I am typically not a breakfast person, if someone wants to go out for brunch I may choose the lunch side of it. If I do chose breakfast I usually choose an omelet but when coming to the Pancake House I had to actually try pancakes. I chose the chocolate chip pancakes and they were delicious!! Made me wonder why I don't choose this option more often. I've also tried the potato pancakes because again, I'm not typically a breakfast food person, but I didn't love that choice. What I do love here is the coffee! I'm not sure what it is about their coffee but it's delicious!!! I do believe it is pretty pricey and don't come here regularly due to that. New York's version on the OPH is a bit different then Indiana. And I liked it. Reminded me more of on old school diner. The coffee was good, the omelet was huge which is a direct result of being baked. I am a fan of this process. The side of pancakes were above average, nothing to call home about. Service was not great, considering the place was pretty empty I was annoyed that I had to track down the server for a coffee refill.. The cups are very small, so I would think they would be on top of this minor detail. Yum yum yum! Among the 3 of us, we shared the Dutch Baby, mushroom omelette, and pigs in a blank (pancakes). Our waiter was a Teenage boy that kept a smile on his face the whole time and was very attentive- kudos to good training and work attitude. The Dutch baby, we were warned, would take 20 minutes. So we sat and chatted , while my coffee was diligently refilled. When it finally came, it was huuuuuge! And looked and tasted absolutely delicious! The mushroom omelette was huge too! Eggs were soft and flavorful, and they did not skimp on the mushroom. I also loved the potato pancakes that came with- so good with the apple sauce. He got the insane Apple Pancake (which everyone near us stared at) and I got the blueberry crepes with a side of bacon. We both loved our food and stuffed ourselves silly. Coming into the restaurant was a nice experience. Only had to wait 5 minutes on a Sunday morning and the waitress was very nice. I am ordering Coffee and the Bacon & Basted Eggs on the Eggstra Special. It comes with three buttermilk pancakes as well. COST: I paid $11.60 for the whole meal. Very reasonable price, especially for the quantity of my order. SERVICE: Service was very well! The waitress was very nice and was very friendly. She kept coming over to check if everything was alright and to see if I needed more coffee. A different waiter came up to me just to fill my coffee some more so the service was excellent. FOOD: The food was well. The pancakes were easily the best part of the meal. The eggs were like every other eggs, nothing too special. The Bacon was good as well. It came crispy without me asking but I like crispy bacon so it turned out well. It had a weird taste to it but it didn't ruin it. FINAL VERDICT (Written) I am giving it a 4/5 stars. Pretty much the same as the location that I usually go to on Main Street in Williamsville..... except the setting seems a bit more mid-century modern than cute and kitschy. The menu is the same... and I ordered my very favorite thing: "The Dutch Baby": a fluffy baked pancake bowl that is brought to the table and then filled with butter, powdered sugar, fresh lemon, and strawberries. So delicious!!!! Of course there is also every imaginable omelet....and type of pancake.... and waffle.... and crepe to choose from as well. Awesome breakfast. Our other option was IHOP. We are so glad we chose original pancake. Order a feta spinach omelet was huge and filled full with feta. Pecan pancakes layered with pecans. I came in here with my husband and children, right from the start the hostess had an attitude and seemed like we had interrupted her conversation with a waitress at the front desk. We ordered a ham and cheese omelette and it was runny and raw, when we asked to speak to the manager the waitress rolled her eyes. There isn't much to look at while I was there besides the filthy blinds next to me and Cobb webs in the ceiling. But seriously though, it needs a very good cleaning. My friend killed it, and when we informed our waiter he denied that it was a cockroach. Came in today for waffles with my best friend, as it is galentines day and waffles are clutch! Their menu boasted the best waffle selection in the area so we gave it a go. Being in our late twenties, we were the youngest guests by about 30-40 years at least! It was kind of adorable. There was no hostess so we waited uncomfortably long before someone looked up and noticed us to seat us. The service was fine after that but not spectacular. We ordered two coffees and two specialty waffles (fresh strawberry and peanut butter) one of which (the peanut butter one) was a la mode. The waffles were thick and huge and absolutely wonderful. They came served with a strawberry sauce that I could slap someone for. The menu is fairly large but honestly I wouldn't go there for anything other than waffles or pancakes. The food is expensive- there's no nice way to put it, it's overpriced. This is not a eggs, meat, home fries and toast kind of place. The add-ons are quite pricey, $3.55 for a side of toast?! REALLY. The original pancake house has two locations one on Main Street in the Village Williamsville the other near the 290 I Niagara Falls Blvd. They both use the same menu and the quality of the food is pretty much the same. Their portions are extremely large and almost everything is tasty. We went to the pancake house on Niagara Falls Blvd., Sunday with friends from out of town. We were served quickly even though the place was completely full and service was good and fast. I have no complaints, which is rare for me, but it is worth the trip. read more

The pancakes were small and overpriced, and a glass of orange juice is $5??? That's crazy!! The water cups they give you are the size of my pinky finger. Let's start with place itself. The look was a bit outdated but they have a big menu with lots of options! The booth I was seated at was uncomfortable and felt like a cheap spring mattress. My Grapefruit juice was served in a cup inside of a bowl and the same goes for the syrup.... I was confused by this. Staff is kind but not super professional. Our waitress told us in the middle of eating that she was going on break and from that point on, we had no waiter so we couldn't order anything else even if we wanted to. As for the food: I ordered the Corned Beef & Hash, Strawberry Cream Crepe, and the Eggnog French Toast. The Corned Beef & Hash was pretty good. Nice and fresh tasting and the egg was cooked well. The Crepe was very tasty. Could have been slightly less soggy but other than that, great strawberry sauce, amazing filling and nice presentation. The French Toast was pretty good as well. The toast was surprisingly soft and cooked well. The only negative thing about it was probably that you can't taste eggnog at all but it was still some pretty delicious French toast. Overall I'd say 4/5. If they updated their deco, trained employees a bit more and perfected the execution of some of the recipes, this place would be the ultimate breakfast spot. read more

With the ability to get a pumpkin crepe year round this is my one of my favorite breakfast spots! All of their pancake flavors are absolutely delicious and you better be hungry if you order the mountain that is the apple pancake! The omelettes are very large and made to order and won't disappoint. I wish their coffee was a little better, but it's pretty standard coffee for a diner.
