I love how cozy this restaurant feels with all of the comfortable booths and upbeat music playing. It has a very natural vibe with green leaves on the walls. I usually order the award winning Vegan Red Curry from here with the Spring Rolls. I like that they give you 2 full rolls. Other Thai places often only give you one if at all. The dish itself comes in a clay pot and has a creamy texture and perfect spice level. I usually order medium spicy and the servers always ask for your preference on this, which is nice. I have also eaten and enjoyed the Pad Thai, Green Curry, Basil Stirfry, and Thai fried rice. It's all very well prepared and fresh tasting. The lunch special is just the right portion of food and it comes with rice. Highly recommend the place!

This is going to be my new favorite neighborhood Thai restaurant. Why? 1. Happy hour menu 2. Great service 3. Menu that has Thai dishes and noodle soups. I ordered the duck noodle soup and it was excellent, So full of flavor. My friends all loved their dishes too.

I wish I didn't wait so long to try this spot. The ambiance was cozy, quaint and welcoming, already decorated for the holidays. It's a small spot, but well worth the wait. I started off with a brown sugar milk tea with boba, which hit ththe spot. Then had the gyoza, which is on happy hour. They were crispy and delicious. For my main dish, I ordered the Pad See Ew with shrimp, and it did not disappoint. The stir-fried wide rice noodles were cooked to perfection--soft yet slightly chewy, with just the right amount of caramelized flavor. I felt the portion size was generous, with plenty of shrimp. Overall, the service was friendly, and the food was delicious. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone craving authentic Thai flavors.

I stopped by here earlier today for dinner with my wife and twins. We had found Only Thai on Yelp and liked its rating as well as the fact that it was relatively close by. Going through their website, we were able to put in our order through something called Fox ordering. That predicted that our order would be ready to pick up at 5:45 PM. We arrived to the restaurant at 6:05 PM and our food still wasn't ready. The lady working in the restaurant asked me if I was pickup and whenever I confirmed that I was, she said they were packing them up in the back. About 5 minutes later she asked my name as there had been one to go order sitting and ready to go. Eventually at 6:15 PM I finally had our food and was out the door. For dinner on this evening I decided to order the green curry, medium spice, and picked chicken as my protein. My wife went with the pad Thai for her dinner and chose the mixed seafood for her protein. My entree here actually ended up being really good. The curry was a nice sweet and spicy mixture with the sweetness coming from the coconut milk while the spiciness came from the curry. It was enough spice that you knew it was there but it didn't linger for a long time which was nice. My curry had Thai eggplant, zucchini, bamboo shots, bell peppers and Thai basil in it vegetable wise and then chicken as well. All of the vegetables were good with my favorite being the Thai eggplant and the chicken was good as well. My wife enjoyed her pad Thai with mixed seafood with it containing shrimp, calamari and scallops. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. My dinner was really delicious and I only wish my food was ready whenever it was supposed to have been.

The service and food is absolutely amazing. The pad Thai is one of the best I've ever had, it is a great balance of sweet and spice! The red curry was great but that pad Thai was the hero of the show!

Food pretty good. Only thing is that the owner told me once almost anything they could make vegan. However the staff stated this time that isn't the case. I'll be back, because I like the ambiance, but have to lower my expectations that they aren't as vegan friendly as they used to be.

My friend and I were craving thai, and we found this place in the area. First off, it's so cute inside! Loved the lighting and the decorations. Makes for great pictures! Second, our waitress was super nice and was very attentive even while juggling all of the tables herself (this was toward the end of the night). Lastly, the food was great! My friend had the pad thai and loved it. I ordered their classic fried rice and would definitely order it again! We also shared the krab rangoons. The rangoons were crazy good. Just fyi, the sweet and sour sauce is a bit on the sweeter side, which I didn't like as much, but the food itself was delicious. For sure coming back!

Melt in your mouth Sea Bass! The food is so good!

Everything I've had here has been delicious. I love the Sea Bass with its delicate sauce and vegetables. The green curry tastes do good and the drunken noodles are outrageous.

I asked the server how long they have been open and he said 8 months but I see Yelp pics and reviews dating back at least 3 years. Someone must have told him the wrong information but no matter, we are just glad we finally found it. We went with the classic Shoyu Ramen with nishu beef and black garlic. I was over the moon when they touted a 12 hour chicken broth soup base. Every ramen shop I have tried to get ramen from has a pork based broth which I do not eat. I'm finally able to have ramen and boy it did not disappoint. The noodles were perfectly al dente and had a satisfying chew with every bite. The broth was so flavorful with the bamboo shoots, bean sprouts and all the slow cooked fats and oil from the chicken broth and the nishu beef, which was tender, thinly sliced rib-eye meat, I suspect. All this topped off with a perfectly cooked soy marinated egg. What an amazing flavor combination. The takoyaki appetizer was also delicious. Biting into the crispy exterior, you are then met with a soft and tender interior filled with chunks of octopus. The balls sat atop Japanese mayo and was drizzled with delicious takoyaki sauce. All it was missing was the katsuobushi which would have elevated the takoyaki flavor. We also ordered the Mala Shrimp which was on the Chinese menu and did not come with rice. That had to be ordered separately. Food came out quick as we were the only patrons apart from another table outside and service was good until a large party sauntered in and the server became inundated with requests. All in all, we will definitely be back to try out other menu items.

The main reason was one particular soup they serve that you don't see very often locally: Tom Cua, a crab and seafood soup with egg whites, surimi, shrimp, and I believe squid. It's a nice change from the usual pho options. Unfortunately, the rest of the meal reminded us why we haven't been back in a while. The restaurant was surprisingly quiet for a Friday night. The rocket shrimp appetizer had been overfried, the egg rolls in Rachel's bun dac biet were noticeably overcooked, and the grilled shrimp on top were dry from being cooked too long. My lemongrass beef arrived with far more onions than beef, and the beef itself was on the tough side. None of it was inedible, but compared with the consistently excellent meals we've had at Pho Gia Vi, it just wasn't close. The Tom Cua was the one dish that justified the trip, but everything else ranged from average to disappointing. I'm glad we went back because it answered the question of whether our memories were accurate. They were. We'll stick with Pho Gia Vi from here on out. It's closer to home, more consistent, and every visit leaves us happy.

We went for breakfast which has a small but amazing menu. As a vegan myself I had to order off the "sides" portion of the menu and I ordered an English muffin and a sliced avocado - very affordable ($5 total). I also ordered the fruit platter ($10) which came with an array of yummy fruits including pear, melons, pineapple, oranges, grapes and strawberries. There was more than enough for our table of three! My daughter had the pancakes which came with a warmed jam, syrup, and whipped cream. She said they were very fluffy. My husband had the chaffles which are croissants pressed in a waffle maker. They came with the same sides as the pancakes. And again he said they were so light and fluffy. We rounded off our meal with iced lattes - mine made with oat milk - and they were outstanding. I usually do not like iced drinks but the weather called for it and I was not disappointed! Overall Takato's breakfast is A+ and the view takes it over the edge of greatness! I hope you get a chance to enjoy it as much as we did! We returned to Takato for dinner and what an amazing meal we had. My one warning is to ask about portion size as many dishes are worthy of sharing size. We ordered an array of food. My son loved the kimchi short rib tacos (2 to an order). My daughter had the duck bao and California roll - both received two thumbs up! My husband had the wagyu sliders which he thought were an appetizer but ended up being a good sized meal served with french fries. He said the burger roll was a bit dry and could have used a sauce. The fries received rave reviews. We also had the mushroom gyoza (5 to an order) and these were delicious. I had the Takato salad without cheese and it did not disappoint. It came in a big bowl with crispy tofu. And I also enjoyed the vegetable sushi which provided a light fragrant taste with a crunchy texture. Takato hits the mark on all fronts and will definitely be a place to which we return whenever we come to Ft. Lauderdale!

Can't forget dessert (included with Omakase), we went with the tempura cheesecake and ube flan, and they were sooo good. We are also excited to try their other location, Sticky Rice!
