I've eaten here several times so far and really enjoy their sandwiches. I love a good sandwich that's beyond your typical subway sandwich. I've dined in and done takeaway here. I've tried a different sandwich each time. They have all been good, but I'm not sure if I have a favorite yet. I did try one protein bowl before - the teriyaki chicken one - and it was yummy. I want to try some of their other menu items, such as the salads. They have good drinks and yummy chips as sides. Good customer service and nice ambiance. This place has a pleasant healthy open style vibe. I like places that have good healthy food! I liked my Moroccan club sandwich. In general I like how this place is being managed. They offer salad bowls, sandwiches & other healthy treats. The place is clean & after ordering they brought the food out in good time. I tend to be a little naughty lately when it comes to my food choices, so this place is definitely a nice refreshing change from my typical choices. While walking in during the opening of the Original Chop shop I couldn't believe that I was greeted with THE Best welcome and greeting I've ever received walking into an establishment. I had to tell the manager how great Carter was. This made me want to visit again. Each staff member I encountered after was so pleasant. The interior is super cute and looks like a solid place to hang out if you want to dine in. They have a little waiting area for to go orders to the left of the counter. You order at the counter then receive your food. I went with the chicken teriyaki bowl. All bowls come with veggies like carrot, mushroom, cauliflower, etc. and then you can pick brown rice, sweet potato hash or forbidden rice or quinoa for an extra dollar. I went with forbidden rice, and the teriyaki chicken bowl also comes with avocado Brussels sprout and sesame seeds. Flavor wise I was a big fan. The portion size is also pretty solid for everything you get in the bowl. It may be a little more expensive than similar fast casual spots but I thought the quality was worth it. Friendly staff also. UGGGG!!! I do not post many reviews but the last couple of times I've been to a Orig Chop I've realized it's time to post. This used to be a favorite girlfriend stop for lunch. But times have changed... During covid they went cashless and now they have gone to the "staff-less mode" and machine prompts for a tip! They always had a decent salad gig but their lettuce is washed in the chemicals that make you sick 30 minutes after you eat it. Gut beware! Also noticed both locations near me have had complete turnover in staff. Not sure what is going on here but it is not the cute clean fresh spot it used to be. Original ChopShop does it again, although the more locations they open, the less "original" if feels ;) Regardless, I'm a huge ChopShop fan. I frequent the Old Town Scottsdale location, but this one at Tatum and Shea is also convenient for when I'm meeting someone who is coming from Phoenix. My go-to order is the chopped vegetable salad -- add shrimp + a whole wheat tortilla on the side. However, if you're more in the mood for a sandwich or grain bowl, you really cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. I like the fast-casual atmosphere, the modern, bright and shiny environment, the lemonade and iced tea, the convenient parking, and the outdoor patio (at least while the weather is still nice!) The staff stays busy and could probably work on being a tad bit more friendly, but all things considered, this is a solid option for a healthy lunch - no matter which "Original ChopShop" location you choose. 1st time I've been here, healthy food choices are hard to find. It was almost lunchtime, so I got a cold brew and acai bowl to eat there and the chicken teriyaki with quinoa for later. I've had different acid bowls from all over. Chops version was mostly acai blend, bland dried granola that was way too much of, very little actual fruit if any and very little coconut shavings. It's like they got interrupted when making the acai bowl and forgot to finish it. The cold brew coffee was very bitter. Bitter coffee isn't what anyone wants. They are suppose to be a healthy restaurant but only have half n half and no nut milk options. The chicken teriyaki bowl with quinoa and veggies - the chicken was good, the quinoa was cooked and absorbed the teriyaki very well, the veggies = broccoli, brussel sprouts were soo incredibly overcooked the taste was just bland mushy gross. The carrots were yummy, but I only got 3 little slivers of them. Maybe the person cooking should do something else instead of cook and put food together. Or maybe this restaurant should taste their own food before serving it to the public. I would be embarrassed to serve any of these items to anyone. read more

My first time here. The restaurant seemed, bright, clean and inviting. The person at the register was super friendly and helpful. I ordered the veggie and hummus wrap. Everything tasted really fresh and good. The hummus was especially good and flavorful, which I believe they said was a new recipe. The hummus tasted great and if they sold it separately, I would consider buying it. For me the only downside was it seemed a little pricey for the amount of food you get. That could very well be the cost of fresh these days, I just think for me it would be hard to get full with just one of their sandwiches and chips. Mistakes happen. It's how a business handles the mistake that will determine if it keeps customers. So while the initial interaction didn't go as we had hope. The Original ChopShop PV went above and beyond to make things right, which is greatly appreciated. We have gone to chop shop for years. We were really looking forward to our food tonight. However, they have lost us as a customer. Our food was horrible. When we called to try to let them know, we were hopeful that it was just a one time misstep. However, we were told that it was because of how we ordered our food. Really?!? the food was nasty because we ordered it that way. There were no veggies in our bowl because of how we ordered, even though we didn't order saying we didnt want veggies and its the exact same way we have always ordered the same food numerous times before. And the sweet potato hash that we ordered wasn't hash it was dried up hard sweet potato bits. So not only was the food not good, the service that we received was extremely disappointing. read more

My absolute favorite place to get a kale Caesar salad!! I normally will get a kale caesar with shrimp. I love how they prepare the grilled shrimp, they are a pretty big size and always taste fresh. The dressing is the perfect amount for my taste and is lightly tossed evenly in the salad. Of course, the salad wouldn't be complete without good 'ol Parmesan cheese *heart eyes* The style of Chop Shop is very minimal, but well decorated. I am obsessed with the white brick walls!! Today was a very special day! It was none other than the first day that the Original ChopShop at Tatum and Shea was opened to the public. Having been to this health-conscious restaurant before at other locations, I was excited to have it open up so close to home. When I walked up to the restaurant, the nearby businesses were closed, so the Original ChopShop was like a beacon of light in the darkness! (see the photo) I had a Grilled Protein Bowl (Teriyaki Chicken) with roasted broccoli, cauliflower, onion, carrot, brown rice, brussels sprout, and sesame seed. Certainly a tasty and health dish! My mother enjoyed The Chops with Beet (house greens, arugula, golden beet, sour apple, goat cheese, cashew, golden raisins, and red wine vinaigrette). We both ate every bit of our meals. Other dishes included "Between Bread" (sandwiches), Superfruit Bowls & Parfaits, Rise & Shines (Breakfast), Protein Shakes, and drinks. The service itself was the highlight. From the woman at the counter to the man who brought us our food and checked in on us and brought us extra sauce, we certainly received special attention. I got the impression that everyone receives this special attention at Original ChopShop. Great food, great service, and a great location is a win-win for me! My only big of feedback is the seating. Some of the tables have a booth on one side of the table and hightop chairs on the other. I was literally a foot higher than my mother, but we moved to another spot where she was on one side of the booth while I sat in a stand-alone chair. I always love coming to this chop shop because it's right around the corner from the place that I go to a lot, a studio in town. Service here is always super great and was exceptionally good today. Thomas is a great employee here and I think he should be commended for his work but today a young gentleman with a headband and long hair helped me out and was outstanding, I did not catch his name, but if I do, I will add it to here later, ( his name is Daniel ) super helpful guy, and very personable. 10 out of 10 would dine here again. read more

Had a much better experience at this chop shop than the other location I have tried. The service was friendly and prompt. I ordered the chicken and kale sandwich but had it in a whole wheat wrap instead. It was delicious and came out quickly. My only complaint was lots of the tables were dirty, so a quicker turn around and clean would be nice, but it was about 1pm during the week, so it was the end of the rush.
