An amazing gem in the heart of Historic Downtown Naples. They served enormous portions, and all of it was flavored so well! The star of the show was the beef carpaccio. It was served with very thin wafer crackers and topped with an olive tapenade. Amazing! I had the pork chop and my date had the veal parm. Both cooked to perfection
We had a really nice dinner with a group of 7 of us at Tulia. We were seated inside near the center of the restaurant - the round table was really nice for the group to converse. Our server and the serving assistants were excellent. She was very friendly and accommodating. My food was delicious - I had some of the warm bread with eggplant caponata (so good!) and the Agnolotti del Plin - it was fantastic. Everyone seemed to really enjoy their meals. They were able to accommodate vegan and gluten-free members of our party as well. The portion sizes are really reasonable, and the food came out quickly, especially considering the size of our group. One small suggestion I make to anyone who does not have zero-proof cocktails available - there are canned and bottled Negroni and Spritz options you can serve that are a nice touch if you do not wish to add zero-proof cocktails to your menu (but you're missing out on $ if you don't, IMO!) I still enjoy a nice mixed beverage even if I don't drink alcohol, and when I'm out with a group I love to order something other than water or a diet soda. I know my other NA friends feel the same. One small complaint was that it was a little tight in the packed restaurant and I for one was backed up against someone at a hightop and kept bumping into her even though I was barely moving and it was probably driving her crazy. Also small note, but the music choice was weird and the vibes were off. It was like semi-recent pop music after 7pm in a dimly lit Italian restaurant - I feel like lots of musical options would make more sense (everyone at the table noticed it at some point). But all that said, we had a delicious meal and lots of fun, and we would come back! The outdoor patio seating looked like a really great option, as well.
Yes, on a Tuesday night after New Year on Fifth Avenue in Naples the restaurants are jamming! Reserved a table for 7:15 and yielded for the first available. The outdoor dining was packed as was indoor but right on time we were seated indoors at a nice 4 top. We were immediately greeted by our server, ordered some drinks, and was delivered a bottle of water while we waited for our drinks and to order. Very good selection of wines and the pour on my Woodford Reserve over ice was quite generous as were the pours of wine (Super Tuscan and Sauvignon Blanc). Off to a great start! We skipped appetizers and went right to the entrees. There were 3 of us and the orders requested were: Roasted Chicken Roasted Potato, escarole, cipollini, sage & salsa verde Heritage Berkshire Pork Chop Roasted root veggies, potato puree, cherry gastrique, scallions and, Local Snapper (Yellow Snapper, we asked) Potato mousseline, charred broccolini, caviar beurre blanc, chive oil & dill Oh my! I had the Pork Chop and cooked medium well, NOT dry, and was sitting atop a potato puree with a most wonderful and delicious dark sauce (cherry gastrique). It was D E L I C I O U S and I just love a great tasting dark sauce which compliments the meal. This was a home run for me. The 2 other home runs were the Snapper and the Roasted Chicken. So many choices for restaurants in downtown Naples on Fifth so if you have the chance, check out Osteria Tulia. I hope you will be as happy as we were. Enjoy! PS...nothing to take home. Full Of Flavor! This restaurant is a must have. Hot spot in Naples had my heart. Upon entering we were greeted by a kind lady and seated immediately. They have daily specials and menu with food options from seafood to hand sandwiches. Their seafood salad was to die for and the pizza was served hot and the mozzarella could melt in your mouth from how fresh it was. The tomato sauce used was delicious. My wife's salmon meal was a hit! She absolutely loved it. The interior decoration was gorgeous. They also have outdoor dining. And the place was spotless. Parking could be king of hard being in a Main Street. It is wheelchair accessible. And kid friendly as well.
I wanted to like this place because the food and atmosphere were good, but the service really took away from the experience. The restaurant wasn't even busy when we came in. The hostess was very welcoming and friendly, and the gentleman with the sleeve tattoos was also awesome. They both made us feel welcome from the start. Unfortunately, our waitress (I didn't catch her name tall, Hispanic, with brown highlights) was a completely different experience. We were friendly every time we spoke to her, but it never really felt like we got that same energy back. She came across as rude and seemed like she didn't want to be there. We weren't given utensils or napkins until we had to ask, and our drinks didn't come out until after our food had already arrived. I understand everyone has off days, but when you're in customer service, attitude and attention to detail go a long way. One thing that stood out to me was the automatic 20% gratuity. It honestly made me wonder if that played a role in the level of service we received, because it didn't feel like there was much effort or attentiveness. I could be wrong, but that was the impression we left with. Hopefully this was just an off day because the hostess and the gentleman with the sleeve tattoos were both excellent and provided the kind of hospitality we expected.
Osteria Tulia is one of the many Italian restaurants on 5th Avenue. I was vacationing here on a weekend, and came here with a few friends. Where I was sitting, the restaurant is very bright during the day. The windows bring in the direct light and I was facing it. We received menus and there was a Summer special menu. Can't remember if it was just for lunch. Pick 1 appetizer and 1 entree from a set list for $35. I picked the beef tartare and the garganelli. Both a complete letdown. The beef tartare came out and it was definitely the most tasteless and bland beef tartare I have ever had. Usually a favorite appetizer of mine, I did not finish it. Next, the garganelli. Great presentation. Came out very hot. The pasta dish comes with lamb neck and sheep cheese. It wasn't a hit with me. It was only ok. I would've enjoyed this dish more with another protein option. It was a great size for lunch though. Enough to have leftovers for the next day. While I enjoyed the price point, the items I ordered did not wow me to come back.
Came in on a Wednesday night around 6 PM and was sat fairly quickly. The restaurant itself is very cute with great evening, lighting and music. There was great service in terms of the cocktails coming out super quick however this place would benefit from maybe free bread. The pasta was cooked great and made in House! Highly recommend stopping in for dinner
We had a late-night New Year's Eve reservation at Tulia on 5th, and it was the perfect way to ring in the year. The menu was exactly what we were looking for, and the food choices were varied and all excellent. It was truly one of the best meals we've had on 5th Avenue. What really made the night was the exceptional staff. Our server, Kamira, was fantastic! She was attentive and professional from start to finish but was so easy going and gave us great recommendations. Even with the NYE weather, the outdoor atmosphere was very comfortable. They had heaters for warmth, and we really appreciated the staff member walking around specifically to see if anyone needed blankets. It's those thoughtful touches that make a place stand out. As it got closer to midnight, everyone moved inside to watch the Times Square coverage on the TVs. WHY CNN!! NO!! We all shared a champagne toast at midnight, which created such a great energy. Between the top-tier service and the cozy setup, it was a wonderful experience. Highly recommend
I'm giving this a 4 instead of a 5 because of our experience. So, I brought my mom and brother to Naples for their very first visit and we decided to stop here for lunch. It was a hot day so we decided to sit inside. The host greeted us promptly and got us seated quickly. Our server brought us waters, shared the specials, and took our orders as soon as we were ready. My mom and I ordered the beet salad while my brother ordered the Classico pizza. When they came out, the manager ran them to the table. She then asked if we would like Parmesan cheese and red pepper flakes for the pizza.. I said yes so she brought them over. This is when it all went haywire. She was wearing a poncho, spun around after dropping off the pizza toppers, and the poncho basically knocked over the bottle of oil INTO MY PURSE that was sitting on the empty chair. The manager stayed and was working on wiping everything down, but pretty much all of the contents of my purse were covered in oil. I was holding it all in because I was very unhappy. My mom was wiping things down, too and food was getting cold. It definitely put a damper on the whole experience. The manager did comp our meal, but It just didn't turn out to be an enjoyable experience AND I had to go home and wash all of the contents of my purse along with the purse itself. Otherwise, I would still go back because everything else was great. I just will make sure to leave my purse in the car!
It was my first time on Naples Fifth Avenue, and there were many great restaurants in the area. The location is beautiful, and we chose Osteria Tulia based on online feedback and recommendations. We had reservations for outside and were seated as soon as we arrived. The service was great and the food was delicious. We really enjoued the experience.

Came here for lunch and got some pizzas and a Caesar salad. The pizzas were nothing special, and I thought the sauce and crust were both heavily lacking in flavor. The service was also alright, we went a while without refills and the service was on the slower side. Overall it's a super convenient restaurant if you're shopping on fifth ave, but I can't say I'd recommend the food.
Welcome back yall to another evening of Shubacca's reviews: Food: I had one of tonight's special which was tortellini stuffed with veal. Sounds good, right? Well im hear to say...this was nothing to write home about. 1) it was Luke warm at best and 2) it lacked zest. Just no flavor profile what so ever. Their minor redemptive quality gets rescued by the bread. Which ...only the first basket is free. Every one served after...is an extra $4. Service: my uncle had to constantly ask for bread. And she misunderstood his and my aunts order. Then she had the nerve to think to get away with charging them based on HER mistake. No cap..she literally said..."well that's how I charge it." Ummmm..no mam! Ambiance: oak wood beams tavern vibe. Also loud because of a small cozy space. We all felt like we were shouting across a round table. Shubacca's review: this place was not TULIAgit to quit.

Wonderful meal at Tulia. We were visiting Naples for the day and decided to try this restaurant. A couple salads and I got the small ear pasta w sausage and broccoli rabe. It was excellent and well prepared. Very flavorful. The cocktails were all well done as well. Will definitely return when back it Napes -want to try more dishes! Nice seating outside. read more

Authentic Italian food, great service and the absolute best, they let you order half portions so you can try 2 of your preferred pastas!! Oh and the dessert was so delicious!!! We even came back the next day! By the way you have Osteria Tulia and Bar Tulia and you can order from both restaurants in either of them. read more
I was hoping this restaurant would be a highlight of my culinary experience on my recent trip back from the FL keys. The items on the menu sounded like just the type of dishes my husband and I look forward to eating. Unfortunately we were somewhat disappointed with majority of the dishes. We started with the salad, which the server graciously had divided between the two of us. It was very good and taste was refreshing and light on a hot day. The only thing I'd suggest is to add several more pomegranates. It needed the extra punch of flavor. Most of the seeds were very small and appeared shriveled. I ordered the hanger steak, and my husband order the grouper sandwich. When our main dish arrived, I immediately noticed my steak was sitting in too much sauce that overflowed into the massive amount of curly fries. The steak was actually over cooked beyond my request for medium rare. I didn't taste much of the steak due to the overwhelming flavor of the aioli sauce (less is more). My husband told me the grouper slipped out of the sandwich to easily and was fighting with it too much. Perhaps the sandwich was poorly constructed. He ended up eating it with a fork. He too commented on the over abundance of curly fries. Neither of us are crazy about curly fries. Another type of fries (small wedges) with the seasoning or truffle sauce would have been a better choice and not dominate the plate. I wish I could give this restaurant a 5 star based upon the menu selection, service and eating outside patio, but the food is suppose to be the main attraction why to come there. So I give Tulia 3.5, but Yelp only offers even numbers. It just didn't deserve even the 4 stars. It the salad had been 100% excellent then I would have honored the 4 star, yet even the salad was lacking. read more

First time at this spot, right on 5 ave. Decor gets a 5, very nicely done in there. Staff was absolutely great, our server Fred, was extremely knowledgeable on every dish we asked about and was there every time we looked, to take care of our needs. Mind you, the restaurant was full and the service did not lack! The food was amazing, we tried 4 different things and loved every single one. The only knock I would give them is there's only two restrooms. 5 stars! I highly recommend this place. read more

I came in for lunch. They start you out with some warm bread and an eggplant spread. The eggplant has been roasted for a long time and then mashed up into a spread for your bread. This was very different from what you typically get. I really liked the combination of the spread along with some olive oil and salt on top of the bread. I got the fried pig ears as an appetizer. This would be a good appetizer if you had 4 or 5 people to share with. The thinly sliced ears were crunchy on the outside and a little chewy on the inside. The initial crunch was good but I think I realized I am not a fan of eating ears because I don't like the texture of the cartilage. For my lunch I got the special where you pick an appetizer and entrée. I went with the Caesar salad and chicken sausage pizza. The salad was very basic. It was just a few pieces of leaves, a light dressing, and a few croutons. I would pass on it next time and go for something else. The pizza was very good. Chicken sausage tends to be dry and they did a good job preventing that. It paired well with the gorgonzola and apples. read more

Location location location. This place is fabulous for people watching. I went with a couple girls fiends and sat outside. So I can't speak for inside. The wait staff was so lovely and on top of things too. The food is a tad pricier but you are paying for location. I wasn't wowed by the food. But I would still consider coming back to try again. My friend and I shared a pizza and an Alfredo pasta dish. read more

Rating an overall 3/5. Service and ambiance was great. However, food was average. I ordered the Tortelloni dish which looks delicious to the eye but not so much on the tongue. The "short rib" was mashed up which looked and tasted a little funky. Their pasta special at the time was also not very good for the price. Would come back, but to definitely try the pizza instead. read more

Service is pretty not good, fish is very fresh, the appetizer cauliflower is good. Pizza is okie. Never get our water refill, never get our bread. Ppl around us all got it. Maybe we are the only Asian in here. Racist? At least something is very good......, either services or food,but Nothing for me. Our hotel is 40 minutes away, we drove all the way here way here... Disappointed. $172$??? Not worst it. Never come back not recommended read more

We had an amazing (traditional) Italian meal during our vacation right in the middle of Naples, FL. Our server, Kim was exceptional! Admittedly, we came here THREE times during our vacation! -- YES it is THAT good! The bread and pasta are so good you'll feel as though you're in the middle of Italy! The grilled octopus special and the tagliatelle were our favorite menu items by far! But don't be afraid to ask your server what the nightly specials are for the evening. AND don't forget to save some room for a drink next door at Bar Trulia which has a more casual vibe but still a noteworthy menu and extensive cocktail list. We also loved our server Mike who provided a lot of menu insight and some comical relief for the evening. Thank you to Kim and Mike for making our vacation that much more memorable. We will absolutely come back and truly recommend that if you're ever in Naples you support these businesses! read more

First off, not much for vegetarians. Just reading about the pig ears and their "Mary had a little Lamb" dish made me ill. However, they did have a special with home made gluten free noodles which won me over. Definitely fresh produce from local farms, homemade noodles of all kinds, compliments to the chef. Service not crazy about, always happens when the server has both outside and inside tables. She rarely checked on us. They delivered our salad to the wrong table, so she said, so we didn't get that. They do not have beer on draft so hubby was not happy. Dessert was chocolate torte, still very fudged like, why doesn't anyone bake a real gfree cake? Lunch was limited in menu and pricey. There is pizza for the kids if you want, casual tables inside with bar seating. The chairs inside are not comfortable, they could use some seating pads. All in all, not great enough to return as long as there are so many other choices down the street to try out. read more

Exceptional doesn't scratch the surface of our experience at Osteria Tulia. Our waiters name was Mike, and he was friendly, helpful, professional and attentive. He recommended a house sauvignon blanc that was perfectly dry and a fantastic pairing to our meals. We were greeted with a complimentary eggplant carpaccio and fresh warm bread. I could have happily ate just that the entire night. Next we ordered wood charred octopus- the flavor rivaled that of which we've had in Greece. The flavors melded together perfectly. We split a small house salad that was dressed delicately and topped with fresh cheese. A second appetizer of snapper ceviche stole the show. It had octopus, snapper, lime zest, avacado and red onion. Perfectly portioned, perfectly presented. As our entrees we shared the garganelli and house special pasta. The garganelli with lamb, which was succulent and flavorful, the house special braised pork over pasta was equally impressive and expertly crafted. We ended the night with espresso coffee , myself with baileys, my fiancee with sambuca, a full stomach and a promise to each other we will be back again. read more

Left leaving Osteria Tulia beyond Full! The food was so good, I couldn't stop eating! Everything we had was so delicious. Started with the artichoke appetizer special, my fiancé loved the pizza but the Garganelli pasta was outstanding!! At first I was skeptical and asked the waitress on her thought on the dish because I wasn't sure if I would like lamb neck. She said it was one of the most popular dishes. Let me tell you, I am so glad I ordered it. It was amazing. We came back the same week and ordered the same dishes again! read more

I had read great things about Osteria Tulia and I was still pleasantly surprised with how good everything was! Home-made pasta and so many options to choose from. We started with the brussel sprouts appetizer and they were so good. Then, we ordered the tortelloni, very rich dish and it was delicious. We also ordered the swordfish kabob special which was a lighter lemony dish and was also very good. We followed dinner with tiramisu. Everything was amazing. read more
A day trip to Naples and a walk on 5th Ave were highlighted by a lunch at Tulia. This place was recommended by one gallery employee who said that it was one of the best Italian restaurants on 5th. Nice staff and pleasant ambiance. Our server Kim was wonderful. They started us off with a house made Eggplant Caponata and freshly baked bread that was crunchy and hot. Once we tried that, we knew we were in for a nice dining experience. We ordered the Caesar Salad that came topped with bacon bits and anchovies. It was beautifully presented and tasty. Personally I would omit the bacon bits. They were a bit hard and too salty, but it was easy to discard them. I ordered the Cappelletti, basically tortellini stuffed with truffled ricotta and my husband ordered the Orecchiette with Fennel sausage. When we received our food, I was taken aback by the size and told my husband we will go have lunch afterwards, lol, literally 12 tortellinis on my plate I swear. I counted them. Surprisingly, the portions, although small were enough. We also ordered the Key Like pie with the Berry Compote also small but delicious. It's true what they say, tiny but mighty. The food was delicious, very well prepared, and fresh. We jokingly asked our server if we offended anyone because our food took a bit long to come out, so when we asked for the check, they gave us a discount by offering the dessert for free, which was very nice of them. They really didn't have to do that. We were not upset at all. It was a great experience overall. This place will definitely be added to our faves list. read more

Amazing! The bread starter with eggplant dip was a wonderful start. The Fried baby artichokes with lemon Parmesan strips and roasted cilantro with a butter lemon caper aoli dip was incredible. The Brussels sprouts with fennel sausage was a hit for everyone at my table. The Sicilian Meatballs with Parmesan and sauce with pine nuts and currants was unique and delicious.
