My sweet brother gave me an Outback Steakhouse gift card for my birthday. It had been some time since we had been to the local franchise. After watching most of the NASCAR race, I noted that the Outback sponsored driver had finished in the top 10, guaranteeing us a free Bloomin' Onion the following Monday just by saying "Bloomin' Monday!!" to our waitperson. Hey, I loved Bloomin' Onions and it turned out I could handle the pressure. They are still delicious, folks! They're $10.00 now! but delicious!! I ordered the Outbacker Burger with bleu cheese crumbles and bacon and my husband chose the the Alice Springs Chicken; a wood-fire grilled chicken breast topped with sautéed mushrooms, bacon, melted Monterey Jack and Cheddar and honey mustard sauce served with Aussie Fries. My burger was tender and perfectly medium rare. There are a lot of restaurants making burgers out there who can't get that right. Medium and on up yes; medium rare, no. Perfectly seasoned, it was simply a great burger on a great bun. The chicken was a different story. The chicken itself was well cooked. Everything else on it was a disaster. A salty disaster. The fries were good. The chicken went home and was dismantled and eaten with a little of the overly rich topping. I neglected to mention the truly tasty French Onion soup, though, I had as a side. Weird choice, I know. But if you knew how much I love it... The Outback French Onion is very beefy and has the right proportion of broth to cheese and bread. It comes in a crock and stays unctuous and warm for a long time. Their Australian brown bread is warm and perfect for two. We found we still like the concept and it's still probable that beef is your best choice. Our waitress demonstrated excellence in service and was still genuinely friendly and fun. Haven't been to Outback in several years and can't say I'll be back anytime soon. Was seated in booth near the bar and had to listen to black guys curse up a storm and use the N word about 100 times very loudly. One of them was openly vaping in the restaurant and blowing who knows what chemicals into the air we're breathing. When you have kids working there and no adult management in sight what can you expect. They discounted my meal but I shouldn't have had to pay one penny for that meal because it was not one bit enjoyable. read more

Gets 2 stars only because my waitress Allison was awesome. I ordered the ribeye medium rare. When the steak was first brought out it was very dark on the outside. When I cut into it. It was rare, cold to the touch. When they brought it back out it was so burnt on the outside it had a terrible taste to it. They had the burnt side down like that was going to mask anything. I asked for ketchup. That didn't even help. Sitting here typing this I can smell the burnt. Sad this place was close to my home. Actually read reviews and have been to probably 20-30 Outbacks and the service was great for us. We arrived at 530pm on a Tuesday and the crowd was light not full at all. Server/bartender greeted us immediately. Placed our order, been here so many times that we normally stick to the same thing. Husband order a 6oz MR Filet with a baked potato, shrimp on the Barbie and sautéed mushrooms with a house salad with tangy tomato dressing. He said everything was great, he did think the mushrooms had more wine in it then usual. I ordered a house salad with blu cheese dressing and their appetizer Shrimp on the Barbie. My pre birthday lunch was delicious. I had the sirloin steak with loaf bake potato, house salad with balsamic vinegar dressing, potato soup, and classic cheesecake. All was prepared well and again was delicious. However, our service was poor. It took over 15 minutes to even get our drink order. And it was not very busy. Then when our food came out it came out all at one time. No time to just eat your soup or salad. Bread came out mid way thru the meal. The drinks was very sweet and not mixed probably. Okay, an hour earlier, my mother & I had tried to go to On the Border and were turned away at 730 because they decided to close early on a Sunday. We then looped around d the freeway to try Cracker Barrel which told us almost an hour wait even though looking thru the window I counted a total of 10 tables in the whole restaurant. So we tried Outback and I was scared at 1st because they looked busy asf But we were promptly greeted, sat, & orders were taken all within 10 minutes. Writing this review for our waiter Tyler. Big fella, built like a HOF tackle, that absolutely delivered with kindness, humor, and candor. My wife and I were celebrating our son's 12th birthday with my two older kids and their mom. We had a good dinner, not great because the chain food for restaurants as a whole has just taken a dip. I did however felt compelled to write a review on behalf of a fantastic server who understands the hospitality industry as a server. I don't know if these are read or exposed to those who desert them, but if you attend this Outback, ask for Tyler; good cat with a good sense of humor, and clearly a good upbringing. First time at this location, went here about 5pm the host said we can sit anywhere in the bar. Walked up to the bar which was very dirty with water and crumbs of food. The bartender was right there I told my wife for us to sit in a booth because the bar was very dirty and the bartender heard me which I wanted. I wanted her to hear me thinking she would say oh let me wipe it down for you but instead she said we could sit in the booth if we wanted to do we sat in a booth right next to the bar. We sat there for 10 minutes and no one waited on us even though there was 3 people behind the bar. We got up and left after waiting 10 minutes, oh and the bartender never did wipe down the bar. Outback experience was terrible my server didn't care to talk to my family and the food came out slow

When traveling as an out of town group of 8 adults it is understood that gratuity is charged for service. Arriving at Outback Steakhouse and being told there was no table to fit our party was unfortunate yet completely understandable. However the situation escalated to an aggravation when the manager, Carrie, explained to our party that while we could be seated 4 persons to 2 booths, we would still be charged 20% per person because we were seated in the same section. These booths are separated by high walls, our party split into 2 groups of 4, and the only element connecting us is the waitress Leanne. Before writing this review Carrie again explained and confirmed that although separated we indeed would be charged 20% per person because we were sitting in the same section regardless of sitting together. Carrie went on to explain that the 20% gratuity came into affect when 8 people were seated simultaneously in one section. When asked if 2 separate parties of 4 came into Outback previously or thereafter our experience would they be charged 20% gratuity as well, Carrie answered no. When asked if 20% gratuity would be charged if 4 persons from our group sat in a different section, the manager confirmed no. Carrie stated "because this is how Leanne makes her living, 20% gratuity is being charged". Leanne's service was above par and for her alone our party would return. However the reasoning given by Carrie was unexpected and unheard of by our frequently traveling party when visiting other restaurants. Order placed at 6:50pm for our group of 4. Salads came to the table at 7:10pm. Main course came to table at 7:21pm. Restaurant is moderately busy. read more

This was my first time not only at this Outback but to any Outback Steakhouse. I always wanted to try it but I don't really buy steak. I had a Yelp friend that told me that they had burgers a while back(years) and so yesterday I came to try it. Is it a sport bar and grill or do they just have a couple of tv's about- don't know. It's tables, booths, and seating at the bar from what I saw. I sat at a two seated booth area that was comfortable. I didn't see much of the decor but it did seem like seating almost started when you walked in. My waitress was Rebecca and she was ever so nice. I'm never the one that needs much but I can say that I wanted for nothing. She asked often was I okay and I appreciate that. I want to say I ordered the Bloomin' Burger. It had some of their special bloomin' onions and a spicy sauce on it. Fries, drink of soda and a mini dessert also. It wasn't a big burger but had a great taste My dessert was the Minister Chocolate Parfait with bits of Oreo's throughout. Babyyyy it was so good. Everything was delicious.
