What a terrible experience all around. My family and I used to love this restaurant. Unfortunately, both the quality of food and the service have plummeted horribly. Of the three burgers my family and I ordered only one of them was made correctly. The other three were nothing close to what we ordered. The chili was cold and all of the burgers looked like they had been stepped on before they were served to us. To top it all off there was only 1 care ahead of us in the drive through and we still sat there for 17 min. I tried to call the restaurant multiple times after leaving to speak to the manager regarding these unacceptable issues and was ignored. Just left Tommy's very upset. We waited in the drive through for about 15 minutes with 1 car infront of us. We get to the window and they tell us that their system just broke, and we would need to go to an ATM to get cash. Are you kidding me. Total was $23 something. My hubby had a $20 and I had about $2 in change and they wouldn't accept that. The lady manager was very unreasonable with us, she said she would have to cancel a drink. We come to this Tommy's often and I felt very unappreciated as a customer. It honestly made me really sad. This happened today 5/25 at about 8pm. I work as a food delivery driver and come to this location often for pickups. They are usually pretty slow and seem bored to work here but this time I encountered the rudest workers, and just had to say something. The girl at the register takes forever to even acknowledge someone is there, and the kitchen people peek out to make rude comments to people in the restaurant. When I mentioned that the wait time is excessive, even though the place was almost empty, one guy yelled that they are busy and everybody is waiting. Mind you, there was no one waiting. I just went through the Tommy's drive-through and I can't believe the service that I encountered. I told the young man, who took my order, for two of their chili cheese fries and a small cherry Coke. I got to the window, paid for my food and realized that he did not give me my soda. I asked one of the servers if she could give me my small cherry Coke that I paid for since the guy who originally gave me my food was nowhere in sight. Another young man, a Hispanic guy with a mustache, came to the window and gave me my small Coke. As I attempted to leave the drive-through, he said I had to pay for my soda. I told him that I already paid for it and he gave me attitude saying that the original guy had not rung it up to begin with (even though he repeated my order to me in the drive-through). I told him that the guy charged me for it and this guy gave me nothing, but attitude the entire time. I then re-paid for my drink. I then asked him a question about my credit card since it requires a pin, and this time it didn't, he said, "No," and shut the window in my face and continued doing whatever he was doing. He did not wish me a "good night," or at least say, "Sorry for the inconvenience, ma'am," or "Hope to see you again soon." Nothing. He made absolutely no eye contact with me whatsoever. ive had Tommy's bookmarked on yelp for a while now, every time I've visited los Angeles i wanted to try it but the nearest location would be too far from my hotel room... not this time. me my wife, our kids, my brother in law, his wife and kids all came here super hungry after spending all day at Six Flags seriously we were hungry! Im not lying when I tell you as we were in line it was a guy eating his meal at his table and the chilli must of been sooooo good he was literally sucking & licking his fingers! and he didn't stop there lol after licking his fingers he started licking the box that the chilli cheese fries come in! he licked the inside of the box, the outside of the box he didn't leave one drop of chilli nowhere on his tray or hands! we was laughing so hard in line but excited too bcuz one would think Jesus Christ himself made this chilli lol man we ordered about 50 dollars or more worth of food between us! We decided to hold the chili because it was going to be too messy. Instead, we ordered some chili fries so we could customize the amount of chili on the burger if we wanted. Holding the chili exposes the Tommy burger for what it is...average. After the first bite, I found myself spreading chili on the bun just to make the burger more interesting. My wife, who had never been to Tommy's before, was not impressed. In the L.A. fast-food burger triumvirate, Tommy's is a distant third to both In-N-Out and Fatburger (I prefer Fatburger, wife prefers In-N-Out). We both agreed our wives wouldn't touch this stuff but my buddy and I love this chili. We love fat covered fat dishes and this fit that bill nicely. So I came here on my recent trip to the greater LA area, this time bringing my own daughter. I ordered chili cheese fries, and a chili dog. They really dont scrimp on the chili, It is chili with only meat. All over everything. I should have gone just chili dog with regular fries. I over did it. The dog is salty and I love all the toppings they put on the dog. My 8 month old daughter liked the chili for about 5 bites. I left feeling like a grease bomb was going off in my gut. I left over 1/2 the chili on my fries and it was still too much. Not the right spot for me. I am way more an In'n'Out girl. First review I've ever done. I'm not a Yelper, I don't take the time to review because I usually don't care enough. However I've got a few minutes to kill so why not? First off, I'm not a fast food eater, but we're on our way to Disneyland with the family and we stopped for a quick bite at the location near Magic Mountain. Let me say that the most flavorful part of the meal was the bag of Doritos that my son got. I didn't know that every burger came with chili, and that's not really appealing to me so I went with their Classic Burger. It was quite possibly the most bland burger I've ever tasted. The thousand island was tasteless, the tomato was more pale pink than red and again had no flavor. The patties were paper thin and blah, good thing I got the double! One person in our group got chili cheese fries, and they tasted as horrible as they looked. The consensus was that they tasted like dirty dish water. First time writing a review for a fast food place. I've been a fan of Tommy's for ages it seems. Great food. Good Prices. The reason I'm writing a review today is strictly because of the OUTSTANDING service I just received. I stopped by at 1:20am for a late night snack. They close at 2:00am and most employees are probably pretty tired and have only going home in mind. I was surprised to hear a very upbeat cheerful voice on the drive thru speaker even though I was the only car there at the time. At the window I was greeted very politely by KEVIN (read his name tag). He was extremely nice and professional and the cooking staff seemed just as personable. They didn't mind a last minute change at the window to make the burger well done. Excellent service overall. Best experiene I've had at a drive thru in a while. I gave this location one star because of the food tasting decent. The lack of other stars is because of how disgusting the restaurant was! Every trash was full, there was no napkins in any bins, the countertops for the soda machine and at the order counter was sticky and had old food stuck on them. When I was in the restroom, it was horrible! There was a period stain on the floor and toilet! There was no toilet paper or paper towels! It was bad. And then while we attempted to eat, employees were just sitting around talking to their friends and other coworkers. And in the display case for the bottled drinks there was empty starbucks cups and Ben and jerry's with nasty spoons in the display case. It was disgusting.
