after contemplating which spokane favorite we wanted to try, my coworker and I decided upon our thai house. that name is so pleasant and inviting; like, "welcome home to YOUR house, OUR house...care for some curry?" why, yes; panang beef please. the curry was flavorful, but not quite as spicy as desired (I ordered the spiciest possible). the beef was tender, and the veggies had just the right amount of snap, although the sauce was slightly too salty. we ordered the spring rolls, as well; just fine, and piping hot. service was friendly, albeit a bit slow. all good, order appetizers and don't eat too fast. read more

Got the yellow curry with tofu and wow, it was delicious. I should start ordering something else but it's how I judge Thai places haha. Asked for a 3 for spice level and it was perfect but still pretty spicy. Seriously yummy. My mom got the Pad Thai and was pretty impressed too. We did takeout and it was pretty quiet inside. I have not eaten at Thai House, but I wanted to write a note about their exceptional customer service. We live outside of Washington DC and have a local Thai Restaurant by the same name as this one.  We intended to order from our local restaurant but mistakenly clicked on the wrong link in Google and placed the order here. Upon realizing our mistake, we called the Thai House in Spokane, and they said the food is ready to be picked up. When we advised them of our mistake and that we were about 2500 miles away, we had a good laugh about it.  But we were also worried about our $101 mistake.  They asked us to call the next day and speak with the manager. We knew it was our own mistake, but we called the next day to see if we could get any relief.  To our pleasant surprise, the owner told us that since we did not pick up the food, and people make mistakes, he would kindly offer us a full refund on our order.  He was also exceedingly kind about the whole thing! While sadly, we will not be able to dine at this restaurant (living across the country) we are so impressed by their customer service, especially in a time when it's not easy for restaurant owners.  If you dine at this establishment, know that you will be treated well. read more

I went here for the first time a few months ago for lunch and the Thai basil chicken had been on my mind since. When my mom requested we go back for her birthday, I was more than happy to go. Not only is this place super cute inside, but it is spotlessly clean and they have menus and silverware waiting. No slacking here! You seat yourself, with options of tables, booths, and smaller tall tables. The greetings here are quick and enthusiastic. Seriously the service here is top notch and genuine. My mom had black and brown rice and shrimp rolls, the latter of which she described as "pure heaven." My sister had the cashew tofu and she said it's hands down the best fried tofu she's had in town. I went for the cashew chicken this time at a spice level 2. I got a 3 on my Thai basil before and their spice level was on point both times. Their chicken is fried perfectly in pieces that aren't too big and are the ideal meat to veggie ratio. The veggies were fresh and crisp. The sauce... I'd have licked my plate clean if I could! Delightful! It didn't make anything soggy either. I'd buy it bottled if they offered it. My sister and mom both loved the hot tea too, which we didn't catch what it is. Don't let the building exterior fool you. Inside this modest building (converted bank?) is deliciously prepared Thai food. We stopped in on a road trip and were thoroughly satisfied with our Pad Se-ew with chicken and Thail Basil with beef. And the serving size - very generous; we took the remains with us, of course! The service was prompt and most kind - what else would I find in a Thai restaurant? Servers wore masks and table seating was distanced enough for safety. I have eaten at or gotten takeout from Our Thai house at least a dozen times over the past 2 or 3 years and always gotten great food. I don't know if this last time, 2 weeks ago, was a new or substitute chef - I hope it was just a blip. I always order one star, but the heat level was closer to 2.5 or 3 -- hot enough that it took all the pleasure out of eating the Pad Thai and Pad See Ew I ordered for takeout. in addition, the rice noodles in both dishes were undercooked and there wasn't as much flavor to the sauces. My husband, who enjoys more heat in his food, had the same reaction to the undercooked noodles and minimal flavors. For the first time I can remember, Thai leftovers were not eaten. This is the best Thai restaurant in Spokane. The spice rating is 1 - 5 and in our experience it is on the spicier side. This is the real deal when it comes to Thai food. The Pad See Ew was excellent. Light on the veggies, but they were well cooked (as in not too soft or raw). The sauce for this dish soaked into the noodles sufficiently so there was no soupy mix at the bottom of the platter, which is typical in most American Thai restaurants, but not necessarily how the dish should be served. The Larb (or Lap, here) was a lovely mix of citrus, peanut, and other spices. Also, they had Sticky Rice which is hard to find sometimes! When eating Larb, be sure to have some lettuce with the spoonful of ground chicken for a more well-rounded flavor experience. Also, they have sticky rice! Portions are huge. The best way to go is to order multiple dishes and share amongst the table (family-style). So great! Will definitely be back! read more

We came here on a cold New Year's Eve. There were only three other tables with people. We loved the style of the restaurant. Looked very authentic. Still had Christmas decorations so it was pretty festive. The staff was attentive from the time we sat down. We ordered shrimp rolls for appetizer. They came out very hot. They were tasty with a side of sweet and sour. My wife ordered chicken pad thai with no spice. She enjoyed it a lot. It was twice as much as she needed so she will have lunch tomorrow. I ordered the green curry with chicken. I asked for three stars and the waitress said that three stars on the green curry was really spicy and wanted to confirm that I liked it spicy. I thought it was nice that she confirmed how spicy I liked it. It was great. I probably could have used another 'star' of spice but I enjoyed the flavor. We will definitely be back. read more

Judging this restaurant from the looks on the outside would be a mistake. Inside it's very comfortable and welcomes you. I ordered the standard shrimp pad thai and it was on point, yummy sauce and cooked just right but a hint on the sweet side. My wife's dish really blew us away. If you like fish, try their deep fried tilapia with sweet chili sauce... it was ridiculously good!!! If you're searching for fantastic and authentic Thai food, this is the place. We would be regulars but we're only in town for the weekend. The owner was really great too, she came around to check on her customers and even sliced up a dish of honeydew melon for our toddler. I get carry-out lunch here somewhat regularly. Very good quality food, reasonable quantity, for a pretty decent price. I've never eaten at the restaurant but the ambience seems extremely chill and homey, fitting for the name. One request for fellow customers: take their spiciness ratings seriously! Four out of five is very hot. Three out of five is solidly hot. When people order a three and then complain it's not what you expected because it actually has some kick - they might turn around and make my three taste like a two. Update: I loved this place when it first opened, but since then I've been back sporadically and haven't been that thrilled with the food. I think the restaurant and staff are lovely, but I typically get dishes with chicken and it's consistently dry and tough. I tried it again this past week because it was the only place besides Thai Bamboo (no thank you) that was still open and got Pad Thai with shrimp. The noodles were pretty flavorless and bland and no detectable heat though I requested medium spice. Unfortunately, I think I'm giving up on this place. :( read more

Our first time eating here was decent. Service was slow because the restaurant was busy and it only had one waiter (who I think is also owns the place). Food has huge portion! You won't leave here hungry haha. I had masanman beef curry and my husband had beef pad thai. We both order it hot but it wasn't spicy enough. Good thing they have extra spice on the side which we used to spice up our dish. My curry was salty but still flavorful. His pad thai was good just not spicy enough. I've never in my life had white rice as delicious as Our Thai House makes. Literally blew my mind. We went here after debating what to have for dinner. I've heard amazing things and this place did not disappoint. We ended up getting take out. Which is never as good as dine in but still was delicious and currently the only option. Pad Thai and cashew chicken is our go to for Thai. We really do need to expand our palates. Pad Thai was phenomenal. Just the right amount of spice, noodles were amazing. Cashew chicken we got fried and I think that was our mistake. Next time I'll just have them sautéed. We will for sure be back and we will for sure try new plates. Best Thai restaurant in Spokane! The restaurant itself is a little run down, but that doesn't take away from the quality of food and quality of workers here. My go to is the pad thai, but ive also had their yellow curry and drunken noodles. They also have the best thai iced tea!! I have only gone here for dinner, but I have heard great things about their lunch special menu, which I definitely need to try soon. During COVID, they have a window used for takeout on the side. We had pad kee maw and panang curry. The noodles were spot on and flavored perfectly. The curry was a bit more strong on the peanut side, but still tasty. I've been going here for 5 years at least once a month rarely deviating but when I do I have no regrets portions are massive and worth the price, given you'll almost always have leftovers. I would hope they gain enough revenue to expand or get a larger location sometime soon.
