We ordered takeout and it was really disappointing. We picked up our order, had 5 different rolls and also a seaweed salad. Unfortunately it was all bad and tasted bad. Myself, husband and daughter took a couple bites and we had to toss it. Later we were all nauseous and ended up with an upset stomach. Definitely wouldn't recommend this place. It was our first and will be our last. The individuals that were there and cooks were friendly. I surprised of the individuals making the food. I'm sure there's a recipe they follow but this is just bad. We tossed it and I had to take my daughter and self to doctor. It was food poisoning and we won't be coming or recommending this place. I was recommended orange roll by two separate people when I asked for their favorite sushi place in the OC. I went after a long day of training opening my new job site at work. It was a couple days after indoor dining opening up so it ended up being my first indoor dining experience in more than a year! There were paper menus with single serving soy sauces and utensils (yay for covid friendly procedures)! We ordered a variety of things including the salmon collar, baked mussels, and a baked scallop. Everything was very generous in regards to serving sizes. The meat to rice ratio was fantastic too! I'm so excited I'm going to be down in the OC more often because this us definitely going to be one of my favorite places. read more

DO NOT RECOMMEND TO ORDER FROM HERE!!! The service is here is HORRIBLE. They just lie to the customer about realistic timelines just to continue to take orders. Like if you know its going to be a long time just say so. I simply orders a Las Vegas roll and side of edamame for pick up and was told 15-20 mins so of course I waited about 15 and then headed over. I finally arrived and they said it wasn't ready. No big deal. I asked how much longer and the said 15 mins. I wasn't very happy because I also had other food in the car but I said ok no problem. Then 20 mins go by, then its 30 mins and I go back and check in and they said its still not ready. At this point I am livid. At the 50th minute mark of waiting I go back to ask for a refund and they said OH yeah I we forgot your food is now ready. I waited a whole hour and wasted my time and the food is AVERAGE at best. Disappointed and Overpriced I decided to try this place after finding that Kai Sushi on Lincoln and Tustin was closed, and unfortunately, I regret it. We ordered five rolls and some edamame, and the bill came out to around $90. For that price, I expected much better quality. The rolls were sloppy, and the fish was warm and overly salty. With the way the economy is right now, I think restaurants need to step up their game if they expect people to pay these kinds of prices. You can't just phone it in anymore--you have to deliver quality, and sadly, this place did not. If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and go to Kai Sushi instead. I was surprised by how small the restaurant is, but all the staff were friendly and attentive. My wife and I shared the caterpillar roll. The unagi was really flavorful and the roll itself didn't have too much filler rice! We also split the salmon teriyaki bento which was filled with so much items: salad, mixed tempura, California roll, salmon teriyaki and rice. All the items were good and seasoned well but my only complaint was they didn't put salad dressing on my salad. Normally, I would be upset, but since I was so hungry, I just ate it all. This is a review of the Orange Sushi in Orange on Tustin Avenue - not to be confused with Orange Sushi in the city of Tustin. Been there done that-yikes! Place is very casual and comfortable. Only 4 parking stalls in front but lots more on the side and in the back that are shared with other businesses in the complex. Good selection of sushi rolls. They also have basic Japanese bento choices of teriyaki chicken or beef, tempura- shrimp, veggies. Etc. Seems majority of customers are phone order pick up or take out. We've eaten in a few times. Very comfortable. Good food and value for the $$. The dine in area is small and nothing fancy. The service was surprisingly good and food presentation and good overall flavor, portion size and taste is excellent. Unfortunately the ambience is not conducive for hosting friends for dinner. I drove by the small location and I decided to stop in to give them an opportunity. I started with some sashimi salmon which was very largely portion sized which I enjoyed it tasted fresh!! I went with the chicken and beef bowl combo server recommended food came out quickly. Taste was perfect and delicious, no to mention the service was great as well. (Marilyn) took great care of me. My fiancée has been raving about Orange Roll & Sushi for as long as I can remember, and she finally had the opportunity to get me to try it. I'm not the biggest fan of sushi rolls, as I have stated in my other reviews, so I can't say I had high expectations for this place despite what my fiancée had been telling me. We ordered the Fire Cracker and the 9 Month Later rolls to-go. The staff was very friendly, and the service was very quick as well. They even brought our food out to our car for us as we waited. For a take out order, the food was nicely packaged and conveniently came with two containers, one for wasabi and ginger and soy sauce, the other with sweet sauce for dipping. I am pleased to say that both rolls were delicious. The fire Cracker roll was advertised to have spicy tuna, but I tasted no spice. Still, it tasted fresh, had a nice crunchy texture to it due to the tempura flakes, and was flavorful. The 9 Month Later roll was also good, and the salmon also tasted very fresh. The only knock I have is that both rolls, while good, tasted identical - but that's to be expected since nearly all sushi rolls tend to have the same combinations of ingredients, just with different sauces on top or some fish options swapped out for others. I would happily come back to enjoy more of Orange Roll & Sushi's other items. The food was good, and the price was very reasonable for sushi rolls of the portion size they provide. read more

I was hesitant about the lemon, so I had my first piece without. The lemon slice is very thin and I did enjoy the remainder roll with the lemon slice. I felt like the lemon was good at balancing the oiliness of salmon. I also appreciated that they packaged the topping sauces separately and it was not drizzled on the roll. I would get this again. Euclid Roll (IN: spicy tuna, avocado, cilantro, cucumber; OUT: yellowtail, jalapeno) - we love yellowtail and I think this was the only specialty roll with yellowtail in it. The cilantro was a surprise, but I like cilantro so it was a pleasant surprise to me. It was as I wanted and expected. I would order this again. California Roll - it was well constructed, but I would have preferred a bigger slice of cucumber. The avocado portion was also lacking. OVERAL EXPERIENCE -- I felt like the avocado was not sufficient in any of the three rolls I ordered. They skimped on the avocado. Just because they're big/you get more food, doesn't mean it's appetizing. The rolls were too big and not appetizing. The ratio of fish and rice was off. Couldn't really eat the sushi in one piece. We couldn't finish our rolls, money wasted. I got the vegetable udon, the broth was bland, soy sauce couldn't fix the blandness. The place is very small and not much space in between parties. The people there was nice but we witnessed them arguing over someone not paying the bill and did not catch it till later. Will not be back. read more

DELICIOUS, but a few pieces in & I realized that the shrimp was undercooked. You can refer to my pictures to see what I'm talking about. Not raw, but still a bit transparent and I don't like to risk it with undercooked food. Seriously so delicious though so I'm a bit bummed here. 2. Chicken Teriyaki Bowl 8/10 : super tasty & reasonably priced. The teriyaki sauce is very sweet and not really my thing so I stopped after a few bites and passed it off to my boyfriend who liked it! 3. Beef Teriyaki Bento Box 7/10 : this review is coming from my boyfriend. he says it was good but didn't knock his socks off. it wasn't bad but according to him, "it was just mid". Super yummy sushi!! We were craving sushi and wanted to try a new spot so we decided to give Orange sushi a try. It's a small cozy place inside a small plaza. We went on a Friday night and luckily got a seat at the bar. They only have a couple of tables and the bar actually faces the street and not the chefs making the sushi. They have many speciality rolls and dinner combos. We decided to share three speciality rolls. We got the fried rice roll $5 which came with 5 pieces, the 9 month later and Himalaya rolls. Prices range between $8-$10 a roll so that's pretty good. The fried rice roll was my favorite! The rice was deep fried which made it super crunchy and the roll was piled high with tons of stuff. The other two rolls were pretty good too. Everything tasted fresh and the rolls were very filling. We were both pretty full by the end of our dinner. We will definitely be back! read more

I'm so glad they are still open cuz I had a craving for sushi! It was so delicious! I will say that they are very strict with maintaining everything sanitized and clean. Every member of the staff had a mask on. They even had me put on gloves to sign for my receipt. They have specific waiting area outside for phone orders and pick up. I got a rainbow roll and while I miss eating at the restaurant. Eating it in my car was still so good. Lol I couldn't wait to drive home and eat it.
