    Spam Musubi. Ate one already.

I enjoy Hawaiian food. There are not many restaurants in the High Desert serving this. My mainstays from Ono Hawaiian BBQ have always been Kalbi Short Ribs and Spam Musubi. Sometimes I will order a Kahlua Pork plate. The plate meals come with two scoops rice and one scoop macaroni. The macaroni will have tuna mixed in but it is barely detectable both in sight and in taste. Some steamed veggies also come with the meal. The food has always been very delicious and consistent. Spam Musubi is good here. I like that there are two pieces per order. Other places charge by the piece. The Spam in the musubi is cooked in a nice teriyaki sauce. This went well with the rice and seaweed. I always get either one of two orders. There is a limited time menu item currently: Hula Guava Pie. Think Poptart with a tropical filling. The guava paste was not too sweet at all and slightly tart. Most of the sweetness is from the pink icing on the top. The hand pie is generously large. It easily filled my hand and was plenty to share with another person. I order online for pick up. There is less of a wait in the restaurant. Employees were very friendly and efficient. Plenty of parking available in the shopping center.

Another excellent visit. Food was fresh and tasty. Got the shrimp and chicken katsu. Love the bag this comes with. Kids meal comes with good portion, juice and juice porch. Staff helpful and friendly. Plenty of space inside. Very clean. Good drink options.

I have been to this Ono Hawaiian BBQ long long time ago. Most recently, I thought I give them a try again. I do enjoy Ono Hawaiian teriyaki chicken and macaroni salad. Upon walking up to the counter, I was greeted immediately. Staff was nice. I knew exactly what I wanted to order. I got 1 seafood mix plate, 1 shrimp and teriyaki chicken plate, 1 side of macroni salad. While I was waiting, I got some containers of teriyaki and katsu sauces. There weren't many people at the time. The wait time was okay. This place is quite spacious... by the looks from the outside, you can't really tell it has good space. I was so eager to eat the macroni salad. Unfortunately, it did not taste like I remember it. Something was way off. I was very disappointed. The mayonnaise was thicker and the flavor was just not the same. I ended up tossing half of it away. As for the teriyaki chicken, the marinate was not the same either... not sweet just meh. Chicken was not very moist either. The shrimp was on the smaller side. I probably will not return back here. However, I will still entertain other Ono Hawaiian locations.

This spot it's great. The outside looks small but it's pretty decent size. There's like 5 gentlemen in the back making the plates and I notice the manager in the front with a cashier. I really like the service, the manager and cashier are super attentive and efficient. If you have a big order I strongly recommend calling ahead , your order will be ready within 20 min. They take approximately 10-15 min to do your order so don't expect it to be like the regular drive thru fast food restaurant. The food was great, the chicken was juicy and the beef was juicy and soft. The salad it's good but if you like your salad juicy ask for an extra dressing. The rice it's ok nothing out of the world. I recommend this place if you're looking for a healthy option!

Spam Musubi are pretty good, top them with teriyaki sauce.

Spam musubi are pretty good, I like them topped with teriyaki sauce. Crispy Shrimp have panko breading and are crunchy and tasty. Add the special sauce to these.

Omgosh! So delicious and flavorful. I will definitely be back! I couldn't finish it all but it made great leftovers for the next day. I also got a side salad which I wasn't a fan of. Overall. Still great!

I ordered the fish plates and fresh coconut. However my fish plate was literally just that I requested extra tartar sauce and got all the way home to receive no tartar sauce whatsoever. It's not a deal breaker however when I come back the next day and remind them about the mistake she offers to sell me the same fish plate and this time they won't forget the tartar. What's a fish plate with no tartar, it's not even a fish plate any more 3 stars

Unfortunately, this visit felt very different. We arrived around noon, and the restaurant was completely empty. They had several TVs, so I asked if they could put on the World Cup. Our waitress declined, explaining that when games are on, customers tend to stay long after they've finished eating. While I understand that may be their policy, it didn't feel very customer-friendly, especially with no other patrons in the restaurant. I also asked if there was an outlet where I could charge my phone. When we found a nearby table with a wall plug, I asked if we could switch tables since we'd only been served water. The waitress said it would be "too confusing for the system" because our orders had already been placed, despite the restaurant being empty. She did offer to charge my phone from an outlet in the hallway, which I appreciated. I asked if they had a few of our favorite sushi items--things like a Las Vegas roll, Orange Blossom roll, or salmon collar (all very common at sushi restaurants back home in Las Vegas). The response seemed more confused than helpful, and overall the interaction just didn't feel very welcoming. On the positive side, they brought out complimentary shishito peppers and radish as an appetizer, which was a nice touch. My daughter really enjoyed the salmon teriyaki, and we also liked the chicken teriyaki roll. At the end of the meal, we had to flag someone down for our check and for to-go boxes while the staff was busy cleaning tables. We were handed a wet plastic bag to pack up our leftovers, which was an odd way to end the experience. Overall, the food was better than the customer service. We'd still consider stopping again because the food is decent, but we hope the hospitality improves. A more welcoming attitude would go a long way.

I really wanted to love the brick-and-mortar location because the food truck is hands-down AMAZING…read more The truck fries are incredible, the guys working there are always awesome, and the service has consistently been top-notch. That's honestly why this visit was such a disappointment. The new building itself is beautiful, and the ambiance isn't bad at all, but the food was a complete mess. Almost everything came out cold, lacked flavor, or just wasn't prepared properly. We ordered mac & cheese fries, carne asada fries, fried pickles, sandwiches, and drinks -- and every single one of us had something to complain about, which is rare for our group because we usually don't complain. The mac & cheese fries especially were rough. The macaroni wasn't even mixed together -- it felt like plain noodles thrown on fries with cheese dumped on top. Way too much pepper and almost no actual flavor. The guacamole was so sour it made one of the kids unable to eat his food, and he's the type of kid who eats basically everything. For the amount of time we waited (around 45 minutes), we expected the food to at least come out hot and worth the price, but unfortunately it just wasn't. The free chips and salsa while waiting was a nice gesture, but one tiny portion for five kids and three adults didn't really help much. The girls working there were sweet, but overall the service felt disconnected. Two cups of water got spilled and no one noticed or offered help. Toward the end of the meal they told us the arcade games in the back were free, which was nice, but by then the kids had already played because the food took so long. The fancy robots and tech are cool, but they don't make up for the lack of care going into the food. I truly hope this is just a rough start or growing pains because the food truck has set such a high standard. I know they're capable of so much better, and I'd honestly love to see this location improve
