This our Chinese takeout spot, and we enjoy it! The place has plenty of parking which is nice. We usually pick up our meals at the counter and there is always some really to greet us. We also rarely have to wait to pick up our food because they are pretty good at estimating the timing for the food is ready. From what I notice when walking inside, the ambiance is nice, the place look clean, and there are always customers at the table. Our go-to orders are Mongolian chicken, general Tso chicken, brown rice, and hot and sour soup. They have the best Mongolian chicken and hot and sour soup around! The soup is the right consistency (not too thick) and not too spicy (but I will add sriracha to it if I am craving an extra kick). One thing that is nice that they do most of the time is wrap the takeout containers in a plastic bag before packing it in a paper bag. This is incredibly thoughtful as it prevents any accidental spillage from leaking into the bag and into the car. All in all, we will definitely continue ordering from here, and plan to dine in one day soon! read more

Food and prices are both outstanding here but I had to deduct a star because the waitresses here aren't the nicest. When you catch eye contact because you need something and she says "yea what do you want".. WTF.. lol. I understand English barriers but she needs to work on that and not be afraid to smile. The older lady is a little better, just needs to understand when I a customer says thank you it's okay to acknowledge and say it's welcome with a smile. Friday night about 7pm and no wait for a table but they were very busy between in-person and carry out service. Service was outstanding, friendly and attentive. Food was hot, visually appealing and very tasty. I was pleasantly surprised since this restaurant serves multiply ethnic cuisines, I didn't have high expectations. But to my surprise: sushi was tasty, Tom Yum soup was good but not the best, Hunan chicken excellent, and pad Thai with beef was different from other places but very tasty. We come here often on Saturday afternoons. It's such a nice establishment. One of the best oriental restaurants I've been to. You cannot beat the prices, and you get so much food and soup and all. Plus, the staff is SO friendly and accommodating. The egg drop soup is some of the best I've had. The walnut chicken is a favorite, and you can't go wrong with the orange chicken. I called to request a refund and receive a refund for my tip as well & the guy yelled at me and said absolutely not I don't give a f about your tip. & Said he would remake the order but I didn't want a remake of it. A nice surprise for an Asian food restaurant. I want to mention first that this restaurant is super clean, including the bathrooms! We had lunch here and the prices are wonderfully low with out any compromise in service and quality. You get a lot for the price too. Each lunch plate comes with fried wontons ago start and the entrees include rice, egg roll, and a spring roll. In Georgia, a place where there are more Chinese restaurants than you can shake a stick at; Oriental J is among one of the best and my favorite. Although it is technically a fusion restaurant I usually stick to Chinese as it is excellent here. The Thai and sushi are also good but when it comes to Chinese in the Braselton or Buford area this is always my first choice. Everyone got a taste of everything. It was not anything to return to the restaurant to order again. Having a good selection of food was a fair test of their cooking ability. My wife and I have been looking for good Asian place in Buford / Hamilton Mill area for a while and we have come to the conclusion that this is our favorite one. We have eaten here several times now and each meal has been really good. You can not go wrong with the honey walnut chicken or shrip and of course the General Tao's is a staple at any Chinese meal. This place is a bit of a hole-in-the-wall by a Wal-Mart so I wasn't expecting much more than a free meal out of my generous dad when he suggested the family eat there after church. I was pleasantly surprised! They have an extremely cheap lunch menu with very generous potions. Not only is their traditional Chinese menu delicious, but they also have Thai food! This is now the second third that I've ordered from Oriental J and I love it! Our order was here in 45 minutes, like they said it was and everything was HOT! I got the massaman curry chicken andan, it was delicious. I love curry and was so impressed that is metro Atlanta I finally found a good one. My husband ordered the rainbow roll, tuna roll and they threw in a California roll for free. The sushi was delicious and tasted fresh, I grew up by the ocean and was still not disappointed. My kids got the orange chicken and teriyaki chicken with veggie love mein, they ate too much and we so full and happy. So TWO HOURS after I ordered my food, and after 13 phone calls (most of them wouldn't even go through because they only have one phone line) the food arrived. 40 minutes before it got here they said it would be here any minute. Anyway, worst food I have ever ordered from a Chinese restaurant. Ever. Ordered sushi that smelled rancid and was falling apart. Crab Rangoon so chewy you can actually break it down. Ended up spitting out after it wouldn't break down. Entrees were cold. This was my first, and definitely last, experience with this restaurant. So not worth the money, or the wait. They use crabstick and other low quality fillers. Fish is usually fine, but one roll I got was very fishy. Dinner options are better. So my son was in the backseat saying he wanted Chinese food. So I asked my husband to try and find a good Thai restaurant and we happened to stumble upon this place. I ordered the chicken masaman curries for us and chicken with vegetables for my son. All were served on steamed rice with the vegetable spring rolls. We could not put our forks down the food was so good! We had planned on eating some of it the next day for lunch but ended up eating the whole plate. Which was not easy to do because they gave such generous portions. It reminded me of the very first time I ever ate Thai and reminded me of why I got hooked on it in the first place.
