli. The skin on the Branzino was grilled perfectly and so crisp. A few garlic cloves, a slice of lemon, and thyme were placed on the inside of the fish and it also added to the flavor. The mashed sweet potatoes were smooth and perfectly whipped. It's been a while since I've been served food that was actually hot and not lukewarm at a restaurant so that's also a plus. The bread pudding was warm, not too sweet and the came with just the right amount of vanilla ice cream. Overall it was a fantastic experience for our first time here and we'll definitely be back!

My favorite restaurant in Yonkers. Beautiful and classy, great bar right on the waterfront.

We have come to one pier several times and absolutely love the food and service. However, we've struggled with parking several times when going here. On Saturday, we were got blocked in by another car, and could not leave after dinner. Jimmy from One Pier kept checking on us and asking around to find the car that blocked us in. After another car left, Jimmy helped pull our car out of a tight spot so we could go home. After feeling very frustrated and waiting for 40 minutes for someone to move their car, Jimmy saved us with his amazing driving skills. We are very grateful for his help and thanks to him we will be back, despite the horrible parking situation at One Pier.

We ordered the porterhouse, creamed spinach, calamari, baked clams, the jumbo baked potato, and some pasta. The porterhouse was perfectly seasoned, and it was enough for three people to share. Whatever sauce the baked clams were doused in, I need that recipe. I used the complementary bread to soak up some of that juice and it was amazing. Their espresso martinis were also really good and strong. The only thing I did not like was the jumbo baked potato. It just felt like there was Velveeta cheese slathered on top, so if there's an item I would pass on, it would be this one. Just get regular mashed potatoes. The service was amazing. The owner came out to meet with us multiple times. Our waiters were very attentive and gave us ample time to order. They literally cut our meat and served it for us. The ambience was really nice. It's your usual steakhouse joint, with dim lighting. However, the best part about this dinner was that they seated us in a private room with one other party. It was very intimate and nice and I don't think I could've asked for better service. The cherry on top was that they came out with limoncello shots to end the night. If you're in the Westchester area, please definitely come check this place out. It is worth the money, time, and effort. You will not be disappointed.

LongHorn asked for a 20% tip while placing the online order and again in person despite us not eating in...the point of a tip is service...so this is exploitation of the customer when prices are already this high. It led to a sad series of coping events. First they reach for the salt, all the while trying to engage the group. Then the steak sauce becomes something to try. But there is no savior in that situation. The waiter was nice, and made sure to get an extra to go box for that food. I have learned at longhorn, order the medium rare, even if you like medium. Likely, it will come a little more cooked than you asked. Brussels are great there. No one said anything bad, but it was noted by a member of the group that the tip and not the total were circled on the bill. I like longhorn but sometimes a steakhouse is just a house with steak in it.

They're obviously famous for their steaks, but for the first time ever, we actually skipped the red meat because we were just craving other things--and honestly, the kitchen killed it. The Atmosphere & Energy1 We got there for an early dinner around 5:30 PM. It wasn't super crowded yet, but it still had a great energy with plenty of people there for happy hour. By the time we left, though, the place was totally filled up with couples and families, and the bar downstairs was absolutely packed. We love a good, lively ambiance, and that buzz in the room made the whole night feel like an event. The Views- We were sitting on the top floor, and even on a gray, misty Friday at dusk, the views of Van Cortlandt were so nice. There's something really relaxing about just watching the world pass by outside while you're tucked away with a good meal and a great crowd. The Food- The Swordfish was perfect--super fresh, meaty, and seasoned just right. It's a solid move if you want something heavy-hitting but not as intense as a ribeye. The Mac & Cheese is total comfort food (rich, creamy, with that golden crust), and the loaded baked potato was huge and hit the spot. Also, don't skip the bread basket--they serve it warmed up with soft butter, which is such a nice touch. The Service- The hospitality really made the night. We had great service tonight; the staff was on point and made our return visit feel special. Service was exceptional, and they made sure everything was smooth from start to finish. Such a great Friday night spot!

When I arrived the entire lower level was empty. Not only did they make no gesture to accommodate them in any other way, this is an EXTREME ADA violation, and could have very well been a lawsuit. The manager, Jimmy, sat and watched as both my grandmother and great uncle struggled to take the stairs, no hand of assistance. When I approached him, I was told 'what's the big deal, so you had to take some stairs'. I told him my uncle fell last year and was hospitalized for 6 months, if you see someone in a walker, why would you do this? His response 'I don't know what you want me to do, buy you a drink?'. Not only was their overall service awful and food barely edible, this is one of the most unaccommodating, disrespectful, and genuinely unsafe establishments I've ever been to.

The service and food, on the other hand, were quite a mixed bag. We ordered a margherita pizza, pancake tacos, steak and eggs, and French toast with a side of sausage--the pizza, at least, was good. However, the "French toast" was more like an anemic panini press trying to pass as French toast. The steak and eggs comprised of a fairly well-cooked (that is, it was the right temperature) yet underseasoned steak of a relatively dubious cut, underseasoned home fries, and eggs done wrong (sunny side instead of over easy). The lattermost was the start of the problem, as I was willing to give it a shot, but found the texture off-putting. In light of this, I brought the problem to our server Adalia, who brought it to her manager Elvia. Thankfully I had someone else with me to tell me what happened: Elvia came over without addressing me on their error, silently took a look at my plate and instructed Adalia to have the kitchen put the eggs back on the fire. She takes my plate to extract the eggs, and brings them back (unsurprisingly) completely overdone, first in Elvia's hands, then in Adalia's for her to serve; we send for a refire, and they come back correct 7 minutes or so after I've already finished eating. Considering the hassle it took to get them, I couldn't trust it enough to eat, leading them to waste as well. After all was said and done, the GM Amer comes over to see how things were, and was thankfully helpful and understanding of our situation. Here's the rub: I was initially willing to overlook the steak, the home fries, and even the eggs if the error was properly ameliorated. Adalia and Amer both did very well, and I'm grateful for them for that; Elvia, on the other hand, managed to break the chain of competent customer service by directing the server to handle the problem in a way that was set up for failure (if you mess up an egg, it's an immediate refire because of how the egg cooks in the first place -- Amer also arrested to that policy) all without addressing us and taking accountability, due to negligence or whatever else. Not only that, but when sending the incorrect eggs over the second time, she couldn't even bring it to us herself--it would have been easy, seeing as she was the one that originally had them--and left Adalia and her tip to potentially take the fire if the patrons happen to be angry. Mistakes are fine--everyone makes them--but I'd describe this as cowardly more than anything else, and I take issue with that in particular from a leadership standpoint. While Amer graciously extended an invitation for a better experience next time, I can't say I'll be taking him up on the offer when their service and food are this misaligned; unfortunately, a disappointment overall.

However, I'm happy to report that I dined here recently and had a better experience. Since the time of my initial review, La Casa remained in my periphery - mainly because my parents periodically visited and it was a frequent stop of one of my friends who lives in Bronxville. That being said, I was curious to check out La Casa again - and that opportunity came when my mother chose here to celebrate Mother's Day. La Casa is located just off the main commercial strips. The interior is pretty spacious with a bar towards the front of the restaurant and the main dining room split in two sections. The decor is somewhat under-toned with a cool color scheme and tasteful decor. This is in contrast with other Mexican restaurants that tend to go overboard with the kistch and warm colors. I will say the seats look a little tired, they could use some re-upholstering - and were a little lower to the ground than I expected. In addition to the indoor space, they have an outdoor section which was done up very nicely. The brunch menu contained a selection of apps, sides, quesadillas, tacos, and sides. We decided to start by splitting a few apps: brisket and al pastor tacos, a quesadilla, street corn, chips and guac, and more guac with tuna. All the apps were tasty - the biggest standouts for me were the quesadilla and the tacos which were all generously filled and had good flavor. For my main, I got the camarones a la diabla which were shrimp in a red pepper sauce placed atop beans and paired with bok choy. The dish was pretty good - the shrimp could have been a bit snappier, but I appreciate that they de-shelled them and the sauce and beans worked well with them. Dare I say the bok choy was the star of the dish? It had just enough flavor and added a needed green. We opted for dessert, and I got the grilled pineapple which was paired with (per the menu) vanilla ice cream or guanabana sorbet. I wasn't asked to choose, and was served the sorbet. I would have liked to have been given the option, but maybe that's all they had - fwiw the sorbet was good. The pineapple was candied and came as a large, thick ring - definitely needed a knife and fork to cut it up (which they provided); this was a good dish in concept but I think it can be executed better. Service was good, everyone was friendly and efficient. In my experience, service tends to be the weakest component of a meal on a holiday, but they did a great job. Overall, I had a good experience at La Casa. Even though it's not in my backyard, I would definitely return if the opportunity presented itself.
