The Ontrack movers showed up on time after sending a preemptive text alerting me to their arrival, they worked three hours straight with only one 10 minute break to load the truck, arrived at my storage unit in a timely manner, and proceeded to wait patiently while I reworked my new storage space with the facility's front office. Once we had the okay to move in, movers proceeded to quickly unload the truck into my new unit. I used Ontrack Moving for my move from California to Colorado. We did a lot of research and identified six moving companies. Throughout the process of meeting each company, Ontrack was the most prepared during their on-site visit, took meticulous notes, and guided us throughout the process. We knew that Ontrack was the company for us -- they made us feel comfortable and at ease during the entire process. The moving team (Jonathan, Humberto, Angel, Richard, and Andre in California, with Jonathan and Carlo in Colorado) was incredible. They took care of everything, and we just stayed out of the way. All of our furniture was well wrapped, and everything made it as if it had never been moved. If we ever move again, we will be picking Ontrack Moving again in a heartbeat. I scheduled my move, with packing service included. I was told to provide my own packing materials to avoid extra costs. The three guys that showed up were on time and polite. However, they acted like it was really big deal they had to pack and commented to each other in Spanish how much money they were about to make off me. They definitely did not think I could understand them. They didn't touch the 3 rolls of tape I had bought, and they did not fill boxes very much before closing it and getting another box. Honestly, I could have used at least 5 less boxes than they did just on being able to fill them more than half way up. The whole deal took 6.5 hours including drive time. I was told I would be charged an 3% fee if I paid with a card. So I brought cash. I wanted to split the payment and pay the 3% on a total of $300 and pay the rest cash. However, they charged the total $$$$ +3% amount in my card. The guy kinda just looked at me and stared for a really long time. Like he was waiting for me to was it was ok. But it wasn't and I was really upset. At this point I just wanted them gone and they didn't seem to have a solution. I still tipped the 20% in cash as planned. But I will not be using them again. Due to my job I move quite often, compared to other moving companies they are MID. read more

Please continue reading if moving from San Francisco, you may want to reconsider using a different movers, or clearing things beforehand explicitly with the company. Amazing service. The movers were right on time and were extremely helpful and efficient, and were very polite. They were also able to accomodate a last minute request, so very grateful for that. If you need movers who are on time, efficient and very helpful look no further. They were not the cheapest quote we got, and the reviews here do justice for the service and the price point. I would however leave some feedback. When booking the movers, we clearly mentioned there would be street parking since it was SF we were moving out from and my old apartment only had street parking. And almost a month after the service, I am now being asked to pay for a parking citation the movers received. I feel this shouldn't be the client's responsibility and the customer shouldn't be charged for it, if there were parking available in SF for a moving truck, I would have gladly helped them park there, but the only option is street parking unfortunately near my old apartment. But then again, I guess no other way around it. Just leaves a bad taste from an otherwise amazing experience. Please consider updating your website/FAQs that the customer would be responsible for any parking citations. read more

Wow. We underestimated how long it would take us to pack up and move our home of nearly 6 years, and I am so glad Ontrack Moving was able to accommodate our last minute booking! Scheduling the move was very easy. On the day of the move I was helped by a three person move team - Eduardo, Edgar, and Jonathan. I am extremely impressed and happy with our experience with Ontrack! We had to move a 10x15 storage unit's worth of stuff, including a few heavy and large pieces of furniture, to a new location up 3 stories of stairs - not a particularly easy move. Dylan was very quick, responsive, and professional with providing a quote and answering questions through the Yelp messaging feature. We were quoted $125 per hour for 2 movers, cost for disposable material (tape, shrink wrap, etc), and there is no truck / gas charge (however there was a double drive time fee regardless of the distance, so the 10 minute drive was charged as 20 minutes of labor). I decided to try Ontrack since their rates, all things considered, are very competitive and reasonable compared to other reputable moving companies. Ernesto and Victor showed up exactly on time and were super friendly. They handled our stuff with great care and moved impressively quickly, even though we were being charged by the hour. Many other movers will take their time when things are based on hourly rates, but we were extremely happy and gracious for their speediness and honesty. I picked Ontrack Movers for a long distance move from the Bay Area to the LA Area. It was a very efficient and smooth move with no damages or delays despite heavy rains over the weekend. This was over 3 separate days of the MLK weekend. Leo was the foreman and was supported by Carlos, Jose, Martin and Juan-Carlos. Big shout out to the team for handling this move with great attention to details and being super professional. I picked their full moving service - Packing, Moving and Unpacking. The packing and unpacking were charged on an hourly basis, while the move was a large flat fee. It wasn't cheap but I found this be worth the money. The packing was Day 1, Loading & Moving was Day 2, Unloading and Unpacking was Day 3. Their team is based out of the Bay Area and they scheduled an appointment to visit my home before the move. Ontrack did a great job moving my 2000 sq ft 3 story house to a new three story house. We have a lot of stuff. I did half the packing and paid them to pack the other half the day before the move. They were fast and careful packers. On move day, they had to lower one bed down over the balcony because the stairs were too narrow. It looked scary but they persevered and got it done safely and without incident. Cesar and his crew (Juan, Martin, Benito) were polite and cheerful, and didn't mind using room label stickers I brought. They looked like they could have moved three more houses afterward. (How!) They were also careful not to scrape walls or light fixtures. None of my items were broken. They perfectly reassembled every piece of furniture they had disassembled. 3 large items that were fragile arrived safely. The company gives an in-person, accurate, quote beforehand which was helpful. The first words of the estimator before shaking my hand and introducing himself were, "I am wearing my foot covers!" which indeed he was. Love it! He also asked if it was ok before opening any cabinet so he could make sn accurate estimate. The corporate communications were also good; clear and timely. I called the office a couple of times with questions and they picked up the phone right away and answered my questions. Communications in person on the move days were also easy and smooth. I am pleased. My only request would be if the company would email a detailed receipt after payment (with number of hours, number and type of boxes, etc) instead of just a payment confirmation (date, total dollar amount). Ontrack Moving was fantastic. Paul came out to survey our storage locker and apartment and provided a fair bid for a move from Burlingame, CA to Oak Harbor, WA. He was able to meet our timeline for scheduling the load in and the big, two day drive up north. On the load in day, four Ontrack guys came and took care of the storage locker in short order followed by clearing out the apartment. They were mindful of keeping under their gross weight, so unfortunately they had to leave about 1000 lbs of stuff behind. Then two movers - Nelson and Carlos (not three, as originally expected) made their way 880 miles north to our new house. They arrived on time and got their truck completely cleared out in just about three hours. They placed all of our furniture and personal items where they needed to be. It amazed us that what took four guys 4+ hours to pack took 2 guys only three hours to unpack. There was minimal breakage, thankfully. We know that's always expected. We had moving insurance to cover any really bad scenarios, but Nelson and Carlos were very careful with antiques, a 75" television, loads of boxes, dishes, etc. Their congenial, can-do attitude, coupled with the Ontrack office doing the planning behind the scenes made a complicated process basically stress free.
