Updated review July 2025. I visited Onnuri to have lunch. The food was just as good as the first time. The bulgogi dupbob had a generous portion of beef and veggies. The fried egg on top was cooked medium well. I like the egg yolk runny so you can spread it on the rice. The Goma fried chicken was juicy and crispy. The sauce has some red and green chilies to give some bite. Overall great meal and service was friendly. They give you 5% discount if you pay cash. If you want some authentic Korean food pull up here. There's outdoor patio too.

Came back here for some takeout - one of our favorite Korean restaurants. Service is always friendly. We got our typical stir fried squid and vegetables with rice and fried egg. Always great spicy sauce and all the veges are cooked well. Egg on top is always delicious to break the yolk into the rice. 5/5. We also got the seafood jajangmyun - love the black bean sauce and the noodles. Fresh cucumbers on top and a hard boiled egg. 5/5.

Side dishes - Kimchi, Braised potatoes, Bean sprouts - All very good, but like the braised potatoes the most! Pork Cutlet - Labelled as a 'side' but definitely a meal in itself. Batter was nice and crispy. Pork dry but good with sauce. Nice to try. Korean fried chicken - Pickled Jalapeno - A unique flavour for fried chicken, sweet and creamy, but also slightly sour and spicy. Most of the meats in this fried chicken was dark meat, great choice! Would get the fried chicken again, but not my favourite flavour. Beef Dolsot Bimbimbap - A pretty standard stone rice bowl. Their red sauce is perfect mix of spice, sweetness and umami! Would get again! Will come again to grab fried chicken and try the pork bone soup!

    Pork bone soup was awesome

Wow, this restaurant is awesome. We tried their supreme fried chicken, JajangMyun (black bean pork noodle), and the GamJaTang (pork bone soup). The Supreme fried chicken was amazing. Sometimes fried chicken can be a bit dry, but this was super juicy and tender. The sauce was nice too, but next time, I would probably get the sauce on the side so I can control how much sauce I have on it. The JajangMung was good, but it tasted kinda like regular spaghetti. It might just be me and that I am not used to this dish. The GamJa Tang was great. Probably one of the better pork bone soups I have had. The lady who runs the restaurant is so friendly and kind. Really great. The food takes a. It of time to get to your table, but I chalk this up to them taking their time to get the food done right. Highly recommend!

OMG, this place is just awesome. Their chicken is just fantastic. Awesomely done. You have to come here for a pilgrimage if you love Korean fried chicken. I only tried their Sauce Chicken and I am determined to go back next time for other flavors. They also have those very traditional pork bone soups. They use pretty good ingredients. Packed with lots of traditional Korean flavor in it, and the meat has been braised for a very long time. So tender. Hot soup paired with fluffy white rice. What else could be better to have in the cold winter? Well, maybe a couple of Korean Soju or green plum wine. And of course, the meal comes with those complementary side dishes, pickles, kimchi, sweet potato, and bean sprouts. Can't wait to go back!

Parking is a bit of a nightmare at this plaza when it's busy but not bad if you come for an early dinner. Service is quick and the menu is fairly straight forward. I always get cold noodles here. I like the soup base and it's really refreshing. The banchans are good but not really ones I personally like. I only eat the kimchi We tried the tteokbokki today. It was pretty spicy and I really like the rice cakes. Super chewy!! It came with some veggies, fish cake and glass noodles too. Definitely not a side dish size. I could order this as my meal next time haha

My new hood. Has to check out the spinny wheel at onnuri - Korean bar with a karaoke stage and blasting kpop music. Sadly kept it sober. Chicken (supreme & gold cheese) $23 per order I'm not sure what's in the supreme wings but they slapped like gar par with the signature Korean red sauce. Seafood udon (can skip), but they had loads of seafood. So if you love clams, mussels, shrimps there was at least a pound inside. Snow fries $7 fries with cheese powder. Beef tataki - not seasoned well, and too thick. We actually got this for free from spinning their prize wheel which you get if you spend over $50 I think?? Would go back, if I was already hammered tbh.

I've ordered from Onnuri a few times and I've never been disappointed with the food. Today, I ordered original Korean fried chicken, sauce chicken and tteokbokki for take out. It came with kimchi side dish, fish cake, and cubed radish. I find the portion sizes at Onnuri to be pretty big compared to other fried chicken places. I am always really full. In terms of the food itself - can't complain. The original chicken is my favourite - it is crispy and just delicious. The sauce chicken is a combination of sweet and spicy and enjoyable too. The tteokbokki has good spice to it. I've mainly ordered fried chicken from here, but I look forward to trying other dishes too.

This place has one of the best Korean fried chicken! Their pieces are always huge and juicy, never dry. This time we decided to be more adventurous and tried the black sesame fried chicken. The black sesame sauce is sweet (similar to black sesame desserts) and thick, while the chicken still remained crispy and juicy. I think you will enjoy it if you like sweet Korean fried chicken and black sesame desserts. The budae jjigae was my favourite. Loved the creaminess the American cheese adds to the soup. It was enough to satisfy three of us.

    Soondaeguk (Korean blood sausage soup)
    Catherine S.

We ordered Gamjatang, Soondaeguk, King donkatsu and seafood pancakes through UberEats for a Mother's day dinner last night and the food was better than I had expected. I was a bit hesitant to order Soondaeguk (blood sausage soup) as most restaurants I've tried this dish in (at least in Toronto) have served up a poor version of this robust soup but I was pleasantly surprised by Onnuri's version. This hearty soup was brimming with substance (lots of sliced pigs ear, blood sausage slices and organ meats) in a broth that was so well-balanced with all my favourite Korean spices and herbs (perilla leaves, ground wild perilla seed with tons of green onion and asian chives). I will definitely be thinking about this soup for a while. Gamjatang also fared very well although at first glance, we thought it would be on the mild side as the broth looked fairly clear. This soup was also very well executed with cleaner yet flavourful broth with generous amount of fall off the bone pieces with an obligatory potato and napa cabbage. The katsu was your standard thinner pieces of pork in panko crumb. Your average katsu but nothing to write home about. The seafood pancake arrived a bit soggy (as expected) but a quick re-fry on a oiled pan did the trick and was tasty. Our overall first experience at Onnuri was pretty good so we're planning to try out their fried chicken for delivery next time!

    Tok tok chicken ($19)
    Holly K.

Came here with a friend for dinner, as this was both our first times here. I usually have my set of go-to Korean restaurants but felt like trying something different for a change. We shared the tok tok chicken and a kimchi jigae. The highlight of the meal was hands down the chicken. It was so saucy and had a delicious balance of sweet with a bit of spice. The chicken was also hugeeee (my picture doesn't do it justice) and so meaty. It was really satisfying. The kimchi jigae was meh in my opinion. It was what you would expect but nothing mind blowing. The prices are fair. What I didn't really like was that everything was served with disposable dishes and cutlery, which took away from the dining experience. I appreciated getting gloves to eat the chicken though. All in all, solid place for Korean food.

    Pork Bone Soup with Udon
    Ryan C.

Love this cozy neighbourhood Korean restaurant! Very down to earth restaurant with a variety of Korean dishes. Tried the Pork Bone Soup with Udon and they were very generous with the meat. The meat was also very tender, just came off the bone easily. Service is attentive and nice. Definitely recommend as there aren't many Korean restaurants in the area.

I was starting to get really hangry and irritated after walking around the city all day. We started with Korean beer and shots of Jinro Is Back Soyu. It was a good idea. Overall the food was quite good. I recommend everyone to check this restaurant out for themselves. The Korean pancake with seafood and vegetables was huge and much crispier than the one I've tried before. My beef tartare bibimbap was perfect. Just thinking about it makes me want to have it right now. The sizzling hot plate with pork and squid also looked very impressive. It must have been delicious as well, because one of my companions ate the whole thing with no problem. The spicy shredded beef brisket stew/soup 'Yukgaejang' was something which i wouldn't survive, but my man finished everything to the last drop. Hence we entered Jin Dai Lae. Good decision (yes, I am patting my back). Entree pricing was $3 to $4 lower than Markham/Richmond Hill. Portion was so big that you would be full, and might have to doggy bag. Most importantly, food tasted good. Short ribs stew had many pieces of beef. Squids hot plate was saucy. It wasn't too spicy, so it was good for me (menu didn't have a chilli sign either). For people who like it hot, you can ask for some chilli sauce.
