So we decided to come back and check out if they had gotten their act together. I'm happy to report that they have improved. Not all the way but much better than the first time with a few notable exceptions. When we first walked in we were greeted by a less than enthusiastic hostess. She looked like she was in need a shot of double black Cuban coffee (if such a thing existed). Poor thing had the energy level of a sloth (and I'm not making it up). We were promptly seated - at the exact same table as we sat our first time. Our waitress arrived and she was friendly, courteous, and attentive. We ordered our food and it was brought una timely manner. As part of my meal, I ordered a potato soup which I never got to try because the kitchen never brought it over. We told our server that and while she was very apologetic and she offered to get me something else, I simply didn't want anything else. No dessert so can't comment on that. This location is almost brand new & the interior is huge and open. Service was excellent! I tend to avoid the location near me for various reasons, but the Dania Beach location gave me hope that a great steak chain restaurant does indeed still exist. We started with the steak cheese dip. The chips were fresh & held the dip without breaking. The Caesar was meh but fresh. I had the steak frittes & the meat was excellent! We also had the Kingsland Pasta. This is our 2nd visit to this Outback. Let me say that we frequent Other Outbacks in South Florida and even in Vegas and the steaks are always good, tasty, and well Seasoned but not hot and spicy except at this location. I had previously complained to the owner when they recently opened. Today the steak again was too spicy and my husband couldn't even eat half of his steak. Honestly...our youngest casually mentioned outback as we were looking at what was nearby while staying in Dania Beach before our cruise the next day and I said I hadn't been there in over 20 years, but I remember as a kid they had good Mac n cheese. Soooo, that was all it took...he was begging to go to outback (he loves Mac n cheese). So we went. They had a 4 course deal for like $15.99. Came with a 6 oz sirloin or chicken breast. I wasn't starving and I know that sirloin is likely the least desired cut of meat, but I was like whatever, I'll try it. The deal included soup, salad, entree with side and dessert. So I got French onion soup, which was amazing. Salad, was ok...I mean, salad is never really amazing. But the steak, fanfreakingtastic! Was heavy spiced with their signature seasoning, which I surprisingly loved. Baked sweet potato which was actually done (most places aren't completely cooked) and raspberry cheesecake. Kids rib: was super cooked the border of the ribs was hard and over cooked. Two pastas with shrimp and steak and both steak were over cooked One burger which is the only plate that complied the customer. Terrible, even for a chain restaurant. Manager that came over and admitted they put my salmon back on the grill and OVERCOOKED it instead of just making me a new dish is severely undertrained. First the manager greeted us at the door and then we were walked to a table outside which we requested the place was very clean and the service was amazing. The food came quickly and it was perfect and very tasty. I've been meaning to write this so hopefully corporate will read it. I run a small medical office & had a rep bring us lunch from here. In my 41 years of life I have never had worse alien chicken than we were served from Outback. I'm not trying to be funny when I call it alien chicken. This was inedible & everyone in the office felt the same way. The toughest, slimiest, chewiest, most disgustingly inedible excuse for chicken ever. E-V-E-R. This has nothing to do with the way it was prepared either. The seasoning was nice & had the chicken been sourced from chickens that weren't pumped full of god knows what, & sold as normal chicken, it may have actually been tasty. This is because corporate Outback sources their chicken from clearly a horrible distributor. My husband is big in corporate restaurants & I have a great deal of knowledge in this field & I'm also human so I know what chicken is supposed to taste & feel like lol. I'll tell you what, I wouldn't be surprised if Outback has the same distributor as Smokey Bones because they too (used to at least since I won't eat there anymore either) serve a very similar alien chicken. After sitting down, the waitress (very friendly) appeared after 5 minutes, we ordered sodas and water that were served by her immediately. From there we put the reference order, they brought us bread and butter (at our request). The wait began, soda and water were served again because the order did not arrive, the Bread was finished, and the order did not arrive, we requested the attention of the waitress, she apologized for the delay and told us that in "2 minutes" The order arrived, we set the alarm to be sure, the two minutes became 10 and we decided to leave, we left a tip of 20.00 for the Bread and sodas and we left the place !!!. ¿ Lack of respect, professionalism, attention, prestige???. We don't know, we only see this as mistreatment!!!! It was recommended to us as good and we decided to go. Now, I do not recommend anyone to go, or waste your time !!!!. Went to Outback today for some food and drinks. First off seemed like the bartender was having a bad night but we waited until she was able to clean the bar area and after take our drink order. Took around 10 minutes (that is a whole drink) for my friend and I to get to a drink. First started off asking the bartender for a drink and to order but she was busy but then later on was able to order all at once. Had to ask for another drink as my friends drink was empty. We eventually put all in ( app, said, and dinn). We went and asked for another glass, then asked for the manager about all the issues we already had. Spoke with Becky. The manager was very rude and was not about hospitality service. We decide to wrap it up and order an dessert and 2 drinks ( wanted espresso martini but they do not make, so decided an another glass of wine (3rd glass). New manager Travis took over and said I had enough, 2 glasses, and that was it. Very strange, no loudness just talking with a friend. We asked the issue and he said Becky said there was an issue. This is one of their newer locations and it is so pretty. This is the second time i have been there this month and the service by Cory and food are consistent. I ordered the top shelf margarita and it was wonderful and fairly priced. Then i had the 12 ounce prime rib. I asked for it medium rare and it came out perfectly. The sides i had were broccoli and a loaded baked potato. I was happy to know they can make the potato without salt on the skin. The prices are very fair, the food and drinks were fabulous and i will surely be back again. read more

Very disappointed with our meals today. It was 5 of us on a Tuesday at 730 pm, not too busy. The place was clean, service was quick. Our main complaint was the food. The blooming onions were undercooked and underbreaded. The baked potato soup was terrible!!!! It is supposed to be like a thick white soup, and it was thin like a broth. I've had that soup many times and it didn't even taste the same, it was very sour and tangy, perhaps it was rancid. Out of the 5 steaks, 2 were overcooked from medium to well-done. The sweet potato was very bitter and couldn't be eaten. The rest of the food also had issues. We did let the waitress know and she said she would let the staff know, but a manager didn't come to see us which is usually the case with unsatisfied customers. Hadn't been to an Outback in a while, as our last two experiences at other locations were disappointing. Decided to give this new location a try and am very glad we did. The service provided by Maya was top notch and both our appetizer and main courses were served piping hot. Some friendly patrons at the next table told us how much they enjoyed this particular location as well and that they drive out of their way to come here. The outstanding service made this feel like much more than your average, or even above average, chain restaurant. We will definitely be back again soon! read more

Definitely my favorite place to eat .. This place has transformed since the new manager Katrina took over .. she is awesome!! Super friendly and helpful when we had allergy concerns. Our server Jessie was very attentive. He has a million dollar smile. My kids had lots of crazy requests and he made them feel important and assisted them with every request. There's an Outback much closer to my home, but this one has won me over. This is the only one I'll come to as long as Katrina and Jessie are here!!
