The Mother's Day brunch was excellent, out waiter was Leif and he was absolutely amazing. He made our experience that much better!

Orange County Mining Company is a steakhouse on the border of Orange and Santa Ana that's most known for its views of Orange County. I came here with my wife for their Thanksgiving brunch buffet as they had prime rib, crab legs, turkey, and a bunch of other items for $55/per person. They have a similar offering on Sundays and it's apparently pretty popular. Servers were kind and the old California mining ambiance has its own charm that I generally liked. It gives the feels from my favorite parts of Knotts Berry Farm, Big Thunder Mountain, and Splash Mountain. While I got my money's worth of crab legs, salad, menudo, prime rib, turkey, and Dr. Pepper refills, there were a lot of things that didn't impress. 1) They had menudo with all the toppings you'd want; however, it was hard to find a clean bowl near that section. Considering that we had a table near the beginning of brunch service, I felt that this was a red flag. 2) The prime rib was very, very overcooked. It was well-done and sliced very thin. There was one time that the attendant was slicing it a little thicker, and someone in the next station exclaimed for him to cut it "mas pinche chico". 3) It got pretty busy around 12:30p-1:00p, which is fine; however, what made it slightly annoying was the food was not thoughtfully arranged. Turkey, gravy, cranberry sauce, stuffing, and mashed potatoes were spread out in opposite corners, which made many of their elderly patrons dig around for an endless scavenger hunt of side dishes. 4) Pies and desserts reminded me of the spread from your local supermarket. 5) Coffee was watery. Pancakes and Waffles were thin and cooked very quickly, served pale and without any color. Overall, the food in the thanksgiving brunch was not something that I'd recommend. While they have a similar meal on Sundays, I'd honestly prefer less options that are done better. I felt that this is reminiscent of what you'd find at an old Vegas buffet at an off-strip resort. I did get my money's worth, and I was appreciative that I was able to get my thanksgiving fixings. Given the basic issues that I had with this meal, I don't expect to come back for dinner.

I came here on a Wednesday night with two friends and had a really lovely time - I had no expectations coming in, so I was so surprised to see a high quality salad and soup bar (unlimited too!!), which served as a great appetizer. The soup I got was the cream of prime rib, which was admittedly quite salty but I assume that's to discourage people drinking too much of it in one go. We also got the cornbread, which came with three types of toppings on the side. I especially enjoyed the sweet cream. We all ordered steak as well, which came with a nice side of cheese bread. I ordered the 14oz ribeye steak (for only $49!!), which was quite easy to cut and was delicious to boot. I only ended up eating about half and was able to easily box the rest. Overall I think this is such a hidden gem and honestly would prefer to come here over Orange Hill which is nearby in the area. The value is so good, plus we got good views of the city and the sunset. Lastly our waiter did a fantastic job. I forgot her name but I will not forget her bubbly personality!

We celebrated our annual birthday Sunday brunch at Orange County Mining Company in Tustin, and it was absolutely fantastic. The food was amazing, and the service was outstanding. Our server, Belen, was a true ray of sunshine--warm, attentive, and sensational in every way. Last year we had Kennedi, and this year we were blessed with her bestie, Belen. Ask for either one when you go! Thank you, Belen--10 stars out of 5 for an unforgettable brunch!

Happy to have discovered this place due to my cousin in-laws bday! To be honest, this place gives me old school claim jumper's vibes, and I mean that in the best way possible. Plus a great view! I thought everything was decently priced for the amount of food that you get. We ordered the coconut beer shrimp as an appetizer and I got the 14oz ribeye as my entree. Each entree comes with access to the soup and salad bar, a side, and garlic cheese bread for the table! The shrimp were good, and I tried the clam chowder and made a salad. Their chili was a hit! My ribeye was cooked perfectly medium rare and I got it with the broccolini. My husband ordered the "huge one pounder" prime rib, and it was huge! Also cooked perfectly medium rare and they have raw horseradish if you ask. We tried the silver nuggets for dessert, which was a chocolate chip cookie with ice cream on top. Our servers were kind and attentive. Overall a positive experience!

Came for a family celebration; none of us had ever been here... From entrance to exit the service was exceptional. Lalla was extraordinarily spectacular! The ambiance/underground mining decor (awesome throughout,) killer views (!) ... and then the food! Chicken Picatta, Prime Rib and Filet Mignon were exceptional. Our only regret is not being aware of this sooner!

We dine here once in a while but it has been a few years. This visit was for a small family gathering to celebrate a birthday. The reservation was for 7pm and the parking lot was already full, but the valet had no line and I think the cost was $9. I definitely recommend making a reservation on OpenTable as the restaurant can get very busy, especially on the weekend. After a brief wait, we were seated in a booth by the window with the usual great view. Unfortunately, squeezing six of us into a booth instead of seating us at a table was definitely a tight fit. If you have dined here before, you always look forward to the big salad bar. They have moved it from its own big room to a smaller area in the main dining area. I don't remember what is missing from the larger area but it seems like many of the same salad bar items are still available. Our server brought a basket of their cheese bread which was good. I think the bread slices are smaller than they used to be but you can always ask for more. The table shared two orders of the spinach artichoke dip. It was surprisingly bland with very little flavor. It was served with very ordinary white, red, and green rainbow tortilla chips. The dip should be the star of the show, not the gimmicky rainbow tortilla chips. At least the entrees were better. My "Miner's Filly" filet mignon was cooked to a perfect medium rare plus with blue cheese crumbles and sliced mushrooms. It tasted great but obviously the mushrooms came from a can. I don't think I have ever been served canned mushrooms on a steak at any restaurant. The fire roasted chicken breast was cooked well and the BBQ sauce was good. The broccolini on both plates was fresh and cooked well. We skipped dessert but our server brought a complementary dessert for the birthday girl which was nice. Score: 3.5 stars rounded down to 3 stars. This visit was definitely subpar.

Great ambiance , dessert , ribeye steak and Mac n cheese was so delish. I definitely would like to recognize Diamond for being a great hospitable friendly attentive server Service was amazing as always. Great for bdays , anniversary or just a sweet dinner with your friends and loved ones . So if you're in the Orange Hills area in OC come check them out and it's a great view that you can enjoy the sunset .

We came on a Wednesday night and it was a great evening. There was a banquet going on in one of their rooms but the restaurant itself was mellow. We were able to hear the music that played softly and not feel like we had to yell to talk to each other. We planned this date because we found their ad online for a dinner for 2 for $80. This came with 2 14 oz NY steaks with one side, a trip to the salad and soup bar, and a bottle of champagne. When we got there, they told us the offer had ended days before on Sunday. However, without asking, our server talked to the manager and they honored it for us that night. Talk about great service! We both got our steaks medium rare and they came out beautifully. Probably one of the best NY steaks I've had! The Mac n cheese was delicious, there is a stronger smell/taste and we couldn't tell if it was the cheddar or if there was Parmesan in it. Again, not a bad thing, just something to note if you have a sensitive nose. Our server was great, Karen was very kind, knowledgeable about the restaurant as a whole (we had a couple questions to holding events there), and fun to joke with. Although there were a few hiccups like we got our bread at the end of dinner (to me, I understand since we asked for the Mac n cheese to come out as an appetizer) and they had to upgrade the champagne bottle from the original deal (at no extra charge) because they ran out of the other brand, it was really a perfect night. My boyfriend and I prefer to not be asked how things are every 5 minutes like other restaurants do. Overall, we loved our experience here and are planning our next trip to do the Sunday Brunch for my birthday!

Came here for Mother's Day brunch. All of the staff were really nice from the valet to the waiter. There were beautiful views overlooking Orange County. We normally go to the Pomona valley mining company, but we had such a bad experience with their horrible staff and management that we decided to drive a bit farther and try this spot. All in all the food was pretty much the same. Looooved the crab legs. Shrimp was ok and so were the ribs and salad. Salmon was delish. I have to say I thought it was annoying that they split the food in separate rooms. I got French toast in one room and had to go to the other room for syrup and pancakes and other breakfast items. That didn't make sense to any of us. We had a great waiter Leif who was fun. He was very attentive kept the bottomless mimosas flowing and really made our time at this restaurant enjoyable. In conclusion, this place was just like Pomona, but the service was top tier. I don't think it's worth the drive from LA, but I will do anything for my mom so if she wants to come back next year, I will be here.

I love our date nights here! The food is always great! The service is amazing! And they always have good deals! I really like the salad bar, they have a lot to choose from and great soups offered! We will be back again for another date night

Logistics: Wait time: we made reservations on open table and we even rescheduled to a later time they were super accommodating I will say, it can be a bit hard to find the first time you go, you drive up kind of a steep hill and will almost wonder if you're going the wrong way. I'll say if you are taking the canyon road, after you make a right at the gas station, you'll go into the first driveway on your left (you might have to make a u turn at the first available left) Parking: Easy. Valet was affordable and right near the front. Their service was also amazing the valet greeted me with mining energy and a howdy. I loved it. Valet is $9 and ideal for me since I can't walk super far Food: We ordered the: - filet and scampi - - prime rib and scampi - prime rib was PERFECT! Horseradish was I believe made from scratch - rib eye and broccolini - I love a marbled ribeye. The steaks are good, but if you've eaten at The Ranch - ranch steaks are better, I did need a bit of A1 -The bread - cheesy bread, yummy but you gotta pace yourself or else you'll get too full. Our favorite part?? The salad bar Buffets have not been the same since Covid, this salad bar was sizzler throwback, fresh vegetables, the best dressings, all the toppings They even gave my friend a birthday chocolate mousse cake- it was the perfect yum They only serve Pepsi products... sad face. I love a Diet Coke Cocktails: My friend ordered a dirty martini - she said she liked it An overall fun and beautiful experience to celebrate my friend and bring visitors to. Also loved our server, she was solicitous and food came out quickly

Amazing service which if I could have separate ratings, I would rate 5 stars. Reason for 3 is because food was ok but not worth the price. Amazing view from both inside and out. Sever was generous to change drink after not liking the first that was offered.

We were seated promptly at our reservation time of 7:15pm. The restaurant is gorgeous and sits on a hill overlooking the city of Orange. During the summer, there is a breathtaking view of the sunset right at dinnertime. Our server was Ailyn, who was such a sweetheart. She took amazing care of us and went above and beyond to provide us excellent service. Complimentary cornbread is provided, served with a drizzle of honey, Himalayan sea salt, and a cayenne infused butter. The butter is so good and really makes the cornbread shine. I had the "Paid Vacation" cocktail, served in a glass ball swinging on a crescent moon shaped hanger. Everything about this drink from its presentation to its flavors was loud, fun, and summery. You are given a Szechuan flower to nibble on before sipping your drink, numbing your tongue with a mala tingling sensation. The drink itself is vodka based with passionfruit. I loved the tropical taste and playful presentation. This drink is one of four "main character" cocktails that one would order if one desired the attention of the entire room. And it was my birthday, so of course I did. For our appetizers, we got the caviar frites and crispy rice tuna tartare. The caviar frites were perfectly crispy and seasoned. I loved the accompaniments such as the vodka creme fraiche and dollops of caviar. The crispy rice tuna tartare was plated beautifully. The tuna was fresh and spicy, and I loved the crispy rice on the bottom. At this point in our meal, Ailyn advised us to take pictures with the gorgeous sunset on the patio while we waited for our entrees. A small handful of people were doing the same. The sunset was especially breathtaking from our vantage point. I could see every layer of the rainbow embedded in the blazing California sky. I had the filet mignon and added an Atlantic lobster tail. The filet was so tender and juicy. The lobster tail was cooked perfectly. I really liked the side of 50/50 mashed potatoes as well. The mash was extremely creamy and the crispy bits of potato "hay" on top were delicious. I had a lovely experience at Orange Hill. I would definitely come back.

As you walk in, they have a small bridge path that has Koi Fish underneath the water. We had made a reservation, so the wait was only 5 minutes. The place is simply decorated, nothing stood out, but the view was awesome. The Corn bread was nothing to brag about. We all ordered the steaks, and they were not bad. They have some fancy drinks, but after a couple of drinks not remember the names of them. Our main complaint was that the area we sat in the AC went out, and they said it was on. NO IT WASN'T. They have inside and outside seating . Not a bad place if you like the best view of the city.

On the day of the wedding, everything went off without a hitch. The staff's attention to detail was truly commendable. Every element--from the setup to the timing of the events--was thoughtfully managed, and everything flowed smoothly throughout the entire evening. The pricing was fair, especially considering the quality of service and the beautiful setting. The food was absolutely delicious, and many of our guests commented on how much they enjoyed the meal. What truly stood out, however, was the ambiance. The venue itself is absolutely stunning and created the perfect atmosphere for such a special occasion. It felt elegant, warm, and magical all at once. My daughter's wedding was everything we hoped it would be and more. It was a truly unforgettable day, and I cannot thank The Hacienda enough for helping make it so perfect.

During that time, I made multiple phone calls and sent several emails, but unfortunately, I never received a response. Because of the complete lack of communication, we've decided to look elsewhere for a wedding venue. First impressions matter, and if a venue cannot respond to a prospective client who is simply trying to schedule a tour and receive a quote, it raises serious concerns about the level of service they provide throughout the planning process. While I can't speak to the quality of their events, I can speak to my experience as a potential customer, which was disappointing. Based on the lack of communication alone, I would not recommend this venue to other brides or families looking for a reliable and responsive wedding team.

The service was outstanding--attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. What makes this place special is that there's no traditional cocktail menu. When making reservations a $25 deposit is required per person but will be applied to your bill day of visit. The hostess was very kind upon check in and took us to the back where the 46 door is. She provided us a code and explained the time limit along with house rules. We were then told to knock on the door and proceed with the experience. Kudos to the owner as this is the only speakeasy in the OC that has a true speakeasy feel entrance. They had a gentleman open the peephole and ask for the entry code. Once we said the code we entered a really cool mine shaft area. The attention to detail was on point and I was impressed! We were then taken upstairs to a private bar where there are four tables of four so a max of 16. This makes sense as to why reservations are hard to come by. The only ding about seating is you are sat with strangers it is not a private table. Luckily we had a fun older couple at our table so it made the conversation more lively. Otherwise don't go here with an expectation of an intimate/ private date night. They also offer a limited food menu but looked very promising. However, we were here for a night cap so just dabbled in drinks. The bartender had a seasonal menu of 4 cocktails he created. He explained the drinks and then had us try each one with a straw. We then placed our order based on what we liked. He did say if we were not a fan he could create us our own personal cocktail as well. The old fashion he created was phenomenal! Overall, a cool little spot in the OC. Do wish they were open later as they do close at 11pm on Friday and Saturday.
