Oscar and his brother provided a reliable, professional, and timely moving experience. They wrapped our furniture in thick moving blankets and covered the wooden floors at our new home to prevent any scratches. They worked hard the entire time they were on the job and were communicative, asking where we would like our furniture to be placed. Do not use this company. I called this company because I saw them outside of my apartment building that I was moving from the very next month, so I called Oscar the owner and we set a date and a time of 8am. I received a text from Oscar with a picture of my apartment building but I had no idea what that meant. So I walked outside to see if he had a ride and sure enough ask her and two other guys were sitting outside my apartment. And I looked and I said hey I didn't know you were here you text a picture but I didn't know what that meant. He's like well I was here on time I was like well I text you to ask you were you there so he immediately had a nasty attitude with me and if I didn't need his services that day I would've told him to leave so I said well you don't need to be so unprofessional he said well I'll show you unprofessional. I just ignore it the comment because I needed to get my things out of the apartment that day. Several times that day I caught Oscar staring me down and rolling his eyes and his guys and one of and one of his workers told my friend that he told ask her to call me but I ask her refused I'm not sure what the attitude was for but it was really uncalled for. Because I am a customer and I didn't do anything wrong in this instance. I also saw Oscar slamming a piece of my furniture down so I thought maybe he just drop you note and set it down hard. So we got everything So we got everything loaded onto the truck and into storage. So I So I checked my things a week later that were brought to storage and several items were damaged I have a big gash on my bed my sofa is straight and a lot of my furniture is damaged. I called ask her to tell him that he missed treated my items and that he damaged a lot of my furniture and I have still yet to hear from him and because I paid him cash he's not responding. The reviews were not great to begin with but I decided to give him a chance anyway if you want your furniture protect it if you want or professional to move you do not use this company. Oscar is very rude and his attitude is very nasty and you will have damaged items if you use this company. I will be reporting him to the Better Business Bureau as well be aware.. From "Hero" to "Zero".... our family called Oscars for a second move because when they moved our furniture upstairs the first time we had no complaints. However, their care and attitude changed drastically....this was one was the worst move and movers I've had. Oscar brought a 2 man crew with himself...I guess to speed up the move... but a lot of the time only the 2 other men were helping, I looked out and saw him talking to a neighbor across the street for quite awhile and not helping in my move which I'm paying him for... Im retired and had a tight budget and had only 500 to spend...he was told this when he was booked so I had this company only move my heavy items, however they worked soooo slow so I had to leave some of the heavy items behind and deal with later. When they loaded the truck, I gave them the new address and told them I would meet them at the location. I got a call about 20 min and was told they couldnt find the address, they got lost? How is that possible? Don't they use Google maps or something on their phone to find addresses? Directions? I went to the bank for money because Oscar kept Saying to me "cash only" and you have cash? It was upsetting because I told him when he first arrived I would pay cash, his tone was rude. I met the crew at the new location and see Oscar eating his lunch. Time was short so I didn't have enough money for them to move my items into the house but only into my garage. As they moved items into the garage they placed a rounded sectional couch piece on top of 2 square wardrobe box's, it didn't look very steady on top the box's and wobbled on top. I told Poncho that it didn't look very safe, they continued moving boxs into garage. I then moved box's upstairs by myself. About 15 to 20 minutes later As poncho Oscar and myself were in the garage the rounded section suddenly rolled off the wardrobe box's and fell onto my wife's granite cafe table and knocking it over breaking into pieces. The 2 of them blamed me immediately saying I moved a box. I said I moved the box 20 minutes ago, and nothing fell, and the box I moved wasn't even touching the furniture that fell. They never said "sorry" or "oops" . They said nothing but it was my fault....After a brief discussion and the two of them ganging up on me and blaming me they continued working. They finished moving my belongings into the garage. Oscar asked for $450 (for 3 1/2 hr work...he was charging me $125 per hour for 3 men.) I said no and negotiated it down to $380. With Zero tip. The next day I was in garage looking at my belongings and discovered more damage to underside of a couch ottoman and wood bed rails. I find one of my mattresses which was covered by a plastic bag but the open end of the mattress was placed down on the ground? UGH!!! Worst movers ever! read more

I was recommended them by a co-worker who had a good experience with them but my experience was the opposite they arrived late which was already a red flag and they moved slowly they picked up my couch on its side tearing the leather armrest using a dolly I had a 10 x 20 unit was maybe half full was taking so long I started packing stuff into the moving truck so all in all it cost me 300 for them to travel to me and an additional 600 for them to move what should have been 3 hours of work 4 at most read more

Oscar and his family have moved us 5 times over the last 12 years. They are the only company I will use to move. They are incredibly fast at loading up everything and in 5 moves they have never damaged any of our furniture. This last move my family did not have time to pack up our garage. Oscar's guys packed everything up and unloaded it in the new garage just as they found everything. They are also priced better than any other mover I have gotten a quote from. read more

From observation alone, I would never hire these movers. They serviced a new tenant to my apartment complex. I watched them move the tenant in and if they were moving my belongings, l'd have just told them to unload the truck and leave everything outside so I could move it in myself. Also, the men doing the work have no regard whatsoever for other people in the building. They seemed to be trying to make as much noise and commotion as they could, stomping up and down stairs and letting their empty hand-truck slam down each step on their return trips. This guy was a no show on move-in day. I was hesitant to hire him at first because he seemed a bit disorganized but I wanted to support his business and help it grow. I was accommodating to his schedule. He told me he could only come at 7 a.m. so I made my plans around his schedule because I understand he is a small business. Come moving day, I was ready to start moving my things and waited around 20 minutes before calling him to ask where the movers were. He informed me that they were on their way. He then called me back to tell me they couldn't arrive until 1. He then told me to find someone else. Finally, around noon he told me he could send his guys at 3 p.m. At this point, I had already arranged to rent a U-Haul. Thankfully I had a friend with me. We ended up moving everything out of my old place and into my new place BY OURSELVES. Hire this guy at your own risk. Know that it is possible he might leave you hanging on move-in day if he gets a better offer. read more

The first time from Laguna Niguel to San Pedro in 2014 and the second time this past week from San Pedro to Napa Valley and I can say that both times, the move went off exactly as planned and without any problem whatsoever! Oscar, Francisco, Eric and the rest of their crew accomplished the latest move in the most efficient manner with not a single item broken or misplaced. I scheduled a mover to move on a Wednesday morning. Last minute he called and told me he cannot make it and referred this company to me. I looked up on Yelp and cannot find them, so I was a little worried. 8am, they show up on time, with a BIG 26ft truck, way over what I need, with two people plus his son. Immediately they went to work. I boxed all the small stuff already so it was pretty easy. But all the big stuff like TV, furniture, and mattress, they would shrink-wrap them before they move. Here are my impressions: 1. Very attentive, whatever you tell them to do, they do it. No attitude, no complaint, just do it. 2. They are careful, but if you want something to be handled with extra care, just tell Oscar and he will personally handles it. 3. The most important thing is that Oscar is very straight forward. I heard some horror stories about movers taking the furniture hostage, and trying to milk more time, or more money from you. Not these guys, what he quoted was what he expected. We finished the job under the 3 hour minimum so Oscar whip out his calculator, calculated 3 hour, plus a $30 disposal fee for a big broken futon, and show me the total. That's what he expected, nothing more. So when I tipped him extra, he was genuinely appreciated. I asked him how come his business is not on Yelp since he is been doing this for 4 years? He told me he only does referrals and that keeps him busy already, plus don't know about Yelp. So I encouraged him to put up a Yelp page, at least to let his future customers know that his business is real! Good People! read more

We have used Oscar 3 time's & would not hesitate to use him again. He takes care off your furniture like it's his! We bought a smaller new home & some of our bedroom furniture did not fit. We had Oscar come & take it to my Aunt & Cousins out in West Covina. He assembled it all for them & removed their old furniture. We used Bekin's on our move back to So. CA. from WA. we had a dented tool box, my Amour was chipped, lamp shade had grease all over it & one of the bed frames was busted. Some stuff was never even wrapped! I've moved quite a few times and have never had such hard working, careful and pleasant movers. I can't recommend them enough. I've had awful luck with other moving companies. The other guys take a lot of breaks to smoke or make phone calls. They seem to stretch it out. But not Oscar's... They wouldn't even take a break when I tried to insist. They got things done quickly and treated our things like their own. They also were creative in problem solving. I've used them twice and impressed and satisfied both times. read more

The best moving experience ever. Oscar was so pleasant to speak with when I first called for the quote. No fine prints, just simple rate and minimum hours. His rates are much more affordable than many others I've checked with. The movers arrived right at 7am as scheduled. All 3 movers were so professional and courteous. The movers were so considerate when stepping into both of my places, mindfully cleaning their shoes and placing carpets through the area where they stepped in. No smoking, no talking on the phone; only moving the furniture with utmost care! And they move so fast, too. I got them a box of donuts which isn't a big deal, but they were so gracious and grateful in accepting them. I wish I had gotten something better for them! :) I was referred by a friend of mine to Oscar's Express Moving and I've already referred them to one of my clients. Very rude service!! People are trying to rest and sleep however this guys has no issue clanking and smacking a metal dolly down and up stairs right by another people's windows/apartments before 7AM. In the past I had great success with this company. They still worked hard to minimize breaks in our items but the last couple moves I wasn't impressed with the second to last move and the last move was one of the worst I have ever had. They charge more per hour than any other mover and only take cash. They also expect a 20% minimum tip or they get really upset. The first day of our major move we went to get my phone fixed since it dropped in water. We were at the apple store for a while and were gone for 3 hours. We have a 4000 square foot home contemporary style without extra personal items since it was staged and we had already moved the bulk out. When we arrived they had only moved 2 items between 4 people and barely had anything packed. They really were very slow and took everything apart and REALLY tried to milk the clock. I only tipped them 12% because I felt like it at least equaled some of the hours lost. After that they were mad and spent the following 3 days making sure it took as long as possible. They very slowly wrapped every item in our house and we had to help them transport and pack because we wouldn't have been out in time. We still tipped but 15% those days, all cash on everything. Day 5 we asked them when they think they would be done by so we knew what to expect. They told us it wouldn't be done that day. We finally just called out new movers to help them and they got the job done and had our beds up. They worked hard day 5 after the other movers showed up so we gave them a 30% tip. Then we went to look at our items. The same person that packed the kitchen, unpacked it while the others were working (that's the only area we had them unpack aside from the closet.). The same person that packed the closet unpacked. When we went to use the kitchen we realized that is where they really screwed us in a passive aggressive manner. We have nice kitchenware and they purposely unpacked only a couple boxes of donation kitchen supplies that were in the kitchen and made everything in random boxes. It's been really exhausting and time consuming to unpack. Close to 10k dollars later and we have a house (and an office from the last move.)., full of stuff that was taken down to every bolt that they spent hours trying to figure out how to put back together), and sore backs . I don't usually leave reviews but I definitely felt this was a horrible deal. read more

They showed up 90 minutes late to start - packed my storage container with no shrink wrap etc They also had no supplies with them - unbelievable to show up to a move without packing material Thank goodness we had all the material as my wife owns a warehouse with material !!
