The food was amazing! I wish they gave you more for your money though, it seems like the last time we went the portions got smaller. Parking is also complicated since it is right off of a busy road but there is a small lot just past the restaurant that is good. It's usually quiet and a very nice place to go on a date. read more

A small, unassuming location on the side of the road with limited parking. The decor is cute and casual with a friendly staff. We started off with the Crispy wontons which were great. Not too fried and full of meat. Then for the main course, we tried the duck soup which was amazing and soo tasty and the Drunken Noodles which is always a solid choice at a good Thai place. The dessert was just ok but I would definitely return for the food. Great place and authentic. read more

1st time and last probably. Definitely pricey for the quantity of food. Just about $40 for pad thai and a stir fry. $15 for a cup of garlic veggies. 3rd star was for the flavor. Good flavor and heat. read more

Fantastic, over the top! Exceeded our expectations. We had the drunken noodles and red curry and both dishes were excellent. We like spicy food and ordered "hot" spice for both dishes. I am a drunken noodle fan, but most places either use the wrong noodle type or the flavor is bland. At "OT" the noodles were large, cooked to perfection and the flavor was perfectly balanced. Service was attentive and welcoming. Our new favorite spot when I'm Ft Lauderdale. The ambiance and lighting were a nice touch too. Can't wait until our next visit there. read more

We ordered to go and the food was really good but the wait was obnoxious. We waited around 45 minutes for a shrimp fried rice and seafood drunken noodles. Although the entrees were delicious, the protein portion was so little in each dish. We paid $4-5 for shrimps and seafood, on to have a few pieces thrown in the dish. A real gem of a Thai restaurant! The service and cleanliness of this restaurant are impeccable. Cozy and stylish atmosphere. Best Thai food on East coast of Florida! Check out the dishes below which my family enjoyed and they speak for themselves. Tip: We asked for Medium heat in the sauce and that's perfect. Medium is hot enough so don't order Hot unless you really can tolerate it. I recommend Mild for anyone that doesn't like Hot. We can't wait for a second meal there! read more

Cute little Thai restaurant just off the main road. We came here for lunch. The place was clean with cute, minimal decor. We decided to go with the lunch specials. The pad thai and chicken fried rice entrees were our favorite. Well flavored. We also ordered the chicken in basil sauce, cashew chicken and green curry with tofu. My husband and i who have been in the food and beverage business for 20 was astonished at how bad the service was. We waited a very long time for service. Chipped plates, no check back.. very slow . This would have been okay if the restaurant was full .. only 4 tables . One decent waiter could have handled it alone. The food was okay. If you want a dinning experience i would recommend somewhere else. Terrible read more

Upon arrival its clear that parking is a bit of an issue. We were promptly seated and service arrived fairly quickly. We ordered crab rangoon, side salad with peanut deessing and for dinner we had shrimp pad thai and shrimp red curry. The crab rangoon sauce was not all that good and the peanut dressing was more like thick peanut butter. In both the pad thai and the curry you can tell the shrimp were not fresh as it had an after taste. The pad thai sauce was a bit too sweet and the noodles were way over cooked. The Red Curry was good in flavor but it was more like a watery soup. But the kicker for us was that they allowed pets into the restaurant a big no go for us. We wanted to try another Thai spot but we will be going back to our usual spot. read more

I went in for dinner a few weeks ago and was blown away! TK, the owner was very attentive and stopped by my table to chat about food. I told her of my Thai restaurant knowledge from Vegas and she was quick to suggest a delicious dish from Northern Thailand. I gobbled that up with a glass of Moscato and finished with the Young Coconut Cake. Apparently nobody else in the area is allowed to serve this cake due to an exclusivity agreement. I followed up the other week with a lunch (yes, they are on special) and of course it was delicious. This is my local Thai place from now on. Well done TK! read more

Met my wife here for lunch for her mom's birthday because she was in the mood for Thai. We arrived for a late lunch and the service was pretty slow. Since lunch is until 3:30, we ordered off of the lunch menu, which comes with wonton soup, a a salad or spring rolls. We both got the spring rolls and her mom got the soup. I ordered the red curry with tofu and it was a nice portion. Quite Sweet but it was good. It was just enough to finish the whole dish. My wife ordered the Basil tofu and her mom ordered Green Curry with chicken. She ended up asking for it to be lighter on spice because it was too much. The waitress was not very helpful but kind none the less. We were hoping to get some dessert for her birthday but the check came without being offered so we just left. Overall, I think we might come to try dinner because the expanded menu looked great but it if the service is as slow as it was with 2 other customers, then we might reconsider. read more

I loved the ambiance here. The service was excellent. This was probably the best Thai I've had in South Florida. Every dish was packed with flavor. If you like spice, I'd order hot with your dish. We ordered the beef satay, fried wonton, drunken noodles, pad Thai and Massaman curry and honestly, I'd recommend any of them. Id love to come back to try the rest of the menu! There are three great aspects to this restaurant. One is the server by the name of Grace, number two is the owner and lastly is the wonderful food. I can't say enough good things about this restaurant the food is fresh and delicious in comes displayed on your plate like a five star restaurant. In an endless sea of Sushi Thai establishments, where does one go to when they want true, authentic, unadulterated Thai cuisine the answer to that would be Only Thai, of course. This place rocks! The food is flavorful and authentic, the service is great. The ambience is cozy and not dingy at all. I've been here several times and eaten a variety of their dishes and none of them have disappointed me. The owner is super personable and always wanting to improve so she asks how everything was. I think that's super important and I wish more places took pride in their establishment like that. All in all, this is a solid place deserving of a visit especially if you're interested in trying really authentic Thai cuisine. Remember, you'll only get Thai here, there's no sushi or other cuisine here to mess with....so it's....Only Thai :) read more

Food was delicious...no complaints about the flavor. I got curry with mild heat since it was my first time there. Wasn't sure how their interpretation of hot was. Could have easily gotten medium. I asked the server how long they have been open and he said 8 months but I see Yelp pics and reviews dating back at least 3 years. Someone must have told him the wrong information but no matter, we are just glad we finally found it. We went with the classic Shoyu Ramen with nishu beef and black garlic. I was over the moon when they touted a 12 hour chicken broth soup base. Every ramen shop I have tried to get ramen from has a pork based broth which I do not eat. I'm finally able to have ramen and boy it did not disappoint. The noodles were perfectly al dente and had a satisfying chew with every bite. The broth was so flavorful with the bamboo shoots, bean sprouts and all the slow cooked fats and oil from the chicken broth and the nishu beef, which was tender, thinly sliced rib-eye meat, I suspect. All this topped off with a perfectly cooked soy marinated egg. What an amazing flavor combination. The takoyaki appetizer was also delicious. Biting into the crispy exterior, you are then met with a soft and tender interior filled with chunks of octopus. The balls sat atop Japanese mayo and was drizzled with delicious takoyaki sauce. All it was missing was the katsuobushi which would have elevated the takoyaki flavor. We also ordered the Mala Shrimp which was on the Chinese menu and did not come with rice. That had to be ordered separately. Food came out quick as we were the only patrons apart from another table outside and service was good until a large party sauntered in and the server became inundated with requests. All in all, we will definitely be back to try out other menu items.

The main reason was one particular soup they serve that you don't see very often locally: Tom Cua, a crab and seafood soup with egg whites, surimi, shrimp, and I believe squid. It's a nice change from the usual pho options. Unfortunately, the rest of the meal reminded us why we haven't been back in a while. The restaurant was surprisingly quiet for a Friday night. The rocket shrimp appetizer had been overfried, the egg rolls in Rachel's bun dac biet were noticeably overcooked, and the grilled shrimp on top were dry from being cooked too long. My lemongrass beef arrived with far more onions than beef, and the beef itself was on the tough side. None of it was inedible, but compared with the consistently excellent meals we've had at Pho Gia Vi, it just wasn't close. The Tom Cua was the one dish that justified the trip, but everything else ranged from average to disappointing. I'm glad we went back because it answered the question of whether our memories were accurate. They were. We'll stick with Pho Gia Vi from here on out. It's closer to home, more consistent, and every visit leaves us happy.
