This was our first time coming here in several years since we had moved back to the area, they do a really good job with social distancing and keeping the space safe during the pandemic. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the main reason for my three star review is simply the food and beverage options. Out of all the beers they have on tap, Only a few of them seemed appealing to me. It seems like they're trying to appeal to a crowd that likes really obscure things, peanut butter flavored beers and coffee, etc, Not as good as other craft brewers in the area, and quite pricy. The food was definitely a let down, The wings My husband ordered were not remotely crispy and kind of slimy like they weren't fresh, And my pizza was just very bland and mediocre. We haven't been on a date night in a while and we both felt pretty disappointed. Food was amazing. Service was perfect. All nice people and we're very welcoming for being my first time there. The ambiance was amazing. My daughter and her boyfriend took us to one of their favorite places while we were visiting, 3/26-3/28, and this place was FANTASTIC! I loved the atmosphere which was laid back and family friendly. The food was yummy and my husband said the IPA's were great. My daughter and her boyfriend say that after almost a year in Kalamazoo, One Well is their favorite brewery. One Well is SO FUN! I am so jealous this place didn't exist when I lived in Kalamazoo decades ago. This is an excellent spot in a much less busier area than downtown. The menu is fantastic and the beer is pretty good too. Good Kzoo brewpub best suited for groups as opposed to individuals. The seating is mostly long picnic tables like you would find in a German beer hall, but there is some limited bar seating. It's a perfect spot to bring kids because the place is loud, there are games, and there is a kid area. Where was this place when my kids were small? The beer is decent (definitely IPA heavy) and the food is surprisingly good. In my two trips I've had the bratwurst and a pulled pork grilled cheese. There is no table service, you order food and drinks at the bar, which I don't particularly like but I guess it keeps the labor cost down. This is where I wish Yelp allowed us to rate half points, because I'd give it a 3.5. read more

Decent but not great food. Fun game room. NO TABLE SERVICE. Which is whatever but I wish I'd known in advance that it was all app orders or bar service. Bartender insisted on starting a tab. But I couldn't ever get a second drink due to the lines. When we went to pay there was a 30 minute line to close out tab. I asked a bidder if there were any shorter options since I've got little ones and I just needed to sign my name. He told me "tough luck, it's busy." It WAS busy and I was constantly fending people off from our table if I got up to get water or get more coins for games, I'd return to people sitting at our table despite our coats and stuff being there. I have to thank One Well for introducing me to Gose and sours as a whole. It quickly has become one of my favorite beer styles. I stopped in with some friends from work for a chat and a beer. This was my second time here, my first time was maybe a year or two ago. The beers are quite good. I had a blondie, one friend had a Porter called Blast if I remember correctly. And my other friend had an IPA. We all loved our beers. Mine was very tasty and unlike any other blonde ale I've ever had any where else. The porter had really nice notes of chocolate and coffee which pleased my friend. And the IPA too was delicious. We went for lunch on a Sat afternoon (they don't open until noon). No real wait staff as all ordering takes place at the bar. I ordered the "I'm Cuban" ($12) sandwich - which was excellent. For the price, I was wondering how good it would be and they delivered with a decent portion of meat for the price. My wife ordered the "Veggin Out" quesadilla ($10) and her experience wasn't as positive. It was lacking in flavor and was burned on the bottom. She was disappointed. Every time we go to One Well, I think to myself why don't we come here more often! We've been several times and I love the environment. They have a wonderful kids area to entertain the young ones and the wall of board games is awesome. Most recently my date and I came for lunch, I got the Cuban and he got the meat pizza. The Cuban was great, super toasty and plenty of meat. We had a couple of beers with our lunch and played a few super fun rounds of Exploding Kittens. The second set of people ordered their food about 15 min after the first set. The orders were the same. Group one mac and cheese 2 sets of wings with sauce Group 2mac and cheese 2 sets of wings with dry rub. The third group of people took almost 2 hours to get their food. This is my favorite spot to grab a beer in Kalamazoo, by far. The beer is excellent and the food is great, but my favorite thing about this place is the atmosphere. It's a great laid-back spot to hang out with a large group of friends or with the family. One Well has shelves stocked with dozens and dozens of board games and card games, which is always a favorite thing to do for my wife and me. My 8-year-old son loves to come along sometimes and stays busy playing one of the couple dozen or so arcade games and pinball machines. There's also several dart boards and even a play area for small children. It's not uncommon to see families with small children spending time here. It is always easy to find a spot to sit as they have ample seating at two bars and several small-, medium-, and large-sized tables. Kalamazoo is a place where only excellent craft beer has a chance at becoming an entrenched mainstay in the community, and One Well certainly has that going for them. Great and super creative weekly specials. Just had the pizza "Let the beet drop" which was an awesome vegetarian pizza packed full of so much good stuff even carnivores would love it. Beer pesto, grilled asparagus, roasted carrots and parsnips, goat cheese, red onion and mozzarella. And the tree top cider mixed with their sour was a great addition to my meal. The ambience is the best part about One Well Brewing(after beer of course!). We have a two year old with us and the kid play area kept him super busy, giving us time to relax and enjoy our time. They have many vegan/vegetarian options. We ordered the loaded nachos and quesadilla. Loaded nachos was good - not the best we've had though. Quesadilla was really good!! It comes with chips and salsa. Unfortunately before I could take any pictures the for was already close to done. We could not see any plastic being used, which was very impressive. If you're looking for the next step in dystopian 'new normal', I guess this is it. You order your own drinks at the bar and bring them back to your table. Then you sit at the table and go to their website online to order your food, while you wait at the table for it to come. If you are deathly afraid of human interaction, but still want to eat out - here you go. Also, the beer was not that great or unique tasting for a small brewery. There was a common after taste to all five we had in our flights. Plus side - food was decent and the one bar lady we talked to (briefly) was super nice. read more
