    Chicken Marsala with mashed potatoes.
    Soki R.

I had heard great things about this restaurant and it was on my list. My friends took me for my birthday and I must say that the food was fabulous. The appetizer and the Chicken Marsala and mashed potatoes were perfection. The serving size was eye opening...huge! The owner was the best hostess and service was impeccable. We had the red velvet cake and the portion was so huge, we shared among 3 of us. Their capuccino was made to perfection. I truly hope people start visiting this great restaurant so it can stay!

This place has the BEST authentic Italian ambiance! Everything from start to finish was fantastic! It's a hidden gem about 15 mins from the Hilton Garden Hotel! I highly recommend the steak, it was cooked to perfection, and had an amazing cream sauce and delicious mashed potatoes! The salads had delicious homemade dressing. The Sangria was the perfect amount of fruity with a bite! Espresso Martinis were delicious as well. We even took some homemade desserts to go! Do not sleep on this place, give it a try you will not be disappointed!

    So well worth the wait.

Food was awesome, we were treated like we were the only people in the whole restaurant. Definitely recommend.

So I'm being happy to see that they are thriving even through covid and this pop up restaurant venture is succeeding! All courses are beyond delicious and presentation of each said dish from each course is steller as well. The menu is full of amazing flavor profiles but kept near and concise, which I prefer immensely. It's a BYOB situation so don't forget your fave adult or non adult beverage, they do have 3 flavors of Lori a French soda, but if you are a coke zero addict like myself, bring it with you and they will be happy to supply you with ice and a stylish plastic stemware, it is still covid restricted out here folks. Some of the stand outs for me...never had warm terrine before, since it's usually a cold plated dish, but this warm version is to die for on a crusty piece of bread. Their escargot is classic french preparation but with a little delicious twist of coriander in the garlic and butter mix, a beautiful surprise to anyone's taste buds! Love that chef incorporates some Caribbean flavor flares to his classic french techniques for each dish. The duck confit is killer perfection and the merguez sausages with cous cous is spot on. And who can say no to classic creme brulee and molten chocolate cake?! Mark, the proprietor is a class act and the hostess with the mostess! He'll have you feeling like you just stepped into his home and treat you like family, the side of the family he actually loves. Only open Fri-Sun so reservations are needed and they go fast, so make haste and make one asap. Definitely worth repeated trips!

My friend knows much more about wine than I do, so he was the decision maker for our wine choices and we ordered a 1/2 bottle of red which we both found to be very delicious. Of course, we had to try some food too and the small bites menu was perfect with something to satisfy nearly every taste. We opted for the meat charcuterie, and it was beautifully presented with enough for the two of us to share. There is also a cheese charcuterie on the menu, but unfortunately there is not an option for a combined meat and cheese plate. We sat, sipped, and tasted for a while and never felt rushed. The atmosphere was so comfortable and we'll definitely consider going back here again.

I didn't have the best time at Providence Wine Bar…read more This might sound a little haughty, but hear me out: I can drink wine at home. I can browse a liquor store & pick out a bottle that exactly fits my preferences, my mood, & my budget. I can bring it home & uncork the wine, checking the cork for freshness. I can pull out my special glassware & pour myself a glass of wine & enjoy it on my own couch. So why go out to a wine bar, if not for the wine? For me, it's for the ambience & the experience. Both of those things at Providence Wine Bar were lacking. The lights were too bright (overhead & fluorescent) & the music was too loud (& just bad). The employees seemed both bored & nervous, with not much to do to occupy themselves. I was one of the only people in the bar, so I felt like I was under scrutiny - I'm certain this wasn't intentional but it was unfortunately how it came across. I brought a book but couldn't focus because of the lights & the music. I even caught myself with my fingers in my ears, trying to muffle the sounds of 2010s hyper pop. I have nothing against 2010s hyperpop, it's just that there's a time & place for everything, & maybe that isn't at a wine bar at 8 PM on a Wednesday. I just wanted to be done with my glass of wine so that I could leave. All of that being said, I wish them the best. It seems like they need a good manager's touch.

The young man waiting on is explained that because it is a bed and breakfast they had restrictions on dining hours ok I understand As the night progresses and me on a sour mood.. these folks were able to turn it around with kindness , thoughtful care and exceptional food The salad with buratta was so fresh , very simple but elegant In presentation The Tuna Tatare an absolute powerhouse of clean flavor without a fishy aroma. The bomb dish ( in a good way) was the linguine with lobster. Wow!!! Many places here on EH destroy your wallet just by using the title " lobster" this perfectly seasoned dish is a light butter cream sauce was not at all heavy the lobster plentiful and frankly enough for two ppl All in all my only complaint is that they are only open Wednesday through Saturday but hey.. if it's that good it worth planning around their schedule. We read a recent review where someone proclaimed the owner to be nasty & unfriendly (sure, I am paraphrasing). Those types of reviews are generally emotionally charged and written by plebs I find. More on that toward the end. Pulling up to a rather unassuming east end Long Island small shopping plaza drenched in rain; opening the door, you are taken back to a semi rustic and dim interior. Perfectly elegant in its bucolic charm- with nice lounge music playing. It is a sit where one likes atmosphere. This is meant with the utmost of respect and candour. We were greeted kindly by the proprietoress (Jacqueline), and handed pleasantly robust binders with the wine list and food. Deciding to treat this in the more European café type, we had glasses and charcuterie. I, the Sagrantino, and her the Kerner. Jacqueline was vocally pleased with our interesting choices. The night drew on, more wine ensued, more food, multiple conversations, and I completed reading through each page and wine choice...finding much to be recognised and appreciated (Kirwan, Moric, Georg Breuer to name but a few) At the end of the night, I asked Jacqueline to pick an appropriate nightcap. She not only delivered, but gave us a wonderful story including the provenance and her experiences - ultimately, the word genius came up more than once. To wit, there was nothing here but an exceptional experience with a like-minded wine enthusiast. I felt welcomed and in the frith of old kin. Nasty, belligerent, dullard atmosphere- indeed not.
