One salad was to have lemon chicken and it ended up having bbq beef . Than on the other plate was supposed to have island fire chicken . But came with just regular chicken. I used to like this place, but the fact that they don't send complete orders (missing items, sauces) combined with the fact that the phone is ALWAYS busy (tried calling over 50 times in a 30 minute period), compared to other restaurants who are also dealing with COVID and getting their orders out correctly and answering phone calls, leaves a bad taste. Also, chicken Katsu without Katsu sauce (which we've received on two separate orders now) is nasty. They need to figure it out because this isn't working at all. read more

It's one of the few places i feel i can enjoy a healthy meal that doesn't feel like a traditional healthy meal. And last week i was impressed! With this pandemic crisis going out has been a mess. & I've taken on new adventures like being a first time covid-19 plasma donor. Which means a few things, but also your blood/ plasma should definitely be healthy for the person who receives it. So ive been trying to eat the best. No longer terriyaki in sauce, but i had so many options with ono & my bf could still have his favorite meal. Also, for the small wait they gave us extra sauce, gave me extra lemon slices, and even ensured on lunch boxes were cleaned so we'd be okay. With that said, this place deserves no stars. I placed an order for pick up through DoorDash at 1:35 pm and said it would be ready for pickup at 1:57 pm. I show up at 2 pm and ask the front counter girl who might of been new given the lack of knowledge she had and she said she's barely going to put my order in and it would be ready in a few minutes. You mean to tell me I have to wait extra time after door dash said my food would ready? Okay so I wait it is now 1:15 pm (40 minutes since I place my order) and my order is still not ready. I ask her for how long it would be and she simply says "I don't know". So finally at 2:30 pm I had enough of waiting and wasting time on this beautiful Saturday afternoon. It's a pretty great place to get your Hawaiian food fix in Lodi. It's hard to beat the plate lunches on the islands but this will do. Food always comes out hot, atmosphere is clean and light, and there's always customers inside. There's a ray of sauces for either your bbq chicken, beef, or grilled meats, including a sauce for your chicken katsu. Ono is in a great location and some of the better Hawaiian food in the area. So I will start off by saying I really like this Hawaiian BBQ location but tonight was different. I ordered my food and got the ticket, stood in the back where I could wait for my order. Girl at the register was taking orders and packing food in bags for customers waiting. But then she went straight from the trash can back to the register and then right over to the food counter to open food boxes, place them in bags and touch everyone's eating utensils.....all without washing her hands still. After we ordered we were asked to go outside to wait which is totally fine and understandable considering we are living through a pandemic, what was upsetting though was that others were able to stay inside to wait for their food right after us. The cashier was lovely, but whoever was working with her (she seemed to be in charge) was so blatantly rude when my boyfriend came in to order a drink since he forgot to order one. The girl took my order got it wrong and the taste is NOT the same as ones I have been to in Stockton at all. My daughter couldn't even eat her food. My son got a splinter from touching their wall while sitting on their booths to eat and had to be taken to the ER to get it out. This place!! Nothing but love . Second time we visited this restaurant was lunchtime. The place was hopping with chatter, smiling people from wall to wall. Not a long wait at all and the cashier was very courteous and helpful. We had a few of the coupons left, so we used the one for an entree and deducted $10 off our order. We had the appetizer fried shrimp plus I had BBQ chicken plate with 2 scoops of the salad ( to die for). My Son had a combo plate beef and chicken.
