The wait was about 49 minutes, we got there around 6:30 pm and were seated by 7:10 pm. The iced tea was great. The bread was Sister Shusters rolls served piping hot with whipped butter. The only negative is I hate eating at the table in the middle of the room and that's where we were sitting but, once the food started coming I totally forgot about it. Again, our server was nice and attentive. Would we go back? Nope. Zig Ziglar has always said you should always have your best person on the phone or at the front desk. They're the face of your business and the first person the customer sees or speaks to. They set the tone and impression of a customer visit. She needs some serious customer service training. On July 19, 2022, my wife and I ate a night meal at Outback Steak House, in D'Iberville, MS. We've eaten there a lot (a zillion times), hence my 5-star rating. Should you go to this Outback, ask for Jeremy to wait on you. He's served us more than once and is always johnny-on-the-spot checking on us to see if we needed anything. He gets 5-stars also. On a different note, I sure wish Outback would bring back their 'onion petals' menu selection. The 'blooming onion' they have now is so big, the two of us can only eat about half of it - if that, and I hate to waste food. We can eat all of an 'onion petals' selection. Also, I guess because of the state of the economy (inflation) and supply chain issues, the only veggies available are either broccoli or asparagus. In the past, their veggie selection was broccoli, carrots, squash, and zucchini, which was excellent. I enjoyed these veggies as much as the steak! Sure, wish that selection would make comeback! We were amazed that we were able to get right in at 7pm on Saturday. I now know why, hands down the worst experience at Outback. Took two trips to get drinks correct, appetizer went to another table ( waiter's response "my bad" still on the bill, three bacon bits on loaded potato with little to no butter and steak over cooked. Clueless manager walked past table clearly avoiding eye contact. Told waiter that we weren't paying for an appetizer that they gave to another table and he responded with "just no my night" he never apologized for the poor service. He was friendly, engaging, and knew what he was talking about when it came to finding a good cabernet to go with my steak! The food tasted great. We have been loyal guests for six years and usually enjoy exceptional meals and service, which made this visit especially disappointing. We began with the Lollipop Lamb Chops in a fig balsamic glaze, along with the pepper soup and spinning salad. The pepper soup was rich, creamy, and absolutely delicious, and the spinning salad was just as good as always. After finishing our soup and salad, we waited over 30 minutes for the next course. When the food finally arrived, it was not the lamb chops we had ordered as our appetizer, instead, our main courses were brought out. I ordered my steak medium, but it arrived well done, and my au gratin potatoes were overwhelmed with cheese. My husband's fish was prepared correctly, but his creamed spinach was noticeably overcooked. When we asked about the missing lamb chops, our waitress whom we had only seen once the entire evening returned to say they were bringing them out but would remove them from the bill. I also mentioned my overcooked steak, and it took another 15 minutes to receive a replacement. I requested to speak with the manager to express my concerns about the delays, the missing appetizer, and the improperly cooked entrée. His only response was, "Well, I took the lamb chops off your bill," before walking away. That level of dismissiveness was unacceptable. We have always received gracious, attentive service here, which is why this experience stood out so sharply. Unfortunately, our last two visits have been noticeably slower with declining service.

Because we paid almost half off our dinner, I rated higher. Had I paid full price, I probably would have complained and definitely sent the lamb back. And a 3 star rating would've been warranted.
