Food: the sirloin steak use to be good and moist. We order to go often during pandemic lock down. Now it's dry. I felt like my family was eating beef jerky. I was embarrassed because I was the one that changed my 16 year old daughter mind about where to eat steak at. I picked outback because we usually have good steak there. Me and my wife got sirloin with shrimp. Her was 6 oz and my was 8 oz. My daughter was ribeye 12 oz. My wife laughed as she struggle to chew the dry sirloin. We dipped in steak sauce in hoping to add some moisture to the steak. I'm sorry I don't see how so many people can pile up at the door for such dry tasting sirloin. Now you can't say I'm just picking the steak, my 6 year old daughter got chicken and fruit bowl. Her chicken was dry same as the steak. My wife refuse to try the chicken cause she can see it dry without the need to try it. Service: our server was okay, we only had issue at the end when we requested for to go box. We asked 3-4 server for it and after 30 minute I walked to the front desk and he got us one finally. You wonder why we didn't complain to the manager. We assume they change their way of cooking steak and chicken because we all had dry steak and chicken. I felt bad for my 16 year old daughter as she struggle to finish her ribeye. Now, the to go food we brought home even my 14 year old gamer son refuse to eat it. He is like a garbage disposal, he eats anything! We didn't make a scene because we are not a public drama family. We paid $107.00 total walked out with a friendly smile. But we felt like Outback owe us apology for serving such dry beef and chicken. But if that's is how it suppose to be I surely won't be back and hope other not seeking dry beef and chicken don't have to waste their Friday night dinner there. read more

After unexpected plans to travel to Memphis, we decided to stop and eat supper in Bowling Green. I had remembered on previous trips that there was an outback along the interstate in Bowling Green, and usually Outback is a pretty decent, although pricey, meal. I was attended by my dear husband and his brother. The restaurant is immediately off of exit 22 on I-65 (southbound side). You have to drive through a couple of hotel parking lots, but it is pretty easily accessible. We ordered a Bloomin' Onion for an appetizer. I was pleasantly pleased with it. Many times, the onion is not fried crispy enough to our satisfaction, but this one was. It was very good. I ordered the Steakhouse salad, which includes sirloin strips of steak over a chopped salad with candied pecans, those little crispies you buy for chinese food at home, and chunks of blue cheese. There were also red onion and cherry tomatoes. The standard dressing is a blue cheese vinaigrette, which I chose. The steak was fixed to my satisfaction ad was tender. They over did the pecans, (for a Texas girl, that is saying alot), and the little crispies, but otherwise the salad was good. Also ordered was the 9 oz sirloin (aka. the Outback Special) with a sweet potato (butter only). I was told that they were both good. My B-I-L ordered the Alice Springs chicken with a sweet potato (butter only). He also commented that the sweet potato was very good. My B-I-L was also celebrating his birthday, so the waiter brought him a small dish of vanilla ice cream with hot fudge poured on it. He said it was good, and it was a nice size to eat a touch of sweet without being an overload. This location was satisfying for us. I would recommend to anyone. I have been eating here for years I usually have a great experience and love it. I came here on Tuesday night it wasn't very busy. We ordered the blooming shrimp , My wife ordered the Alice Springs chicken and I ordered the steak Queso and fried mushrooms. Our server was new this was not on him. I asked for mine to come out with my wife Entree. Her chicken was good. The shrimp was good. The chips that came with my queso had been out for a while they taste very stale. And my mushrooms were cold not even cool but cold. By the time we seen our server another time My Wife had already finished her dinner so there was no point in me trying to say anything back because we were ready to leave. He did attempt to bring me more chips although I did not ask for them because I was ready to go. There would be no point in taking new chips because by the time I got home and got through eating them they would taste just like the ones they brought me out of the kitchen not fresh. Where to start. First of all, I almost always use my YELP app to read reviews before going to a restaurant, but this time I made an exception. First of all let me say that our waitress was a sweetheart, she earned her tips, however getting our food was so slooooow. It took so long to get our food that my 5 year old was hangry and was threatening to beat everyone up. Bathrooms were definitely not clean. The sink was almost as disgusting as the bathroom aisles. However, the food was as ordered. I have this restaurant a three start just because we had a wonderful waitress and we were seated quickly. We stopped off on our way passing through and sat at the bar. The food was ok. Bloomin onion was good as usual and the ribs not so much. They were a little dry. Bartender Destiny was super nice and personable. However the place was dirty. Manager and staff sitting around at the bar chatting about nothing work related. There were about 5 employees sitting at the bar and every now and then a customer would come so one of them would walk over to greet and sit them at table. Then it was back to chatting. Another customer had to walk to the bar to ask for something since servers were not tentative. The bathroom was horrible. Two of the three stalls were full of clogged toilet paper and scattered stool. The counters were dirty and out of paper towels on one side and out of hand soap on the other. My brother and I took my dad, who is an 84 year old veteran. The food was good as always. When they brought our food out the manager took a few minutes to honor my father. First time for me that a restaurant really went beyond what they needed to do to correct a meal preparation! Although my steak was delicious on the first bite, it was cooked well, not medium. Whenever the wait staff asks the question, "How is your meal?", whether it is good or not I always say, "It is great!". When I hesitated, Mallory opened the door to let me tell her what was wrong. She whisked my plate away and the kitchen staff brought a new steak out to me. He asked me to cut into it and it still was over done. I said it was just fine. I like to sit at the bar because the service is faster. That statement did not hold true for this establishment. My food was perfect and really good. It took far too much effort on my part to get those things though. - I asked for menu after waiting for 5 minutes- with 2 bartenders on a Monday night. - After finding both a beer and a dinner selection that I would like I set the menu down and watched both bartenders- being ready to establish eye-contact/smile to let them know I'm ready... Nothing. Another 5 minutes and I said- as the bartenders head was down in front of me- "May I order a beer, please?" without looking up he mumbled something- that I figured was a yes or something similar. I ordered the beer- he finished whatever he was doing and brought the beer- still no eye contact or asking me about a potential food order. Half the beer later he was within ear shot again so I asked "May I order food now, please?" Anyway- that's pretty much how the rest of the time went. When my food came I asked the runner if I could get one of the rolls that other people got with their dinner. BTW- the dude who sat 3 seats down from me received eye contact, ample service and was even offered bread although he only ordered a salad. After leaving Beech Bend Park, the hubs was craving a blooming onion. So off to Outback we went. We were seated immediately as they didn't seem to be very busy and our drink order was taken. Our blooming onion came in like 5 minutes after ordering, super quick! After we started eating the onion we realized we had no silverware or napkins to wipe our hands with. The waitress, Paige, came back to refill drinks and I asked if we can get some silverware and napkins and she said "They are rolling some now" Ok cool. See we continue eating the onion and then our food comes out shortly. The server gives us all our food and asked if there was anything else we needed. I, once again, said silverware and napkins please. He brought them immediately. My daughter ordered HOT wings. When she got them they were not hot at all, no sauce on them just fried. I asked the waitress about it and she said she can bring me a side of buffalo sauce, which I was ok with. It comes and its water, I try to stir it up some so my daughter would at least try it and it seemed to have clumps of butter??? in it. My husband and I went here after a long kayak trip, honestly expecting crap food and service because that seems to be the standard for food service these days. I never write reviews, but my husband and I were so blown away we had to. First of all, our waitresses name was Monique and she was the best waitress we have ever had, period. when I say she was ON IT, I mean she filled our drinks literally the second they were gone. She was so fast with the food, perfect timing on bread refills and the check. Blown away. Second, it's outback, it usually isn't anything special. But the steak I had and shrimp were the best steak and shrimp I've had ever. Insanely good. Perfectly cooked, exactly medium rare. Awful! I ordered curbside and have never had a problem until I visited this location! I ordered steaks well done and got them less than medium. I Asked for extra steak sauce for both steaks and got only one cup. No problems with the broccoli. The dressed baked potatoes had almost NO cheese, chives or bacon. Traveling in the Bowling Green area on vacation. I was a bit hesitant to try this Outback location due to the lower rating on YELP. Well I love Outback so we decided to chance it; and certainly glad we did! Our server was very friendly, just made us feel right at home. My server was awesome. She was attentive and kind. Myself and the 3 others in my party all ordered steaks. Two out 4 were overcooked, 2 had hairs in it, though the manager thought the strand from my filet mignon may have been gristle (there's no gristle in filet mignon). I wouldn't have said anything as it was my very last bite but the manager was already standing there to take care of the other couple in my party. She offered to comp it and not question the "hair/gristle" I told her thank you and she didn't have to but she did. I was grateful. The one steak that came out the way it was ordered and hairless was taken home as by this time she had lost her appetite. Other than the hair in filet, it was soft and tender like butter and had a wonderful flavor. The sides and salad were perfect, the bread warm and soft. We went to outback a couple weeks ago, and they were out of prime rib (which is understandable) and broccoli. We went back yesterday and they were out of 12 ounce sirloins. They offered 2 6 ounce sirloins then came back and said they wouldn't be able to do that because they would run out. We ordered salads and our waiter brought us our salad. In about 5 minutes, someone else came and had two more salads for us. You could tell the workers were lost. There was zero structure. The table beside us had to have their blooming onion replaced. It just kind of was a circus around there. They did say they lost a GM, so maybe that's why things were crazy, but it still shouldn't trickle down to the customer having a bad experience. read more

Restaurant was cold during the winter. Burgers are awful, dry, old onions are served instead of fresh. I didn't like the fries. I usually get them with out salt so they are made to order but yuck.
