Had to move mid week in a few weeks and needed a local moving service since I was moving solo and had some furniture and many odds and ends to move. They gave me a window of 12p-6p and I received a text warning ahead of time with their ETA. They were actually slightly ahead of schedule. They took the lay of the land and started to efficiently move things. I had Humberto (Foreman) and Hugo. They were extremely accommodating even though I had forgotten to tell them to take the wardrobe boxes out and they had to re-arrange to get access to the boxes which were stuck deep in the truck. I also was late in packing up so I was still trying to pack and box while they were doing their things. I showed them the racks of clothes in different rooms and they loaded them into the boxes for me to help me catch up. When they got to my second garage with a lot of "stuff", they were quite helpful in letting me sort through my items and designating what to take and what not. They wrapped up the furniture and TV and anything else that was loose. We were done packing up earlier than I expected. They actually got to my new place much faster than I expected. After getting an rough idea of where certain things went, they were efficient in unloading. I was able to catch my breath and provide direction on where certain things went. Communication was great throughout from the scheduling to the movers. At the end, Humberto ran me through the numbers so that there were no surprises. Pricing was somewhat competitive overall and there may have been cheaper options, but I tried to go with what service seemed to have a large number of solid ratings/reviews. I was not disappointed. They sent someone for an in-person estimate and detailed out all the expenses ahead of time so I felt comfortable there wouldn't be surprise charges. Absolutely awesome experience for our very first time using professional movers. We've always done it ourselves but we were moving about 2 hours away this time with a 3 bedroom apartment full of items so we called around for quotes and Ontrack was the clear winner from the start. Alex came out for the estimate and walked through the place, we were pretty concerned because there were several staircases both to the apartment and to the parking lot - and no elevator. But he factored that all into the estimate along with some minor crating/packing for our televisions. Booking the actual move was very simple, and we received several confirmations prior to our move day and a text message when they were about 30 minutes away. Our team was Jonathan, Francisco, Arturo and Eduardo who moved everything professionally and quickly. They did a overview of the place, we told them what we didn't want moved and they got to work immediately. They crated up our TVs and automatic litterbox, and plastic wrapped the furniture. At the new place they laid down carpets to protect the floor and carried everything where it needed to be - we'd already labeled all our boxes and hung signs on the doors. At the end of it all our final cost was right around what our estimate was, and the time it took was only an hour longer than they projected (due to traffic). All in all it was a great experience and I'd definitely hire them again for future moves. read more

I used Ontrack to move my 2B2B apartment to a new place a couple of miles away. I am very happy about the service and highly recommend the team - Leo, Carlos, Martin, and Victor. They were extremely polite, took great care of my belongings and were super fast. Below I'll write down as many details as possible, mainly for my own reference. There was a small hiccup with scheduling. I called them and scheduled the service 4 weeks in advance. Then they called me 2 weeks later and said the move wasn't scheduled the first time, so I had to schedule it again. Nothing wrong came out of it, but be sure to check that you got a confirmation in email when you schedule. I ordered full packing and moving. They recommended me to buy my own packing materials from Home Depot to save money. I bought ~40 boxes, and the team provided packing paper (10s of lbs iirc), bubble wrap, shrink wrap, scotch tape (17) and some additional boxes when mine ran out. The prices for the materials were as advertised on their website. I think you could buy everything by yourself, but it's great they have it to back you up. The crew arrived on time - the ETA was 8-10am, they arrived at 8:10. I received text notifications 40 minutes in advance, then at arrival time. I packed only 3 or 4 boxes with personal items the day before. They packed everything else, including the whole kitchen. To jump forward, when I unpacked everything, nothing was broken. Two jars leaked, but they were so thoroughly wrapped in plastic that no other item got stained. Packing and loading took about 2.5 hours, driving time was about 10 minutes, then unloading took another 1.5 hours. In total, I paid for 4h30m. The crew worked super hard, even though it was during a heat wave, and I am very impressed with their speed. For comparison, unpacking took me about 15 hours :). They listened to every request that I had and were happy to follow any instruction, but mainly were working on their own. One team member spoke English and translated to the others. It was rather important to me, because the previous time I moved, I hired a team that I couldn't communicate with clearly and there were misunderstandings. If I could change anything, I would ask them to be less thorough at packing (not sure if they are allowed to do it though). I was very touched seeing my son's collection of sticks wrapped as if it was a unique historical artifact. I spent 5 mintutes unwrapping it before throwing them away. But I totally understand they don't want to make assumptions. They have an option to pay with a credit card with 3% fee (3% discount when paying cash), again as stated on their website. I added 20% tip, I hope it was on a higher end because they did a great job. Overall, I am very happy with the experience. Thank you team! read more

We used on track's team and they were EXCELLENT! My husband booked them after reading many reviews. We had three movers (Valentin, Edgar, and Domingo). They arrived before 8 am and were ready to go! We were worried about how they would move our stuff due to the elevator in our building not working but they made it work with stairs. They moved us from our 2 bedroom apartment to our 3 bedroom home in ample time. They even used extra boxes to pack some of our smaller items. While we paid extra for that, it was absolutely worth it! The costs weren't the lowest, but they did have the full service that I needed (pack, temporarily store, and deliver once I find a new place). So far it's fine. Costs were explained by the sales team upfront, but the day of the move I was a bit surprised to find out how long it would take to unload and pack into storage so the move was more than I had originally budgeted for...and the most expensive portion is still to come when everything is delivered and unpacked. As a senior who works for a non-profit it's a bit overwhelming, but if everything arrives in one piece and in excellent condition (and given how the team wrapped/packed I think it's likely) then I will be happy and satisfied. One thought to any potential movers, please be sure you're supervising since they were going to pack my glass base lamps without wrapping them--that could have been a disaster (fingers crossed they arrive intact). So they aren't perfect (none of us are), but they are responsive and the movers worked hard and efficiently. read more

I cannot recommend this company highly enough! We hadn't moved in 22 years and from beginning to end OnTrack was terrific! Dylan and Leo in booking were professional, communicative, and knowledgeable. The 3 teams we used for each of the 3 moves we made this summer were careful and efficient. Mariela in Accounting was proficient and accurate. We moved our 3Bd/2Ba home into storage for 3 months. We had packed everything ourselves but the OnTrack team finished the job with wardrobe boxes and heavy duty plastic wrap and blankets for the furniture. Several pieces were vintage and required extra care. No problem. The workers packed and wrapped with skill and obvious experience. After everything was moved and stored in OnTrack's very affordable vaults in Hayward we received timely billing. Next, we had some outdoor heavy cast cement pieces which also had to be moved into storage after we finally were able to arrange with our building for them to be picked up. Again, no problem for OnTrack. Everything was packed with great care and expertise and then stored. Three months later, OnTrack was easily scheduled for our final move. They delivered all our belongings in a timely manner. We also used their disposal service for several mattresses and chairs. That was extremely convenient and well priced! Even with all these different moves the company was right there with us with courtesy, no damage and efficiency. These 3 moves were handled quickly, efficiently, capably and skillfully. And given the complexity I was extremely happy with the price as it was 1/3 what the other 2 movers I contacted quoted me. We had our whole house packed and moved to a new house recently. We ended up paying over $3k more than the high end of our estimate, after having an on-site estimate. That's a really big difference especially given that the estimate was in person. The total cost of our move was $6k more than the low-end estimate (even though the estimate was off the weekend rate, and we ended up moving on a Tuesday). And for that price, I'd expect no mistakes, but there was significant damage to our dining table (which I told the movers was very expensive and fragile), damage to a drawer set, and we had broken vases and picture frames. Additionally, the movers charged almost $300 for the carpet plastic wrap and damaged the railing on our brand new staircase. I gave an additional star only because after I reported the above, they refunded me $800 and sent a furniture repair person to try to fix the table and drawers. Overall, we weren't happy with our experience especially paying over $11k for our move. read more

I feel slightly lied to. Their marketing team over the phone is great to talk but not transparent. I had requested a service for moving my 1b1b furniture and boxes from a public storage to my house which was around 12 min. I was told 2 things as part of the service which I didn't receive: - there was no 'Tip Required' message on Yelp but at the end the movers asked me for tips. - There was a 3% discount for cash. But I never received it Additionally, hourly rate in the Yelp message is not the actual one Also the service was slow compared to my earlier one from a different moving company for the same amount of stuff from my earlier apartment (1 block away from this one) to public storage (similar driving time).
