The spicy tuna and unagi onigiri was really good! Just wish they had more pieces of spicy tuna. The kabocha pumpkin croquette was really yummy as well. Need to give 2 packets of sauce instead of one. The item that was disappointing was their signature poke bowl. Not sure what happened here but the salmon and tuna was pretty warm....usually raw fish shouldn't be like that and it tasted a little fishy. I would pass on this and only get the onigiri. I don't really think they needed to add that extra SF mandate fee since this isn't like a restaurant and I don't think they do that at other places in the mall.

Randomly stopped at this spot on a walk home. They were so quick and had so many different onigiri options/flavors. We got a spam and eel and both were so tasty. They were decent in size too. I would recommend!

Ordered a combo set of 2 baked salmon + 1 teriyaki chicken onigiri with edamame, chicken karaage, pickled radish and egg. Convenient ordering via a machine. Priced around $15-$16. Service was quick. Food was just okay. I wouldn't eat here again but it does the trick if you're very hungry.

I don't normally eat onigiri often, but I was getting a little hungry waiting around for my family to shop lol. I was standing nearby; this establishment was right in the center of the mall and it seemed to be a quick service. I got the tuna mayo and crab salad, while my boyfriend got the chicken teriyaki. The wait wasn't too long, about 5 minutes or so. I thought I wouldn't get full off of one, but I did! The tuna mayo was really good and definitely filled me up. My boyfriend enjoyed his chicken teriyaki onigiri and he also ended up eating my crab salad onigiri too haha. I'll definitely stop by again when we're at Stonestown! It's fast, convenient, and delicious!

Exactly what we needed. Small warm delicious bites. We got shrimp tempura, spam and chicken teriyaki - all really good. The place is in the mall and outside the food court so very casual, grab&go and there is no seating. Food came pretty fast but there was also no line.

Great convenience in snacking while shopping. The food is good and fresh. The service was fast but they were not aware of how to join the bonus program. The kiosk monitors are big and easy to work with. The store is clean and well situated in the center of the mall. Close to the entrances too. I will be back again soon

We stopped by Onigilly for a snack, a little musubi. The prices are very good, the space is clean. You order from a large screen, it's very quick and efficient. We got 2 spicy tuna poke musubi, it includes crab salad and furikake. They were very big, I thought the fish and crab was a good pair. It was a little spicy, if you don't like spice maybe not for you. I was really happy with the musubi. The rice was nice, not too mushy. This is a solid filling snack for $5-6. If you have a chance, I highly recommend stopping by for a musubi!

Snack or meal, super simple and easy to eat. Choose from bowls, combos, or just one item. Can't miss the place since it's at the center of the escalators. Weekday lunch had no line, but weekend usually has lines. Order at kiosks on the side of the upstairs escalator, the left hand side, and pickup is on the right hand side. Baked salmon onigiri was $4.70 (surcharge included). Received my order quickly. Mostly a to go place, luckily there's seating on the second floor food court. The nori (seaweed) was crunchy as you ate the onigiri. There's plenty of baked salmon throughout my bites. Was not too salty or vinegary either for the rice. Definitely pretty filling snack/light lunch.

Super Quick. Seaweed is nice and crisp. Rice is a little hard. Love that they have a reward system and mark GF/veg on their menu. Got the miso Eggplant and Spam onigiri. Both had nice flavor though I liked the salty sweet of the spam better. Nice option for a quick bite.

We were craving a snack in the mall and between 2 people we shared their snow crab and unagi onigiri. Both were good, but the seaweed was not crispy at all, even though we ate it right away. The protein in the onigiri was tasty, and we both preferred the unagi one, since it was more flavorful. Service was pretty quick.

I was actually coming back from lunch when I realized I wanted a drink before driving to the East Bay. I ended up ordering a drink and two items since the menu sounded pretty fire. I picked up a simple spam onigiri (to try the rice) and the spicy bacon and egg one- my snacks didn't even make it back home with me. Ate them as soon as I got in the car. The lemonade was good as well. Definitely bookmarked for next time!

Sushi Zen? More like, Sushi "Win"!…read more For years, Sushi Zen has been our local go-to when we want to satisfy our dinner sushi fix. The staff are friendly and we typically get a complimentary roll with our takeout order (one of these days we'll dine in). The rolls are consistent and delicious. The restaurant is narrow with tables of four on either side. Tons of photos and hand drawn pictures are taped on the walls. We were warmly greeted and both sushi, lunch, and dinner menus and cups of hot tea were brought over. We each ordered off the laminated lunch menu. Miso soup came with each order. They offer a daily student lunch special as Lincoln HS is located nearby. When I asked about the student lunch special I was told anyone could take advantage of the special. Our orders were quickly made and brought to our table - * daughter had bento combo lunch A - chicken teriyaki, tempura with one shrimp, and four pieces California roll * I had bento lunch combo T - tempura with one shrimp, four slices sashimi, and four pieces of California roll. All good. * hubby got katsu chicken donburi - it was like chicken karaage rather than chicken cutlet. He said good. Once again we were pleasantly surprised at the number of to go orders placed while we dined in. I can't tell you how many times I've walked by this restaurant thinking how does a small business owner survive. Goes to show can't judge a book by its cover. Each time a local entered he/she was greeted by name. Service was attentive and our tea cups constantly refilled. So far I'm sticking to my 2026 eat local in the 'hood list. This being #6.

We were served complimentary edamame while looking over the menu. A majority of the entrees came with miso soup, salad, and ice cream, though none of the ramen/ udon dishes came with those sides. I do wish it was included with the ramen dishes because there was typically only a $1-$2 difference between the ramens and the rice plates (with the ramen dishes being more expensive). The sushi menu was very interesting, but we decided on the Mama Maki (eel and albacore) and the Cream Roll (scallops). The Mama Maki is definitely something that I would order again. The pork ramen was also the highlight of the dinner. The soup was extremely flavorful, but honestly the 4 thin slices of pork were dry. Everything else tasted good. They had 2 TVs playing football and music in the background with low volume, so it was very comfortable to talk and have conversation. We happened to arrive during happy hour, which runs even on Sundays starting at 5 PM, and that definitely shaped our experience. We arrived around 6:30 PM and were seated immediately with our reservation. The restaurant wasn't very busy, which made for a relaxed dining experience. The space itself is beautiful and thoughtfully laid out. The tables are a little close together, but not enough to feel uncomfortable. One unexpected highlight was how clean everything was, including the restroom. It even had a bidet and a massage chair, which was a fun surprise. Service was friendly and welcoming throughout the meal. The staff was nice, although there were a couple moments where things felt slightly unpolished. At one point, a server nearly knocked the soy sauce off our small table while setting down dishes. Nothing spilled, but it stood out given how limited the table space felt once the food arrived. For food, we ordered the Lion King roll, several pieces of nigiri, and a few hand rolls. The nigiri was solid, and at the happy hour price of $2 per piece, it felt like a reasonable value. The Lion King roll was okay, but the cooked fish had a slightly fishy flavor that kept it from being a favorite. The hand rolls were also part of the happy hour menu at $8 each. While that sounds like a good deal, they were much smaller and more minimal than what I'd typically expect from a hand roll. My biggest hesitation is the pricing. During happy hour, the specialty rolls were around $18 for eight pieces, which is pretty standard for comparable sushi restaurants. Outside of happy hour, those same rolls jump to about $28, which feels extremely expensive for what you're getting. Happy hour made the meal feel reasonably priced, but I would have felt very differently paying full menu prices. Overall, I'm glad we finally gave Lion King a try. The atmosphere is pleasant, the restaurant is well kept, and the staff is friendly. However, the food didn't quite justify the regular pricing for me. If I came back, it would definitely be during happy hour.

Though can be problematic if you also order a big sushi platter. Regardless, crisped up nicely with tender meat underneath. The generous amount of spicy mayo was a great pairing. Lovers Boat: Definitely meant for two people, so a decent deal for all the food. Lots of variety with rolls, nigiri and sashimi. Though the nigiri might cause some lovers quarrel because for many fish types there's only one nigiri. Thankfully I'm pretty skilled at cutting nigiri in half with just chopsticks, so avoided any conflict! The nigiri was my favorite, with nicely little accents to up the game of the fish. The sashimi was nice too, but it's really just about the plain fish quality being the star. Also, the wasabi on the boat seemed fresher than the paste on the side, so go with that. Wasn't a huge fan of the rolls though. The California roll was the fake crab stuff; some places use canned snow crab to give you real crab but not get too pricey. The spicy tuna tasted a bit fishy, compared to the high end tuna pieces in the sashimi and nigiri. So if you have to sacrifice some sushi to stomach space, save the the rolls for last.
