I've been to NOLA several times...always have to get some crawfish and oysters! Last February when I went back, we went to Orlando's and omg they had the biggest crawfish I've ever seen. They were sooooo good and meaty! Messy and delicious but is there any other ways to do it! And the oysters....char-broiled...yum! Everything was so fresh and amazing. And very reasonably priced, we were surprised at how expensive it was. It was so good that we went back a second time during our trip!

Sad looking plate of seafood. The shrimp was so over cooked that it was like rubber. Catfish was water and soggy like it frozen. I have no word for the "crab cake"

Sauted New Potatoes it was awesome!!!

Well all I can say was I wish they were closer to my house... Well worth the drive and your time.... Cost was well worth it they hit a home rub... I don't rave much but I will here please stop and eat if and when you can.... Enjoy the local atmosphere also!!

Tasty dish! Fresh ingredients, bold flavors, but slow service and pricey for quality.

Do not go here unless you want to wait two hours for your entree. This is not a joke. I have eaten here 3 times and will never return.

What an amazing experience with service, ambience and the exceptional flavors this restaurant…read moreoffers! Truly the biggest gem in Madisonville! We dined here late lunch/early dinner. The decor from street view of the restaurant is welcoming and yet, once you walk inside it gives you the artsy, modern & sophistication to another world. I was pleasantly surprised and admire this take in its art form. We ordered 3 plates to share, Calamari, Cevice Clasico, & Pulpo Anticuchero & a couple Pisco sours. Each dish was plated and cooked perfectly, especially the octopus. Octopus is usually overcooked in most establishments, but not here... it was melt in your mouth outstanding. I honestly can reorder those plates again for the next visit because they are actually that outstanding. They do have a speakeasy (upstairs) open on Friday's and Saturdays which is themed to Scarface and even have a connecting outside front patio lounge to that. Unfortunately they weren't open at the time, as we visited on a Sunday. But we still got a pretty cool tour by our awesome server. Needless to say, this place has won our hearts and we will be back to try more! Note: if all the parking spots are taken in front of the river, there is ample parking right behind the restaurant.

I guess the branzino father's days special made the day!! We sat at the bar and had the ceviche as app along with some Spanish brut to wash it down the proper way.. lol.. for entrees we tried the whole branzino fried fish, the wings and the ribs and all were amazing !! Sarah was our server and she was welcoming and chatty which we like in a waitress ! Restaurant was nice decorated and kept same vibe in downtown New Orleans .. we will definitely be back!

We stopped in for Sunday brunch on my daughters birthday and had another fantastic meal…read more I ordered the Louisiana Crabmeat Sardou, and it was outstanding. Think eggs Benedict with a Louisiana crabmeat twist. It starts with a buttery homemade biscuit topped with a whole artichoke heart, creamed spinach, a perfectly poached egg, hollandaise, and caviar. It's served with a generous portion of lump crabmeat and a side of potatoes. With so many rich components, I expected it to be heavy, but everything was surprisingly balanced. Every bite worked together, and it was an incredibly delicious dish. My wife ordered the French Dip, which was the brunch special, and she absolutely raved about it. The shaved ribeye was incredibly tender, the Gruyère added just the right richness, and the au jus was packed with flavor. My daughter, who considers herself a burger connoisseur, insists their Brunch Burger is the best burger she's ever had. She ordered it again today, and it only reinforced that opinion. I also tried the Golden Hour cocktail, and it may have become my new favorite. I highly recommend giving it a try. From the food to the service, everything was exceptional. Tchefuncte's continues to deliver one of our favorite brunch experiences, and we can't wait to stop in again the next time we're in the area.

The service was phenomenal! It was for an anniversary, and they made sure to tell us happy anniversary, and add it to a little sign that was left on our table. Now for the main part: the food. Fried Oysters and Pork Belly - very good, if you get this make sure you eat them together (that was our "best bite" for that serving). Wedge Salad - one of the best wedge salad's we have had. The blue cheese dressing was creamy (rather than chunky blue cheese). It had crispy shoestring onion strings that almost acted as the croutons. I loved every bite that included lettuce, tomatoes, onion, and bacon. Delmonico Steak - this was probably our overall favorite item. Just a great steak, and large enough for both of us to enjoy. Redfish - this was good, not great. Would probably try something else other than this if we went back. Tchefuncte Potatoes - they almost were like a twice baked potato (flavor wise), but they are super creamy and fluffy and then turned into a lightly fried ball. Good and very unique. Crème Brûlée - if you like crème brûlée then you will enjoy it here. A classic dessert that was delicious. And to top it all off, the ambiance was great. It is right on the water, and service was very attentive.

I wasn't expecting much but we ended up pleasantly surprised. The interior seems similar to other types of walk up counter local restaurants, dated but it works. The lady at the counter was helpful and nice. For the lunch time rush, they got food out pretty quickly and what we ordered was fresh and so good. The French bread was so soft. The fish was plentiful and flavorful. The red beans and rice was comforting and the hush puppies were good as well. We would absolutely return.

Having been away from the Deep South for far too long I stayed with my daily routine of eating seafood since there is nothing like the seafood from this metro area. I ordered the Shrimp Po-Boy Combo. The sandwich was great! I loved the French Bread too. The shrimp were delicious as were their fries. I couldn't leave without at least an ice cream cone. It was really piled high with creamy soft serve ice cream on a cake cone. Service was good throughout my stay. A lot of folks with kids coming in for ice cream too.
