Just returned from Outback Commack. Both my wife and I were very disappointed in the portion size of our meals. I ordered a full rack of ribs and received 6 ribs. First I order a salad STEAKHOUSE SALAD, which was not to my liking, I thought to order something else, but never had the opportunity to do it, because the server never came to check on us. Of course ribeyes are more marbled than other cuts, we get that- but these steaks were like pieces of rubber and mainly impossible to cut with a steak knife. I went to Outback with my family and had a wonderful time! Our server was SIERRA O, she was Great! Pleasant personality and very knowledgeable of the menu. We ordered a couple Apps and Steaks for dinner. The food was great and came out in a timely manner. It was a busy evening, we have been to this location before, but I have to say this young lady was a pro, very attentive and on top of her station even though I knew she was running around. She took the time out to make menu suggestions and checked on our table throughout our dinner. Which is a nice change from some of the other chain restaurants, where you are lucky if the server comes back after taking the order. We will definitely be back! read more

Excellent service, great if you have any allergies. The owner George was tremendous, he came and checked on us (and other tables near us). He and the wait staff expressed Outback's commitment to quality food service for folks with allergies - the kitchen staff change their gloves before preparing your plate as part of their usual care, and all food is made to order. They have a menu for those with an allergy to gluten or celiac disease. The NFL game played in the background, and the guys in our group really enjoyed watching from the booths. I'm back here, a little over a week from our last visit. Upon posting my previous review of 1 stars, which was even being generous, the owner of this location personally reached out to me. Now that's customer service. He apologized and hoped we would return for another chance. Upon arriving yesterday (Sunday night) there was a decent wait. We were told 25 minutes- but were seated in about 10 which was great. We didn't mention anything about having a bad experience last time, and the owner wasn't even in the restaurant. We were seated an a generously spacious table. Our server was the freaking superstar last night! Gregory G. was the best waiter we've had in a while. He had an upbeat attitude, friendly smile, and was so quick to serve us. He brought our party of 6, 2 loaves of bread. I swear we never once asked for a refill of our sodas, but he always brought them right in time- which was amazing. We started off with the bloomin' onion which was fresh and hot! He brought two sauces to accommodate our party. Now last time we had a major issue of the way our steaks were cooked. All our steaks were PERFECTLY COOKED. He got the temperatures right, and made sure they were wood-fire grilled. We served us with jokes and a doggie bag for our puppy! The food was good, but the service was spectacular. We went to Outback to have a steak dinner. Menu showed lots of choices. I chose the steak medallions but asked for it without garlic butter. I said just grilled. Also STEAMED broccoli . The food was sooo over salted it was almost not edible. The broccoli was salt laden and not just steamed as described. It could have been a great dinner. Very disappointing. We just got the food curbside and I spent over $150 now to be quite honest it's not even about how much I spent but the fact that I spent anything on this meal. It is literally the worst food I have ever eaten!!! Burger was raw most of the shrimp were raw and not edible!!! If I wanted sushi I know plenty of places!!! Alice chicken was literally charred chicken and couldn't eat it! Coconut shrimp HAD NO COCONUT ON IT!!! I ordered the 14oz Rib-eye and it was juicy and cooked to perfection. I ordered with upgraded Grilled Asparagus and Sweet Potato which was also tasty. Restaurant was packed and service was still awesome. Attentive, nice, professional staff. Stopped in for Lunch today. Service was very attentive even though only 1 bartender was working the entire bar area (including the booths) the food was not up to par for outback. We both had the 6 ounce sirloin. 1 was about 1.5" thick and the other was the standard 3/4" thickness. The thicker one was full of tendons and wasn't really edible. read more

Came in for lunch with a friend I hadn't seen in a while, wanted something local and nice, ended up having an unexpectedly wonderful dining experience. Our server, Larry, was a delight in every way, knowledgeable about the menu when even I didn't know what I wanted and endlessly helpful with every small request. I can't speak to the dinner service, but for lunch I had a dining experience so impressive that I'll be returning any chance I get. The more I come here the more I love it !! What I love is I really can eat healthy when I want. They will make anything you want with or without seasoning. My favorite place for a quick great meal is to sit at the bar with Jason, Erin, Shannon or Lauren who's new to us but so nice and friendly. It's so nice to come sit at the bar and relax with them. I went here on a Friday night with a few of my girlfriends and I must say that I was extremely surprised on the service we were given. Tia was our waitress and she is the most pleasant waitress I have come across in a while, not only did she accommodate us, but she kept us laughing the whole time. So let me start off by saying I have NEVER written a bad review online in my 32 years of life, but my experience at The Outback today was so horrible I had to make a yelp account just to inform others of my experience. My family and I were greeted by the hosts at the front desk, brought to our table and were told that our server Nicole would be right with us. It started off okay, but our appetizers took a while to come out. We understood that they were decently busy, although, Nicole displayed a lack of concern of how long we were waiting. We had to ask 2 other servers who passed by to check on the appetizers for us. Mind you, we have children with us and if you have kids you know how they're like ticking time bombs waiting to explode if they are waiting too long to get what they want/need. The chicken wings were red and slightly bloody inside but at this point we weren't going to ask to have them remade. The Blooming Onion was great though. As more time went by, we received our main courses. Our food came out and some of our sides were missing along with some sauces we had requested to be brought out. We were told it would be right out, fine, no big deal. But when they did come, my daughters French fries were way too well done, my sons strawberries from his kids fruit cup were mushy/brown, and my broccoli was hard and undercooked. This is an unacceptable way to present food to paying customers regardless of high restaurant volume or not. We asked for refills on our drinks and Nicole said okay but the look on her face and tone in her voice made it seem like it was nothing but an inconvenience to her. Overall, we just felt unwelcome, not properly serviced, and we left with the intention of never coming back. Management needs to step up their game and train their servers and cooks better!!!! read more

Went there tonight for about the 800th time. I normally love the place, as outback has my favorite cheese fries. The fact they keep cutting the portions down and are very stingy with the air conditioning (when me and my friends come from a sporting event) is bad enough, but tonight we had a server who was obviously a new girl. And let me tell you, she was the rudest, pushiest, worst waitress I've ever had in my entire life. Not only did she basically try to push all the expensive options on us, but she also ARGUED with me over how much ranch dressing i would need--saying the portions were big enough. Then she disagreed with me over whether or not that bowl has been the bowl that was normally used--I've been to outback about 800 times, I know how big the ranch portions are supposed to be. Then she basically had an attitude whenever we asked for refills or more bread. I swear to God, this was the first time in my life I left a tip that was less than 15%, heck I normally leave at least 20-25%, but this waitress just pissed me the heck off. On the bright side, the food is still great--I just wish they didn't keep cutting the portions but raising the prices. read more

I have been ordering from this Outback for my Sunday night dinners. The last few weeks have been frustrating. Today was disgusting. I order filet mignon, salad and broccoli. I always check the box for plastic utensils and bread. The bread is one of the reasons I go there. They Never include the silverware. No bread last two times. Today I added a lobster tail to my meal. I picked up my food late so was hurried out. No utensils. No bread. Door is locked. Bag smells strong of seafood. Drive away. Smell gets stronger and stronger and I realize the lobster tail is spoiled. I pull over in CVS parking lot. Open the box with the lobster tail and damn near threw up. How could the chef serve this? I quickly threw it away. The smell lingered on everything. Meal was awful. Why don't they just add utensils and bread to every order since they can't get that straight? They think they are so clever having you check those boxes. My receipt said bread and utensils. Apparently no one reads and no one has a sense of smell there. I'm done!! read more

I have ordered dinner over the phone and each time it took on average 10 minutes longer than they said it would take. The girls at the take out need to talk less and work more. The burgers were always barely warm, bacon soggy, French fries... what French fries? If we get 9 we consider ourselves lucky. Great business model, lets not give them more of the cheapest item we have. The only reason I gave them 2 stars is because they actually know how to cook a burger. Saturday night was my first experience a Outback. We were a party of four, used the "call ahead" seating, so we were seated almost immediately, even though others were waiting. Service was great- a young man- didn't get his name, but he was VERY good. We all had the "Victoria" filet mignon. Meat was EXCELLENT, and done just right. I had Brocolli- was steamed just right and was delicious. Great baked potato capped the meal. Price was ok, didn't feel ripped off for the quality of the food. Wow! went there tonight for my uncles 60th birthday party and boy was I surprised! The service was out of this world and the food arrived quickly for our party of 18. I believe he is the owner, this very helpful young man, named George, was on top of everything down to the very detail of making sure my uncle got his cake served without us needing to remind him after dinner was over. I wasn't expecting such a poor experience. We ordered drinks and our waiter never brought sweetener, despite asking for it twice. Finally my husband went up to the hostess and got it. We both ordered the six oz. filet, his medium rare and mine medium well. They arrived, his two inches thick, mine one inch and swimming in red juice. When asked about the size difference the waitress said mine had to cook longer; I don't buy it. I immediately cut into the center of mine as the red juice was not a good sign. It was red in the middle. So I placed my plate at the end of the table expecting the waiter to return shortly. My husbands meal was getting cold so I encouraged him to eat. The other waiters and waitresses rushed past our table but not our waiter. Finally my husband was finished with his meal and my plate still sat, untouched, at the edge of the table. My husband again went up to the hostess. Shortly after a waitress arrived at our table to take my steak. The manager apologized and offered us "Endless shrimp". We declined. My steak arrived and we weren't charged for either meal. Unfortunately, it didn't make up for such a poor experience. read more

today my wife and I went to this outback, I had simply grilled mahi and my wife ordered pork porterhouse, my mahi was smaller than the mashed potato pile, and my wifes porter house was dry and crusted, and her vegies were raw, she asked if they could recook the vegies and the waitress apologized and took it back, she came out and told her the manager was bringing it out to her, when he arrived (just as she was finishing her meal) it was grilled to death, burnt ends and all. He was sorry and said he would take care of the bill (which never happened) I paid and left, for our movie. Terrible cooking, and poor management, this restaurant is not what it used to be.
