Oreganos on Country Club was always a happy place. Hostess was rude tonight. No Greeting. Asked us "What do you want?" Asked for a table. She asked if we could be seated because they were closing. She came back saying we would be served. Tossed menus on tables saying "if you can hurry & look over the menu, kitchen closes in 5 minutes." No customer deserves to be treated in this manner. Staff can politely decline service & explain "sorry, it's closing time". Understandable. read more

We stopped when traveling home to Phoenix yesterday and ordered wings well done and a 19" pizza with mushrooms and onions. The wings were not well done and the pizza was actually served without any marinara! We've eaten at Oregano's many times over the years and it has steadily declined. The wings were undercooked, the pizza was terrible, the service was horrible because the bar was understaffed (she apologized for our crappy pizza but did nothing) and the manager didn't do as much as offer us a free mimosas. We had to wait for marinara and ranch to go for over 10 minutes. Avoid Flagstaff Oregano's. read more

We decided to sit at the bar instead of waiting for a table since this place was packed solid and got super lucky. The bartender we had was good but then she disappeared and it was a group effort and they were training a girl. We had a salad, pizza and bottle of wine. Overall, it was pretty good. It felt more like a chain though, I'm not super familiar with that area so it could have been. It was a stop on one of our drives across the states to the Baja. Let's start with what is great about this location; the decor design is an outstanding mix of vintage eclectic 20th century memorabilia every where you look. Even better, vintage jazz music plays in the background, which is prefect to tie it all together! The ambience grade gets a solid "A+", because it was perfect. But overall she gets a solid "B+" The Food: Bistro Calamari: They had an excellent shape and texture, as well as a nice chew to them also. Not a big flavor in the batter. The marinara sauce to dip them in tasted unfortunately like a jar of Ragú or Prego with bold Italian seasoning essence...Not good! What it needed was a jar of Rao's brand marinara to save the day. Overall grade of this ... "C" Bollo Pasta: A slightly over cooked bowl of Angel hair pasta, with the same horrible marinara that tasted like a jar of ragú with an Italian seasoning essence. I'm not sure even a delicious jar of RAO'S marinara could have saved this slightly over cooked pasta. Overall grade for this... " C- " BYO 14" thin pizza. Overall grade ... "C" Caesar salad.... Good taste, Overall grade ... "B" The Favorite Big Salad...A little overly wet on the salad dressing... But the overall grade ... " B- " Based on the ambiance I had such high hopes. In Flagstaff AZ, this was the best food we've had on our road trip so far and at the lowest price so far too. All around a win-win! I ordered the Vino Bambino salad and it is out of this world. So flavorful and filling. It wound up being two meals for me. Another family member ordered the baked ziti and said it was delicious. The restaurant seems on the newer side and the ambiance is kitschy and fun. Service was friendly and pleasant but we had to wait far too long to get our bill when it was time to leave. read more

I recently posted a review of Oregano's on the East side of Flagstaff. I had experienced a soggy Oregano's favorite salad as if it had been sitting in salad dressing overnight. I received a response through Yelp encouraging me to come into the restaurant so they could "make it right." I also talked to another manager, Rich, before I went back into Oregano's. Once I got back to the restaurant, I met Domenic, who had been briefed by Rich, and gave me a gift card for a future visit. Domenic was also very friendly and inviting. On July 3rd, 2025, my wife's 77th birthday. Special occasion! Bad choice we should have gone to the Olive Garden or Red Lobster, but It was convenient across from the Fairfield hotel. My wife ordered the beef beefstro salad they were out of the serrano dressing so they substituted an unknown(?) dressing. It was overly saturated and not consumable. Sent it back. We ordered the large numero one-1 pizza the sausage was almost rare and in large clumps and not distributed evenly on the pizza, it was not acceptable. My fault I should have complained and not paid at the time. I have contacted the manager John Broderick 2-3 times. I have also left a voice message for Scott Spain at corporate with no response. I ate dinner here because it was conveniently located in the hotel parking lot where I was staying for 1 night. I ordered the BBQ Chicken Pizza. The crust was very tough and dry. I found the decor of this place to be way over done and gaudy. Service was very mediocre. At the end of the day, I got something to eat after a long day of driving but I would not recommend or return if I am in the area again. read more

Overall a great choice for Italian casual food. Was very close to hotel we stayed at. Had the wedding soup which was very good, a bit on the greasy side, but I am overly sensitive to this. I have been eating here for decades and have my fair share of positive and negative experiences. The quality of the pizza has sharply declined in recent years & I no longer order pizza from oreganos due to it. I love the desert cookie and the salads hence the 3 stars. Stayed at the Fairfield in and they were open late enough I could still walk there and grab dinner. Immediately found a seat at the bar, as I was by myself. The bartenders were extremely friendly, kind, hard working, and seemed great. Every employee I encountered was great. I ordered the big rig. Honestly, couldn't tell if the flavors were good considering there wasn't enough sauce to really taste it. I kept stirring in hopes there was some settled on the bottom that could get sopped up. Kept adding salt to impart some flavor to it. I mean, what I could taste wasn't bad by any means. Jusr tasted mostly like just noodles, some basil, and tomato and couldn't taste any sauce at all. We arrived in Flagstaff at our hotel and immediately saw walking distance Oreganos, and because I'm Yelper, I had to check the ratings. It was only 31/2. Of course I asked the hotel front desk their opinion and they said it was good, but that Fat Olives was way better. Unfortunately Fat Olives didn't have any more reservations so we decided to give Oregano's a try. I want to say, We were NOT at all disappointed with anything we ordered, food and drink!! Not sure why only 31/2 stars because I didn't read reviews and glad I didn't. We started with drinks, the Blanco Sangria which I asked our server to add more fruit slices and boy did he. Slices of oranges, lime, lemon, & cherries (see pic on everything). Husband had a Pain Reliever and he thoroughly enjoyed every sip, sprinkled nutmeg on top. Check out the pic of the menu for the ingredients. Then our small salad arrived which was huge and definitely fed both of us. Lots of fresh romaine, cucs, slices of tomatoes, real bread croutons, lots of peppercinis (a fav of mine), and topped with fresh Parmesan. The dressing was a honey vinegarette, thick and tasty (our server Michael's recommendation, spot on!) Man that could have been our meal. Lol. On to our main course which we shared, the Hakuna Piccata (great name). It was another BIG dish. Glad we shared it. The chicken was lightly breaded and crunchy not soggy, moist and flavorable. The fettuccini had a Alfredo sauce but not over done and a lemon butter sauce plus capers, because we LOVE capers we asked for extra. The kitchen didn't disappoint. It also had fresh herb sprinkled amongst the fettuccine. Oh man I couldn't keep saying how scrumptious our meal was. Now top it off with garlic bread, not just bread with butter but true goodness garlic bread which isn't too common in a restaurant. Excellent size, nicely buttered with great taste. Can't say enough about the food, but let's talk about our server. Super attentive, very professional and kind. Really listened to us and what we wanted plus he made excellent recommendations. And not just manning tables, he was the bartender for his tables. Made our drinks amazing!!! The restaurant was cute, old old movie and tv previews playing on it. Went with the ambiance of the place which in my review is a pic of the bar. Lastly check our bill out...excellent for all the food we enjoyed. read more

I asked for spaghetti with meat sauce and added two Italian sausages. I got Angel hair pasta. They don't have spaghetti. The Italian sausage and meat sauce was excellent. The waitress should have told me they don't have spaghetti when I ordered. The problem with angel hair pasta is it's easy to overcook it. It was overcooked. Also the angel hair pasta was smaller pieces of pasta. I would have ordered penne instead. read more

Here on a Saturday night at freezing temperatures hungry and craving Italian!! We ordered Alfredo the dark, Bollo pasta and the Big Rig pasta. The service was quick and efficient. Alfredo was light on sauces, usually it is nice and creamy! The Bollo pasta was nothing great and the new addition Big Rig pasta was just okay and nothing to crave for. I am a big Oregano's fan. So much so that we came here on my birthday. My boyfriend and I were in Flagstaff hiking for the day and I told him I'd rather go to a tried and trusted place than go somewhere new. So we ended up at Oregano's for a dinner after a hike nearby at Fatman's Loop. I love that Oregano's has an Italian familial style vibe. It's as if Olive Garden and Buca di Beppo had a baby and it's a little bit more chill (and equally great food!). I love the pizza here and the thin crust is my fave. We opted for a classic cheese pizza with extra sauce. It was everything a cheese pizza should be. Flavorful, hot and gooey. I really enjoyed it and ate way more slices than I should have! Also, the pazookies at Oregano's are an absolute must! They are warm, out of the oven cookies in a skillet with vanilla ice cream and chocolate chips. They are fantastic. It makes my mouth water just typing about it. All told, definitely recommend getting to Oregano's and really enjoyed my bday meal at this particular location. read more

We normally love coming here as a family but tonight the music was SO loud it literally hurt. We did ask the server if it could be turned down but it was not during the hour plus that we were in the restaurant. I believe it impacted our experience ordering as well, as our order was unmistakably clear and came out wrong. It's sad because we love coming here, to this location specifically, and if the music is as loud next time we absolutely won't stay. Bummer!! read more

This place gets an easy 5 stars on location. If you're staying at the Hampton Inn or Fairfield Inn, this is walking distance from the hotel. There's plenty of parking and set up nicely if you're towing a trailer. There's also a gas station right beside it. This is the perfect place to stop when you're on the road! Easy access to I-40. I ordered the chicken parm sandwhich (lunch portion) with homemade chips and loved it. I sat at the bar and Paige did a great job serving everyone and making sure people got to go drinks if they wanted it. Highly recommend! Travel safe :) read more

I kind of feel like if you're going to ask me to spend time providing you with more info related to your quality issues a simple "thanks for your time" would have been appropriate. I've taken another star off for this. John, you really don't help your business by wasting your customer's time. I'm disappointed more than I might have been if you simply said nothing. We have eaten here many many over the past several years. It has always been a place to rave about until the past couple of months something significant has changed with the thin crust pizza. I love pizza. It is my absolute favorite food. I prefer just cheese pizza but I likely won't go to this particular Oreganos for my pizza fix. I've been to one in Phoenix about 3 weeks ago and theirs is still excellent. This one in flagstaff is so bland it's unreal. Maybe the cheese vendor changed?? Please change I back please! We have been fans of oregano's for years and frequent the location in Scottsdale often. We came to Flagstaff for an event over Memorial Day weekend and were able to get a reservation for a party of 25 which was surprising and greatly appreciated. (They were so busy) Big parties like ours can be challenging, and usually will end up in hit or miss service and significant food delays. Since we had a lot of children with us, we were a little worried, to be honest. Hannah was our server and from the minute she approached our table, we felt at ease! She was so great with our kids, was so patient, and we never saw her sweat, even though our table was a little demanding. (Kids!) Our food was as delicious as ever and came out in a timely manner and all of the food was hot when it arrived at the table. The manager was constantly checking in on us and Hannah gave us so much specialized attention. I don't even think we ever had to ask for a drink refill. I love this location; it's five minutes from my house and has tons of parking. The west side location was historically tiny with long wait times and no parking, so I loved coming to this east side location. Now, with the west side location moved, they are both easily accessible and parking is not an issue whatsoever. This only speaks to the popularity of this restaurant in Flagstaff- it's a local favorite and a fun place to take visitors to! The inside is dressed up with fun, 1940's and 1950's swing era items, and the music matches. The food portions tend to be HUGE. My fall back entrée item is the Pablo Picasso salad with fajita chicken. It's enormous and good for 2-3 servings, easily. A secret favorite: the garlic bread appetizer, but add cheese and marinara for sure. For those whose party might not all want cheese, you can add cheese to just half of it. As you can tell from the picture, the garlic bread exceeds its basket! It's to die for. I've never had bad service, and a manager of some type usually swings by during the meal to check on things. Sure, sometimes it might be pretty busy, especially on Friday and Saturday nights, but if you're patient it's worth the wait. read more

A horrible Italian restaurant but a passable version of a unique American food style, Oreganos is still barely average due to lazy kitchen work, obnoxious atmosphere and confused service. The gaudy interior assaults the senses; it is deliberate chaos: paraphernalia and artifacts vaguely celebrating American Italian style and mid-century nostalgia occupying the walls and ceilings Over-loud 40's and 50's big band music plays incessantly, servers and patrons alike having to yell over the din. TGI Fridays meets Buca de Beppo with some Red Robin thrown in, for annoyance. Northeastern Nostalgic Italian, a style brought to my attention by the amazing (and sadly extinct) Zayda Buddy's in Seattle, years ago, is essentially the odd lovechild of real Italian food and what someone in Illinois, Wisconsin or Michigan could approximate with ingredients readily available to them, like canned sauces, pre-mix "Italian style" seasonings, bland sausages and oily (but cheap!) cheddar cheese. Chicago-style "pizza" (actually a casserole, in my opinion) is the most famous and perfected example of the genre. That explained, the food here is sloppily constructed, the sauces bland, the meats generic. Our pizza was center-loaded, making the middle soggy and the edges bare and over-browned. Way too much cheese of questionable quality. The soup we tried was ok, but obviously "stock pot" or similar prefab product, augmented with a smattering of chopped parsley and a chopped-up meatball. Service was confused and rushed, the beverages hitting the table unpredictably during the meal. The wine was the highlight of the dinner; a Charles & Charles cab/syrah blend, unexpected in a goofy theme chain store like this, served at proper temperature, no less. Total red herring, and the reason this is a three, not two-star review. Can't recommend it unless you are just tired and need something close to your hotel and the highway, like we did. read more
