Great service and food! Waiter was super kind and even brought a little something for the birthday we were celebrating. Everything smelled and tasted great! Pricey but delicious. Very chill and mellow ambiance.

    Anniversary gift and card

The whole staff signed a card for our anniversary and gave us a complimentary chocolate strawberry. Our server Ashley was excellent. Perfect for a date night.

The food was great like always, but the service we received from Cody was the greatest service. I think I may have had in my adult life going to restaurants. He was on it personable awesome to talk to. Hey got anything and everything we needed. Just amazing at what he does a true professional and good dude.

Great night last night. Had some time before her flight so we decided to do it up right. We got our seats reserved on Open Table and it was so easy. Being the 4th of July weekend they had a special. We ordered drinks and started the research into the menu choices. My smoked old fashioned was perfect! Great drink. She had an "Absolute Stress" she loved it. "I could drink this like Kool aid". She is gluten free so we were pleasantly surprised to see they could completely accommodate. We skipped the salad. Dinner was yummy. We got the Mojo cooking style but the pork and shrimp We're covered in so much Cajun seasoning it quickly masked the flavor of the liquid. It was still good. Nice dessert and again accommodating the gluten free aspect with gluten free brownies. Good job!

This was our first time at a MP and we loved it. Of course it was expensive but worth the whole experience. Definitely have to go at least once. Come on

    So sweet! Literally and figuratively!

What an unbelievable experience! My wife and I came here to celebrate our 17th wedding anniversary (more on that in a bit) which I had casually mentioned when making our reservation. We made our reservations on Friday so we could not get in Saturday but we did get and excellent time for Sunday. We were greeted and sat with no wait. Finally, a place that agrees; a reservation is an actual commitment not an approximation... Our table had a Happy Anniversary card signed by the staff...what?! It's the little things, am I right? Our waitress was so friendly and personable! We walked us through the whole process and helped us with our choices. Honestly, left on our own we would have not had nearly as much fun. When I say, "IT WAS SOOO MUCH FOOD" please take heed. Started with a bucket of steaming hot melty cheese with a hill of bread, fruit and veggies. Decadent to say the least! Next, we were brought out one of the best Caesar salads I have had. No exaggeration here at all. It was the star of the experience. Then we were brought out the meats. The glorious little (but many) cuts of pork, chicken, steak, shrimp. You prepare them your self on a hot plate grill. Very much like a traditional Korean Bulgogi bar if you've ever been to one. Everything was pre-seasoned and the task of preparing it ourselves was so much fun! Finally, out came our chocolate fondue. We were actually kind of dreading that at this point. We had overfilled the tank at this point but quite a bit...but like good troops, we soldiered on. I really am having a little trouble remembering what was on the desert tray at this point as I was in a meat coma. Along with the card, at the desert course, our waitress brought out a plate that wished us a happy anniversary again with a dipped strawberry. Just so cool of them. I mentioned my anniversary in passing and they truly went way above and beyond! Do this. You will not regret it.

I had been wanting to go to this restaurant for several years and we finally made it in last night for the first time. We were celebrating my birthday, and it was such a great way to celebrate. When we arrived, the entire parking lot was full--this was about 5:30 on a Saturday night. I'm not sure if it's the neighboring hotel next door, or other restaurants--it definitely didn't look that busy. That being said, we were greeted immediately and the door held open for us. My husband booked reservations, so when we got to our table, they had chocolate covered strawberries and balloons! We also had our picture taken. The restaurant is very nice! We were in a small booth that was very secluded, which was a nice touch. We were greeted by our server, Luke, who was absolutely phenomenal and made it a great experience! He was so informative and had a great personality. We will definitely be coming back and asking for him! We started with the cheese fondue. We opted for the Fiesta. It was absolutely amazing! I could've just eaten that and been thrilled. It came with a lot of bread and veggies. We also added in the charcuterie board which had summer sausage, chorizo, prosciutto, olives, pickles, peppers, and crackers paired with a nice mustard and fig jelly. Our second course were the salads. I got the Caesar and my husband got the California. I wasn't expecting much with the Caesar, but it was actually one of the best Caesar's I've ever had. The toasted pine nuts were a fantastic addition. For our third course, we got the Bigger Night Out. It came with a lobster tail, filet mignon, teriyaki steak, chicken, shrimp, salmon, and mushroom ravioli. We got the Mojo style of cooking. I'm not a seafood person at all, but I did try it. I can't believe how flavorful everything was! The sauces on the side were amazing, and it also came with veggies. The last course was dessert and we chose the turtle fondue. It came with so many sides which were all amazing. Everything just had so much flavor. The restaurant was clean and even the manager, Jackie (I think was her name), came by to visit. This was one of the better dining experiences I've had in a while. Combined with the service and the food, I was so impressed. Definitely recommend!

    Desert

My son and I had a great time. We ate at the bar and the bartenders were friendly, attentive and on top of it despite being slammed. The food was delicious. We started with the spinach and artichoke cheese appetizer. We ordered a Land and Sea Entree to split and added a side of wild mushroom ravioli for my son. We got the yummy dessert too. Highly recommend. Wish we had one on our side of Charlotte.

Took my wife here for date night and her very first time and couldn't have been happier. The waiter Cody was unbelievable maybe one of the best waiters I have ever had. The food speaks for itself and everything about this was amazing. Will definitely be coming back.

My husband and I chose to come here last minute and thankful we were able to get a reservation! We cancelled on the on we had and came here. From the time we were greeted at the door to the time we left was a very incredible experience. We participated in the Thursdate Date Night and we enjoyed every minute. Everything was delicious and I know it was because my husband stated "this is the 3rd best experience I've had at a restaurant here!" It was amazing and for it being his first time, he's ready to come back!

Came here for a Galentine's date with my daughter. We were seated. Brandon was our server and everything was great from beginning to end. Restrooms were clean, and tables were marked for social distancing and to show which ones were ready for guests. It seems like guests were spread out throughout the restaurant, creating even more space. A rainy weeknight could also contribute to that as well. I'm familiar with the concept but my daughter was not. Everything was explained and the courses ran smoothly. Food was good and customer service was excellent. Would come here again just for Brandon alone.

I wish I could give the melting pot even more stars then 5. We had our 12th anniversary dinner here and from start to finish we had an awesome experience on every level. When we got seated at our table, there was a box of chocolate covered strawberries and an anniversary card signed by the restaurant staff. Our server was Allysa who was so helpful and her knowledge of the menu was perfect for us first timers. We spent about 3 hours there being relaxed and not hurried at all enjoying every course of the meal and have our private booth which was so intimate. I can't rave enough about the amazing experience your whole staff gave us. Thank you for your hospitality. It was an EPIC anniversary for us.

The place is lively without being too loud, you can easily have a conversation going and not have to shout at each other. Our server, Krystyna, took our drink orders and offered to put in an appetizer to start. We went with the deviled eggs, these are so delicious, but as I have said before, they are pricey. Entrees were next. We decided on the Tomahawk pork chop with charred carrots and ancient grain pilaf. It looked like a caveman's plate! The chop was tender and flavorful and the carrots were 3 whole carrots that you had to cut up. Very different. The best part was the ancient grain side. So, so good. Nice compliment to the chop and carrots. I had to take half home it was just so much food. Next entree was the 7oz Filet with Parmesan mashed potatoes. Garlic butter was added to the steak which finished it off nicely. It was cooked to the right temperature and looked delicious. We were interested in dessert, but not something so big. The prices were still $30 a head. I don't think there was a time limit for how long you could stay then. Now it's $40 a head (which inflation.... I get it) with a two hour limit. My main issue is the ambiance is horrible!!! They painted the big wooden booths with this cheap sticky black paint that's slowly coming off. I was wearing shorts and it was PAINFUL if I got up too quickly. The lighting is cold and uncomfortable. It's not a welcoming place to dine anymore. A completely depressing environment. Everything looks like it's in disrepair and being very poorly maintained. The quality of the meats has gone down as well. The sides were not fresh. Especially the cucumbers. This is no hate to the staff but almost everyone that worked there seemed miserable as well. They did a great job but it just seemed like they all were sad for some reason. I truly think it's the environment. I would hate working at such a depressing restaurant. The staff were attentive and consistently checking on us. They never left us alone for too long! There was one guy with glasses that was exceptional. He was great with the small details of serving. Always pre bused something from the table every time he came by. Paint over that black wall in the back and fill it from top to bottom with Korean art work as an accent wall! Or put in giant decorative shelves with plants and collectible Korean toys. I've enjoyed Korean barbecue many times, so when I saw the price, I thought I had found a great midday option. Unfortunately, the experience didn't live up to expectations. The happy hour kalbi turned out to be four small pieces of meat for $9.95, which I had to cook myself. A bowl of rice was an additional charge, and there were no sides, vegetables, soup, or salad included. I left the restaurant still hungry, which is never a good sign after lunch. What disappointed me most was the lack of guidance and hospitality. As someone new to Japanese-style barbecue, I asked a few simple questions to understand what I was ordering. When I confirmed this was the happy hour portion, the server said yes--but didn't explain the serving size or suggest additional items. A little coaching would have gone a long way. At one point, when I asked whether the meal came with sides like banchan or rice, I was told, "This is not Korean barbecue." I completely understand the distinction now, but the tone felt curt rather than helpful. Hospitality is about helping guests navigate something unfamiliar, not making them feel like they should already know. I also ordered iced water with lemon, and the lemon never arrived...only the ice water. Was this an omen of what's to come?? Another frustration was the parking situation. I paid for parking through ParkMobile outside the restaurant, only to discover after entering that parking validation was available inside. That information would have been much more useful if it had been communicated clearly before guests park or pay. From a customer experience standpoint, it feels like something that could easily be improved with better signage--lead with the good stuff. The location itself is also somewhat isolated. While technically in Uptown, it's not in a particularly walkable or high-traffic area, so most guests will need to park in a garage or pay for street parking. There isn't much nearby other than an apartment complex above the restaurant, which makes clear parking instructions and strong service even more important. To be fair, the restaurant was clean, and the meat itself was flavorful. The concept of Japanese BBQ is interesting, and I now understand that this style is very different from Korean BBQ, with smaller, à-la-carte portions designed to be built into a meal. That said, the overall experience felt transactional rather than welcoming. I left hungry--and disappointed--not because of the food quality, but because the service and communication could have been better at several points along the way. This visit felt like a missed opportunity. With a little more attentiveness, clearer guidance, and stronger customer engagement, the experience could have been completely different. Don't let one restaurant deter you. Life is short--get out there and eat.

We loved the short ribs and garlic shirmp with the herb butter! We ordered à la cart but wish the portions were bigger. Each meat dish was around $10 and was personal sized. Probably worth it to do the all you can eat in the future. The table side sweet soy and ponzu were a great dipping sauce too. The s'mores dessert was a unique experience at a bbq place.

Our experience was outstanding- we shared the lobster bisque and bread offering, both were amazing. Afterwards, we each had the large filet mignon entree, which was also delicious and cooked perfectly. For dessert we shared the tiramisu and it was incredible. Our server, Skye (sp?) was so fun and charismatic, and she provided a "just right" level of attentiveness to our needs. Can't wait to return.

We were seated and expressly told a specific waitress would be taking care of us then nothing, I mean absolutely nothing thereafter!!! No complementary water, no bread basket not a single person saying someone would be right with us - just complete radio silence. We looked around and realized we were the only two people of color in the restaurant as well. Finally, a young lady started approaching, and we assumed she was headed our way instead she began catering to the table across the aisle from us a table that was seated a full 10 minutes after we were!!!! She introduced herself to them and lo and behold. It was the very same waitress we were told would be caring for us. We assumed she would get to us next, but she did not. We waited five more minutes and then walked out! On our way out. I summarized our experience with the manager, a very pregnant young lady. She apologized profusely and nearly begged us to return and allow her to personally service, but my husband was completely OVER it. This was our anniversary we chose this place to celebrate and the night was now ruined. I have never used the race card in my life, but as I explained to the manager the complete lack of service and failure to even acknowledge our presence in the building felt very intentional. The manager did gift us a generous gift card, which I still have yet to use. Maybe I will maybe I won't but the damage to our special night was already done.

We had an 8:00 reservation but opted to sit at the bar as it's a rare occurrence for us. I couldn't decide what I wanted and asked the bartenders what they would recommend. I ended up opting for a lovely French wine. We ordered an appetizer and split a pork dish. At the end of our meal I asked for an appertif of sambuca and a bread pudding. To which the bartender told me we were going to "tap the brakes"...?? I was honestly confused about being cut off after one drink with meals served and a bar that was half empty and truly it made me upset. While I understand the responsibility of not over-serving, you also have the responsibility of being right about your judgement to which was wrong. We ended up leaving and spending our money elsewhere, a place where I was served because I was not in fact drunk. I was trying to enjoy a few drinks on a date. Be better flat iron.
