At first, I thought they were honest and knowledgeable mechanics, but after having come here several times with a couple of different cars, I'm looking for a new mechanic. There seems to be a trend of misdiagnosis of the real problem, followed by go backs and more money to fix the actual issue. Example 1. Brought in an old Crown Vic with high fuel trims at idle, most likely a vacuum leak. They changed out the MAF sensor and said, "see if that fixes it". $345 dollars. Fast forward 1 month and the fuel trims are still high and setting codes. This time they find the vacuum leak in the intake manifold, a known issue with earlier crown Vic's. $750 dollars. The MAF had nothing to do with it. Example 2. 05 F150 with a code for the fuel rail pressure sensor which is located behind the intake manifold on the fuel rail. I show him the code and he says, "fuel TANK pressure sensor, we need to replace the evap lines and canister." I asked why since the code was for the fuel RAIL pressure sensor. He says "no no no... tank pressure problem". He said he had an F150 in last year with the same problem and it was the tank pressure system. He seemed confident and I'm not a mechanic so.. I paid $750 to have the work done. I get the car back and not only do I get the same check engine code, but now there's a "Check Fuelcap" message that appears where the odometer reading should be. I take it back and he replaces the FRPS, which is EXACTLY what I thought the code was for in the first place. This is an extra $375. That fixed the engine code, but I still have the "check fuelcap" warning which they couldn't fix after 3 times taking it back. He literally told me to take my truck to the dealership to get the fuelcap warning fixed. WTH??!! Now I'm not sure if my truck will even pass smog since it has this warning on the dash. Not only that, but between the two examples, I spent about $1100 more than the cost of actual needed repairs. I would have been better off going somewhere that charges for a proper diagnostic as part of their work. I think I see Ray-A-Motive in my near future. read more

They tried to rip me off. My oil plug for the drain was stuck. Came here to see if they could take it off. They stripped it more and told me they couldn't do anything. They gave me the option to replace the whole oil pan housing for about 300$ dollars. Took it to the dealership and they had no problem replacing my oil plug . Run a business around the area and thought I'd support a local small shop by doing an oil change here instead of big chain place. Pulled up and there was only one car in the bay being serviced, I sat in my car for a few minutes thinking someone might come out, about 5 minutes passed and another car pulled up beside me so I decided to get out of my car so I didn't lose my spot in line since I was there first. Stood around for a few minutes and no sign of anyone except the guy changing oil underneath, he saw me but didn't say a word, about 1 minute later another guy walks by and gives me a wave of "hold on", cool I get back in my car and wait. 3 minutes pass and the guy who pulled beside me decided to leave, I'm committed about 10 minutes into waiting already but I'm patient. The guy finishes the oil change, comes up from the bottom and gets in the car and drives it out of the bay, cool I'm thinking I'm next, thought wrong. He parks the car, hops in another car and pulls it into the bay, gets out of the car and doesn't say a word to me and continues to go change the oil underneath. What the fuck is going on? Am I invisible? So I get out of my car and say excuse me is anyone available to help me, guy says uhh yeah give me a few minutes I'm working on this car. Well no shit I can see that, I decided to leave as I figured if you aren't competent in at least asking me what I need or giving me an eta of wait time, I don't want you anywhere near my car. I'm sure these guys are good and perhaps I just came on a bad day, who knows all I know is this isn't how you run a business, 2 cars were waiting and you lost both business transactions because you didn't take 1 minute of your time to greet the customer. read more

Took my Acura RDX in because my car was jerking at a high speed transmission was slipping. There wasn't no engine light on so my initial thought was to get diagnosed to find out the problem. Met Johnny & explained to him what was going on he took it out on a test drive found out the problem and FULLY cleaned my transmission oil and replaced it with the cars OEM transmission oil. Now my car is running like if it was BRAND NEW. Johnny is very knowledgeable on his expertise he was very busy but managed to still help me out which I appreciate will be definitely coming back. read more

went for oil change and got told my radiator had cracked, that my brakes were bad, that my tires were due for a change in which only the fronts were bad and I already knew that but they were trying to change all 4 when the backs were great! they checked my air filter in which I was informed I can clean it myself when in there report said it was checked but I guess they don't clean them!....paid for my oil change and took off to see a real mechanic in which come to find out there was no crack in the radiator, the mechanic I took it to did a pressure test on the radiator and he then realized that just the cap has broke...moral of the story is people are crooks tried to take me for 1500 dollars for a 38 dollar fix!...always double check or better yet don't go to this place cuz I was about to get done dirty read more

A trust worthy mechanic is always hard to fine. I think I stumbled across this place because of my parents recommendations. I had a really bad experience at jiffy lube and was looking for a new place for an oil change. Since then I have been back on numerous occasions for oil changes, brakes, transmission flush, shocks, tune ups and other mechanical issues. I like how they give your car a simple report card. They point out things that need attention and always let you know if it's an immediate concern or if it the repair can wait. My little scion always gets treated well here. I love the little extras that they do without charging. I received a free tire rotation and one time they fixed my plastic under carriage thingy that I tried to rip off while driving like an idiot :-)...hey it happens. Just got an oil change this morning; my decision to come here was based off of the reviews. The old shop I would go to got bought out by new owners, and prices for everything spiked up. I was looking for somewhere closer to home where I could take my car in. Right as I was pulling in, someone walked over to me to see what service(s) I needed done. I told them I was just there for an oil change, and they told me to pull up into the designated lane. There was another car in front of me, and in total I only waited about 30 minutes for my car to be ready. While I was waiting to hand the mechanic my keys, I had another two workers greet me "good morning" and also ask if I was already being attended. I really appreciated this and felt more comfortable (as someone who knows nothing about cars). At the end of my service, I got this little "report card" that showed the other parts of my car that were checked in addition to the oil change. Very satisfied, definitely coming back again PS. I have a 2011 Ford Fiesta, and require synthetic oil. Total for my visit was $58.96, which I don't think is too shabby read more

Took the car in hoping Lim would see the car and give us an estimate, he never saw the car and had to tow the car out... First he said "Give me two hours", then two became four, and four became nine hours... Lim shied away from taking a look at the car even though there were no cars on the rack. When I arrived to pick up the keys, the car's window was left open in the parking lot with Lim nowhere to be found! He eventually came running from the adjacent shop and did not apologize for wasting my time thinking he will diagnose the car. Waste of my time, lied about his availability and money out of our pocket to tow the car into another shop. read more

Called today to get an estimate on a compressor and the person that answered interrupted me mid sentence as I was giving him car info and yelled that he could not give estimate over the phone and he hung up the phone abruptly without asking if I wanted to make an appointment or giving me the common courtesy to finishing my thought. Last time I came because I had an electrical problem and after a quick check, they told that they could fix it, but my car was under warranty, so the dealer should fix for free. No charge. Originally I felt the rating for this place should be three stars because its a small and simple shop. Taking a step back, I thought, simplicity is something you rarely get these days because of all the technological advances. With those advances come higher prices, and I don't think I speak for myself when I say I rather pay less, as long as its a good quality job done on my vehicle. So maybe it being a simple one stop auto service is not all that bad. I have been going to this shop for oil changes and smog checks probably since 2007, and I'm glad to inform that they're prices have stayed consistent since then. I paid $26 for an oil change on my 2007 Toyota corolla, which is the exact same price I paid the first time I went many moons ago. You know in this day and age, it's a miracle to see prices stay the same at any establishment. I would preferably like to enjoy an iced latte while I wait on my car to be serviced, but then I would probably be paying more just to be at some top notch dealer facility while I wait even longer for my car to be ready. I started coming here several months ago based on a co-worker's recommendation. He used to bring his 4Runner here and said I should bring mine. Of course when I pulled up for the first time I saw two 4Runners in the garage so I immediately felt like Stash was in good hands. There were different cars there too but I think seeing the mechanics working on these kinda SUV/trucks bring about a little Toyo pride... The rear axel and breaks needed repair so I got a quote from my local big name mechanic and when I went to One Stop Auto Service, I received a much LOWER price and not to mention Johnny and his crew were fast and super friendly. Johnny recommended that I even wait a longer to repair my front breaks - he said I had more time (and gave an approximate timeframe of when I should repair) and he was right! I drive A LOT and come here for all major work but the simple things count most, which include the oil changes too. The guys are on point with how long they're going to take so I know when to come back from Denny's across the street :-) Overall, this place run by Johnny is honest, fair, and has great prices. I never hesitate to bring in my 4Runner when it has a cold or needs some TLC, these guys are awesome! read more

I USED to love this place before they messed my car up . I had a regular oil change and was told i needed a new serpentine belt. I went back the next week to replace . i was calked to pick up my car and by the time i got home (15 minutes away ) the belt shredded. I called and was told to bring car back . I towed the car back to shop and left over night . the next day after i picked up my car i had a huge oil leak . when i called shop he didn't want to talk to me and said just go to kia . My Acura rsx 2006 would not start.. Going in the reviews I decided to take it there. This is a mom and pop shop that is only after your money....the guy I talked to didn't even speak english and he went ahead and he proposed to change the battery and the teminal, I knew the batt was ok according to Autozone, he left thecar overnight to see if it would work. I was charged a new batt and the terminal $156. A week later, the car is doing the same thing. I called the "owner" a chiness guy that can't even speak english that after a few min got frustraded and decided to hung up on me. Great service from the so call "owner". read more

For a few years I've brought my cars and both my daughters cars here to be serviced. Never again. I arrived at 4:30 and asked them to do an oil and oil filter change only because I don't have the tool to do it at home. To remove the oil filter housing you need a 36mm socket on a swivel head breaker bar the mechanic did not wanna listen and had difficulty losing it this is after he drained oil pan. He than talked to owner or manager and he was cool at 1st and when they just couldn't loosen it their way he told them not to take it off and just add the oil. I asked how much it would be just for oil and this guy said $65! I was like bs not even when you've done all my other cars have you charged me that much. We argued and he said some more bs at that point it he directed the mechanic to give me some used motor oil to get me out. What an idiot I basically drove out with no motor oil around the corner and had my daughter give a ride to buy 2qt so I can drive my car. These MFer's lost a great customer and I hope more people turn their back on these unprofessional side hustlers! read more

I agree a trust worthy mechanic. I've had two vehicles that needed a transmission replacement there. Owner/Mechanic showed me other customers with the same auto maker with same repairs needed all at around the same mileage to assure me that this is a common problem. I have a Honda Odyssey and a Chevy Tahoe, the Tahoe needed a new transmission and had electrical problems that was having problems due to an attempted break in and they fixed that for free as well. This repair shop is no longer close to my home but I still have my vehicles towed there for repairs. read more
