If it was possible to give less stars, I would. This was the WORST experience we have ever had on a golf course. To start, the course itself was mediocre at best when it comes to being manicured. Especially on the green where almost every hole had lifted grass around the rim which caused what should have been a no question success into a 1-2 additional putts. The golf cart girl showed up on hole 4 and then never again. This is FLORIDA and it was over 100 degrees with heat index and let's not stop there...their was NO phone service on the course so when you were supposed to be able to call and order food...jokes on you. Least to say God forbid you had an emergency and there is no way to get a call out (we tried on both of our phones and have different service providers). The only good thing which was not a reflection of Orange Lake Golf and just a reflection of the Ranger as a person was him running into us around hole 9 and we told him about the phone service/inability to order food and he came back and found us and brought us a few snacks to help us make it through until we left. I would highly recommend avoiding this course and playing somewhere that actually takes care of their course and is making sure all of their golfers are staying fed and hydrated during weather where it is VERY easy to have a heat stroke if you are not properly hydrated and have had food to keep your energy levels strong. read more

There was a time 10-15 years ago when this was a wonderful timeshare, so it's sad to see the location going to hell. Orange Lake Resort - The Reserve Course I had my doubts after reading through some reviews, and I'll be honest--they weren't wrong about the tee boxes. They're rough. Patchy, uneven, and definitely in need of some TLC. That said, once you get past your opening shot, the course has plenty to offer. The greens? In good shape but slow. You really have to be aggressive with the flat stick here--leave it short, and you'll be kicking yourself. Fair warning: this is not an easy course. It demands accuracy off the tee, smart iron play, and a little creativity around the greens. It's challenging in the best way, which made the round more fun. The setting is pure Central Florida resort golf. Orange-roofed timeshares line many of the fairways, and while that takes away a little from the "escape" feel, it's part of the charm of playing inside a resort community. The Reserve is tucked within the larger Orange Lake property, so the pro shop is actually located in their marketplace area. Heads up: mid-round snacks and drinks are not budget-friendly. A few highlights: * Value: $38 for today's round is a steal for what you get. * Pace of Play: 4 hours on the dot, with just enough space between groups to feel relaxed but not held up. * Staff: Range crew and course staff were friendly and visible throughout the round. Could the course use some love? Absolutely. Tee boxes need fixing, and the greens could be tightened up. But for the price, the challenge, and the overall experience, this round was more than worth it. We'll be back--next time I'll be eyeing the Legends Course to compare. I've been coming here since 2000. As a college age student and a young adult I've always been to focused on parks and doing things with family now that I'm an adult I wanted to play golf. I can seriously say I am beyond disappointed. I played a local course 5 miles down the road and it was nothing like this. The Ranger tried to tell me that they were having struggles with the temperature, but I felt like I was being blatantly lied to since the course down the street was in very nice condition. Had a decent experience here. Played the Reserve in February, and played it last year as well at the same time. Tee boxes were in noticeably worse shape than they were last year. Fairways and greens were better. One irritation is that we had range balls with our round, and the pro shop is a considerable distance from the range. When we got to the range, the Ranger said we needed a coupon from the pro shop for the ball machine. Because of the distance back to the pro shop and the limited time we had, we weren't able to get a coupon and return to the range in time for a pre-round warmup. Highly irritating. Pro shop should ask every guest about whether they want range balls - or at least have the 'coupon' issue clearly posted at the pro shop register. Questionable whether I will return, despite the reasonable rates. read more

Great course. Excellent challenge the rates were extremely affordable and the MARSILIO and accommodating.

This review is specifically for the driving range and not for the course as I haven't yet played on the course. The driving range uses toptracer, which is really nice and allows for specific play scenarios. I have to say, though, that some of the bays need some love, especially when it comes to the ball release mechanism. The menu is ok although it could be revamped quite a bit. As far as the staff -- they're all lovely. From the employee in the pro shop to the range picker to the server, everyone was kind and helpful. All in all, I had a good experience and I'll likely be back although I do feel some improvements could take this place to a new level! read more

We played cranes bend 3 n4 pars exec course, 9 holes.. Greens, tee boxes and fairways all in good condition s - except a little wet in places as is typical of courses near lakes in Florida..staff were professional and polite. Service was good. We also did the top tracer bay at driving range for an hour earlier in the week bay 6 worked flawlessly-- great experience it has ability to play courses virtually and other games.. $30 for 1 hour before 4pm . unlimited balls upto 4 per bay food and beverage service 40 ft away -- I recommend all to try it . It gives you a read on distance of carry and loft etc . You can set up a profile on line to search for tee times at the multiple courses, top tracer bays- and even schedule a 1 hour lesson. We were looking to play a quick 9 and this place was close. We called and make a tee time for the cranes. A 9 hole course with 6 - yes 6 - par 3s. The employees here are not on the same page. The gentleman on the phone did not relay the same message as the man at the desk. Who himself was disbarred by the employee who helped us out back. Each employee spoke very poorly of the previous person we had spoke to... not a good look. Overall, we paid for an extra set up clubs they didn't want to let us use, then accused us of losing clubs, but found out (upon my pointer) that we had enough clubs but these were woman's clubs and their were no hybrids..... overall, the price was steep for an advanced putt-putt course ran by angry clowns who aren't on the same page. read more

We stayed at the resort for a week and found a morning to play 9 holes with my son. The staff was so friendly and we had the course to ourselves. Price was reasonable and they had clubs for myself and jr clubs to rent. Fun views of the water and greens were maintained. Highly recommend if you have down time from Disney world. read more

The Reserve Course at Orange Lake is a great value for a very playable layout, a real variety of holes on this course. Purchased a 4 Round Multi Pass card good for 2 rounds at the Reserve Course and 2 at the Legends Course for $266.26, good anytime any day. Played as an early morning threesome in 3 hours 44 minutes with no waits on any holes. The fairways are in very good shape and bound to improve as they are over seeding the next 2 days, the greens roll true. A great value! read more

Played the Legend in late March. It was in terrible condition. There was no grass in the fairways and the greens were sandy and bumpy. Not worth the $150 it cost to play there. Contacted the clubhouse to complain and was told the head pro would contact me. That never happened. Definitely do not recommend playing here. read more

VERY UNKEMPT course that had so many broken tees on the tee boxes that you practically needed a broom at each location just to make a clean enough spot to stand in, much less find a spot to tee up your Golf ball. The WORST pro shop uncaring, lackadaisical, cashier that ever existed! I arrived at the tee time person to find out that if you want to warm up on the driving range you had to purchase tokens back at the pro shop. Therefore, no warm up and quickly paired with people that I shouldn't have been paired up with. A 'Ranger' that just drove around to sight see and bask in the sun as it took over five hours to play 'The Reserve' course. No caring what so ever when we mentioned that the foursome in front of us was so slow, and bottle-necked in front of them. A cart 'girl' that talked AT you with a whole lot of disrespect and tried to push you off the wooden bridges if even if you were the first one onto it with the right of way. Definitely NOT worth the absurd $ that they ask to be treated in this fashion to play a round of 'Golf.'! read more

2.5 stars for an average course for a decent price. My friend invited me out to play golf last weekend. Since he lives down near Disney, we usually check out the Disney courses since they have great Orlando resident deals. However, he suggested we give Reserve at Orange Lake, which is located off 192 in Kissimmee, a try. We arrived at the course (which involves going through a security gate and takes a little bit of searching to find) close to our 8am tee time. We went up, checked in (only $25 right now) and grabbed our cart to head out to the course. While the cart attendants were generally friendly, the golf carts themselves are nothing special, the paths have fairly poor drainage (we drove through some HUGE puddles) and the range ball machine seemed like it was older than I am. While not a huge deal for a $25 course, it didn't come close to its Disney competition. In terms of the course setup, the venue provides a map of each hole. While this is generally helpful, our golf app gave us much more accurate distance readings, and the map was often incorrect about the location of tee boxes (pretty sure Hole 5 and Hole 6 were switched) and hazards. Since the course is off of a resort full of condos, many of the holes are fairly narrow or literally border the back porch of several condos. Several condo owners actually chatted with us as we played, which was fun sometimes, but also a little nerve racking (especially when one guy told us that there are cameras watching to see if our balls broke any windows). In terms of the quality of the course, most of the holes were between average to sub-par (no pun intended). While the grass and landscaping was better than many of your cheaper public options, there was trash in many of the forest hazards, the grass for some parts of the rough was often waayyyy too high, and there were some instances of dirt patches in putting greens. None of this caused much problems with our play (although we did lose some balls in the high grass), it once again didn't come close to its Disney competition. However, this place did have a beer girl with $5 beers, so that at least is a plus in this course's column. Overall, the Reserve at Orange Lake is an acceptable golf course with decent holes and decent prices. However, if you are an Orlando resident or don't mind paying a little more for better quality golf, I'd recommend looking at other venues in the Kissimmee area. read more

Played there yesterday and was Surely disappointed.. where do o start, the fairways was hard, tee boxes was all chewed up especially on the par 3s .. greens was very sandy and well cared for. I have played at this course in the past and was very pleasurable and in very good condition, But I could of went somewhere else and paid less with the course on better condition. $120 for a round of golf is very expensive for Florida standards but to have played the course in this condition was a big let down I will play at the PGA Orange County. read more

We selected this golf course because we got a very good rate off of group golfer.com. My friend Dirk played here years ago and said it was a decent course so for the $29 we paid he said it was a good deal. When we first drove into the resort we follow the signs but it said the golf course was in the marketplace? We parked in the lot and walked around the back to find where the starter location was with the golf carts. It was very cheesy and not very impressive. We walked in five the marketplace to find the front counter where you could buy small grocery items as well as pay for your golf round. Next we received our golf carts and kind of laughed at the look of everything. We asked for some ice in the cooler since it was bare. We drove to the putting green to warm up before our round things seem OK so far. We then checked in with the starter as he said there were two groups a head of us. We decided to jump a head of the lower players and this was huge since we had a lot of holes that were empty ahead of us. The course was in average to below average shape since there were a lot of dead spot on the fairways and some greens. I am not sure if this course has gone downhill over the years since I have not played here before but I definitely would not spend more than $20-$30 on a round. read more

The reserve is a solid golf coarse. Located at Orange lake resort. I golfed 1/2 of the coarse. It was nice. It's not the nicest coarse I have been to in FL but it's def a nice coarse. They have a restaurant and a pro shop. The driving range is open later than the last tee of the day. At Orange lake there is more than one coarse. The reserve is not the night time golfing coarse. I really wanted to try night golfing. I can to the reserve and they were closed I was told by the staff the night time coarse is on the other end of the resort. read more

I can't believe what they charge for this course. Worth about $25-$35 per round. I will say there is about 60% grass coverage throughout the course. This course is in horrible condition. Better options around. This place is CASHLESS. No cash accepted. At all even on the course. Greens: are fine and roll true good pace also (Say 9 or so) rain day before till 10 pm. Sand: is fine, soft just not much upkeep. Design: is fine, shorter course with a lot of marsh and Water , a few elevation changes not much, good bunkers not extreme and a few waste areas. Good green complexes. Tees and fairways: this is where the course is really lacking Grass is really bare and a lot of fairway Shots are a very sparse layer of grass and dirt. I'm on sight for the week so I'll Try and post a pic Clubhouse: it's the marketplace for the west end of orange lake resorts so there is plenty of stuff here, a Starbucks, a small grocery section, and normal pro shop equipment. Pretty Solid golf course. No complaints about $28 for a round of 18 at 8:12 AM. The course was in pretty good shape when I played it, with the occasional brown spot scattered on the fairways. The course didn't feel long and was dominated by Par 3's and 4's. It played like a typical Florida golf course with lots of water coming in to play. While probably not the most challenging course, it does offer enough to play it multiple times. read more

We played a few courses in near by cities last year and this year. This is not the best course, nor most famous among all. Yet I had most fun at this course. My husband promptly lost three balls playing only two holes. I only list one after 18 holes. We also played The Legend spring this trip. I still preferred Reserve. read more

This is a time share resort course that is also open to the public. Course conditions fall short of the other resort courses in the area and there is not any daily cart service offered. On top of that, cash is not accepted in the restaurant and the prices are set for the captive resort audience. If you are staying at the resort and can't get a ride anywhere else then go ahead and get in a round here. If you have options to travel, there are better courses nearby. read more

We have only belonged to Orange Lake about 6 months. My sisters came out from California to spend my birthday week. there was a mix-up on the dates scheduled and what they had in the reservations. we thought we were going to have to check out a day early but we didn't they not only fixed the reservation with no more charge for the extra day and they even upgraded our room . with someone only be longing for about 6 months this company was wonderful went way out of their way to make sure that the timeshare holder plans worked out . I cannot say enough good about Orange Lake Holiday Inn timeshares. my sister's saw that firsthand and were very impressed as me of course. First things first, Garmin gps will not find this place! Garmin will take you to the Legends course. The Reserve course is about a mile southwest of the Legends course, so give yourselves enough time to loop around for 15 minutes, on account of the poor gps directions. The starter is in a hurry and doesn't care what your tee-time is. My group was sent out ten minutes early. I could have used that time to hit a few putts to figure green speed. Second, there is absolutely NO water on this course. So if you want to wet your towel or quench your thirst, you are at the wrong golf course! May God help you if you are playing this course when it's hot. Third, the tee boxes, fairways, sand traps, and greens were consistent. Fourth, the cost was $62 before tax. All in all, the course is worth playing. Installing a water station on every third hole would improve the course rating from two stars to four stars! read more

Will not play there ever again. Pro shop could care less. Told the group in back of us they should have played Celebration. read more
