I was at the medical supply store when I saw the sign for Sub Cafe. I remember reading Yelp and seeing some reviews and decided to go in. It's fun when you walk in. It's totally a 50's style diner with a cutout of Elvis, and pictures of Marilyn Monroe and the . The booths look like car seats. I liked it! The restaurant is not huge, but they have big booths (7-8) that hold 2-4 people on each side. There was a line before me, about 6 men, and 2 cooks behind the counter. You order and they make it, then ask if you want to eat in or take out. I wanted to eat inside (although there are a few covered tables outside). It's very clean inside and a nice low key atmosphere. The cooks have an established routine. They can toast and grill and do both at once. One of the cooks apologized for the wait, but it was fine. They are both older men but quick and very pleasant. I ordered the ham and cheese with scrambled eggs on Cuban toast and it was delicious! Ham was salty enough to taste it and the Cuban bread was so fresh! It also was way bigger than I thought it would be! I could only finish half - but it was delicious. They serve breakfast all day and also have hamburgers, hotdogs, salads, gyros and few other things. All types of coffee from cuban to American. All in all I definitely would go back. I saw some Yelp reviews that said they had changed and were not very good before, but I disagree.

We've been coming to Subcafe for years! On every other visit, I would give 5 stars, but today, we waited for over 45 minutes for our two sandwiches to be made. Normally, we order our subs to go, but today, we had some free time and the weather was beautiful, so we decided to sit out on the patio. The server was so sweet and took our order shortly after being seated, but then we just waited and waited. I'm not sure what the issue was since it wasn't that busy, but regardless, the sub I ordered (hot zesty Italian) and the double smash burger my husband ordered were amazing. The burger wasn't actually a smash burger, so it ended up being two huge patties, but still delicious. It came with seasoned fries which I also really enjoyed.

This has been around for a long time but this is the first time that we've eaten here. There are 2 entrances; the entrance to the right is for dine-in and the entrance to the left is for take out. They also have outdoor seating if you prefer to sit outside which is what we did during our visit. My husband and I split a Philly Cheese Steak #2 which came with Onions, Green Peppers and Mushrooms. We were surprised at how delicious it was and that the bread was so soft! I don't know what seasoning they used but it was very flavorful. We're sad that we've never been here before and have been missing out all these years. We will definitely make this one of our "go to's"!

We were looking for a place for lunch and happened upon The Original Sub Cafe. We are happy we did. Service was perfect. Our server was friendly and made sure to ask all questions to make sure our order was perfect. The space is combo take out and sit down. It is clean and has highlight reviews on the ceiling. There is a giant car booth - which while kitch, it takes up a lot of space and if they are busy it can pose a problem. I had a tuna sub and an amazing cafe con leche. The tuna sub was fresh and not mayonnaisey tasting. My cafe con leche was the perfect temp and level of sugar. They offer 3 sizes of the cafe con leche and 2 sizes of the subs. I had the 8 inch and took 1/2 home. My daughter had an egg and cheese sandwich, which she loved and a can of Arizona Iced tea. My husband had a Cuban sandwich. He said it was nicely packed with meat and he ended up taking 1/2 home. We also ordered a side of fries. The pricing is very reasonable. Service was great. Food was great and we will definitely be back.

I don't know about the name, The Original Sub Café. This is definitely not a sub shop. It's more like a Cuban Cafè, but with a menu that has a nice amount of options. This is a very cool place. It's awesomely decorated. It's like a throwback late fifties early sixties diner. There is a nice amount of cool memorabilia everywhere, which includes the booths and the table tops. Although it takes up quite a bit of space, there is even a fifty-seven Chevy Belair cut away for a booth. It kind of reminds me of a restaurant in Disney, but with better quality food. Our server, she was great. She had a wonderful personality, she was friendly, really helpful and she made the experience even better. As for what we had. My daughter had an egg sandwich and a giant can of Arizona tea. "She inhaled it!" My wife ordered a café con lettche first, not only was it the largest café con lettche I have ever seen, but she said it was incredibly good! Then she got an eight inch tuna sandwich and a side of fries. Since I don't like tuna, I didn't try it, but she said it was really good. I did have some of the fries. They came out burning hot and were they good. I had a tough time deciding. It was between choosing a Cuban steak sandwich, a Media Noche, or a Cuban sandwich. I ended up going with the Cuban sandwich, which was a choice. I got the twelve inch with extra pickles. At first glance, I thought it wasn't pressed enough. Nope, it was just loaded with meat. Oh yeah, was it good. Next 6 think I'm going to try the Cuban steak sandwich. Oh, I almost forgot, no can soda, they have a soda fountain. They do have can soda available if you want one or some other soda. I'm definitely looking forward to eating here again.

Stopped here on the way home to Naples after a cruise out of Miami- what an excellent choice. Great, friendly service and food. Definitely a cute place with a 50s diner feel. The roast beef , Italian, and pork sandwich were all delicious. Give them a try!

Really impressed with this place. It's tucked away in the corner of a strip mall with a few other shops nearby. This place has been around awhile- good sign! The inside of the place is beautifully updated and totally takes you back in time. I love the open kitchen concept so you can see everything being made. They have a little bit of something for everyone, no matter what you're in the mood for they've got you covered. Also the sweetest nicest people work there. Overall, amazing experience (both times I've been there) and will be returning for more yummy food!

    Stay away from this place

Everything in this place can improve. The service wasn't good. They got my order wrong. It was a very simple order of eggs over easy and they couldn't get that right. I would absolutely recommend no one go to this place. It is absolutely terrible. The wrong order cost me $24 for eggs. This is a terrible terrible place to eat.I would absolutely stay away from this place. Make sure they get your order right the first time if not, they will mess it up and charge you.

Like the proverbial tortoise, it took three years for me to get here but I made it! I have always seen signs for this eatery while driving around the Nova Southeastern University area or sitting in line next door at Pollo. Yes today!! This was the day to inch my way there and what a wonderful surprise. The plaza they sit in and the look from afar doesn't do the food justice. They have a tranquil setting for outdoor dining, as well as a "greasy spoon" vibe inside. But, there's nothing "greasy" about their menu. In fact, as their name implies, they are well known for the best subs in the area, but I would say it goes way beyond this zealot zone of foodies. On my first try, happy to see that gyros were offered, that's what I ordered. A very pleasant and personable Osvaldo took my order. It was busy and I could tell by the number of returning customers that greeted him (with one bringing him a bottle of wine, and two ladies identifying themselves from behind their masks as "we are the Atlanta customers"), that this place was worth the wait--even getting back to the office late. Standing in line, I perused the area and immediately the red & white classic car booth came into view. Since I mentioned that I'd soon be late to the office, Ozzie quickly handed me the best gyro I've ever had--particularly because the Greek pita was the freshest and the lamb? Yum!! It was thinly sliced and flavorful. Taking the cappuccino to-go, I vowed to return soon. You'll just have to check them out for yourself.

From the moment we walked in, we were transported from an ordinary strip mall setting into a charming English tea room filled with flowers, beautiful décor, cozy seating, and even fun royal family cutouts for photos. We chose the Duchess Tea Package, which included a pot of tea, soup or salad, and a three-tiered selection of sandwiches and desserts. The sandwiches were delicious, featuring favorites like tuna salad, egg salad, turkey, and croissant sandwiches. We also enjoyed scones, macarons, cheesecake, and other sweet treats. You can also opt to order regular menu brunch items like eggs Benedict, crepes , or French toast . To make the birthday celebration extra special, I ordered desserts for my friends, which were beautifully presented while the staff sang "Happy Birthday." It was such a thoughtful touch. The tea was acceptable. My visit was in February for high tea, and I left feeling disrespected and uncomfortable. Upon arrival, I approached lady Hostess A and requested an indoor table. She informed me that the indoor seating was full but suggested I could sit anywhere outside. I proceeded to seat myself. There was no queue or other patrons waiting at that time. Mr. Waiter J..later informed me about reported issues with bees in the outdoor area, which I understood. I reiterated my preference for indoor seating, explaining that Hostess A had indicated no availability inside, which led me to the outdoor area. After I placed my order, other patrons arrived. Hostess A escorted them to outdoor tables and provided them with menus. This pattern continued with subsequent arrivals. I observed that all the patrons she seated shared a similar skin tone to hers, unlike myself. Furthermore, after patrons departed from the indoor area, Hostess A personally re-entered the outdoor area to escort these new arrivals inside, despite their arrival significantly after mine. One patron, whom she seated indoors, later returned outside..The inside was full but many cluents left in groups freeibg uo various table indore..She appeared to have many options..options that i was not offrerd after i my wish was express that i wanted an inside table Lady A indicating that indoor seating had been available. I shared my observations with him, and he offered me an indoor table, which I declined at that point. His exemplary teamwork and service in addressing the disrespect and unfavorable treatment I experienced were didpleased . My waiter, Mr. J.. was ok.. When I shared my observations with him, he suggested that Hostess A might have forgot about me. I found this particularly noteworthy given that two patrons were seated within arm's length of me, requiring her to navigate around me. My table was also positioned beside the entrance, a high-traffic area for incoming guests. While I acknowledged the possibility of oversight, I also reflected on the unfortunate phenomenon where individuals of differing skin tones are sometimes marginalized as in my case. I sat outside and while the bees was competing with my food. Mr. Jeh...consistently refilled my tea and checked on me frequently. The waiter also checked on me and acknowledged the bee issue. Mr. Jel ....was professionalism, kindness, and efficiency in attempting to rectify the situation were commendable. I wasn't impressed with my first taste of my coffee and thought it just tasted like coffee but after mixing everything completely, it was really good! I had some leftover coffee and drank it the next day and it was even better! I had a sip of the Coffee Bombom which was also very good. I think it had marshmallow cold foam and 2 shots of espresso. My daughter was happy with her drink. The Nutella Croissant was heated up and the box it was in was nice and warm. She ate it while I was driving and I could hear the crispiness of it as she was cutting into the flaky layers. She let me try some and it was delicious! I was really impressed with how fresh it was, especially since it was around 2 pm. The coffee that they use is from Wells Coffee which is a local family owned coffee roaster. I'm glad we found this place and can't wait to come back to try other items on the menu. Come check this place out. It's a 2 for 1, you'll be supporting two local family-owned business!

This place was okay. I got a dulce de leche iced coffee and it was pretty good, along with a…read moretequeño & beef empanada. My main issue is the service. When I got there, I was the only in line to order and the place wasn't really packed either. I ordered, sat down and opened my laptop to work a bit. I noticed it was taking a while, but also realized there was only person working in the back for the food, and the guy in front was doing all the drinks himself, so I gave the benefit of the doubt. I then noticed that the people coming in after me were getting their orders before I was. After a bit, I went up to the guy and turns out my coffee had just been sitting out for God knows how long. I'm irritated because 1. You brought other people their order to their table, so why didn't you bring me mine if you obviously saw that I was sitting down with my laptop open, not waiting on the side as if it was a to-go order. 2. Instead of at least alerting me that my drink was ready so I can go up and get it, you just let it sit there while chit chatting with two customers. 3. It took 30 minutes for a tequeño and empanada to be warmed up, and even then you gave it to me in a to go bag while everybody else got theirs on a nice plate. Mind you, he didn't even ask if it was for here or to go when I initially ordered, but at the same time, if it was to go, I would've waited by the register, but I literally sat down with my laptop open, so I thought it would be pretty obvious I was there to dine-in. There was a girl that sat next to me who came in maybe 5 minutes after, and we both gave each other a look like "where is our order?" And of course, it was just sitting out. Overall, food and drinks were not worth it, especially with the service. Looking at other reviews, I also see other people on the same boat. This place is adorable and has potential, but not with this type of service.

Just the coziest little cafe!…read more As usual, Sunday mornings are lazy. So to Yelp we go! Ally's is a cozy, southern inspired cafe with great food at great prices. It's small, not fancy, but the food and service speak for themselves. Their breakfast menu is far from an IHOP or Denny's; it features real food, and in large portions. Loved that we were also able to order off of their lunch menu. The Ruben was delicious! The ambience of this diner is charming and laid-back, and with decor that includes art and photos of inspiring and humorous quotes. The staff are attentive, always checking on you. Will be returning!

The servers were super nice and helpful from the moment we came in and also to help us pick what we wanted to order. The menu has a lot of variety and we loved everything we tried! The american coffee was freshly made and it tasted good like smoky and with a lot fo flavor. We tried the fresh ricotta and blueberry croissant, breakfast burrito, farmers omelette and white chocolate pancakes, all the food was delicious and homemade. The side of potatoes on the omelette was also soooo good... Portions were big, we took half of the food to go cause we were full! So if you are looking for authentic American breakfast don't miss this place! Ps: they also have specials on a white board so make sure to ask for those ;)
