Coming in I was greeted by staff, very friendly, service was quick and friendly. The restaurant is nice and clean and very well lit.. it's your typical fast food Chinese restaurant.. food was good. It was great leftover too!

Friendly service, lots options! I got the 3 items plate for $12.99. The lady was very generous with the food and packed me a big heavy plate enough for 2 people. The orange chicken had good flavor and crunchy, eggplant with tofu and mixed veggies, paired well with the fried rice. The food had good flavor, not oily, would order again or even try their family meal for the next family dinner time.

This is supposed to be chow mein string bean with beef- Kung Pao Chicken. Where's the meat I challenge anyone.

1 Star - Disappointing and Deceptive I really wanted to like Orange Chicken, especially with how amazing everything smelled when I walked in. But unfortunately, that's about where the positives end. The restaurant itself is oddly lifeless--there's no color, no atmosphere, and even the food photos on the menu look washed out and unappetizing. That should've been my first clue. When I ordered, the portions looked generous at first, but it quickly became clear it was all an illusion. I tried several dishes--string bean chicken, king pao chicken, and beef and broccoli--and they were all the same: 99% vegetables, barely any meat. They even cut up little vegetables to look like it might be protein when there's barely any. I'm not exaggerating--it was like they were hiding scraps of protein among mountains of soggy green beans and limp broccoli. To make matters worse, the food itself was drying out under heat lamps, giving everything that overcooked, stale texture. It felt like I was being served leftovers from an already disappointing buffet. I'm giving this place 1 star in my mind, and honestly, I don't think places like this should be allowed to continue operating. It feels like a scam: enticing smells, full trays, but nothing of real substance on the plate. Skip it. You--and your wallet--deserve better

every time i come in here- it's always a warm welcome and a smile on their face! the portions are well worth the money, the made-to-order items are FIRE. Please try the salt and pepper shrimp (not pictured here) and their coconut shrimp (in picture)! i came in right as they opened since i woke up craving Orange Chicken Express and i was not disappointed! *a tip: order some sesame balls for a nice sweet bite finale

Chow Mein, Fried Rice, Black Pepper Beef, and Orange Chicken. Could literally feed a family.

I came to Orange Chicken this evening, for a casual, cheap dinner. My family and I have all been to Orange Chicken Express, and I really enjoy the place. I got Combo B, with half and half fried rice and chow mein, and two sides. (Which, I chose black pepper beef, and, of course, orange chicken.) I also got a side of two veggie eggrolls, all for $15. In my opinion, the food is good, and that perfect American Chinese food one craves. It's was quite empty in there, so it was just my mom and I. It's a nice little place, and you can sit down, but I chose not to. The interior is clearly vintage, but not in a bad way. I actually quite enjoy the baby blue tiled walls, and the large mirror covering one of them. The service is always quick and friendly. Not to mention, they absolutely load up the plate. If you want a lot of bang for your buck, I definitely recommend Orange Chicken.

I've see this place every time I go to Super 8 and kept telling myself that I should try the food because I am a fan of orange chicken and I try to support small businesses. So, I finally went in and got a 3-item combo. Like some viral videos on social media, Orange Chicken really packs in a lot of food into the containers (and you don't need to record them like at Chipotle). Of course, I got the orange chicken which was good. Different than Panda but good and less batter. Also got the beef with green beans and the eggplant and tofu with just the chow mien. They're what you expect from a place like Orange Chicken and I'd say a 2-item combo is enough food for two people. I'd focus on the proteins next time as another customer ordered and had to wait for teriyaki chicken which looked good so next time may just be a 2-item combo with chow mien plus orange chicken and teriyaki chicken. Check out my pics of all the food available on my visit (minus the aforementioned teriyaki chicken).

Still a great spot! Used to come here all the time when I was younger. Just moved back to LA and started my business so I thought I'd drop off my business card and grab a plate. I love the noodles and the orange chicken is solid. The one comment I'd make (and this is just personal preference) is I'd love if there was more cabbage in the chow mein. That's just me though! Overall, good food and great portions. Will definitely be coming by more often now that I live here again

this place has always been on my radar but never really had the incentive to try it. but low and behold decided to stop in one day after work and frankly i'm kind of sad i didn't stop by earlier. place is ran by a friendly group of people who really know how to serve you. if you're hungry, they will hook you up. ain't no skimping here. the biggest shocker for me was the fried rice. it tasted very similar to restaurant quality and i would have never guessed it came out of a takeout joint in a strip mall. all in all, solid food. large quantities and great taste, and this is coming from an abc who grew up in the 626.

maggots found in broccoli and beef
    Samantha P.

I've been coming here for years, but unfortunately I won't be anymore. I found maggots in my food, which was so shocking and upsetting. I've never had an issue with the food or service until now. After noticing the maggots in my beef and broccoli, I went back the same day to show them the plate. They offered to give me another plate of food, but I kindly declined and asked for a refund instead. The employee who always greeted me so nicely when I walked in gave me a really nasty attitude when I asked for a refund. Not once was I rude or disrespectful when explaining the situation, but one of the employees got angry and yelled at me for something that wasn't even my fault (even threw the money on the counter). Anyway, I'm extremely disappointed, and even more so with the way the interaction was handled.

We LOVED our waitress. She explained each dish as well as gave some history which was much appreciated by our aunties and uncles. We ordered the jellyfish salad, chili tofu skin salad, dynasty jar soup, crispy shrimp, braised abalone & sea cucumber, steamed thornyhead fish, black pepper honey angus beef, braised pork belly, bokchoy with morel mushroom, pea sprouts with mushroom, chive pockets, and the assorted 8 desserts. My favorites were the jellyfish salad, chili tofu skin salad, braised abalone & sea cucumber, crispy shrimp, and steamed thornyhead fish! I would definitely order those again in the future. Everything tasted fresh, clean, and delicious. Presentation was beautiful! Next time, I'll keep in mind the following things. They have a lot of tables inside so it is great for small and large groups. The waiters were also fast even though they were busy. We ordered their Kung Pao Chicken, Fried Tofu, Beef Noodle, Shrimp w Walnut, and Vegetable w Garlic. We decided not to get lobster since it was pricey. They took our order pretty fast and gave tea to drink. The pot of white rice is extra $1 if you order though. And their menu book doesn't have prices for some reason. Only the to-go menu has prices. Food was served in a decent amount of time, around 15 minutes. And all dishes arrived close together so we didn't have to wait long. The kung pao chicken is so good! Not spicy at all and very nice and crispy with good seasoning. It tasted delicious with some rice. The beef noodles were also delicious! It had good wok taste and was very flavorful. The tofu and shrimp were also good. None of the dishes were too salty and all were seasoned well and in pretty big portions, though I don't remember the exact price since they took the receipt away when we paid. But the meal was very worth and we had leftovers for lunch the next day. Such a yummy meal! I really enjoyed it! I am definitely coming back again!

My family and I used to religiously eat lobster noodles whenever we made a trip down to SoCal. The pick of the bunch was 100% Newport Seafood- no negotiations, no contemplations. Unfortunately, the last handful of times have left me extremely disappointed and heavily annoyed. The cost and wait times do not reflect what is actually being provided and most of our food ends up being left behind because it simply isn't worth the calories. In all honestly, I've grown a phobia w/ that specific restaurant at this point because of the countless letdowns. My initial taste of Boston Lobster was about 3 years ago and I had the most enjoyable meal. Due to our LA trip coming to an end, my BD thought we should do it big with some lobster noodles- for good old time's sake. I absolutely refused to go anywhere unless we would be giving Boston Lobster a visit! Sure enough, they did not disappoint! Dinner for 3 adults and 1 toddler consisted of: *Boston House Special Lobster [no spice] + Garlic Noodles for an additional fee. Medium Size 5-6lbs minimally. *French Style Beef Cube *Sauteed Snow Pea Leaves We ate like mf'n KINGS!! Each and every dish was spectacular- even the greens! While we should have gone with the small sized lobster, I'm proud to say we went down with an honorable fight. Lmao!! The lobster was cooked to perfection- meat was sweet, succulent, and so darn tender. The garlic noodles soaked up all of the delicious lobster flavors and were not overcooked and mush. The bo luc lac was flavorful, juicy, and complimented the bed of lettuce, onions, & tomatoes so well. The snow pea leaves weren't tough and old- this truly was a simply yet magical dish. Service was on point and the staff continually came by to swap out our plates full of lobster shells. Above all, there was no wait with our initial arrival. Parking is easy given the fact that BL has a pretty big parking lot specifically for them. 5/5 stars!! We dropped over 3 bills here and it didn't even hurt. Lmao- this place is that damn good! Don't sleep on this joint, y'all. Boston Lobster is the real deal when it comes to authentic Chinese/Vietnamese cuisine. This spot should be so much more hyped than it actually is!

Hunan Style Fried Pork-- it looks intimidating but the chilis are the fragrant kind!! Super mild baby spice, not like eating serranos. Super good flavor, wok hei is there, definitely getting again Stir Fried Pork Belly-- Similar to Hunan style but instead of chilis it's ... onion. There's so much onion. We just picked out the meat. Stir fry dry bean curd with pork-- Look I know it's not the most appetizing looking or all that in terms of color palette.. BUT IT IS GOOOOD! Not all restaurants can make a good tofu dish but wow this is amazing. The flavor profile reminds me of that bean curd appetizer at din tai fung with the seaweed strips and bean sprouts. It's savory, slightly vinegary, meat is really tender and the tofu texture just goes sooo well with everything. Fried squid in three flavor sauce-- WARNING!! There's the clear squid bone (?) attached so make sure you pull it out !!! Flavor wise it's my first time having a sanbei dish that wasn't chicken. It's good though! Stir Fry Fish Fillet in Spicy Sauce-- Super soft fish and it comes with tofu too. Flavor is kind of like mapo tofu? It's good with rice!! No complaints 10/10 had a great time, love the price, and definitely will be coming back. There's a big parking lot too!

The noodles, braised tofu, mayonnaise shrimp, and the veggies were good, but the star is the duck. Make sure to order the duck ahead to ensure they'll have it ready for you when you arrive. If you've tried Peking duck at other locations and liked it, come here and try it for yourself. You will not be disappointed. Best duck I've ever had.

The Peking duck was excellent. The skin was thin and crispy, the meat was juicy, and I loved that…read morethey deboned the duck. The pancakes were thin and perfectly chewy. The sweet and sour pork was unfortunately a disaster. The pork was sliced paper-thin--so thin that it felt like I was mostly eating batter with barely any meat. I was also disappointed they took the sweet and sour fish off the menu because that dish was amazing a few months ago. The five-color noodles were light, clean, and refreshing. The pork elbow was delicious with a fun, tender texture. The fish maw soup was very good and comforting, though it could have used a little more seasoning. Other than that, it was delicious. The steamed sea bass with soy sauce was incredibly soft and fragrant--a definite must-order. The scallops with vermicelli noodles were another hit: fresh, clean flavors and perfectly cooked scallops. My only suggestion would be to cut the noodles, as they came in one big clump and were difficult to serve. We ordered the beef fried rice but were given lamb instead. It was a bit gamier than expected, but still tasty. The black fungus with tofu was also excellent--well seasoned and full of flavor. Overall, there were a few misses, but the Peking duck, sea bass, scallops, pork elbow, and black fungus with tofu made the meal worth coming back for.
