I had a mouse issue in my kitchen, and when Dewey came out before for squirrel issues in the attic, it was never a problem for them to access my apartment when I wasn't home. I would leave a key or arrange for someone to let them in, and it was always handled smoothly. Today, however, things were very different. I had to take my dog to the vet unexpectedly, so I called Dewey to ask if I could leave the door open for them. The first person I spoke to quickly said, "Yes, of course, no problem," which was a relief given the situation. But later, I got a message saying they had missed me, which caught me off guard. When I called back to clarify, I was put on hold, hung up on, and then had to speak with a different representative, who told me I had to be present--something that had never been an issue before. It was frustrating, especially since I was dealing with my sick dog and feeling exhausted. On top of that, I've already had ongoing issues with my property management, who should have addressed this mouse problem months ago when I first reported it. After escalating to a manager, they finally agreed to service the apartment without me there, but it took more back-and-forth than expected. Overall, I just wish the communication had been clearer from the start, as this added stress could have been avoided, I have neighbors that have keys or could have opened the door but in my jumbled state of mind I didn't think about it.

After my initial call, I knew I had made the right choice. The agent who answered my call was very helpful, friendly, understanding, and professional. I scheduled an appointment, and after one treatment, all bug problems were gone. Fast forward to a week ago. I saw a single water bug run across my front lawn while watering. Fearing these pests had returned and taken over the bottom of my home, I called this company again. The agent I spoke with was very friendly and professional, just like the first time I called four years ago. I arranged an inspection at a time that fit my schedule, which I really appreciated, unlike other companies that just tell you when they're available. On the day of my appointment, Joe came out and did a full inspection. Joe told me he found moisture in two areas under my home (I will contact a plumber soon), but the good news is that he didn't see any live water bugs--only a few dead ones. Joe was very friendly and polite, taking time to explain several options his company offers to prevent bugs from coming back. I will be using this company in the upcoming weeks for prevention. They spent 4 days totally repairing all the wood damaged and 1 day on paint. I want to specially call out that our main carpenter Adrian F. did a great quality job and addressed all of my concerns. There is another carpenter Eric who worked one day with Adrian who also did a good job. The tenting was done and scheduled accordingly. We also had Daniel come in and perform the bora care treatment professionally. There were some hassles in between including the underestimation of number of days that were needed for wood repair. Scheduling issues that 5 days of repair work got scattered into 4 weeks. The first day one carpenter put a dent on my brand new AC unit when he hammered down the fascia board. Also one section of the wood support was not done right, more than 2 rafter tails in a row got cut the roof eave so it was sagging and caused us a panic. They sent their manager to address our concerns and assure that it was corrected and that the correct work would be done. The carpenters fixed the previous mistakes and did great work in the end. So overall not a smooth experience yet I am willing to give it 5 stars because they did honor the original quote, and ended up doing more wood repair than originally quoted as it was discovered during the process. Thus going above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied with the work despite the initial issues.

Good businesses communicate pricing upfront and obtain customer approval before billing. After disputing the charge, I was threatened with having the account reported to collections and negatively affecting my credit. I also had concerns about whether the service was actually performed as claimed. Because of these concerns, I filed a complaint and requested documentation showing the work that was completed. I believe customers deserve transparency, clear communication, and proof of services before being billed. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this company.

I understand staff changes but I didn't have time or energy to micromanage that process and as a result I had to pay more to use them due to rats returning, it didn't seem to have fixed the problem since I'm having an issue again. The second time I used them, they were more diligent with the scheduling but I still had to remind them at least once to refill the bait boxes or check on them. I will not be using them again.
