Oregano's is a neighborhood family restaurant with friendly service. The Antipasto salad was so delicious with the large portions of salami, artichokes, peppers and much more. The salad is so large as an appetizer that it easily fed 3 people. The deep dish pizza was also delicious and large. Unfortunately, the Hakuna Piccata Pasta was a disappointment. My daughter and I came here today, we came early because it's Father's Day. Luckily it was not busy so it was a good strategy. We shared an antipasto salad and stuffed rigatoni. The salad was huge. I am not sure if there were 2 sizes but this was large. It was good but it had too many tomatoes and lacked little slices of cheese. And way too big. The pasta was tasty though and the bread was delicious. But 2 dishes were too much even for us to share. read more

My boyfriend and I took my daughter here to have pizza after her track meet, the employees were pretty amazing I have to say, the lady that took care of us was so fun and friendly, the place looks very retro very old school. I had the chicken parm with pasta which it was huge! And they shared a pepperoni and sausage pizza. Food was amazing. To celebrate my graduating from Harvard University, I picked this place to celebrate with my foodie friend, because I had no idea that it was in this location and because, I'm a huge pasta/Italian food foodie, along with my foodie friend. The youthful lady at the front was welcoming and very nice! She should be signed for a modeling gig because she literally looked the part! I told her this as well. Props given (RESPECTFULLY ) My friend left his wallet and upon returning to get it, he mentioned that all of his loot was missing from the wallet, but the wallet was later recovered wiith his cc, so thats good! I recommended to my friend, to contact management and have them to run the cameras to see if they noticed anything. Not accusing anyone of anything but, perhaps whomever found it, let the loot fall out of it! I'm sure that lots of humans leave wallets and ccs behind, because another customer returned about 10 moments after leaving, to retrieve his credit card that our waitress handed to him in .2 seconds. Food is good! I enjoyed a huge plate of pasta which gave me enough for 3 servings in which, I enjoyed, each time I ate it! I was an American Greed in an Italian restaurant (Not to be confused with the show which is one of my fav) The Ambience: The atmosphere is freezing!!! If it weren't raining outside we would've had our meals out on the patio but between raining outside , and hexxa cold inside, it was quit uncomfortable. Oreganos was a favorite of mine and now seems to keep climbing down my list. Note. I've never had an issue with service there and I still have some things there that just no one can beat (pizza cookie and the Pablo salad!) but the pizza is just not the same from what I remember it to be. It's a very family friendly restaurant and everyone there is very helpful but lately, pizza/pastas just don't make my lists anymore and so sad because the Alfredo in the dark was my fav! read more

Our server was great. Very sweet and kind and I wish I got her name. There were three of us and we all loved our meals. Delicious with nice portion sizes. I got the veggie sandwich without cheese. Oregano should be one of your go to places if you want some great Italian food. The ambience is very quaint. Play some old music have some really really cute decorations. The menu is very versatile. For starters you have your choice of many delicious cocktails to choose from and even mocktails.You can get pretty much anything you want from delicious pasta deep dish, pizza, and even salad, but I must recommend that you save room for dessert because the Pazooki is incredible. Really liked it! Took a couple of buddies for lunch here, and everything was excellent. We got seated right away and our server had us some water soon after. We started with some Iced Teas and the Bistro Calamari - and it was the best calamari I've ever had; nice meaty pieces with some flavorful garlic breading. For lunch we had the Chicago Italian sausage & sweet potato fries. The sausage had a "bite" to it, but not so much you can't handle it. The sweet potato fries came with a nice pepper aioli that was delicious together. We also had a couple of the Big Beef Sandwiches and they were amazing. I finished mine, but they are big enough to easily split if you have smaller appetites. Our server was consistently following up with us and was bringing us tea refills without even asking. We wanted an early dinner but our desired Italian place wasn't open yet. Since we were close and we had not been to Oregano's in quite some time we decided to try it again. And now I recall why we don't eat here. I am not a fan of this style pizza and I find it offensive it is called "Chicago style" The thin crust is more like a cracker crust and it gets oily/soggy fast. Leftovers are horrible. Overall their menu selection is pasta with hamburger chicken or shrimp. It would be nice to have some other choices like veal or a non-pasta selections. Not a fan of their garlic bread. It was compressed and soggy The lasagna sauce had a marinara taste. My Hakuna piccata chicken was VERY salty and not much piccata sauce. The antipasta salad is great. The Bellini and cannoli were also great. Others love it and are regulars. Our family, not a fan. read more

We always go in the between hours to Oregano's. They do a good business. The food and portions connect well with the price. I will say it is not the best Italian food however it keeps us coming back so maybe I need to check my standards. Wings here are big and we never have had a complaint with receiving a runt. Other places we go for wings have been hit or miss. Of course the price for these puppies are higher. You get some big wings. We've tried everything on the menu and haven't been disappointed. We are sad they took away the deep dish but it was an automatic 40 min wait. Get that pizza wrong and it's another 40 mins. I can see why they dropped it from their menu. Family was in the mood for pasta so we visited oreganos and overall, it was pretty good. The food came out hot and fresh, which was great, but the flavors were just okay...not the best I've had. The biggest downside was the wait for drink refills, which took longer than expected and then food coming out at different times (5 min apart). My family has been dining at this Oregano's location for a handful of years now. It's a few miles away from the Chandler Mall and is in a shopping center with many stores and other dining options...but also feels off the beaten path. Thus, usually there's not much of a wait even at prime dining hours. The hosts and servers are always friendly and have been clearly training how to make the guests feel welcome. The dining area has some larger party tables but mostly 4-person booths and tables. The bar area is good sized and this location has a larger patio, but unfortunately it's between two buildings and only faces south, which means you get little/no sun and face the parking lot. They also do quite a bit of carry out and is on the far West side of the building with a separate entrance and employee manning the counter so it's much more convenient than most places. They are known for large portions of food and can be sharable. They have thin crust (very thin) pizza and deep dish pizza. The deep dish is good but can be a 45min wait. They used to put the pizza toppings under the cheese, but changed that about a year ago and now they go on top of the cheese. I prefer it this way as the cheese used to separate when there were quite a few toppings on the pizza. Over the years I've tried most of the appetizers and main dishes. The Kick-Butt Garlic Bread is large and sharable, same with the Guaca tony (needs more pizza crust to dip). Their salads are large and tasty as they feature romaine instead of iceberg (wish all places did this!). The Oregano's favorite is tried and true but does include pine nuts for those with nut allergies. Some of my favorite main dishes are the El Diablo shrimp pasta, Zany Ziti, Big Rig Pasta and if you're wanting a lighter fare the Bollo Pasta. They also have sandwiches on baked rolls and are very large but I've never found one that was better than the other options on the menu. They've gone from Coke products to Pepsi products and now are back to Coke products. They also have a full bar for those who would like to partake. Finally, they have really good pizza cookies. They have chocolate chip and two nut flavors we have to avoid. Please let the server know if you have a nut allergy as the baking pans are reused and there's a chance for cross-contamination. Overall, this is a solid place for pizza/pasta/salads and the food is pretty good. If it's your first time and you're with a group, I recommend a party share so you can sample more items. read more

I'm not sure why this place exists anymore. The one offering that made them unique (Stuffed Pizza) hasn't been on their menu for years. Everything else is barely replacement level red sauce Italian or pizza. I guess people still go here out of inertia, but unless they bring back the stuffed pizza, there's literally no reason to go here. read more

I live walking distance from here and I use to LOVE it. Favorite is the pan pizza. The last few times I have ordered the quality/experience is just not consistent. I always do an online order and when I come pick it up it's never ready when it should be. I understand things happen but every time? I'm usually waiting 10-15 mins past the pickup time. Sometimes they offer me a drink which is nice and I appreciate that. Today I decided to place the order 5 mins before it opened and waited an additional 10 mins after the pickup time. It wasn't ready lol. The worker was great and said it would just be a few more minutes. When I got home and opened it , the pizza was burnt. The crust, underneath..all burnt. Disappointed in the quality. Gotta find a new spot for good pizza. read more

Let me start by saying that I have been to Europe and Italy many times and I know what Italian food should taste like. We went to Oregano's on a Friday evening and the restaurant was 95% empty. Our server was very attentive and the food came out quickly. We both ordered the chicken parmigiana dinner that comes with pasta. Although I like my pasta al dente, these needed to be cooked longer. The sauce really wasn't much of a sauce, it was more like crushed tomatoes with spices and didn't stick to the pasta. The chicken parmigiana itself was good. I completely understand why the restaurant was so empty. Sad, because it used to be a very busy and a very popular place. Also, I feel like they could have made more of an effort to decorate for Christmas. It didn't feel very festive and they weren't playing any Christmas music. read more

Love the vibe of this place, nostalgic decor and big band / rat pat tunes playing. Tried the Heckava Slice from the Lunch Rush Menu, M-F 11-3. It's a huge slice of Chicago thin crust for only $5, $1 s topping. I added the in house made meatballs as my topping. Pizza was crispy and delicious! We had always gone to Oregano's for the Chicago Style Pan pizza, dare I say I might just prefer the thin crust pizza. Jessica was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. went to lunch on 6/6/26 and was there at around 11.45 am. was seated and ordered our beverages....coke and ice tea. when the server brought my tea.....there was a DEAD BUG in the bottom of my glass. the server laughed it off and said that they leave the back door open and that's probably where and how the bug got into the place (how it got into my glass, I'm not even going to try and guess). I was brought a new glass of tea, but t he server never even offered to comp my tea, which, as a former server of 40 yrs, was taught it was the thing to do. This was the first time I took my family to Oregano's. So close to making it my last. This has nothing to do with the food, it was on point but the service sucked wind. My wife had pasta and my son and I had pizza. The pasta I thought tasted great and the pizza was totally kicking it. We had the calamari and my 7 year old thought it was the best. As far as the service, the server needs to be trained, oh and so does the manager. First off we were about to walk out, 45 minutes to get the food is just stupid without the server coming and saying anything. The only person we could ask could talk to was the hostess. The food finally got out and within 3 minutes getting the food the server came back and asked us if we wanted a box to take it home. What was that about. Good food and sorry service. A fantastic meal and experience all around! We were visiting the area and wanted Italian and found this place. We sat at high top in bar. Emily, the bartender, was a perfect waiter. She was friendly and efficient and she was busy! But she was able to keep us and everyone happy. A model employee. We started with the very tasty (and big) Antipasto Salad. Simply superb. I grew up in an Italian culture in New Jersey and I think I have now had the worst Italian food experience of my life. Here's why: The names of the dishes like Hakuna Piccatta and Alfredo the dark is an insult in itself. So I had the Ragin Cajun which was ok, it came out room temp, my daughter had the Big Rig which wasn't very big and my wife had an oversized salad. They were out of the ONE Italian beer they had on a Saturday evening. They got a appetizer called the Guaca Tony. Guac and pita chips at an Italian restaurant?? Who does that?? Then the kicker was on the way out at the register they have fortune cookies. I don't know who's bright that was and never, ever in my 50 years of having Italian food across the country have I ever seen guacamole OR fortune cookies at an Italian restaurant. This place is an insult to Italian cuisine. I hate to put that out there but a lot of adjustments need to be made to make it even close to a reputable Italian restaurant. I ordered to go food here recently and it was pretty meh. We got a large veggie pizza that was delicious, my daughters kids meal, and a salad. The salad and pizza were phenomenal. I went with my family for lunch at the Oregan's on Dobson and Germann today (7/20/25). I have never ever had bad service there, but today our server, Christian, was REMARKABLE!!!! He was such an attentive young man who checked on us a few times during our meal to make sure we had everything we needed. I was impressed by how polite and professional he was. It is hard to find such service these days. Speaking of which, everyone who was working there that we had any contact with, no matter how brief, greeted us warmly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Add to all that, the food came to our table quickly and tasted delicious. I wanted to make sure and give Christian and his co-workers a heart-felt shout out for a job well done. Theirs is NOT an easy job as working for the public comes with its own set of challenges. These folks, manager included, are top-notch and deserve to be acknowledged for their hard work. It was busy so we sat at the bar counter. The poor bartender was trying to service the bar, the bar area tables, and all the drink orders for the restaurant by herself! This shouldn't reflect on her. But, having been here hundreds of times this was the worst experience so far. Hard to get time with the server, refills, Parmesan for our meals that were delivered a while ago, etc. This was a staffing issue imo. Also, our deep dish pizza was about half the thickness they e always been. Not sure if they don't let them rise anymore or what? Definitely a let down for getting the wife to go to my favorite place. I been here 15 times in 7 years ! Every visit is almost identical, some things good while other items suck. Most recently your salad was good, while our sausage sandwich was terrible. As pictured , the sausage sandwich was dried out, both the bread & the meat ! My wife does like the salads here, but overall the kitchen & service staff are very inconsistent.
