Unfortunately had to modify my review. Went in for a screen repair and the camera no longer worked. I took it to a closer shop when that screen cracked and they pointed out that a component of the camera simply hadn't been plugged back in when the first screen was replaced. read more

This place is horrible. Had my iPhone screen fixed and when I got it back it no longer vibrates when ringing or on silent. Even worse I dropped my phone again and the top part of my screen broke. They gave me a screen protector with the first fix I had with them which obviously did no good. Anyways I went back to them cause it's been a week since they fixed it. They pretty much said to bad we don't care but hey instead of 80 bucks we will charge you 50. Totally rude about it to. I said **** off and left. Don't go here. Orange County Computer Repair was recommended to me and I tried them for the first time yesterday. My Acer laptop was dead. Freddy tested the cord first and that was the problem. So he told me exactly what to order and I did. I decided to take it back there today to get a new battery for it because it always needs to be plugged in...the battery wasn't holding a charge at all. He took the battery out to get the model # so he could order me a new one. He gave me some options, put the battery back in and the computer turned on. No new battery needed! He checked the health of the battery and it was fine. He gave me some helpful tips and sent me on my way. Freddy was super helpful and really honest. He didn't sell me a thing because I didn't need anything. Glad I found them! I will definitely use them them for all our computer or phone repairs from now on! read more

I search thoroughly for a seemingly trustable company to take my computer to that was nearby. I remember when these guys moved in down the street from me. I called a few other places before these guys due to the 3 star review and the date of past reviews. I gave them a call and spoke with Daniel who seemed like he was really going to try and help me out. So I dropped off my computer that day so they could run diagnostics to asses the problem. The problem with the PC: I recently started streaming on twitch.tv. And during mid stream my computer would completely power off. Now I know this wasn't a problem with the CPU or GPU because I've had heating problems with those before and they NEVER shut the computer off completely. So my next thought was: it has to be the PSU (power supply unit). Enter OC repair: I bring it in and mention the phone call and how I spoke with Daniel, who is the person I'm talking to at the shop. It's almost like I'm talking to a completely different person and we never had the phone conversation *I JUST MADE* moment ago because I rushed over since they were about to close. So I drop it off and leave and get a call the next day. After I told them all of this and what I'm pretty sure is wrong with it, they address my video card and CPU saying they'll clean both add thermal paste to the CPU and stress test it. Maybe they did clean out the video card but I'm certain they never touched my CPU because I know how much of a hassle it is to get to it, you need to remove the entire mobo to remove the H50 cooler as the screws are on the other side. (My friend who made the PC for me informed me of this) I walked in to pick it up and their stress test was a un-strenuous non CPU/ non-graphical heavy scene in AC4 out on the open ocean (where it's just water) vs being in Havana(a busy city where much processing is taking place). (Geek stuff) Paid around $60+ Results: I get home start streaming and poof, couple hours in, it kicks off again. Hence, dirty video card wasn't the problem. I call them back right away and tell them it's still going on. The person I'm speaking to tells me to either buy a new CPU or stop streaming. Again: (-_-) the CPU isn't the problem.... All in all, the trip was a waste of time and money. 2 stars (instead of one) for quick service Spoke to a friend who knows his way around computers and said I'm correct and that it's the power supply. So these guys are only getting 1 star for fixing my MacBook Pro with a quick turnaround-it needed a hard drive replacement. It was a small issue that was fairly reasonable. However, their customer service is severely lacking as I had to call them to find out if they were done with the diagnosis and I had to call them to find out if it was ready. WTH? My husband's computer went in at the same time but had a bigger issue. It wasn't a priority but they finally figured out what was wrong-I called them rather then them calling me-and they said they could fix it. We said to move forward but again, it wasn't a priority but we did want it fixed. Weeks passed, months passed. Obviously we could've called to find out what the problem was but we have 2 kids, jobs, life, etc and it just wasn't top of mind. I finally got around to calling them. After being on hold for over a solid 5 minutes, I hung up and called back an hour later. Come to find he couldn't find the computer. He said he needed to check the warehouse but because it was Friday, he wouldn't be able to find out until Tuesday. He hinted that they might have gotten rid of it because it had been so long. Wait, what? You NEVER called me to tell me it was ready or unfixable and to come and get it and just got rid of it? He kept talking over me saying that it had been so long (yes, we know this!) and trying to make it seem like it was my fault. How do you potentially get rid of someone's personal property-damaged or not-without trying to get in touch with them first?! Nothing has been solved yet, will be calling them once again to find out if they have it. Fingers crossed! Will update! read more

Local shop on Farquhar and Los Alamitos Blvd hooked me up with a new battery and Apple cord for $80!! No Apple Store multi hour wait or AT&T trying to break it off in me knowing I'm in a bind. Finally on Thursday I went back in and they said it maybe this or that but we don't know. I asked why they never called me back and they said because they wanted to have good news first. My sound on my IPhone was muffled and 2 days again I broke my screen. I went to a Mac store in Seal Beach, they quoted me $160 to get my cracked screen fixed (said they could maybe fix my sound) and needed me to approve on another $300 just in case there was more damage. I decided that sounded too expensive and left. On my way home I remembered I had gotten my screen fixed years ago for a decent price at this place. I went in and Joe helped me out, he got my screen and sound fixed in 30 minutes for less then what the Mac store quoted me. He also answered a few questions I had about why my phone wouldn't back up to my computer properly. He was much more helpful than any Apple Store I had been in. Do Not come here unless you want your cracked iTouch to be even more messed up then when you brought it in. They charged me $20 less than the Apple store quoted me and because they have no idea what they are doing the glue they used seeped into the power button which is now inoperable. So to save $20 I had to spend $300 for a new iTouch. Moral of the story you get what you pay for go to the professionals not these up selling tech inept's. read more

Great job!! My laptop wouldn't boot. Took it in for the free diagnostic which confirmed my fear that the hard drive had been damaged. They installed a new drive, reloaded Windows and Office, and salvaged and transferred my data to the new drive. Basically, I got a new computer for less than $300. Will definitely go back! read more
