This restaurant has the best sushi in the South Everett area hands down! After about 40 visits, it's become my go-to place for fresh, inventive sushi at reasonable prices. I've come to recognize many of the regulars while sitting at the sushi bar, folks who are knowledgeable and appreciative of sushi prepared well. Sang and Peter, the two artists behind the bar, are masters of their culinary craft. My favorite examples of their constructions are the famous 911 roll (not on the printed menu, but available by request) and the Lynwood roll, featuring French-fried onions surrounded by various tasty bites. Each one is totally filling, nothing more required than a carafe of house sake. They have a very tasty hot Korean sauce on their excellent sashimi bowl, their oyster dishes are fresh and delicious, and their sashimi, e.g., hamachi, melts in your mouth. Vivi is a professional, friendly hostess/waitress and is very attentive to her customers. All in all, Oshima is a class act in a strip mall setting, worth seeking out. read more

I have been going here for 2 years now, i have lived in Japan also and know what top notch sushi taste, don't expect that you are eating a Michelin star sushi restaurant. This is my favorite Japanese place! They have a huge choice of rolls, regular, baked or tempura. Genki and Dragon is our favorite rolls....mmmm yummy (I'm drooling on my keyboard). My wife and I really like this place. The restaurant is pretty small, so could be a challenge to get a table on a busy day, but we've never had to wait too long. Fish quality is excellent, and chef's choice sashimi plate was exceptional. We haven't tried any of their Udon or Ramen, but have seen the dishes coming out of the kitchen, and they look great. I've been on a bit of a sushi odyssey lately, so my fiance and I started making the rounds to a lot of local places. Oshima is the BEST! I had the spicy salmon roll, crunchy shrimp roll, and crazy monkey roll and all of them were excellent! The fish was really fresh and so tender, the crunch on the crunchy shrimp was so delicate and the eel sauce was DELICIOUS! The crazy monkey roll was to DIE FOR, covered in fresh crab and tobiko. Their rice to filling proportions are just right and their prices are really great for the quality of sushi you get. I ordered carry out and it was ready super fast and the service was great! This is definitely one of my favorite sushi places in the area. The quality of the food is very good, and the prices are very fair. Most of your basic rolls are between $3-$5, with all the specialty rolls around $9. One of my main reasons for liking this place is that they do to-go orders, and they're only a few minutes down the road from my work. read more

Good reviews so we decided to give it a shot. A lot of creative items on the menu but when they arrive, they don't taste as good as they sound. The jalapeño bomb was not bomb, the baked scallop roll was not edible. When I told our waitress we didn't like that roll she was just like "okay" and kept clearing the plates. The food is good when consist I order the spider roll (every time I go) and when done correctly it's awesome however half the time it's falling apart and this time I actually had to send it back. We come here regularly and tip generously, I often have to ask for refills and often seem like the staff is put off by requests. They have questionable seating tactics while busy, being a 2 top.... with the visible 2 top open we had to wait (5-10min) for the 4 top that yes was there before us to be seated... then we got seated in the 2 top that was open the whole time.
