It was a while since I went to an outback and sadly I was reminded why. I went with two friends, one got a soup and salad, the other got steak and lobster, while I got salmon and veggies. Let me say that there was nothing wrong with my food or the girl who got a soup and salad. You would think the steak and lobster (their specialty) would come out perfect, no. Her lobster was fine, the potato was fine, but the steak came on taller than it was long, and it looked like there were two finger marks in it. Not only that, she asked for medium rare, and this thing was still alive. She used to be a manager at a fancy steak place around town and wasn't having any part of that, so she quickly asked for a new one. Our server (who didn't bring the food to us, agreed and was trying to get to the expo person before it was served to us but couldn't). So that's why they get a 3, because of the poor steak and poor expo quality control. read more

The best thing about outback was the cheese fries. The steak doesn't even compare to the place across the street bc steaks here are frozen, but maybe that's just how they do steak "down under" lol. Not enough seasoning either, bland. Oh and the bread is delicious!! Otherwise unremarkable though. Good service at least though. The Steak was greasy, no flavor. the blooming onions were to spicey . i took two bite of the stake then told them to take it away. they didn't even ask what was wrong. paid for the meal and left. I just had lunch there yesterday with my hubby! First of all Alexis at the door was very nice and was even cleaning tables in between seating guests! I have to admit she has been working there awhile so I am always happy to run into her! After being seated like 2 seconds walking in the door, Michael was our server! He was fast! I took my wife to this location on 10/18/19, which was a Friday and we arrived around 4:30 pm. The place hardly had any customers, waitstaff was standing around waiting for the inevitable dinner rush. Our goal was to get in and out before that event occurred. We go before the hostess, a young girl still in her teens, and when questioned about our seating preferences we responded with booth. She consulted her laminated seating chart decided upon a location and calls a someone over to seat us. Now keep in mind this place is virtually empty because as we leave the waiting area we pass rows upon rows of empty booths. We are taken all the too the back of the restaurant, three booths away from the bathroom. All the other diners were all towards the front of the restaurant, there was no one back here but us. It's a general understanding that tables near the kitchen and bathe are the worst tables in a restaurant. So when it's 90 minutes before the usual dinner rush, other diners are sitting in booths in the same area and we are escorted to the worst seats in the house, I had to wonder why. Now I'm a polite person by nature so I kindly ask the person seating us if we can sit somewhere away from the bathroom. The look that I received was full of spite. As if to suggest I had no right to question the arrangement bestowed upon us by her holiness the hostess. After an elongated "Ooookay" we left standing near the bathroom waiting for her return. This must have been a challenging request on my part because more than a few minutes went by before she returned with a curt "follow me". We were brought back up to the front where the other patrons were enjoying the resplendent views of the front of the restaurant! Service was okay after that, I only noticed two questionable activities. The first is that as dinner service started to pick up, no one else was ushered towards the back of the restaurant. I paid very close attention to how they seated incoming visitors. Also on our way out we were exiting the outer doors as the seating lady was coming into the restaurant. She opens the door and brushes past us without a word. We say excuse us and as is usually done in our community, we hold the door for the next going through the doorway. Now look I don't want to make a mountain out of a mole hill and I've left race out of this. But I will go so far to say that out of the few people that were there when we showed up, we were youngest (btw we're in our 30's) healthiest and humbly speaking most attractive people there at that time. We were dressed well, I had on my company jacket with our very recognizable logo stitched on the front. I am perplexed why during the hour that we were there, we were the only couple given those terrible seats. I encourage anyone who may read this long submission, pay attention to how they seat you. The bathroom and the kitchen tables are known for being the worst tables at any restaurant. Sometimes they don't have a choice due to reservations and capacity but in my case it seemed willful. read more

Ate here yesterday and our car and several other were broken into by the windows being busted out. The people working didn't seem concerned for us and said it happens frequently. The police officer said it happens here all the time as well. We parked by the road under the light, but it doesn't matter in the area apparently. We had to scarf down our food in shifts since our car was even more vulnerable with the window out. Still paid full price and now have to get our window repaired. My Victoria's Filet was fatty, I never have a fatty filet when ordering, I can usually eat the entire steak. Very disappointing. I've been to several different Outback Steakhouse locations in my life. I have been to this one specifically a few times. My issue with this location is that they aren't consistent at all. I've been once when my steak was spot-on and service was good. I've also had *really bad* food from here. You just don't know what you're going to get. It's literally a gamble every time. I will say - it's best to come in-person for food. I've had takeout from here, and when the food sits in the containers, it gets soggy or the steak sometimes gets more cooked than you want. Waitress cared nothing about her job and did not serve us at all. After constantly asking different staff for an hour if our food would ever make it to the table, our food finally came cold and dry. The wonderful blonde hostess sprayed our table of food while cleaning a booth seat next to our table and choose to ignore me rather than apologizing. After asking for the check, the amazing manager proceeded to act condescending and took her time checking us out knowing we wanted to leave while the rest of the staff stared at us and pointed servers to walk around and away from our table. The Outback Steakhouse team on Hilliard Rome Rd. is incapable of apologizing and taking responsibility for their mistakes. I always used to order the filet and the flavor / tenderness / doneness was always PERFECT, but it's just not worth the price anymore. It has been a few years since we have dined at this establishment and will be many more before we return. First and foremost this place needs a deep cleaning. The walls in our booth were filthy with dried food/ beverage splashes readily apparent. It just has a dingy overall feel. The music being piped in was awful and the volume was too loud. We weren't the only people who noticed this. I overheard a gentleman complain to his server about this issue. My wife unwrapped her utensils and discovered the napkin was dirty. Not sure if it was dried food but some unknown residue was still on it. The food was run of the mill with her steak being medium rare instead of well done as ordered. This was pointed out to our server with no attempt to correct the issue. My pasta with shrimp and chix was good. I would recommend giving this place a hard pass when dining in the area. read more

Possibly worst food experience I've had with this chain, ordered out backer burger medium, it came out dry and overcooked, and was smothered in mustard and pickles and a single strand of lettuce, GROSS. The cheese wasn't even melted, Fiancé ordered pork chop porterhouse(also medium) with mashed potatoes and the steamed veggies, pork chop was clearly overcooked and had been left to steam for a long time that all the fat was coming out of the top of the porterhouse. Oh did I mention mashed potatoes, yeah those never came, and the veggies were practically raw! When she complained they took it back and simply removed the top layer instead of re-making the salad without the onions. We've been here twice in the past month. When this location opened it was top notch...now, not so much. During both visits, the steaks were tough, hard to cut and how to chew. We had a great server at our first visit, although the fake 'Aussie accent faded as our meal progressed. He accommodated my request and kept beverages and bread topped off. Absolutely horrendous experience. Waited over an hour to get our food, which was honestly the least of my stressors during my dining experience. Hostess paid no attention to my boyfriend and I, seated us and said nothing. Waitress came up to us and didn't say a word until I finally said "so should we order drinks?". Again, no big deal but a bit rude. During our hour long wait, we were stared at, whispered about, and ignored by the entire staff. Made me feel horrible about just being there. After about 40 minutes of waiting for our food, we inquire about our meals kindly and a waitress says she will check on it. A few minutes go by, and then our waitress lets us know they are finishing up on the salad. Just the salad. When we asked how much longer the food might be, our waitress disappeared into the kitchen again and was not seen for many minutes after. So, we ask a different waitress about 10 minutes later, and she also disappears, never to respond to our question. Finally, we get our food after an hour of waiting, and the manager(?) comes out along with it to make sure we are happy. At this point, we are not, and the food is the worst I've ever seen from any Outback Steakhouse. We express our disappointment with the service and she says absolutely nothing to make us feel any better. She asks us to cut into our steaks, and we do, and then when all is okay she walks away. Along with that, the hostess who previously gave us no attention was cleaning a table behind me and sprayed my entire meal and myself. When my boyfriend said something, she just stared, and did not apologize (which is the recurring trend here). At this point, I'm pretty upset and we decide we want to leave. Of course, getting the check is a whole other battle. I'll spare the details, but the short version is as follows: manager(?) comes out and we ask her for the check, tell her how bad our experience was, and all she does is stare. She doesn't say a single thing about feeling bad about it or apologizing, she simply stared at me until I was done talking. It wasn't that busy at first to get such slow service at first. But tables started to fill up as we were almost done. And we weren't the only ones who had issues.
