Had a lovely evening with my partner here at Oran Mor. We came for a special occasion and I'm happy we chose this location to celebrate. The ambiance was intimate and calm -- our waiter was easy to talk to and knowledgeable about the menu. We took his recommendations on drinks and dishes and are happy with the result. If you're on-island and need a good dinner, stop by!

A very good restaurant. Innovative local cuisine using many locally sourced ingredients and an outstanding wine list in a beautiful traditional building. The ladies in our party ordered a white Sancerre that they reported was delicious. Bread arrived that was house baked. We moved on to appetizers. I had the kale Caesar salad, which was quite innovative with tiny toasted bread crumbs, Meyer lemon and light dressing. Another appetizer was the field peas and wildflowers...a tour force! Moving on to mains, halibut, black bass (which was running) plates. On the exotic side was haddock in a tagine. All were perfectly cooked and sauced. Dessert was a very pleasant surprise and everyone was so excited we forgot to take photos, sorry. We had berries and ice cream with house made vanilla and strawberry ice creams. The star dessert was the chocolate donut, which was gluten free because it was made from chocolate mousse!!! Highly recommended!

We had a phenomenal experience here during a friend's bachelorette party. We were seated in their private space on the top floor and our service was amazing. We pre-ordered appetizers and all of our food came out so quickly. We all agreed that the kale Caesar salad was the absolutely best Caesar salad any of us have ever had. I could've eaten just that all night long. I got the fennel pasta and it was wonderful. I was so full from the appetizers that I couldn't even finish it but it was so delicious, and I can't remember what the peppers were called - I had never had that kind of pepper before and they were amazing! They were small, kind of like a grape tomato and were little bursts of flavor. Yummy! The rooftop spritz was an aperol spritz and was delicious. Exactly what I wanted on a warm summer day. Thank you for an incredible experience!

Excellent service here. The oysters were the best bite we had. However the duck felt a bit unbalanced overall and left more to be desired. Drinks were delicious.

One of the best restaurants on Nantucket Island for dinner. The restaurant is dark and cozy that makes you wanna drink some delicious wine while enjoying all their pastas. My go to is always their truffled bucatini with a Parmesan foam, it's delightful. Beat salad is always fresh and never mushy, has beautiful texture and bright flavors. Service is always great and attentive. You can never go wrong with oran mor!

Great ambience. Salad and entree were amazing. Easy to get to. Would come back to try out more items on the menu.

By far my favorite meal on Nantucket and I wish I found this restaurant sooner! A beautiful atmosphere with an interesting, but not over intimidating menu. The staff was extremely friendly and professional and even brought out a few gluten free appetizers for one member of our party when they realized she was left out. I don't have one bad thing to say about this restaurant and we returned the following day just for drinks. A must do if you're on Nantucket and an amazing experience overall.

Very lively. Waitress is very friendly, recommended daily special of raclette. It was a good recommendation. The bison is tender, chicken is tasty. A bit loud inside but conversation can flow nicely.

I thought this was going to be the most spectacular meal of the week. Thought this place was top notch and would be romantic etc. Made our reservation as soon as possible 30 days before the date. My only request was a nice table for two for a special occasion. They stuck us directly in the middle of a loud obnoxious table of 8-10ppl. I gave it a try, but we couldn't even talk to one another. Kindly got up and asked to have our table moved before we ordered. Finally, a table freed up, no problem as we are patient. They sat next us next to an even more obnoxious person annoying the table next him, but he was directly facing us. Kept shouting "Do you want to hear why he is better, we'll do you? He got louder and louder as he repeated it three times b/c the ladies he was directing the question to were ignoring him. I asked him to let it go already, and he reluctantly shut up. As they "re-set" our table the staff would say "here's your silverware-again"."here's your menu -again" once to me and then to my husband with each item. Here's your...again! Give it a rest people. Couldn't wait to get out of there. Losing our appetite by now...ordered beet salad and FENNEL ORECCHIETTE RAPINI, GARLIC, WALNUT & SUNDRIED TOMATO RED PESTO, CANDIED FENNEL SEED & PINENUT, SWEETY DROP PEPPERS. Well something "broke" in this oily mess! I picked out and ate the little peppers and some fennel the rest was trash. Excellent wine and beet salad was good and nothing special. Though and one person on staff was kind, bright and cheery. Blonde hair and a pretty blue turquoise necklace. Let's hope CRU hit's it out of the ballpark tomorrow night!

Terrific meal with attentive service. Upstairs and not accessible, but neither is most of Nantucket.

Our waitress was particularly nice! I wish I got her name to shout her out here. I was recommended here for their lobster roll and it was one of (if not) the best lobster rolls I've ever had. The views are beautiful too!

Unfortunately the outdoor seating was booked (party of 5) so we sat indoors. It was quite busy for dinner. The menu is simple and just right. We ordered SO much food! The clam chowder was too watery for my taste. I'm a fan of thick hearty New England style clam chowder. I liked the onion rings with caviar but the batter took on most of the flavor. Caesar salad had a little twist: no croutons and topped with anchovies. It was yummy. Fish tacos were a hit; we ordered fried instead of grilled. The warm lobster rolls were delicious. I avoid gluten where I can so I got the fish sandwich without a bun. It was crispy on the outside, flaky and soft inside. Coleslaw made it whole. The rosemary fries and cornbread as sides were addicting! Key lime dessert was meh. It was busy but we got the attention we needed. The staff was friendly and had smiles on their faces. Definitely good for fried seafood!!!

A few years ago, someone offered to buy my parking space for $500. (I declined.) There's often live music. (Check local publications or their website for up-to-date schedules.) There are often a number of food trucks present. On our recent visit, we had oysters from Hang Ten (enormous, meaty and sweet, but shucked with a ton of shell shards); tacos, guac and nachos from Millie's; and pizza from Eat Fire Pizza. And of course we had a number of decent beers on tap from Cisco Brewers. They seem to tend towards lightness, minimal hoppiness: good summer brews for warm weather. It's family friendly -- including canine members. Our pup is a seasoned New Yorker and accustomed to crowds, but even she seemed a little frazzled by the press of people at times.

He had told…read moreus how much fun Cisco Brewery was, and that they have great bands...so we Ubered up there on a Saturday. We got there fairly early but the first band had already started, and the area under the tent was already full. We got some drinks, checked out the space and eventually we were able to snag some chairs under the tent. The outside beer area had alcohol drinks as well. 2 of us had tequila drinks, and 2 tried the beers. We were all really happy with our choices. All of the food there came from food trucks, and there were a lot of random vendors, which made it a fun, unique experience! All of our food and drinks were great. I also bought a few hats- the hat selection was really good from the band and the brewery. They also had a shop along with the other vendors who were set up. We stayed longer than expected- the first band (Grateful Dead cover band) was amazing, so we stayed to check out the second band (who were really good also). We eventually gave up our seats under the tent to some very happy people! We will definitely go back to the Cisco brewery the next time we're in Nantucket- it was a great experience all around! Everyone we encountered- whether they worked there, or weee there for fun were very nice and friendly. There was a dance area in front of the stage and people definitely used it - so there was great people watching in a super fun setting!
