It was my fav -Food was tasty. Didn't disappoint -Servers were nice and friendly! They were quiet -They were on it with clearing out their tables and cleaned it right away instead of having it sit there -Thai tea was delicious! I wish they did free refills lol Cons -It is hidden behind Pizza Hut/ Taco Bell area, right across the street of Shiros which can be a bit confusing to find if you never been here before (like I have) -parking lot can be a bit confusing too as they share parking lot with other restaurants that has other businesses but it's like if there are no parking you can def park in the other lots too -Papaya salad didn't have any heat. I at least expected it to have 1-2 Thai peppers but didn't. It was totally mild. Which could have been a pro but papaya salad was very tasted even for it being mild. -This restaurant is on the smaller side but it's doable for smaller parties -Really not a con but the sticky rice came out purple. Expected it to be plain sticky rice but it did have a purple color to it? Maybe they added black sticky rice to it making it purple? Ordered Pad Si Eew Beef for pick-up from Ono Thai. There is enough parking, and we did not have a hard time finding a spot. The food was ready and hot when we arrived. The noodles were a bit clumped together and the sauce was quite watery, but the taste was decent overall. The beef was unfortunately overcooked, but the flavors were still enjoyable. We waited a long time for our food after we ordered - I think take out orders were on the top priority. I ordered Pumpkin Curry and sticky rice which was rather delicious. Also order summer rolls but ran out of peanut sauce. I would have paid for more but attention was on take out orders. Restaurant was clean There is parking right put front being that it was Mother's Day it was rather busy and full. Overall the food was ok, the service was not so good and the prices are reasonable. Catered for my son's first birthday and my family and I eats here regularly. Recommend the place, the food is very delicious. For my son's birthday we catered the Pork Ono Basil entree and Thai Fried Chicken. The pork was so delicious and the perfect spice. The fried Cho Ken was a bit over fried and dry compared to when we get it in store and it's nice and juicy. I met my friends at Ono Thai, in Ewa, for a late lunch on Thursday, 3/16/23, at 1:45p. This was my 4th time eating here and it was very enjoyable once again. This is a great Thai Restaurant that my relative introduced to me last year. The food is always so tasty and substantial for the price. The customer service is also very inviting. As we sat at our table and waited for the rest of my group, we were given a carafe of water, promptly by our friendly server, to pour into our glasses filled with ice. On this visit we ordered the Summer Rolls, Stir Fried Eggplant Salad, Panang Curry with Pork, Fried Chicken, Pad Ki Maow with Chicken, and Jasmine Rice. Everything was so flavorful, and fresh. The Summer rolls were wrapped nicely with noodles and shrimp. The peanut sauce served on the side, added to the dish. The eggplant was stir fried with ground pork that had the essence of fish sauce sautéed throughout the dish. The Panang Curry was nicely balanced with the pork. My friends raved about the crunchiness and juiciness of the fried chicken. The chicken came with a sweet sour hot sauce if you wanted to add additional flavor. Lastly, the stir-fried Pad Ki Maow noodles that came with our choice of chicken was bursting with spiciness, in the way that I liked. Although, one of my friends said it was too spicy for her. Also, the Jasmine rice was a great accompaniment to all of our dishes. After our meal, my friends who came here for the first time raved about how enjoyable the food and their experience was. I am a regular customer here I literally come weekly every week. Lately my online orders have been missing the chili vinegar on the side which is a condiment used on my food. Today when I picked up my order at 2:55pm it was missing the condiments the girl working was very sassy and said it will be $1.00 extra. Very disappointing for a regular customer to be treated that way your online ordering app has issues that as business owners you should address with the company that does your ordering it's not the customers fault neither should the customer be inconvenienced because of your problems. Also charging a customer for a condiment that they would receive without charge dining in which is less then 1 oz of liquid when the order was not completed correctly is terrible customer service. read more

I recommend: ordering the Pad thai & Fried Chicken.. the pad Thai was some of the best I've ever had and the fried chicken, well it's fried chicken! It's very very good! What surprised me? The Papaya salad was great! (It is pretty spicy so don't order if you don't like some heat) it was great and I would order it every time!!!! But don't be fooled by the papaya bc it's spicy! Ono Thai has a lot of variety and their food is really tasty and good. The spicy curry was good and not too spicy and the coconut flavor wasn't over powering, it was just right. The Crispy chicken was very good and tasty. The spring rolls are wrapped with a lighter type of wrap and is light and crispy, but if you plan to have it later it will be chewy and not as crispy, I guess it is the type of wrapping, so better to eat it hot and fresh at that time. read more

Stumbled upon Ono Thai, a little dive bar with some of the best Thai food I've had! The atmosphere is cozy and unpretentious, and the staff was super friendly. We ordered the Thai Fried Chicken, Lumpia, Summer Rolls, and Pineapple Curry, and everything was incredible. The fried chicken was crispy perfection, the lumpia was fresh and tasty, and the pineapple curry had the perfect balance of sweet and spicy. When we arrived, we placed our order right away, and the food came out fast. Everything tasted great. My family and I are frequent visitors to this restaurant, which we believe is the best Thai food spot on the island. This is one of only two places that I currently would consider serves actual Thai food. We've been going here for years and never intend to stop. The food is absolutely amazing, they'll make it properly spicy when you ask, and so much of it is truly authentic and not poor imitations. It's really become pretty out of our way for where we live now, but we'll still drive out there because their food is absolutely worth it. Definitely worth noting though that they can sometimes get busy because of how good it is. Might not always look like it inside though because they're constantly doing take out orders. It was my last night in Hawaii and decided to try this Thai place out. It was a 5 minute drive from the house and parking is very spacious. Food: + Pad Thai: The pad Thai tasted amazing! It was more heavy on the soy sauce than what I'm used too but it balanced out with the chili sauce I added to it. Honestly one of my fave pad Thai that I've had. + Spring Rolls: These springs rolls were delicious! I love how they used the rice paper as the wrap and fried it up! CHECK YOUR FOOD!! We ordered Chicken Pad Thai from Ono Thai to-go, came home and there was absolutely no chicken in it at all just tofu, which it originally comes with tofu plus a protein. We called the store back because we discovered this at home, and the female hostess/waitress at first offered us credit over the phone, but our parents wanted the chicken so we came back to switch it. The same middle aged female hostess/waitress opened the container and said THERE WAS TINY PIECES OF CHICKEN WHICH WAS NO WHERE TO BE FOUND. I then requested if we can get another Pad Thai with no tofu and just chicken and she agreed but said there would be a 30 minute wait. I agreed to wait. After waiting about 5 minutes, the hostess/waitress then changed her mind and said I would need to pay for the new dish. It appeared she kept changing her mind due to her unwillingness to serve us. We changed our mind and took the food and left, but we went to Bann Thai down the street instead. Going to Bann Thai, the food was A LOT MORE APPETIZING and the waitress and hostess was sweet to serve us. 1 star due to the the middle aged female hostess/waitress lack there of service and the wrong order which they refused to switch even with me agreeing to wait. It just appeared she kept trying to find excuses to not assist my family. Ono Thai is located is a hole in the wall located in a little mall. It was pretty easy to find. I ordered the clear noodle salad w/shrimp also known as "yum woonsen." It comes with bean thread noodles, veggies, tossed in a sweet sour house sauce. I love that this dish comes with a lot of veggies and they give a pretty generous amount of shrimp. I really enjoyed it! Price is very reasonable here and they give a lot of food. I'll be stopping by here again the next time I'm in Ewa! Highly recommend. read more

I had Ono Thai for the first time last week and was left feeling very satisfied! I ordered the green curry with chicken, summer rolls, and cucumber salad and it was all so very delicious. The ordering over the phone was quick and helpful, and the service at the restaurant for pick up was friendly and easy going. I'd like to dine in at some point too, because the inside is really cute! Gotten food from here several times and keep coming back because it's so good. Food taste good in the restaurant and when I do take out. Last time we dined in with got Tom yum with chicken but I think she misheard because there was shrimp instead. Not a big deal since it's better with shrimp. My one regret is not having pictures of our dinner. We visited for my brother's birthday as a party of 17, and they could accommodate us. We were there during their peak time, and they handled the rush well. Although there were tons of orders to prepare, the quality of the food was not compromised. We ordered a ton of food but the ones everyone enjoyed the Thai Fried Chicken and the beef panang of all the 10+ things we ordered. We were seated immediately, no frill, no fuss, just a casual and clean atmosphere. Comfortable seats and service right away. We ordered a few vegetarian dishes that looked great and tasted even better. Thai salad, covered in flavorful dressing. Vegetarian mild yellow curry, so delicious. Vegetarian fried rice, served in a PINEAPPLE!! Half an amazing pineapple, real and fresh pineapple, like no canned chunks. That was great!! We tried to order to-go over the phone but their phone line did not work. I kept getting a message that the voicemail had not been set up yet. We drove there and found a small restaurant in a strip mall shopping center tucked away between several other restaurants. The restaurant appears to be clean, modern and casual. There were plenty of tables and seating. The menu on the wall had all the prices scratched our so there is no telling what the prices are. Our order for 3 with one summer roll, one soup, and two dinners was $60. It took about 20-25 minutes for the food. They brought it out to the car where we were waiting which I felt went above and beyond. Thank you for that. I had the long rice soup. The broth was great but the chicken pieces had no flavor.
