    Gnat in Rita flight.
    Carla H.

Decided to check this place out since they have closed several around the Houston. The location is right off the I-10 freeway with plenty of parking. I went in the late afternoon as that was a good time to go because it wasn't crowded at all. The restaurant seemed clean but there were like a few gnats here and there. My server was nice and I was greeted upon arrival. I ordered wings, fries, and a salad. I ordered a Sauza Margarita "down under" (extra shot) on the side of the drink. It was okay then I ordered a Margarita flight but returned it cause I had a gnats in one of my drinks. Overall I'd encourage anyone to go as it's not busy and my food was delivered and cooked fast. Do to the gnats around and in the drink. Couldn't give them a A five star.

Bone in Ribeye, with Bourbon Onion - rare, almost blue (Asked for medium rare) Poor experience
    Jody J.

Asked for the bone in ribeye medium rare and it came out rare on the blue side. Initial bite was not very flavorful. . Meal was sent back. Service was okay, had to ask for utensils. The server asked us to cut our steaks when the meal was delivered but how could we when we didn't get a fork and knife? Ambiance was nice, music wasn't so loud that you couldn't hear yourself think or had to shout across the table like other places. Cleanliness was good. Overall, 3/10 I wouldn't return because my belief is if a steakhouse can't get your temperature correct the first time then it's not worth visiting a second time! Last visit was 10 years ago, it would probably be another 10 again.

The food is always fresh and good Good: fresh, hot,.and good. We asked for less seasoning on the chicken pasta. It was perfect and not salty. The chicken bites were super good. Service,: excellent Parking; nice parking lot Ambiance: quaint, low lighting Seating: booths and tables Restrooms: didn't go

Center Cut Sirloin w mashed potatoes and tender veggies!

If we are not at a Brazilian steakhouse then we visit Outback. This location is conveniently located off of IH 10 East. There is plenty of parking. You do have the option to put your name on the waitlist prior to arriving via their app. Another pro to having the app is the ability to browse the menu, order online for takeout and keep track of your loyalty points which are called dine rewards. I came here wanting their fire grilled Prime Rib and guess what, they were out? I don't quite understand why they would be out of this. Anyways I went with my second option which was the centercut sirloin done medium rare. I started out with a house salad with ranch and macaroni and cheese bites. Did I mention their hot fresh bread with butter? May, our server was great! Very attentive and went above and beyond to get me some tartar and cocktail sauce for my coconut breaded shrimp I added to my steak. For some reason they don't carry these condiments for the seafood they serve. They do carry beer and mixed drinks. My favorite obviously is the Big Bloke Foster's. I have gotten the margarita flight in the past and really enjoyed the blackberry variation! Overall, I enjoy our visits to Outback and most certainly will always return!

    6oz sirloin & Steakhouse Mac & Cheese

The service here is awesome. Some nice young ladies welcomed us in and sat us down. Our waiter Joel was so great to us, we mentioned it was our first time at Outback and they brought us a complimentary bloomin' onion. Which was absolutely delicious, I dare to say it was better than Texas roadhouse's cactus blossom. The place was nice and clean, and they had the Super Bowl on. I got the 3-course meal which has one appetizer, and entree with a side and a slice of cheesecake for dessert which starts at $16.99. The steak was so soft and tender! It had such great taste and was cooked just how I ordered it! The mac and cheese looks good to the eye but it's pretty bland and doesn't have much flavor. I didn't take a picture of the cheesecake, but it was super yummy! This place is definitely worth a visit just by the service the offer!

Came here with my husband and ordered the shrimp appetizer I do recommend you to try it its delicious!! For drinks we ordered the Hot honey rita and yes it has honey in it which make it really sweet but at the same time its a little bit of spicy, but delicious! Our server was so nice all the time and went above and beyond for us, I believe her name was alexis. Great server! We came like at 3 pm so it was quite empty which made it really nice because there was no noise. My experience overall was great!

The steak was outstanding. The waitstaff was great and the service was prompt. Try the wedge salad. You won't be disappointed.

The food was as expected from a chain steakhouse but the service was quite odd we had a waitress whom we saw a couple of times but our food was brought by other servers each time who asked us if we wanted something and when we did ask for say steak sauce it never came and we had to ask someone else. We stopped by Daniel's Meat Market expecting good barbecue, but the food completely missed the mark. The chopped beef sandwich was honestly terrible -- it tasted like fish, which is the last thing you expect from beef. It wasn't even chopped fresh in front of us; it was sitting in a big pan, and there was absolutely no barbecue flavor at all. My wife and I each took one bite and couldn't eat it. We ended up throwing the whole thing away. We also tried my son's brisket, and it was just as disappointing. No smoky flavor, no real brisket taste -- just bland and forgettable. I'm not trying to be harsh, just honest. We really wanted to like it, but the quality just wasn't there. Very disappointed overall.

They do have live bands so it may get loud, if that's not your thing. Now for the food... there was so much we wanted to try like the fried trio (zucchini, mushrooms, and pickles), but we chose the bacon deviled eggs and they did not disappoint! The bacon was candied and oh so good. They have a really good salad bar, and the waitress charged us for the kids portion since we were all getting meals that didn't come with a trip. Lots of good toppings to choose from. They have yummy rolls with honey cinnamon butter. My only complaint was the ranch and blue cheese was a bit too runny, and the blue cheese lacked flavor. My bonus daughter and I split the wings and the seafood platter. The wings are really good, we got hot and cherry jalapeño barbecue. The seafood platter was very good, huge portion, 6 shrimp and 2 large pieces of catfish, and the french fries were awesome. I just wish the tartar sauce tasted a little bit better. I couldn't put my finger on it, but it wasn't my favorite. My husband had the signature sirloin topped with a seafood sauce. It was really good and cooked perfectly. He got the loaded mashed potatoes, but they were very dry, they needed some cream or some butter or both. I also got a side of fried okra, I didn't care for it, not very flavorful and not crispy. My daughter got the kids cheese enchilada dinner, she didn't care for it, she said it was mostly cheese and no tortilla. The dessert menu is extensive, and it was hard to make a choice. I wanted to try the brownie bottom cheesecake, the Keylime pie cheesecake, the bourbon, pecan cheesecake, and the Texas velvet chocolate cake. My daughter and I both went for the Texas velvet chocolate cake. The waitress failed to tell me that the portion size is HUGE. Wish I'd have taken a pic! It's two huge slices of chocolate cake on top of each other. Let me tell you, though, this is one of the best chocolate cakes I've ever had. The cake part was moist, I hate that word, but I can't think of another word that describes it. Very flavorful and chocolatey. The icing was one of the best I've ever had, it's a chocolate buttercream and so good. We've eaten on this cake for a few days and it is not going to waste, that's for sure. I think the cake was the best part of the meal. Soooo good. My husband got the salted caramel pecan pie, it was very good. He's not a crust person, but he actually ate all the crust, it was so good. Overall, I really like cactus jacks and I would come back. The waitress was mediocre, for example, she told me they didn't have blue cheese, but they obviously did. She wasn't very attentive at the table, took awhile to get refills and we weren't able to get her to get us some butter for the mashed potatoes because she was rarely there, just a bunch of little things... She was very sweet though . The only reason why they got five stars was the chocolate cake, I think they really deserve four stars because their sides and condiments need some work. But, we will give it another try for sure.
