I had high hopes for this place but unfortunately I don't think I want to come back. Out of all days, I decided to go for a Avgolemono soup and spanakopita. I ordered to go, and although the service was great, super friendly, it doesn't pay for what I received. When I came home, all I found was a tiny cup with nothing but chicken broth which I want to believe that 1/2 of that was lemon juice, and the worst park, only two ridiculously tiny squares of chicken, big enough for an ant (not playing). Then they decided to add a super tiny (sauce/tiny dip size) of rice, might as well don't give me anything. It's either you put chicken or no chicken, and yes I know its a broth, but again, if you're not putting any chicken in it, then don't do it all, you just just throw in a tiny embarrassing piece of chicken and 2 grains of rice. I ordered Spanakopita too, wasn't bad at all, but for the amount they serve, I much rather go to Chipotle and spend the same $18 and get 2 dishes than this disaster. Sorry. read more

We wanted falafel and Greek food during our short getaway to Naples. Unfortunately we were disappointed. After reading the reviews for this place I thought the falafels would be made in house and tasty. They tasted frozen and lacked in flavor. They were very mushy inside. Our hummus was ok. Opa is located in a sopping strip so ambience was absent as well. On a positive note there is outdoor seating and the service was good. It's just the food that missed the mark for us. read more

Their GYROS SANDWICH IS NOW $7.95! Still a great deal, lots of meat, & tzatziki sauce and we added on a Greek Salad (really good salad dressing) and beverage (brooded ice tea w fresh lime) for less than $5 extra. It was not only delicious but their kind owner split it @ no additional charge making it so much easier to eat. This was an absolute gem within the litany of restaurants in Naples! It was my wife, her mother, and I who went here briefly for a lunch while visiting Naples and we were thoroughly impressed! The owner was also the hostess and cook during this random time in the afternoon, but he flawless dealt with us, two other dine-in customers, multiple to-go phone orders, and a cranky lady picking up her food as well. He did outstanding and was a pure pleasure to watch in action! But the most important part...the food was amazing! We started with hummus platter, which was perfectly seasoned with fresh charred flatbread wedges. She had the chicken souvlaki, mother had the chicken shawarma, and I had the Greek pizza minus the gyro meat. All of it was phenomenal and the pictures don't come close to the rich Greek flavors throughout the entire meal! Excellent job!! Very hard to notice if you don't look it up beforehand, but this little restaurant with an authentic Greek interior is sure to please every palate in your party! We highly recommend Opa to anyone in the area!! Update: Forgot to mention that the tzatziki sauce is out of this world here! Chicken Shawarma is not boiled chicken. You heard what I just said? Chicken - Shawarma - is - not - boiled - chicken. You can boil it for as long as you want, but it ain't never gonna turn into Shawarma. They have a long black hair feature that follows an hour-long wait. I can't. Ash is the owner of this restaurant and he personally serves his guests. We've had hummus all over the world and his was one of the best. The Greek salad was fresh and riddled with copious amounts of feta cheese unlike other Greek and Mediterranean restaurants. The Gulf Shrimp we're extremely tasty and grilled to perfection. And my gyro was huge and the meat extremely lean and again with copious amounts of Tzaktiki sauce unlike other restaurants I've frequented. The restaurant and tables were clean and spread apart so you're not crowded. One of the best Mediterranean lunch experiences we've ever had. Worth seeking out. read more

Avoid at all costs. Saganaki was brought out with no bread. My friends girlfriend had a rather large and long hair in her Mousaka Poor service. Only 4 tables and it took almost an hour to get three gyros sent out of the kitchen. The gyros were weird frozen strips of who knows what. Yuck!!! read more

Here for the first time for lunch. Joe was our server and was great! The owner also was a pleasure to meet. We spent over 60 years in New York City and very familiar with Greek food. Have eaten in restaurants and on food trucks. Always good. You won't go wrong here. Generous portions for the price. What I liked right from the start was that whatever we had was FRESH! The marinated Chicken Souvlaki was great as was the freshly made Falafel on Pita Sandwiches. For an extra $3.75 you can easily add French Fries or a Salad with a canned soda. Service was not rushed, the restaurant was very comfortable and there are also tables outside the entrance. My Falafel Pita was phenomenal!! I added Hummus AND Feta Cheese .50 each; was well worth the $1) I'll certainly be back for another lunch and eager to try the dinner entrees. I'm hooked on the Falafel Pita....and you will be also. Don't waste your money at this place. I ordered the chicken Souvlaki kabab platter. There was no seasoning at all. It just was a grilled chicken breast that was charred with few pieces of vegetable which also tasted burnt. Hummus with no flavor, literally tasted like a can of chickpeas was puréed and served. My friend and I were craving Mediterranian food and Opa was the perfect spot for our fix. The atmosphere was cozy and vibrant with Grecian art and folk music, and the owner/chef was extremely accommodating. Both of us lived in NYC recently and were craving gyros and salads that measure up to what they serve up regularly in the city. We had the Spanakopita, which was delicious with the richness of the spinach shining through. I ordered the lamb gyro, and for only $7(!!!) is a tremendous deal! Worst Greek food I've ever had, and I've had a lot of greek food. The gyro meat was frozen meat-not fresh off the spit. Hummus was not homemade, pita not toasted for sandwiches or side pita for hummus was cold out of a bag, no potato salad in the Greek salads and store bought dressing, even the saganaki cheese was submerged in a weird tasting liquid-didn't know you could mess up fried cheese. Also way overpriced which I'd be fine with the prices if any of it was authentic. Very disappointed read more

Last night my wife and I are at Opa's for the first time. It was wonderful! We sat outdoors and had excellent service. We started with an appetizer of meat dolmades which were great. Then things got even better with our entrees. My wife had the marinated octopus with flame grilled onions (which is on the appetizer menu). She gave me several bites and it was amazing! I ordered the lamb shawarma. The flavoring of the meat and vegetables was delicious and despite the generous portion, I ate it all. I had read a tip on Yelp about the rice pudding so we had to get some for dessert. It was awesome - a delicious combination of flavors and textures! Throughout our visit the owner came and checked on us and engaged in pleasant conversation. We highly recommend visiting Opa's when you are in Naples! read more

If you're looking for authentic greek this is a good place. The samplers are good and i loved the moussaka. The gyro's are also strong and so are the kabob's. One huge drawback is the service is slow and the time is take to get your food is excruciating. My recommendation is to order, run all your errands and come back to eat. I really wanted to like this place, but it just didn't work. Spanakopita with yogurt sauce was good. Not great. My wife ordered the mousaka and I had the gyro sandwich . Mousaka was mushy, clearly reheated and not good. I have eaten gyros in cities all over the country. This was close to the bottom of the list. Gyros is really not a Greek dish--invented here in the US. Braised lamb and beef, which can be quite delicious. This wasn't good. I don't think it was how they prepared it, but more to do with the product itself. Sorry. Appears to be a family operation. Maybe it was an off night. read more

So good! We were in the mood for Greek and stumbled on this restaurant and we are so glad we did. Veggie sampler came with Greek salad instead of tabouli, but that was fine. Dips were very yummy. Baba ganoush in particular was excellent. Mediterranean grilled shrimp was flavor and had a great char. My dad spoke highly of his lamb. The rice is basic, but somehow so delicious.
