Terrific shop. We had a flat on a trailer with a 2.5 hour drive ahead of us. We pulled in, they tried to fix it but the tire was un repairable. We had to wait while they finished up the car they were working on but Raj brought us a couple of bottles of cold water and assured us it would only be a few more minutes. It was maybe 5 minutes and we were on our way. Really great service. I highly recommend this shop. Great group of guys. read more

These guys are awesome! They changed out a timing belt, new front and rear struts, plus full 105,000 mile inspection for my 2011 Subaru WRX and saved me over $1,500 compared to dealer quote!! An absolute amazing service!!!! Came here for the first time since I was referred by the friends over at work. Had no appointment but did call in to see if I could bring my car in for an oil change and smog check. The guy on the phone said to bring it by and no appointment was necessary. Took the car in and got an oil change and smog check done within 45 mins. They also sent the record to the dmv and reset my maintenance light. Also they advised that the shop performs full car maintenance and tires as well. Will definitely enjoy coming back. I really liked the way they treated there customers while I was waiting I saw 5 customer walk in and get the same service I got as a first time customer. Very fast, friendly and professional service. I feel like I get honesty here, and fair prices. I recently took my car in for a smog and synthetic oil change. It only took 40 minutes and all of it was for $109. This has become my regular spot. I initially went to my dealership for oil changes but the cost for an oil change was $114 and I was always there for at least two hours. I then went to Jiffy Lube on Northgate and was happy with them until they hired a women who was always trying to up sell EVERYTHING. It was annoying and even worse, they made little mistakes like forgetting to top of my fluids etc. so, that is how I ended up at One Stop Smog. Very happy customer. read more

I had thought these guys were great, until I had them change my oil. Seventy miles after the oil change my power steering pump seized, belt stopped running the alternator, battery ran down, had to be towed. I had no idea at the time that this problem was connected to the oil change. Over $1,000. Drove the car to Colorado, started to get a worn-disc-brake-pad warning light, on brakes with only 12,000 miles. Had them checked, pads were fine, still getting the light. On further checking, brake fluid in the master cylinder had a greenish color. Had the brake system flushed twice, no more light. Verdict? When they were changing the oil and topping off fluids they mixed up the brake fluid and power steering fluid. That explains the green brake fluid and the destroyed power steering pump. What would they do about it? Nothing. Once diagnosed, which was two weeks after the oil change, they wanted to see the PS pump (it is a core item, the shop that replaced it had to send it back), get samples of the fluid to have tested (are you kidding me?) and insisted that I would have had to have brought the car back to them in any event--even though their role in this wasn't known at the time. So, including the cost of the oil change, PS pump replacement, and brake system flushing, MY OIL CHANGE COST ME $1300!! Stay away from this place. UPDATE: Thanks to the California auto repair office, this shop has agreed to reimburse me for half the cost of my adventure. It's a fair settlement. I appreciate their gesture. read more

The only reason I give it four stars is because we have only been here four times. My son goes here too for maintenance on his Nissan. He loves their no nonsense approach too. We go mostly for maintenance - and recently -sadly- bought a lemon of a used car from a used car dealer. Raj told us to sell asap (can only get half of what we bought it for... we may just have to put some costly work into it---we cannot in good conscience pass on a lemon (and yes. I will be giving a review about that used car lot too). My husband and I love Raj Preet - the manager of One Stop. He is so honest that even when the honesty is a punch in the gut to us - we find it refreshing. We usually go to a back yard mechanic that we adore but he is too ill now to work on our cars. We have been to several mechanics because of this - most have gouged us in the wallet and at times created new issues. We buy only used cars - sadly we now have the lemon because we had to trust the guy. We had no time to get it checked before purchase because of our circumstances. Three days after purchase Raj told us that we were suckered and the car was rigged up to look good and run well for test drive - very likely will be in a junk yard soon. Probably Head gasket broke was sealed - no coolant in radiator... for sure motor mount broke, sludge all through out engine water in oil...etc...and next time he would inspect a car for free for us because he felt so bad about us being taken so badly. We have purchased parts online and had them do only the labor - sometimes that is cheaper. Make sure you get the record of maintenance receipt - they don't give it unless you request it - at least with us they haven't. I find that odd. But other than that - these guys are so experienced and they will back their work every time. We actually trust them. That says a lot - given the reputation and tactics of many mechanics - they can be as conning as used car salesmen. Raj runs an honest professional trustworthy establishment. They are strict on smog because it is the law. They take pride in their work and it seems unwilling to put their name on something that is rigged or compromised. How can you not like that! WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. read more

I've been coming to One Stop for a few years fort smog checks and have always been happy with the service. Raj seems to be the manager of the place and is very personable and professional. I recently went for an overall service and diagnostic test for my air conditioning unit. I ended up needing a repair of the AC and they handled it well. Unfortunately, I continued to have trouble afterwards with the AC not working. Raj was great about running more tests and brainstorming about what the issue could be. He was very knowledgable about my Nissan and what the potential problem could be. He offered to give me a ride to/from the shop if I had trouble dropping the car off for further checks. Ultimately, the problem ended up being EXACTLY what he originally thought and he fixed it again for virtually nothing other than cost of the part. AND he followed up a few days afterwards to make sure all was well. I highly recommend this shop, especially if Raj is in charge! read more

Walked in without an appointment for an oil change. Told it would be an hour at most, but out in 35 minutes. Reasonable priced and friendly. I actually like the couch, fish tank, and magazines. They seem like nice people. I am giving 5 stars for the quick service, primarily, as I have never been there before. But, I plan to return. Woooow! I was impressed. Love this place i came here this morning for my first time after i googled a smog place near my home. Saw that this place had nothing but 5 stars so i decided to go. I was literally in there for 10 to 15 min for a smog but it was around 11 and it wasnt busy. The lady up front was so nice and as soon as i came in the mechanic came right up to me and asked for my car keys. He was ready to do his job. Nice atmosphere. Decent on prices, got my car smogged and we were on our way in approximately 25 mins. Staff definitely seemed friendly and knowledgable. We were not required to have an appointment, which was great. There was only one issue: just a warning - the small dog that wanders around in the lobby /front desk area isn't very friendly, especially to customers who show up with young children. read more

I've been meaning to leave a review for a while. I originally called to see if they could get my car in for a smog. I had to get it done that day, and they had no problem getting me in. I also needed tires for my SUV, so I inquired about the cost. I had already checked with Les Schwab (where I had purchased my tires previously). Bottom line - they were able to smog my car and get the tires I wanted for my car put on the same day. And I saved over $300 compared to Les Schwab. And, they were very friendly and professional. * This is my first EVER review written. I wrote it because I want people to know there is great service out there! This was my third time dealing with One Stop Smog & Auto Repair, they were very quick, I did not have to schedule an appointment, convenient hours from 7am-7pm, lowest price in town, saved me at least $700, warned me about some of my car's potential issues but didn't push on fixing it themselves. They are pretty new in Natomas, so I want everyone to know that I finally found an auto repair shop that I can trust. Will be taking my other car today to them for a service. Thanks guys! These guys do good work and are probably the most honest people I have ever met. Lifters in my wife's van were making noise. One shop told me they could fix the issue for about $1800. Second opinion from One Stop said he could fix it cheaply for about the same about but to do it right you would need to rebuild\replace the engine for about $3600. He said the age of the van does not justify the expense. Gave me tips on maintaining it and reducing noise. Still runs just sounds horrible. That was 2 years ago. They will not gouge or do unnecessary work. I have met people in the waiting room who have brought their cars from 2 hours away to have this shop work on their vehicles. read more

I am 45 yrs old with 3 children over 18, so I have seen my share of automotive repairs shops, and then some. I have always cringed at the thought of going. Main reason is when a women walks in, they see the word SUCKER on our faces. I drove by this establishment one day and seen that they smogged, and did engine diagnosis, whch I was in need of, so I Yelped them and read thier great reviews, thought I would give it a shot. To my surprise from the moment I wolked in the doors, I was treated as if I was a long time customer. They were very kind and professional the whole time. After they diagnosed my car, they explained what they problem was, and I had already done research on the code it wa throwing, so I actually knew what was wrong, but was curious to see what they would try to sell me.... They told me exactly what was the issue, and nothing more. My EGR valve was bad, and nnede replacing. They did it in record time, and the cost was affordable, and less then I projected. After driving my car for about an hour my light came back on. I called them back I told them, they bring it back in. Now all I can think is more $$, they said that they will have to remove my intake manafold and clean out the chambers. Now I don't know squat about an engine, but do know that this is going to be quite a bit of labor. I asked before they did tis if I could get an estimate. They told me there would be NO CHARGE. What??? A repair shop that's not trying to suck the funds out of me? How can that be? I have to say this is an honest shop, the owners are amazing, the service is excellent, and they have the cutest little dog in the waiting room. If I could give 100 stars I would. I went to that shop August 28, 2014 to get and oil and filter change, first when I walk in the service rep is yelling at the customer about his car and what he's not about to do for smog, as I wait to pick up my car (granted I dropped it off 7:00a) another rep comes up and tells me I have an oil leak, I informed him that it was not an oil leak but my power steering fluid that is leaking, they argued with me saying that its the same thing as I told them it was not, oil is oil, power steering fluid is fluid and then I became upset because they tried to tell me about my car and told them that I just put a new engine in my car, a whole new oil pumping system and new everything else, except the powering steering which I plan on getting fix next, but I inform them that if they did something to my car I will bring their shop down to an end, the guy at the front Prajeet was rude and I would NOT recommend anyone to go their for a simple oil and filter change and NEVER will I return, stick with Jiffy lube, better service no scandalous views and no arguments. I give their service 2 thumbs down and if my car breaks down for any reason....I'm all over them read more
