I have been eating Oregano's for over 30 years, and I can say it's one of the few chains that I have never had bad food from. There have been a few service issues, but usually it was just due to being overly busy. I do miss their Stuffed Pizzas. They were like 4 or 5 lbs in a 12" pizza. This was our go to restaurant when my sister was in town, because it is her favorite place to go because she doesn't have Oregano's where she lives. We went the week before Thanksgiving. Didn't post until now because I was waiting to see if the company would do the right thing by my sister. She ordered a salad and while she was eating her salad, she bit into a pit from an olive that was left in it and broke her tooth. Took until today for the Company to reach out and tell her they weren't going to pay for it because it happened while she was eating their food, and apparently you know the risks when you eat their food, SMH. So, if you eat here, just understand that if anything bad happens to you while you're eating their food, you're on your own. My sister is now stuck with $1000 dental bill to have her tooth repaired. So I guess if you're gonna get hurt at one of these restaurants, make sure you slip and fall because apparently they'll cover those types of things, but they don't cover anything that happens while you're eating the food that they serve. read more

Ordered a bistro classic pizza. Room temperature and tasted like something in the ingredients was rancid. I knew it after my one and only bite. Bartender was very amicable and removed it from the tab. Probably won't be going back there again. Too bad. read more

My family and I love going to this Oregano's! I've never had anything on the menu that I didn't like, and the service is always amazing. We've had Christian as our server a few times now, and he goes above and beyond to make sure we are well taken care of. His recommendations for food never disappoint either! One of the first times we had him as our server, he recommended the Stuffed Riga Tony, and now it's all we order when we go there. That was the most embarrassing Mother's Day service imaginable...didn't have the nerve to tell (whom I assume was managing) what a disgusting representation of customer service it was- we have been going to this establishment for years and have always raved about it - basic sides took over 30 minutes (granted restaurant was not busy); repeatedly had to ask for a drink refill; dessert was basically served under our left over pizza because we were still waiting on boxes - and I question how such a great restaurant has such poor customer service - makes me question why the systematic closures are happening - should have ordered dominos instead... read more

Came here with my family and really enjoyed our meals. I am not a fan of the Oreganos on Dobson and Southern (that experience wasn't my favorite), but this one was very different. I ordered salad and lasagna, and it was pretty good! The salad was pretty basic, but it was good. It had tomatoes, onions, croutons, and banana peppers. The lettuce looked well and not wilted. The lasagna was really good. It was crisp on the edges and very saucy in between. The rest of the food my family had also looked tasty. They did order alcoholic drinks and said it was quite watered down and so didn't enjoy their drinks very much. But other than that, no complaints. The service was wonderful, and they really worked hard and did a great job. We left full and happy. The place is also very nice looking on the inside. Came here on a Monday night. Disappointed to say the least. This is one of my favorite places to eat, and from start to finish the experience was one I will never forget. In a bad way. The wings are my favorite on the menu. They came out cold. Our server was no where to be found to address the cold wings. We then had our thin crust pizza come out that we ordered, and it was burnt to a crisp. There was absolutely no flavor from the ingredients, that I paid extra for - because all you could taste was BURNT PIZZA crust. When the server finally came back, she didn't ask things were, she asked if we wanted a box - visualizing that we didn't touch the pizza. We then explained the issues with the way our food was prepared. She was a sweet girl, and said "oh, no. You should've told me" well. After much deliberation on where to go for dinner, we decided on this gem. So glad we did. The yelp reviews were spot on. Just a note that if you want the stuffed or pan pizzas, they take 40-50 minutes. It was close to closing otherwise this would have been the way to go. Ended up getting the cheesy bread as an app which comes with marinara as a starter. It was so oooey and gooey and full of flavor. I loved the garlic under the cheese. So good. Then got the thin crust pizza with pepperoni and ham. I loved that the crust was made with cornmeal dusted around the edges. This place sure knows how to do Italian right. I loved how cheesy the pizza was and how the toppings were thick. I really recommend coming here for some amazing pizza. It's expensive but well worth it. What can I say other than a wonderful experience from walking in the door to walking out of the door. The food is good and the service is even better. Our waitress Katie was on point and took care of us very well. We live right around the corner and there will be no hesitation in making this our go to spot for Italian cuisine. Ordered two BOLLOS and was disappointed. The sauce was so pasty, dry and tasted bland, noodles were watery, the meatballs had ZERO taste. The bread was the best out of everything because it actually had some seasoning but was literally soggy and SOOO garlicky. I don't eat out or order food that often and I just had a craving for comfort pasta but I do not remember oregano's being this bad. We actually added sauce from a jar and it tasted so much better lol. I think the dogs will like it though, what a waste. And of course just two $13 bowls ending up costing over $50, naturally, . I was pleasantly surprised at how good the pizza was. Nice crisp crust with balanced toppings. I'm an admitted pizza snob and can only count on one hand any pizza place that I would consider returning to. That being said, the service was so so and we didn't get any parmesan until we were almost finished with the pizza. 4 of us split a specialty salad which was just ok. I'd give it a 2 out of 5. My husband got a side salad which was just some sad lettuce with a few croutons. I would have given this a 5 star for the pizza. But the service and salads really disappointed. When my mom and I checked in we were told it would be a 45 minute wait because they were extremely short handed. We decided to wait, we were taken back maybe 20 minutes in. Throughout the whole time we were there the staff was so accommodating it didn't feel like they were as behind as they were. There was a table behind us cussing and being extremely rude about the wait but Oreganos did a phenomenal job at communicating the wait times so there shouldn't have been any issues from anyone since they knew in advance. I stopped at Oregano's on my way home from a stressful day while my husband was in the hospital to grab a carry out salad. My order was simply for an Antipasto salad, not a difficult order. Order came up pretty quickly, and I drove the remaining 25 minutes home to Maricopa. When I opened up my salad, I was surprised to find that what I had gotten was a Simple House Salad, about half the price of what I had paid for. I called the restaurant and spoke with the person manning to carry out. He initially said to come back, and that was not going to happen. He said he would get his manager, who said all the right things...he talked to his staff about being more careful, he would refund my money, even asked my name so he could pull the receipt. Well, 10 days later, and the charge is still on my account, and there is no credit. I'm sure Oregano's has very good food, but I will not be going back. read more

Been coming here for years and have always enjoyed the food and service from this location and other oreganos. Unfortunately, this was by far the worst experience I've had. I was seated quickly and waited about 20-30 minutes for a server and water. At this point my table and I were fine by this as we understand that the server could have been busy. We ordered our food immediately (cheese crisp, salad, and wings) and got our cold cheese crisp after 15 minutes. Again we sucked it up and continued to wait for 25 minutes without a check in or refill. I told our server that if the food hasn't started yet we could just check out and I said that we were waiting for an hour. He pulled the ticket he put in and said "it's been only been 40 min since I rang it in". With this we left and will continue eating oreganos at other locations read more

This place is Amazing. We were greeted with such enthusiasm by Ashely one of the managers. She worked hard to keep our party of 7 together, and even got us a nice table outside. Large parties not welcome, and it shows. This is the third time we've attempted to have a large party meet up for dinner, fully expecting a long wait, but actually receiving the cold shoulder and rude responses. Most recently we arrived at 2:45 expecting our party to be seated by 4. By 3:30 we inquired as to the remainder of our wait as we asked to be seated outside and while waiting outside could clearly see the table capable of seating our party being vacant the entire time. My wife was told they are "very busy" and that we should "just expect to wait longer" as no timeline could be given. 10 min later my mother in law went in to inquire again, and no one was there to speak to her for a good few minutes and when they did come up, she was told we didn't check in with our full party (who was all outside). When she explained she didn't want to come in with 12 people to check in but that shouldn't prevent a text message check in, and that we'd all been waiting outside the entire time (as we'd carpooled together between two cars) she was told she needed to check in when the whole party had arrived. Again, the anticipation of a table for 12s wait is not overlooked, but for several attempts, this location seems to struggle finding hospitality, a table, or a server for such a party. I would recommend many other Oreganos locations (Gilbert, Ahwatukee, Tempe) who had all accommodated us in the past with great service and great food. For us, we went across the street to cold beer n cheeseburgers, and will not be returning to attempt dining again at this location. read more

Went with a large group, couldn't be seated all together. Had to move tables for 2 sections for half of team to sit together. Waitress was a little frustrated that we were such a large party. When it came to taking orders she seemed a bit upset but towards the end she was okay. We didn't get straws so coworker got up to get some from the bar seating area, when waitress noticed she placed 10+ straws on the table. Like a handful, silly but that made me laugh a little. Food was okay, I didn't like what I got which was the Poblano pasta, the consistency was very runny and the noodles used were elbows which didn't pair very well. The jalapeño was good and so was the garlic bread. One of my coworkers got pasta w rigatoni noodles which looked really good. Probably will not be going back because I had a stomachache after I left.
