The stuffed mushrooms are SO well seasoned you don't need to add anything, coming from a salt fanatic that speaks volumes..I HATE bland food and it was anything but. I always like to start with positive feedback, the food and staff make that so easy. Stuffed rigatoni with cheese garlic bread are my go tos. Every bite is a cheese and meat sauce succulence. When I arrived my order wasn't ready but I was later offered a drink for my inconvenience which I appreciated. The areas I would recommend for improvement would be how social distancing and mask wearing are monitored. Several children were seated without masks. One patron went in and out of the restaurant with his son no masks not keeping social distancing and no one asking him to leave. As the pandemic continues to grow my confidence in others protecting each other wanes when I see this. Oreganos is a good restaurant that just needs to say no to people who don't care. read more

We went back the other day and ordered dinner, I had called the wrong Oreganos on Bell, so was I surprised when I came in. Let me tell you the girls at the front desk bent over backwards to find my order, and when it was at the other place, they got the Manager (Mikkel), and he had the order remade and brought out to the car, the girls and Mikkel couldn't have been nicer and more accommodating, they have a customer for life. ALSO.......the food was wonderful, the grandkids split the stuffed Rigatoni, and we split the HUGH meatball sandwich, we all had the calamari and zucchini, it was enough for all of us, and tasted great.... I'm surprised that they still haven't figured out how to get orders to people I their cars. You have to walk inside and get your pizza. Hubby and I visited here for Valentine's day lunch after a long break - 1+ year. We've always had good service in the past visits and this visit was no different. We've come here for lunch and dinner, by ourselves, and with family. The lunch deals from 11am to 3pm Monday through Friday are a great value. You'll still get massive portions at a fraction of the dinner price but the lunch items are limited. The lunch items do come out fairly quickly if you are limited on time. The wait to be seated for lunch is very short to non-existent from previous experience. The dinner wait can be excruciatingly long as other posts mentioned. Come early if you can to lessen the stress. I ended up ordering their "heckuva" slice of pizza and calamari. Hubby did his usual "bowl-o-pasta". The slice of pizza is actually 2 big slices and is very similarly sized as the Costco slice of pizza. Big difference is that this is the thin style while Costco is hand-tossed. 1 slice is more than plenty for me and I always end up taking the second slice home for later. The calamari is all big steak pieces; nicely breaded and seasoned. I prefer rings in my calamari apps but this version is still good enough for me to order regularly. Hubby ordered 2 rounds of the bowl-o-pasta. Each bowl must have 1.5 pounds of pasta and sauce, no joke. 1 bowl would be enough to fill most people. Hubby was probably a competitive eater in his past life as he tends to eat A LOT while at restaurants. I did sneak in a bite and I found it to be average. I'm sure a lot of people can make this pasta at home and no one would know the difference. Not something I would ever order for myself but hubby really likes it. Overall, this is a great place for date night and to have a meal with your family. As long as this place is still here, we'll find our way back to it. read more

Came to Oreganos for dinner while on business in th area. I had high hopes as it was a Tuesday night and the place was packed. I would look for other options.... We came in and had to wait about 20 minutes. No issues as the time flew by. The bar area was a bit cramped but had a quick drink before dinner. We were seated quickly and our server was very friendly. They were attentive but not over bearing which was great. They have a very extensive menu which is good and bad. One of my friends had the pizza and it was pretty good. I had the King Parmesan de Eggplant. I am a huge fan of eggplant and was really disappointed. The flavor was disappointing as it was pretty bland Maybe I just got the wrong thing but I wouldn't come back here again. There is too many good restaurants out there. read more

Surprise! Another outstanding experience at Oregano's! What makes this one special is the fact it was my younger son's birthday. And just like big brother, he wanted Oregano's. This time, we were in Glendale. Unlike our recent visit to the Mesa location, we had to wait about 45 mins. What set this apart, was the fact the hosts brought out a fresh, hot pizza cut into tiny sample sized pieces for all those waiting. I've never seen this level of service before. At any restaurant! My youngest leaned over and asked me "Is it really worth the wait?" I told him he would see soon. And once we were seated, our orders were taken promptly. And then the pizza arrived. He chose the same pizza his brother wanted for his birthday... How like them. Our Clark Street Meat Pizza was amazing. As always! And our server was super cool. I am embarrassed that I can't recall his name, but he definitely delivered the experience we have come to expect from Oregano's. If I could give zero stars I would. They are open for dine-in and have a podium outside with a sign saying wait here to be seated. As you look inside there are employees behind the counter, one leaning on the counter and several near the kitchen. Keep in mind we are standing outside in 111-degree weather. There were plenty of employees who made eye contact with us and nobody greeted us. Very laissez-faire attitude as 10 min went by we could no longer stand the heat and left. Don't waste your time. It's become a must now to come to Oregano's Pizza Bistro whenever I travel to Arizona. The pizza, the wedding soup, the cheese bread, and the wings(!) are absolutely amazing. Local/neighborhood favorite with locations all over the valley. I've never been disappointed in the food. The only complaint I've ever had is there isn't enough room at the bar for as often as you have to wait. We joined waitlist tonight and the total wait ended up being the 34 minutes we were quoted by the app but that's not what this is about. Tonight I want to talk about the amazing service we got from Jordan. We sat, coincidentally, at the same table we did last time and I think she was our server that night too. She's fun and funny without being overly intrusive or like she's trying too hard. My allergies were bothering me and she genuinely thought I was upset at one point and I don't know what that stands out. Some of my favorite foods (since this is yelp): the Picasso salad and all the pastas. I love that they put a southwest kick with some heat on most of the dishes. Oddly enough I don't think I've ever had the pizza. They also make a pretty good martini and the wine isn't bad. read more

Very nice ambience in the restaurant. The staff was very friendly and extremely courteous. Our waitress was awesome and the speed of which things came out was great. I was disappointed in the thin crust pizza. The crust was chewy and even gummy in the center however the toppings made up for it. Just have never had a good experience at this restaurant, but I've never left a review and we've tried to give this a shot on more than one occasion. I Have tried ordering take-away, it's extremely slow and poorly organized but most times we dine in and no experience has really been worth it. Well, here's the straw that broke the camels back: Today during triple-digit temperatures we decided to come to the restaurant. When we were seated, we were seated in the outside bar area that's not a part of the actual building (think - enclosed uninsulated porch) and even though there are A/C ducts all over the room, it was absolutely sweltering and the AC was not on. We said something to our server who replied, "we have the fans on..." making it clear that nothing more would be done. What an extremely bad experience for having to spend $100 to take my family for a "nice" lunch. read more
