If you've never said "WOW" to carrots or broccoli, you should definitely come here. By far, two of the best simple side dishes I have ever ordered. I had the Beef Wellington which was a perfectly sized portion and served closer to rare than medium rare. The cocktails were great and well thought out. Simple details like the press of the logo into the ice cube really make this a more elevated experience. We sat in the side room to the right of the main dining room. I had booked a second story table, and that was not honored. It was nice to look out onto the streets of Columbus. It was quicker that they would take something away then you could finish it. To a point it was almost too much because I wanted to eat the glaze that was on that carrot plate.

Service was amazing. Adam made the best cocktails and checked on us consistently. The roasted chicken was really good and full of flavor. The filet was good. I'd say in the top 10 in the area. Not sure that I'd return for it but def coming back for cocktails and dessert. The chocolate cake was so good. We took it to go because we were pretty stuffed and even the to go presentation packaging was nice. Great spot for girls night or date night.

This place is awesome! I went here for my Birthday today! The food was awesome. The waiter was great. He got our drinks and food order very quick. Our food did not take long to receive. Both my meal and my husband's was so tasty. The food was hot and delicious! I had the lobster roll with fries and tea! The ambience was so romantic.

Stopped in for lunch at Butcher & Rose with a group after an event. The restaurant is beautiful and comfortable. The service we received was on par with all the other Cameron Mitchell restaurants (fantastic). I always like to try an old fashioned whenever I'm at a new restaurant and Butcher & Rose did not disappoint. When trying to decide on entrees, our waitress described the lobster roll as fresh, buttery and delicious so that's what I went with. Unfortunately, it was just a basic bun with basic lobster and a side of melted butter. I had been so looking forward to trying it, however there was no finesse or excitement to the dish. After the disappointing lobster roll, I decided to go all in for dessert and order the creme brûlée. It more than made up for my disappointing entree. It was beautiful, creative and most importantly, DELICIOUS. It was a great lunch despite the disappointing lobster roll and I will definitely be back for dinner service.

My boyfriend and I came here for a nice date night. The decor was so cute, the lighting was low, and the restaurant was very cozy. Our server Chris was helpful in explaining the menu and making recommendations. We decided to have a couple appetizer to split. Everything tasted so fresh and delicious. We ordered 6 dishes thinking they'd be smaller plates, but it was all good serving sizes. We left very full and satisfied. The only thing we weren't impressed by was the side of mushrooms. They were a bit overly oily for my liking. I would highly recommend any other dish that we ordered.

5 stars. Easily one of the best steaks I've had. The Caesar salad was so good, and the 8 oz filet was cooked perfectly. The whipped potatoes and baked mac and cheese were both amazing too. Everything was full of flavor, service was great, and we'll definitely be back.

Butcher & Rose is a vibe! The aesthetic here is modern steakhouse and the ambience is incredible! The service is top notch and you will have an amazing experience when you come! Food wise, everything is delicious! The beef Wellington is absolutely perfect The Miso sea bass has an unreal depth of flavor with the broth it's served in and you could eat an endless amount of the tasty parker house bread! On top of the food, the cocktails are so refreshing and unique and must tries!

Butcher & Rose is easily one of the best "special events" restaurants in Columbus. From the ambiance to the service to the food, everything here is top notch. Parking is across the street and simple - which is always a big plus for me in the downtown area. We arrived a few minutes before our reservation time but were seated promptly even though the place was humming. The ambiance is beautiful and elegant, so definitely dress the part for those Insta-posts. Our server Seph was very knowledgeable and affable. He was very thorough with going over the menu items and he gave us great pointers. Pro tip: the beef wellington here is a top seller, however, it is prepared wrapped in prosciutto. If you want it with the prosciutto, call the restaurant 72 hours ahead and they will prepare one for you without the prosciutto. This is one of those restaurants where the appetizers and sides are not a supporting cast - the Parker House rolls, the Dirty Tots, the Chili Roasted Broccoli, and the Potato Anna were all delicious, and they paired well with the perfectly cooked filets (get the Piedmont Filet). For drinks, we tried The Rose, which I thought was just ok compared to my Amaretto Sour, which was fantastic. All in all, a great meal. I look forward to coming back at B&R soon.

Soon as we entered the restaurant, we were greeted with a friendly welcome. We did make a reservation and we were seated promptly. Our server explained the menu thoroughly and made recommendations. As for the food, we ordered the Dirty Tots, the Chili Roasted Broccoli, and the Potato Anna, and the Piedmont Filet. For drinks, I ordered the Rose. Every dish was cooked perfectly with so much flavor. The menu is on the higher price side, but it's so worth it. The inside of the restaurant is clean and beautifully decorated with elegance and sophistication. Great food, beautiful ambiance, friendly staff...what else can you ask for. I highly recommend this place, especially for a special occasion.

What a fantastic experience at Butcher and Rose!! We loved all of our dishes, and the service was phenomenal. A top notch dining experience here in Columbus. They were also incredibly accommodating of a gluten free diet!! They had gluten free pretzels, which were a huge hit for the gluten free person and those of us who don't normally eat gluten free. The ambiance was excellent as well, the lighting and the sound level were perfect!

    Creamed Spinach
    Matt B.

Great experience from start to finish. Service was excellent -- our waiter struck that perfect balance of being friendly and professional. We started with the king crab brûlée, which was as good as it sounds -- rich, a little indulgent, and gone faster than we planned. The Wagyu flight was outstanding across the board, but the Japanese A5 was on another level entirely-- borderline unfair to the rest of the plate. Sides don't always get the spotlight, but the creamed spinach absolutely deserves it. If all vegetables tasted like that, I'd have made better life choices years ago. The potatoes Anna were also excellent --crispy, buttery, and exactly what you want them to be. Dessert sealed the deal. The honey butter cake was fantastic -- warm, rich, and worth saving room for (even if you think you don't have any left). My only "complaint," if you can call it that, is I was hoping to see a bananas foster on the menu -- but I'll survive. Overall, a great meal, great atmosphere, and a place we'll definitely be back to.

Excellent food, service, and ambiance! Went for a date night and it definitely exceeded our expectations! The food was excellent! Definitely pay for the bread service, the rose cocktail, and Mac n cheese! Also, the chili crusted broccoli was a yummy surprise! Definitely pricey $$$$, but worth the experience!!

Beauty restaurant with great decor. We were able to score a last minute reservation before their big dinner rush. They have valet parking available which is super convenient since it's downtown. My favorite part of our entire dining experience was the appetizers - specifically the baked scalloped dish. It's potatoes, cheese, and diced scallops which makes the most delicious thing ever. Seriously, if you're hesitating on which appetizers to get, I highly recommend getting this!! The main entrees were decent but nothing I was super impressed.

We were a little worried but decided to see it through. I'm so glad we did! Everything about our experience was amazing. Valet parking is available which is always a plus. Walking in you're well aware you're in an upscale restaurant. The lights are dim and the design is rich and romantic. We arrived early and sat at the bar while waiting for our table. The hostess and the bartenders were all very attentive and professional. The hostess came to get us when our table was ready and we were asked if we preferred the elevator or stairs -we opted for the stairs going in, after filling our bellies we took the elevator! Our booth was spacious and comfortable, shaped almost circular so that we could sit close together but large enough there is plenty of space for more people. Our waiter, Sam, and his assistant, Brandon, very promptly arrived and introduced themselves. They brought amazing rye & sourdough bread in a basket with 2 choices of butter. Sam was very knowledgeable about the menu and his recommendations were on par with what we had in mind. We both ordered half salads, I ordered the Freddie and my husband had the Iceberg Blue. Both fresh and flavorful, neither of us could choose a favorite. For our entrees my husband opted for the Steak Collinsworth and I chose the pork chops... we both were impressed with the pork chops. Very flavorful and juicy with just the perfect amount of charring. We also ordered mashed potatoes and creamed spinach. It was all delicious! My husband really enjoyed the creamed spinach and said it was among the best he's had. We were too full for dessert, but Sam treated us to a cupcake for our anniversary. The experience from beginning to end could not have been better. We were thoroughly impressed and will definitely be back!

Didnt have anything unique about it just was don't like a filet should be done. The carrot was cooked to perfection which brought her review up. The fried potato was also amazing best part of the whole dish, especially with whatever spread they put on it. The fillet was not the highlight the carrot and the potato were. This dish has potential the flavors around it were very fresh but the hamachi was room temperature when it should be ice cold and the flavors felt like an after thought. Overall: 6.5/10 - I would recommend this place to someone who doesn't really care about Food that much and is wowed by like an STK or a more chain like "fancy restaurant" I was hoping to get more of a small boutique very intentional experience at this restaurant just based on the outside by the field, but it definitely feels like they've cut a few corners when it comes to building a really unique food experience I would love to come back and give it another try because maybe I just came at an off time. I love Ted's Montana Grill but don't know why this location delivery service via DoorDash is so bad. I placed an order and received a confirmation email for a chili and loaded baked potato. The email confirmation was at 6:28 PM on Sunday, Aug 23 with a delivery time estimate of 6:50-7:09pm. The location of the restaurant is half a mile away. DoorDash sent someone within 15 minutes to go pick the order up. When the delivery person got there, they waited 15 minutes and had to leave for another order, then another DoorDash delivery driver arrived waited 15 minutes and had to leave, then a third DoorDash delivery driver arrived and was told it was gonna be 20 minutes so they had to leave then a fourth Driver and then a fifth Driver. No joke. When the fifth Driver was there I personally called Ted's explaining the situation and to ask if there was an issue with my baked potato and chili. Whoever I spoke with didn't even know there had been 5 doordash drivers waiting for the order or that anybody was waiting for the order. Meanwhile, he goes back to check in the kitchen and it's sitting there waiting to be picked up in the window. I received my order at 8:02PM. The driver sent photos of the restaurant and kitchen staff to show it wasn't even busy - be aware. They may not be your best choice for dinner if you are on a timeline, however, the chili & baked potato was delicious especially since I was starving after waiting an extra hour.
