Not really sure why you would come here, if your not associated with the university. If you are associated with the university, im still not sure why you would come here. Its basically just a campus dinning hall. Usually faculty and grad students come through. The line isnt bad, even at peak hours during the semester. Theyre pretty efficient. Theyre best option is a chopped salad. Pretty standard chopped salad. Its filling enough. They serve with pita slices. I personally dont like the salad for lunch thing. Other good options include enchiladas. I think those are not offered everyday. Very cheesy and greasy. Also the sweet potatoes fries are pretty good. Im a sucker for sweet potato fries. In terms, of the campus lunch scene i think pinch (a truck on 22nd) and wendys in jester are both better options in terns of value and quality. Im also a sucker for a frostee.

Usually O's is "okay". Their food is usually a hit or a miss but man! Today's roast beef was just absolutely inedible. Things that are probably less chewy than my roast beef: Rubber, a tire, the eraser on the end of my pencil Man that roast beef! The vegetables and mashed potatoes were great but the main course was just really terrible. No amount of salt and pepper could save that hunk of tasteless meat. I really hope they improve their quality of food. Usually its just "average" but there are some times where it is truly really bad.

Service: 3 | Quality: 2 | Setting: 3 | Value: 2 Must get: Enchiladas (Thursday only) Convenient and overpriced are words usually used to describe O's Campus Cafe. They recently renovated and put in new tables, but other than that the workers are constantly managing and pushing a long line, and aren't receptive to your questions about the menu or food offerings. Expect to pay $10 for a meal that would cost around $5 anywhere else. The food can best be described as "adequate." If you forgot your lunch and need somewhere fast for a variety of offerings, get your credit card ready.

chicken enchilada... most disappointing meal i've had in years

I pretty much ate here for an entire semester b/c I was new to the UT campus as a grad student and didn't know where else to eat. I determined that Peter O's Burger provided the highest amount of quantity/satisfaction with the lowest amount of money (bang for the bucks) so that's what I got every time. It didn't taste very good but at least I'm full afterwards. Yup, life of a grad student. But after exploring the other parts of campus, I decided to come back here again to try something other than Peter O's Burger. Honestly, I have NO IDEA what's so good about the enchiladas. Seriously. What the heck. For over $7.50, I got this small piece of enchilada, super salty rice and beans, and the chips were just tiny crumbs. I posted up a picture of how unappetizing it was. I forced everything down b/c I was really hungry. But even afterwards, I wasn't even half full and had to go get more food. It was one of the most disappointing meals I've had in a looooong time. It looked bad, it tasted bad, and it's probably really unhealthy. For around $7.50, I could have gotten a foot long sub with double meat at Subway or a Chipotle bowl with some guac. The only advantage of this place is the location. That's it. It's nicely situated among the engineering buildings, just a little closer than the SAC and the Union. But because of my latest experience, O's just lost any leverage it had over me with the distance.

Fabulous! My friend…read moreTiffany told me about Anthem on Rainy Street. Neither of us had been, and also it's been years since we've been on Rainy Street. So we thought we would make a whole night of it. Tiffany did make reservations for us for 7pm and even though this is a bar hopping neighborhood, even at 7pm it was pretty busy. Streets were full of people. Anthem had a vibe. I felt the energy as soon as I waked in. The cozy booths with the U shaped seating with plush green velvet fabric. Wait staff wore Hawaiian shirts. Sitting up behind me on a ledge was the Easter Island statue. Insert (Night At The Museum) here, dumb dumb give me gum gum. Anthem was our first stop tonight. Just drinks and a dinner. I ordered the Peach Fuzzy drink. Not too sweet, refreshing, peachy, and beautiful garnish of a flower. I ordered the Yummy Fries which looked like a salad. Gorgeous presentation. Fries were actually waffle sweet potatoes. Pickled ginger, sesame seeds, furikake, aïoli and a few other wonderful ingredients. Could not get over how beautiful everything looked. Presentation outstanding. Service delightful. Had a wonderful time at Anthem. We both did use the ladies rooms before leaving. Inside the bathroom there is a sign about safety and if you need assistants. I did take a picture of it. On our way out, Brian the manager, said good night to us and waved. We later saw Brian at another place. And I'll write about that in my review for that place as well. Brian, you're Doll, thank you for your hospitality.

We were excited to try the food, and were hungry. Our server appeared (I can't remember his name but he was a short guy with blond hair). I ordered a cocktail and my husband ordered beer to begin with. He went away and then came back asking my husband if he wanted some whiskey cocktail, and we corrected him that we had asked for a particular beer. No big deal. We then ordered the deviled eggs and shishito peppers, and the red fish and short ribs for entree. A lady brought us the drinks, and the deviled eggs. Our server swung by and then disappeared. We thought the shishito peppers were on their way. We waited for what seemed like a really long time and still no shishito peppers. We also noticed that each table had a carafe of water except ours. We were just given water once, and then our server never bothered to fill the water up. Anyway, we kept waiting since there was no sign of the server. At this point, we felt he might have forgotten the second appetizer and we just did not want it, but he was nowhere to be found. A man (not our server) brought out our entrees. We then told him that we had been waiting for our second appetizer and would just want to cancel it. We asked if we could get the biscuits instead. He brought out the biscuits within a few minutes. Now this is where it really annoyed us. Had our server just come over and said he had forgotten our shishito peppers, it would have been okay. Human. What he tried was act smart and dropped by saying the shishito peppers would be out to which we said that we didn't want an appetizer after an entree and had cancelled it. I almost felt like he was treating us as if he thought we don't really dine out or whatever and he could just make fools of us. This really didn't sit right with me. We asked him for water and he filled it up left. The food was above average. The short ribs were good but my red fish had been hammered! The biscuits were good. The deviled eggs were good as well. Anyway, we finished our meal, and got the check, paid, and were waiting to finish our drinks. The receipt was on our table. Also, note, it was not a particularly busy day with several empty tables. What our server did next was absolutely unacceptable. I think he wanted to see if we had tipped him after his awful service. We did, but not 20% as we always do because of the soddy job he did, not to mention his attitude. We paid 15% which I think was more than what he deserved now. Out of nowhere, and mind you, after being absent for long periods before, he just came by, grabbed the paid up bill from our table to our shock, while we were still sitting and talking, looked at the bill, turned towards us, and muttered something angry under his breath and walked away. I have never seen this level of entitlement and bad behavior. We left right away. We had been really looking forward to this meal but I would not want to go back. The food was good, but not great, and I would not want to put up with such obnoxious behavior as a paying customer.

The menu is on the smaller side, but that only makes it feel more intentional. Every dish is thoughtfully executed, beautifully presented, and cooked with so much precision. I always order the espresso martini because it truly hits differently here, along with the chicken heart skewer, which is incredibly rich, tender, and full of flavor. From there, we usually add another appetizer and a protein entrée, whether it's steak or fish, and I honestly haven't had a bad dish yet. Everything is consistently cooked perfectly and feels unique enough to make the meal memorable every time. Overall, this is one of those restaurants that always feels special, whether you're stopping in for a casual dinner at the bar or celebrating something more meaningful.

The quail had amazing crispy outside and the meat seasoned well, the creamed corn went well and finally the strawberry cream puff had nothing left. So delicious. I love that the restaurant basically wraps around the kitchen to give a full on experience.

Had not been to this restaurant in a good while, and was a last minute decision. Good choice. Beet salad excellent, but the Fresno peppers had way too much heat, so pushed them to side.
